“It’s not easy being green...”
- Kermit the Frog

Since the dawn of our days on Earth, mankind has looked to the night sky and wondered what lies beyond our stars. Were we truly alone in the universe, or were we waiting for the day when little grey men paid our planet a visit? When these aliens arrived, would they greet us with open arms, or will we be forced to enter a war across the cosmos? When the fate of the world is at stake, the Earth must elect a champion to protect us from the coming invasion and bring peace across the universe, and who better to represent us than those who proudly wear our planet’s color?

Ben 10, the prideful Plumber and bearer of the Omnitrix. Green Lantern, the tenacious Emerald Knight of the Justice League. While their weapons may be small, not to mention super fashionable, they contain power unlike anything we have ever seen - for them, there are no limits as to what they could wield and become in their fight against the forces of evil. In their careers, Ben Tennyson and Hal Jordan have stopped dozens of alien warriors, travelled the universe and saved our planet from certain doom, but in a matter of days, one of these great galactic guardians will be forced into retirement - permanently.

Background

Ben 10

Benjamin “Ben” Kirby Tennyson was your average 10-year old boy who was just waiting to get out of school to go on the best summer vacation ever with his Grandpa Max, or perhaps the worst summer vacation ever once he found out that his cousin Gwen was tagging along. After setting up camp for the first night, Ben decided to go on a walk, moping about how awful his vacation was going to be. It was on this walk through the woods where an alien canister of some sort crash-landed right at Ben’s feet, carrying in it a cool-looking watch. For young Tennyson, everything started when this alien device did what it did. Upon reaching out to the watch, it leapt up and stuck itself upon his wrist with secrets that it hid. Now he’s got superpowers, he’s no ordinary kid, he’s Ben 10!

Translation: this wasn’t just any cool-looking watch. This was the Omnitrix, an advanced piece of alien technology which allowed Ben to transform into ten different alien creatures. With these newfound powers, what else was a ten-year old boy craving adventure on his summer vacation going to do but use them to become a superhero! Ben spent the next two months fighting off evil from Earth or space, from bank robbers to intergalactic warlords, unlocking new aliens along the way as well.

Aside from a four-year gap to return to some semblance of a normal life in his adolescent, Ben has been an active hero all the way up to his mid-40s, eventually renaming himself to Ben 10,000 to include all the thousands of aliens he had managed to unlock since his early days. He now stands as Earth’s best defense against any threat that comes their way.

Green Lantern

Since he was born, Hal Jordan had always dreamt of taking to the stars and soaring among them. The middle child of a well-off family from Coast City, he was inspired by the work of his father - a test pilot for various experimental plans from Ferris Aircraft - and hoped to one day learn how to fly just like he did. Even as he was traumatized from the sight of the crash that ultimately claimed his dad’s life, Hal remained undeterred; at the age of 18, he joined the United States Air Force as a fighter pilot, running many dangerous missions in service to his country for several years and overcoming them while being ever-so defiant in the face of fear itself.

One day, Hal came across a crashed alien spaceship; its pilot Abin Sur detected the amazing willpower that he possessed, and with his dying words, entrusted to him an object of great import and strength: a Green Lantern ring. In a matter of minutes, he was conscripted into an organization of what essentially boiled down to “intergalactic policemen”; for Eons, the Green Lantern Corps patrolled the galaxy to root out injustice wherever it hid, and used their mighty power rings to create constructs powered by their users’ will and strength to fight against fear - qualities that Hal had embodied for his entire life without realizing it.

With the power bestowed upon him came the appropriate responsibilities Hal was assigned to protect his home sector from threats both within and out of his world, and he never had to do it alone. For many decades, he fought valiantly to uphold the principles the Guardians of Oa wanted to impart; whether it was by himself, other Green Lanterns from Earth and beyond, and even his hundreds of allies from the Justice League - of which he is a founding member, he proved to villains all around to that whether in brightest day or in darkest night, those who worship evil’s might will forever fear his indomitable will and might.

Equipment

Ben 10

Omnitrix

Ben’s first and only “weapon” is the Omnitrix, a device created that housed the DNA of over one million aliens inside of it, though we haven’t seen everything he has to offer quite yet. With just a few inputs, Ben can transform into any form he wants and gain their powers. There are several forms Ben has, each with their own abilities.

The Omnitrix can also scan the DNA of species that touch it, and after a few hours, and a transformation sequence that takes place over that time, Ben can use that being’s DNA whenever he wants. However, the Omnitrix has since gained an ability to automatically scan and copy unknown DNA in it’s immediate vicinity, without the need for touch.

And it gets better. After getting the Omnitrix to self-destruct, Ben got an upgrade into the Ultimatrix. This version had several new features, but the most prominent was its ability to “evolve” the aliens in the Omnitrix, allowing Ben to give them more powers and making them even better at what they were already able to do. Ultimate Aliens are more battle-based, and are incredibly powerful compared to their normal counterparts.

Eventually though, Azmuth removed the Ultimatrix and gave Ben the true Omnitrix, revealing the one he got when he was 10 was merely a prototype. It lacks the Ultimization function, but has a few new features in its place.

Green Lantern

Power Ring

Hal’s go-to weapon. The Power Ring itself was created on the planet Oa by the guardians of the universe. While several types of Power Rings do exist, Hal and all other Green Lanterns have one that’s standard issue when they join the Green Lantern Corps. The Power Ring can create constructs of whatever Hal wants just by using his willpower (we will go over some of his most used constructs later). They have an energy limit however, and if they run out, they will need to be recharged.

Power Battery

The Green Lantern Power Batteries were created by the Guardians of the Universe to serve as an energy conduit to the Green Lantern Central Power Battery which is on Oa. A Green Lantern can keep them in a pocket dimension and then pull out the Battery when they need do in order to recharge the Power Ring when it runs out.

Abilities

Ben 10

Heatblast

The original of the originals, Heatblast was Ben’s first transformation ever. And what better way to start off than with some good old fashioned fire powers? As a Pyronite, Heatblast can shoot fire from his fingers and hands, create fireballs, create beams of fire which can be used to attack or to fly, and absorb any fire he’s surrounded by. While under the effects of a cold, he can do the same with ice. Though, of course, enough water or something that can extinguish fire will keep him from being able to use his flames until he’s able to reignite.

Diamondhead

As a Petrosapien, Diamondhead can fire shards of crystals out of his hands and alter the structure of his body to make his arms as sharp as blades. He’s also fairly durable and strong, able to overpower the powerful space conqueror Vilgax in a one-on-one fight. Also, should Diamondhead ever lose any limbs, he can regenerate, though his regeneration has its limits. He’s also fairly weak to sonic attacks.

Four Arms

While Four Arms may seem like some sort of recolor of Mortal Kombat’s Goro, he’s actually quite different. As a Tetramand, Four Arms is extremely strong in both upper and lower body strength, able to lift objects several time his own size and able to jump up to seven stories tall in a single jump. He can also create shockwaves like Hulk’s Thunderclap. And just like Diamondhead, Four Arms is incredibly durable, nearly fire and laser proof. But being big also means that Four Arms is much slower and his bulk makes him less dexterous. Also, when under the affects of a cold, Four Arms is severely weakened and develops gross hives under his arms.

XLR8

Of course Ben has an almost exact opposite to Four Arms. XLR8 (yes, that’s exactly how it’s spelled in the show. Pronounced ‘accelerate’) is a Kineceleran and is the speedster of the group. He can move at incredibly high speeds, to the point of time seeming to stop around him or even making him invisible to the point that the only way to see him is through a high-speed camera’s slow-motion feature. His body is so focused on speed that he can think at much faster speeds than a human can, create vortexes just by running in circles, run fast enough to run on water, and even recover from injury faster than most other aliens. He’s also stronger than you’d expect, able to carry several people at once. However, XLR8 can’t run very easily on certain surfaces, like strong adhesives or ice. Also, holding down his tail keeps him from being able to move

Wildmutt

A Vulpimancer, Wildmutt is blind and doesn’t speak, instead growling or howling like a wolf. But just because Wildmutt doesn’t have eyes doesn’t mean he can’t see. His other senses are enhanced that his hearing and smell can give him a rather detailed idea of his surroundings, very much like Daredevil. He’s got enhanced strength - able to rip off a car roof in one go - has agility that lets him hop around or climb buildings with ease, and is durable enough to survive a steel tower falling on him. And while a quadruped, his hind legs are still strong enough to let him stand on them alone or grab things with them. His senses, however, are both his biggest strength and his biggest weakness, as screwing with Wildmutt’s sense of smell or hearing can severely weaken him.

Grey Matter

Grey Matter is easily Ben’s smartest alien. As a Galvan, the same alien species who created the Omnitrix in the first place, Grey Matter possesses extraordinary intelligence. He can perform repairs on even the most complex of devices, and gives Ben information on stuff he hasn’t even seen before. Just from a glance, he can determine the mechanical makeup of any piece of technology. This intelligence isn’t just limited to mechanical devices. If given the chance, Grey Matter can even control living things. He’s also able to breathe underwater and has a prehensile tongue since Galvans are insectivores by nature, very much like frogs. Unfortunately, unless given some prep time, Grey Matter’s not really meant for fighting given that he’s not even a foot tall. Granted, he’s surprisingly strong for his size, but he’s not really meant for a fight. And while Grey Matter is intelligent, Ben’s own lack of intelligence can sometimes kick in and cause Grey Matter to make miscalculations sometimes.

Upgrade

A Galvanic Mechamorph, a techno-organic race made by the Galvins, Upgrade is a semi-solid being, allowing his body to dodge and weave around projectile attacks. But Upgrade’s main benefit is to wrap around any machine and give it… well, an upgrade. He can not only temporarily fix certain machines this way, but he can also give them additions such as lasers. Speaking of lasers, even while not possessing a form of machinery, Upgrade can heat its techno-organic blood to fire a laser from the circle on its face. He can survive the vacuum of space, reshape his body at will, and can regenerate his body if he’s damaged. His strength is also enhanced even while in his normal form. However, Upgrade’s body can only be stretched so far before he starts to get hurt, and being techno-organic, he can also be severely hurt by electricity, EMPs, magnetic fields, and techno-organic viruses.

Ripjaws

A Piscciss Volann, Ripjaws is Ben’s go-to if there’s ever a situation underwater. He can swim at incredible speeds thanks to his enhanced agility and can withstand deep-pressure underwater. The little angler-fish bit on his head can even serve as a light in dark areas. His strength allows him to lift objects much heavier than himself. His jaws and claws are also able to tear through metal with ease. He can even turn his legs into a fishtail for better swimming. But being an aquatic creature has its problems. While Ripjaws can breathe out of the water, he can dehydrate quickly. This isn’t as much of a problem as Ben got older as Piscciss Volanns don’t need to be in the water as much as they age, but it can still appear from time to time.

Ghostfreak

An Ectonurite, Ghostfreak has several abilities akin to that of ghosts. He’s got the usual stuff light flight, invisibility, intangibility, and even possession. He can also make other people or objects invisible and intangible if he grabs them, and he can make parts of himself intangible rather than just his whole body. And when he moves through a living being, he can make them feel, pun possibly intended, deathly cold. He can sharpen his hands into claws that are razor sharp, strong enough to tear through metal. He even has tentacles to intimidate foes, and they're strong enough to hold a bus. Ghostfreak is also immune to life-drain attacks, as Ectonurites lack life energy (while Ectonurites are technically alive, their 'life' is considered different from most sapient beings). Underneath his skin is his true form, which appears much more frightening. It also gives him full access to Ghostfreak's abilities. However, Ghostfreak has a fair amount of weaknesses. While he is capable of flight, he's not as fast compared to Ben's other flying aliens. His possession can't work on beings that lack a mind, like zombies. Removing the second skin makes him stronger, but also makes him extremely vulnerable to sunlight, risking complete disintegration. His intangibility will be canceled out against other intangible opponents, and he's weak to magic. Originally, Ben risked being taken over by Ghostfreak's original personality as Zs'Skayr, but this is no longer a problem with his new Omnitrix.

Stinkfly

The final of Ben’s original 10 aliens, Stinkfly is a Lepidopterran. Usually used as his go-to when Ben needs to fly, Stinkfly can fly at incredible speeds and is agile enough to turn on a dime. He also is surprisingly strong, able to fly around even while Vilgax had a hold on his tail. Stinkfly also is able to see 360 degrees using his eyestalks, allowing him to have a good detection of his surroundings. But Stinkfly can also fight. The stinger bit on the end of his tail is surprisingly sharp, but his main weapon is actually the goo that Stinkfly shoots from his eye stalks. But Stinkfly does have his own issues. Chemicals, poisons, and gasses are a weakness to him, as is water. While Stinkfly’s exoskeleton is durable enough to survive getting smashed through a building, his wings are very fragile, especially if drenched in water. Stinkfly also can’t swim, which makes sense when you look at his legs. He also smells terrible, as his name suggests, so being stealthy with Stinkfly is very difficult.

Cannonbolt

While on a visit to Yellowstone National Park, Ben unlocked a new alien: Cannonbolt. Cannonbolt is an Arburian Pelarota. While Cannonbolt does have two legs he can walk around on, his main method of travel, as well as attack, is to curl up into a ball like Sonic the Hedgehog and start crashing into everything. This was originally a defensive technique, but Ben somehow weaponized it to be one for offense. Cannonbolt can slam into walls and enemies without much loss in momentum, and he can even open up to attack with his claws or spin fast enough to create a tornado. He can still perceive his surroundings while in ball form despite his eyes being covered and has enhanced reaction time, reflexes, dexterity, and balance. He can carry others along for the ride by tucking them into the ball form and can survive temperatures that are double that of re-entry and even the vacuum of space (though he does still require oxygen to breathe). That being said, Cannonbolt gave Ben a lot of difficulty when he first unlocked him, as he is still affected by the laws of physics. This means that it’s incredibly difficult to stop him or for him to even slow himself down once he starts going too fast.

Ditto

As a Splixson, Ditto has the ability to duplicate himself and if we were to take Dr. Animo at his word, Ditto has no limit to the amount of clones he can create. However, much like Grey Matter, Ditto isn’t exactly meant for fighting as his small size and his below average strength and speed prevent him from being of much use. Additionally, any damage one Ditto sustained would be felt amongst all of the Dittos, making him very impractical to use, though thankfully that weakness has since been patched and Dittos can now be killed without any adverse effects towards the rest of the clones. Though the weakness still applies if the original Ditto is killed.

Wildvine

After being captured by fungal creatures at a summer camp, Ben unlocked Wildvine. As a Florauna, Wildvine can stretch his arms and fingers like vines, allowing him to grab objects from far away and even swing around areas like Spider-Man. He can also merge with any plant life he encounters, change his body’s color for camouflage, and can shoot seeds from his back that contain a whole group of different substances of the lethal and non-lethal varieties. He’s also immune to gasses and hypnotism, and can regrow parts of is body if damaged. However, his vines are easily tangled if not careful and, being a plant creature, he has a severe weakness to fire.

Upchuck

Upchuck was unlocked thanks to Xylene, the one who was in charge of delivering the Omnitrix. Gourmands like Upchuck are at the top of the food chain and the species shows this by eating their planet. They’ve already gone through 11 planets in their system and they’ll probably find some other poor system to ravage once they’re done with theirs. Anyways, Upchuck is a rare case in that he actually has two different forms for Ben to choose from, Murk and Perk. The more often used Perk form has access to four prehensile tongues, which can latch onto objects (or energy) and reel them into Upchuck’s bottomless stomach. These objects will then be turned into explosive energy blasts which Upchuck can vomit out at his opponents. However, while all Upchucks have a “trans-spatial bladder dimension” for a stomach there is a limit to how much they can eat. Best demonstrated when Upchuck consumed “sub-energy” which Max claimed could level an entire continent and when Upchuck released the energy destroyed Mount Rushmore. The Murk form has one large prehensile tongue and can actually consume organic food but that’s about it.

Blitzwolfer

Also known as Benwolf, Blitzwolfer is the first alien that Ben unlocked by having its DNA scanned. As a Loboan, Blitzwolfer has enhanced strength, speed, stamina, durability, and senses. But his most well-known ability is Ultrasonic Howl, which can damage targets, reflect projectiles or, if aimed at the ground, propel him into the air. And in case you think his bark is worse than his bite, he also has incredibly sharp teeth and claws, with the claws on his feet able to work like talons. But, since he’s similar to Earth canines, his hearing is sensitive, so loud noises are enough to overwhelm him.

Buzzshock

The first of Ben’s many electric-based aliens (although chronologically, Ben doesn’t get the form until Omniverse). Buzzshock is a Nosdeenian, which can fire out electric blasts, can turn into an electric current, fly, absorb electricity and can take over machines. However, with the exception of his speed, Buzzshock tends to be overshadowed by Ben’s other electric aliens as he doesn’t really pack much of a punch and can’t take a hit. It should also go without saying that electricity absorbers or any material that insulates electricity is a bad matchup for this guy.

Way Big

Way Big is a To’kustar, a species of alien created in cosmic storms and he is easily the largest and most powerful of the original series aliens. His debut pretty much had him destroy Vilgax’s entire army and ended with him throwing Vilgax into space. Of course just because he’s large doesn’t mean he’s slow, as he was easily capable of running so fast he created a vortex that sent the personification of the Pacific Garbage Vortex into space. However, his most powerful ability is creating cosmic rays from his arms which are powerful enough to overpower the Incursean Conquest Ray, which once destroyed Pluto with ease and was stated to do the same to Earth. Way Big also might be able to create a cosmic storm as Evil Way Big did the same thing in Cosmic Destruction but the canonicity of that game is sketchy at best and even if Way Big could do so, it’s an ability he has never actually used before. But even the biggest alien has a big weakness. If the fin on his head is struck, he becomes paralyzed.

Eye Guy

Eye Guy is an Opticoid from the planet Sightra. As you can likely tell from his image, Eye Guy has 360 degree vision but he also has the ability to shoot lasers out of those eyes. These lasers come in three variants; fire, ice and just good old energy blasts. He also has quite good hearing but like Wildmutt, his main weakness is that he is at risk of a sensory overload.

Spitter

Spitter is kinda weird in the sense that he’s an alien that was only used by Ben 10,000. Derrick Wyatt has stated that Spitter has been unlocked and the intro to Ultimate Alien implies Present Ben has access to him but unlike Buzzshock and Articguana, Spitter never made an appearance in the present day. Regardless, Spitter is a Sphoeroid, which allows him to fire off a blast of slime at his opponents and that’s about all the abilities he showed in his limited screen time.

Arctiguana

As a Polar Manzardill, Arctiguana has the ability to fire a long-range freeze ray which is so cold it can instantly flash freeze molten lava. This ray is also powerful enough to propel Arctiguana into the air. However, since his lone ability is his breath, Arctiguana’s freeze ray has a limit to it and he will need to take a break to catch his breath should it ever run out.

Snare-Oh

The second alien Ben obtained by scanning it’s DNA. Snare-oh, also known as Benmummy, has the ability to completely manipulate his bandage body. By manipulating his bandages, Snare-oh is capable of flight, shapeshifting and can even stretch his limbs to grab onto opponents. Though he doesn’t have much in the way of durability, Snare-oh can easily regenerate his bandages should anything happen to them. Snare-oh is also extremely agile and as demonstrated by The Mummy, can survive being frozen by liquid nitrogen. However, Snare-oh’s bandages can easily be grabbed to prevent him from moving.

Frankenstrike

Frankenstrike, otherwise known as Benvictor, got his DNA sample scanned and unlocked from Dr. Victor. Like Buzzshock, Frankenstrike’s main ability is his electrokinesis. Unlike Buzzshock, Frankenstrike trades off speed and agility for brute strength and durability. Frankenstrike’s main means of attack is his green lightning blasts, but he can also generate electromagnetic fields so that he can stick to surfaces like say, the outside of a spaceship. Dr. Victor himself also used lightning to create portals somehow but he (and Frankenstrike for that matter) never used that ability outside of the original series. Frankenstrike’s one weakness is that people can absorb his electricity through the two conductors on his back.

Swampfire

5 years after Ben found the Omnitrix, he was called into action once again after Max went missing and the Omnitrix gave him 10 new aliens to choose from, only allowing him to use them until later, and Swampfire was the first alien Ben had used. A Methanosian, Swampfire is able to ignite the methane gas in his body to shoot flames out of his hands with extreme precision or to fly like Heatblast can. He can also control plant-life using telekinetic powers, can shoot seeds that make vines strong enough to restrain Vilgax, create spores and other plant-based chemicals, create mud so sticky that not even the strongest creatures can pull it off of themselves, and can regrow limbs that he’s lost. He’s even regenerated when his body was splattered and can reattach lost limbs if they’re close enough. However, his methane also produces a stench that makes stealth nearly impossible. His body can also be frozen, though he can melt the ice itself even while encased in it. And while he can reform his body, if its cut continuously, it can’t reform. In addition, while he can control plants, he can’t control weeds.

Humungosaur

Another of Ben’s heavy hitters, Humungosaur is a Vaxasaurian. As his appearance implies, Humungosaur is incredibly strong, even for his size. In his base, he can lift up something as huge as Way Big, and is capable of throwing most objects to near-orbit. His armored skin also lets him tank a lot of damage, from blaster fire and heavy impacts, and he’s even capable of surviving in space. He can even increase his size to much larger levels, as well as gain traits similar to the stegosaurus, namely back plates and tail spikes. Even for his huge size, he’s quite agile, capable of acrobatics. Humungosaur can also roar as an intimidation tactic. He doesn’t have a lot of weaknesses, aside from his huge size making it difficult for him to fight or fit in small spaces, though he has shown to be somewhat vulnerable to electricity and fire.

Echo Echo

As a Sonorosian, Echo Echo has the ability to generate sonic screams, much like Blitzwolfer. However, unlike Blitzwolfer, Echo Echo can also manipulate these sonic screams for echolocation and can even make force fields out of them. Echo Echo also takes from Ditto’s skill set and can duplicate himself, allowing him to get creative in how he uses his powers. Echo Echo has two known techniques, which make use of his powers; “Wall of Sound”, which has him duplicate himself into a line before unleashing a number of sonic screams all at once and “Echo Chamber”, which involves him surrounding an opponent with his clones before bombarding them with sonic attacks. Unlike Ditto, Echo Echo is actually quite strong for his size, but he is still quite fragile as his fight with Ultimate Kevin showed the clones easily being one-shot.

Big Chill

Big Chill was Ben’s stealth-based alien during Alien Force to replace Ghostfreak. Big Chill is a Necrofriggian. Like Ghostfreak, Big Chill has several powers associated with ghosts such as flight, intangibility and one occasion even invisibility (though he could still be detected with the right technology). However, Big Chill places a larger emphasis on cryokinesis. His most commonly used ability is his freeze breath but he can also freeze people through touch, generating freeze rays out of his hands or just phasing through his opponent. No matter what he uses to do it, Big Chill can create ice constructs and can even manipulate them by (presumably) manipulating the water molecules in the air before freezing them. His attacks have also consistently beaten fire or heat-based attacks. However, Big Chill is not without his weaknesses. His intangibility can be canceled out by other users of the power or even by those wielding weapons that don’t apply by conventional rules like Vilgax’s gauntlet which managed to grab him and shock him. He also might have a weakness to electricity but he’s managed to phase through it before. He also has a big weakness to hypnosis, so much so that his natural predator use it.

Goop

Polymorphs like Goop come from a planet with much lighter gravity, which means that just to move around Goop needs the Anti-Gravity Projector (that UFO thing above his head). While this is a pretty big weakness, Goop does have the benefit of being able to manipulate his entire body. He can easily shapeshift to more easily capture people but the picture above is his most used form. Goop also possesses the ability to fly, camouflage himself underwater and generate acidic projectiles which are so corrosive they melt rock. Also, as Goop possesses no internal organs, he can take any damage anywhere on his body and regenerate soon afterwards. However, Goop’s Anti-Gravity Projector possesses his greatest ability; gravity manipulation. The Anti-Gravity Projector was able to stabilize and restore planet Piscciss’ gravitational field. During this Goop became spread throughout the entire planet and, if Kevin is to be believed, “atomized”, yet he survived this encounter. Unfortunately, Goop likely cannot actively manipulate gravity since he wasn’t actually trying to do this.

Brainstorm

A Smash players worst nightmare besides showers. Brainstorm is a Cerebrocrustacean, another of Ben’s more intelligent aliens. Possessing an IQ of a nonillion, Brainstorm specialises in analytical thinking and is easily able to come up with the plan that will yield the best possible outcome. However, unlike Grey Matter, Brainstorm is actually useful in combat with him also being yet another electrokinetic alien. With electrokinesis, Brainstorm can generate electrical blasts, manipulate electromagnetic fields and create electricity constructs. He can also use his electrokinesis in conjunction with his large I.Q to use powers like mind control (albeit on a yeti), barrier generation and telekinesis (by manipulating those barriers). He also has levitation for some reason. Brainstorm’s physical condition is nothing to laugh at either with enhanced strength and durability, but he does tend to rely on his electrokinesis which means he has a hard time dealing with opponents that specifically counter electrical attacks. He’s also rather arrogant and needlessly tries to find the most complex plan he can think of when the simple solution is looking him right in the face.

Jetray

Yet another one of Ben’s fliers, Jetray is an Aerophibian and one of Ben’s fastest aliens. Even in his early days, Jetray could easily move faster than the speed of sound. Later on in the series, Jetray manages to enter hyperspace and catches to a ship moving faster than the speed of light. For offensive purposes, Jetray can generate neuroshock rays out of his eyes and tail, which are powerful enough to overpower a Pyronite’s fire blasts in his debut. Jetray doesn’t have much striking strength however, to the point where one of Spidermonkey’s webs was all it took to ensnare him.

Chromastone

Chromastone joins Cannonbolt in the ‘last of their kind’ club as besides Sugilite, there are no other Crystalsapiens. The reason for this is that Sugilite is actually the guardian of the Petrosapiens, y’know Diamondhead’s species. More on him in a bit. Chromastone is in essence a more energy-based Diamondhead. He has enhanced durability to serve as the tank of the party and could redirect energy like Diamondhead. However, Chromastone could also absorb and manipulate energy and could use this energy to generate shields and heat. However, the episode The Secret Of Chromastone made him a lot more interesting when it was revealed that his DNA source was the guardian of Petropia. Using the Petropia crystal, Sugilite was able to fly from Earth to Petropia (which is in a completely different solar system) within a few hours, restore the shattered planet and resurrect the dead Petropians. Though Chromastone does not have the crystal anymore, he has displayed Sugilite’s uncanny ability to defy the laws of physics and fly. Additionally, he can absorb mana and his blasts have been powerful enough to harm the Diagon, an eldritch abomination that conquered 100 dimensions and took over the entirety of Earth. Still there are limits to the amount of energy Chromastone can absorb and he can be shattered with enough force (as Vilgax showed).

Spidermonkey

As an Arachnichimp, Spidermonkey is extremely agile, wall crawl and also has some degree of enhanced strength. His most notable ability is to generate webbing to trap opponents. However, these webs can be destroyed with enough heat or force. There is also a brief moment of time where Spidermonkey is still attached to his webs, which enemies can use against him.

Lodestar

Lodestar is a Biosorvortian. He has the standard enhanced strength and durability most of Ben’s aliens have but he also has the ability to manipulate magnetic fields. He can manipulate these fields into a forcefield to prevent metallic enemies from coming near him or generate a pull/push force that affects all metal on the battlefield. He has even done this to almost telekinetically throw cars at opponents. If Lodestar is blown up, he can just pull his body together because “magnets”. Unfortunately Lodestar’s skill set is pretty useless against enemies that aren’t affected by magnetism, meaning that he is pretty limited when it comes for foes to fight.

RATH HAS A SHORT TEMPER, AND KNOWS THAT THE ONLY SOLUTION TO THINGS IS TO HIT IT, AND IF IT DOESN’T WORK, YOU JUST GOTTA HIT IT A LOT! RATH MAY NOT BE DUMB, BUT RATH HAS ARGUED WITH DUMB THINGS LIKE A SHIP, GRAVITY, A RATH-SIZED HOLE AND WATER! OH, THAT’S RIGHT! RATH HATES WATER! YEAH YEAH, RATH KNOWS ACTUAL TIGERS ARE FINE WITH WATER, BUT RATH AIN’T A TIGER! RATH IS AN APPOPLEXIAN! WHAT’S LEFT… RIGHT! SOME SONIC FREQUENCIES ARE BAD FOR RATH’S EARS, AND CAN REALLY MESS RATH UP! AND THAT’S IT FOR RATH! WHAT?! YOU DON’T THINK RATH IS THE BEST ALIEN EVER?! WANNA FIGHT?! WANNA FIGHT?!?!

Nanomech

First appearing in Alien Swarm... no seriously, Nanomech is without a doubt Ben’s tiniest alien. He can use this size to effectively disappear from the battlefield and defeat an enemy from within. Nanomech also possesses the ability to fly and generate green electrical blasts which are powerful enough to send the comparatively much larger Inspector 13 flying. However, Nanomech’s combat potential is quite limited as while proportionately he’s got a degree of enhanced strength, his size negates that quite easily. He’s also not very durable, as he can be defeated with the same kinds of methods one would use to defeat insects (like a fly-swatter or a book).

Water Hazard

Some time just before the events of Ultimate Alien, a man named Aggregor rounded up five aliens in hopes to absorb them and become the perfect being. Bivalvan, an Orishan and Water Hazard’s DNA sample, was the first one Ben’s team found. Water Hazard’s most prominent ability is his hydrokinesis which he uses to generate jets of water, absorb the water molecules in the air and manipulate the density of water to cushion a person’s fall. He also can propel himself into the air with his water jets. If Aggregor’s use of Bivalvan’s DNA is any indication, Water Hazard can also generate a bubble shield which is tough enough to withstand missiles and laser fire. Water Hazard also has enhanced strength and speed, but it’s his shell that truly stands out. According to Aggregor, Water Hazard’s shell grants him nigh-invulnerability, which was put to good use against P’andor’s radioactive attacks.

Terraspin

Terraspin is a Geochelone Aerio, a race of peaceful aliens who do nothing but relax and eat grass. So naturally Aggregor invaded their planet and stole one. Galapagus, the DNA sample for Terraspin, was strong enough to throw cars around and quick enough to bat away a missile using a street lamp. Terraspin can also pull a discount Gamera by tucking himself into his shell and spinning so fast he flies into the air. However, Terraspin’s best power is his aerokinesis, which he has used to generate winds capable of lifting cars as well as mini-tornadoes. According to Aggregor, Terraspin should have mana immunity, but given how Terraspin has been affected by mana before, it’s likely an ability that must be activated consciously much like Big Chill and Ghostfreak’s intangibility.

AmpFibian

Yet another electricity alien. Don’t worry, Ben’s still got more. Anyway, AmpFibian is an Amperi, which Ra’ad (DNA sample), claims to be a species of “masters of the electromagnetic spectrum”. He’s not wrong. AmpFibian’s electrokinesis allows him to fire off electrical blasts, telekinetically move people with these blasts, summon lightning, absorb and manipulate electricity and turn into an electrical current. He can also become intangible and Ra’ad was able to read Kevin’s mind by sensing the electrical impulses in the brain. Much like Big Chill, AmpFibian can affect his opponents (read: electrocute) by simply phasing through them. Due to AmpFibian’s physiology, AmpFibian can also stretch his limbs outwards, breathe underwater and fly. AmpFibian is not without his weaknesses though as he is vulnerable to electricity absorption and anyone that is a good electricity insulator is bound to be a bad matchup for him. He can also electrocute himself if he is halfway submerged in water.

Armodrillo

Out of the five aliens Aggregor rounded up, Andreas, a Talpaedan, was undoubtedly the strongest in terms of physical force. Armodrillo is strong enough to generate earthquakes by digging into the ground. Andreas repeatedly generated earthquakes of such magnitude that they demolished entire castles and Aggregor, using Andreas’ DNA was capable of easily defeating Humungousaur and generated a shockwave that wiped out several (admittedly rundown) buildings. Besides his strength, Armodrillo has also demonstrated the ability to generate vibrations and has used these vibrations to propel himself into the air. He can also indirectly manipulate the earth to create earthly structures. Armodrillo is also quite durable as Andreas was able to survive a point-blank blast from a bomb that was going to wipe out everything in 5 square miles. That said, Armodrillo is quite vulnerable to electrical attacks as well as attacks on his nervous system, and he does still need to breathe.

NRG

NRG is a Prypiatosian-B. Like the other four, P’andor was caught by Aggregor and met Ben’s team. As his body is made up of pure radiation, NRG needs that containment suit to protect others from the radiation of his body. The suit is nigh-indestructible with only Taydenite, wielded by Kevin, being able to damage it thus far. From inside the suit, NRG can still heat the suit up to the point where it is easily able to melt Aggregor’s drones and generate radioactive blasts from the eye holes. NRG can also heat the ground to generate small eruptions of lava. However, it’s outside the suit where he truly starts to shine. Though Ben doesn’t use NRG’s true form much, P’andor was much more agile, could fly, manipulate radiation, fire out radioactive bolts, feed on energy which could also cause him to size-shift and was naturally intangible. NRG himself could also generate enough light to harm Zs’skayr (though that’s not exactly much). NRG’s weaknesses are different between the two forms. While NRG it still surprisingly agile within the armor, it’s also quite easy to make him lose balance and fall down, and he’s not exactly the fastest alien. His true form, however is extremely vulnerable to carbon rods which slow down the rate of reaction.

Fasttrack

Diet XLR8. Seriously, XLR8 has all his abilities. However, Fasttrack is still a user of super speed and does seem to be able to naturally accelerate himself whenever he wants. He also has a degree of enhanced strength as shown when he saved Hulka and Tack from a grenade that was magnetically stuck to Tack’s arm (meaning he had to save them after the grenade detonated). Though if Fasttrack is moving too fast, he will have trouble slowing down and crash.

ChamAlien

If Fasttrack is diet XLR8, ChamAlien is diet Ghostfreak. As a Merlinisapien, ChamAlien can naturally camouflage himself to appear invisible. Unfortunately all Ben uses him for is to sneak into a building, so we’ll have to scale from his DNA sample, Prisoner 775. During his one episode, Prisoner 775 was strong enough to push a truck with enough force to send Humungousaur flying, slippery enough to get out of Gwen’s shields, agile enough to dodge bullets, and had a stinger tail. Unfortunately, ChamAlien is easily the worst of Ben’s stealth aliens with there being several methods to detect him (namely smell, mana and the fact that he still has a shadow).

Eatle

Diet Upchuck, except not really. He shares the same ability as Upchuck in that he eats matter to generate energy blasts, but he can generally generate more powerful lasers with much less. Case in point, Upchuck needed special energy to blow up a mountain, while Eatle did the same with a medium-sized rock. Besides that, he’s also quite durable and strong enough to send Vilgax flying through three pillars. He did have a weakness in regards to his eye placement giving him a blind spot, but thankfully his redesign rectified this.

Clockwork

As a Chronosapien, Clockwork can manipulate time itself. His go-to power is his time beams which can age anything they touch into dust, freeze people in time and send people back to their original timelines. He can also slow down the flow of time by turning that dial on his head and see into the past. Ben 10,000 also has stated that Clockwork can travel through time. However, an alien this powerful has some massive drawbacks. He gets exhausted easily, is one of Ben’s least durable aliens and his weak spot is that key on his head which can stun him if it sustains a large enough impact.

Jury Rigg

Jury Rigg is a Planchkule and essentially a dumber, faster, more demonic Grey Matter. Jury Rigg possesses an impressive technological prowess, which allows him to break break break and fix fix fix any machine he comes across. He’s slightly better than Grey Matter physically speaking, in the sense that he’s much faster and strong enough to break bars an Appoplexian couldn’t break, but he’s still not really a combat alien with Kevin easily being able to pick him up and throw him.

Shocksquatch

Yet another electric alien, Shocksquatch is a Gimlenopithecus. He has many of the same abilities previous electric aliens have. Electrical blasts, electromagnetic field manipulation and electrocution. However, Shocksquatch does differ slightly in that he actually uses electricity to enhance his physical attacks. Shocksquatch is also fast enough to catch up to cars and has some degree of enhanced strength. However, like the other electric aliens, Shocksquatch is weak to electricity absorbers and insulators.

Feedback

The final electric alien, Feedback is a Conductoid and is somewhat different compared to the previous electric aliens. Of course he can generate electric blasts, which he can then use to propel himself into the air, but he can also absorb energy using those tendrils of his. His energy absorption is similar to Chromastone, but unlike Chromastone who needs to be blasted with energy, Feedback can stab his plugs into opponents in an offensive (not insulting, method of attack) manner to absorb their energy. He can also sense radio waves, but besides that he’s got super strength and speed to the point where he could hold and absorb the Big Bang. His energy reserves are incredible, as he was able to hold the afromented Big Bang, and he was able to defeat foes as powerful as Malware, Negative Ultimate Humungosaur and Maltruant. Though despite the huge energy reserves, Feedback will need to recharge with some sort of electricity source, as the energy he has will deplete as the fight continues.

Bloxx

Because apparently a lego alien exists. Well anyway, Bloxx is a Segmentasapien and as such can manipulate his own body. He can easily shapeshift to stretch his arms outwards or form various lego constructs like catapults or the Bloxx Lobber, which fires out explosive legos. Should anything happen to his body, he can easily regenerate and has survived with only half of his body intact. Bloxx is strong enough to break through stone. Bloxx is vulnerable to acidic attacks.

Gravattack

As a Galilean, Gravattack has the ability to manipulate gravity. He has shown being able to increase it or when that fails decrease it so that his opponent is levitating in the air. Gravattack also has his own orbit which caused dozens of missiles to rotate around him. He can also manipulate his own gravity allowing him to levitate into the air and can survive in space. He’s also shown to have pretty good reflexes, able to catch a Time Beast with his gravity powers which was stated to be moving faster than light. However, Gravattack has trouble with opponents that change their mass and that core on his body is a pretty clear weak point.

Crashhopper

As an Orthopterran, Crashhopper has the ability to jump. OK, he can jump really good but besides enhanced agility and being tough enough to tank a missile head on, that’s about the extent of Crashhopper’s abilities. Crashhopper’s weaknesses are a weak spot on his legs and the fact that he can be trapped in sticky substances negating his mobility.

Ball Weevil

Ball Weevil’s main ability is to spit up green plasma balls which he can roll around on. Not only does this give him added mobility, but the balls will quickly grow in size and eventually explode upon making contact with a target. These balls can also absorb energy. Ball Weevil also can generate a plasma whip to ensnare opponents. However, as is the case with all of Ben’s small aliens, he’s not very impressive physically speaking and his goo balls can be reflected back at him. Additionally, they can be negated altogether by certain types of energy.

Walkatrout

Not all of Ben’s aliens can be winners. Seriously, besides underwater breathing and slipperiness, Walkatrout has nothing to offer.

Pesky Dust

As a Nemuina, Pesky Dust has the ability to generate and manipulate powder that puts people to sleep. When that happens he’ll be able to manipulate their dreams. He’s also capable of flight and some degree of enhanced speed. Unfortunately, he doesn’t seem to have directly offensive abilities and opponents that don’t need to sleep are clearly going to negate all of Pesky Dust’s abilities.

Mole-Stache

Mole-Stache has the ability to manipulate that mustache of his and shapeshift it into things like fists, parachutes and propeller blades. His mustache also is strong enough to lift a truck vertically and was capable of defeating Fistrick. Still, Mole-Stache falls a bit short in comparison to most of Ben’s aliens.

The Worst

Yes, this is the actual name Ben gave the alien and for a fairly understandable reason. The Worst is small, fat, and has absolutely no offensive options whatsoever… buuut on the plus side, The Worst is also extremely durable being able to survive energy attacks, extreme heat, acids, etc, though he still feels the pain.

Kickin Hawk

Ben claims Kickin Hawk is his best hand-to-hand fighter. He possesses the standard enhanced strength, speed and durability that most of Ben’s aliens have but he’s nothing special.

Toepick

Toepick’s ability is being so ugly that anyone who looks at him throws up and/or has a crisis that leaves them crippled with fair. He doesn’t seem to have any abilities other than that though.

Astrodactyl

Like Jetray, Astrodactyl can fly and shoot out green energy beams. Astrodactyl can also generate a propulsion blast from his jetpack and also uses plasma whips. He’s also fast enough to fly circles around Psychobos and strong enough to break through Collectimus’ putty.

Bullfrag

Bullfrag is an Incursean, which gives him enhanced strength and agility. Bullfrag’s most prominent power is his stretchable tongue which he can use as a sort of grappling hook as well as attack others.

Atomix

Atomix is one of the more powerful alien forms introduced in Omniverse. He’s easily capable of overpowering Ultimate Humungousaur with a single punch and he can fly. Atomix’s main ability is his nucleokinesis which he uses to generate nuclear attacks and emit heat from himself. He has three named techniques; Fissile Whistle which involves ramming into an opponent at high speeds, Fusion Cuisine, which involves Atomix generating a fusion ball and Nuclear Winner, which generates a blast so powerful it demolished Ultimate Spidermonkey and the room he was in.

Gutrot

Gutrot is essentially a walking chemical laboratory. He can create and generate any gas he wants. The ones he has created though are tear gas, laughing gas, knockout gas, corrosive gas and a pheromone that attract To’kustars. Of course, Gutrot’s powers are useless against people immune to gas and he has no other abilities.

Whampire

As a Vladat, Whampire has an array of abilities. He has two methods of mind control; Corrupturas which control anyone they stick to and plain old hypnosis. He’s also immune to hypnosis, can fly, generate a sonic explosion, see the internal structures of those around him and drain the life force out of people as well as transform into a bat. Not to mention that Whampire himself is quite strong, able to keep up with Malgax. Unfortunately, as a Vladat, Whampire is extremely vulnerable to light and heat and his Corrupturas will only remain effective for however as long as Ben remains a Vladat.

Alien-X

Whew lad. Alien X is Ben’s most powerful alien by far, able to casually reality warp, create a universe and tank a universe’s destruction. It also has displayed numerous amazing feats, hax and abilities, including time manipulation, duplication, mind control, matter creation, size manipulation, flight and telekinesis. Contained within Alien X are Bellicus and Serena, the cosmic voices of rage and love respectively. Ben used to need to debate out between them to get Alien X to function, but since then has gained unrestricted control over Alien X after getting them to agree to allow him control in exchange for not disturbing their cosmic debates.

Green Lantern

Fighting Ability

While he is not as skilled in hand to hand combat as say, Batman, Green Lantern is still an extremely impressive hand-to-hand fighter. He has beaten Sinestro in closequaters combat multiple times and took down several Green Lanterns within a very short time-frame. He has also beaten fellow human Green Lantern Guy Gardner (or as Jamie Reyes’s Sister said - “The Crazy One”) in hand to hand combat.

Willpower

In order to use a Green Lantern Power Ring effectively, you need a considerable amount of willpower, and Hal Jordan has an amazing amount of sheer willpower, so much so that even without any ring, he was still able to beat Sinestro who is one of the former greatest Green Lanterns. During his fight against Krona, even when he had little energy left, he was still able to take them down despite them being one of the most powerful scientists in the DC universe. When Hal Jordan sets his mind to a task, he will complete it no matter how injured he is. That’s just the type of man Hal Jordan is.

Energy Manipulation

Constructs

Energy Blasts

While fighting at a distance, Hal tends to fire energy blasts from his ring. These energy blasts can either be small shots which are meant more for distancting an enemy than beating them, or a straight laser that is strong enough to pierce the likes of Hector Hammond and Krona.

Giant Fist

If Hal wants to knock something else, he will use the Power Ring to create a green construct of a fist that is several times larger than his usual fist. It can also be fired off from a distance. This is his most preferred construct when someone gets close.

Buildings

Hal is capable of creating entire structures using his Green Lantern ring. His most impressive feat regarding this is when Hal recreated the entire of Coast City using his Lantern Ring after it was destroyed.

Armour

Hal Jordan can surround himself with constructed armour in order to protect himself from attacks as his armour is as tough as a Construct Shield which can withstand a supernova. In particular, due to his pilot background, he likes the flier armour which he can use to fly with as well as fire shots and drop constructed bombs. He has also created an armour that resembles the DC hero Steel.

Airplane

Due to Hal’s day job being a pilot, one of his favourite constructs to create are airplanes. Hal can either use an airplane construct in order to pilot it as well as throw them as projectiles towards the enemy.

Minigun

Hal creates a large minigun that he carries with two hands and can fire multiple bullets out of. Usually he does this in order to keep opponents at a distance or when he wants to take on multiple enemies at once. He has also used a Gatling Gun in the New 52.

Shields

Perhaps one of his most used Constructs, Hal will often surround himself with a construct shield in order to protect himself from attacks. These constructs are very hard to break but characters with enough power like Superman are capable of breaking them. They can also be used to prevent people from dying in space.

Swords

Hal can create Sword Constructs in order to fight in melee range. These work like regular swords in that they are able to pierce enemies but can easily be broken with a strong enough strike.

Baseball Bats

Not only a strong weapon that can be used to knock enemies attacks right back at them, but decent meme potential.

The Boot

In order to deal with Dex-Starr - the Red Lantern Cat - he creates a boot to kick him in the butt… should have given him a boot to the head.

Walls

Hal is able to create walls to protect himself from attacks, though they will break with enough hits.

Himself

Hal is able to create a construct of himself. He can also change this construct’s size allowing it to lift as well as stop heavy objects such as ships.

Other Beings

Stealing this idea from the Orange Lantern Larfeeze, Hal was able to create constructs of his Green Lantern friends and allies in order to defeat Larfreeze. This includes the likes of Alan Scott, Guy Gardner and Jade. However, it is very likely these constructs are not as strong as the human lanterns.

Non-Construct Ring Abilities

Invisibility

Intangibility

The Power Ring can make Hal intangible. He can also phase an energy blast into someone's head which he used on Hammond.

Healing

Through charging his ring while using the Power Battery, Hal is able to patch all his wounds up. He can also use the ring to heal his wounds normally, but this drains it of energy.

Sealing

Hal can seal things away in pocket dimensions or trap them in alternate realities he creates. This works on objects, people and even things like someone's voice. With the aid four other lanterns, Hal even sealed away Parallax, the multiversal embodiment of fear.

Spatial Manipulation

Hal can cause spatial warps or subspace waves. His warping can make an inch stretch like a parsec, a difference of 1.2 quintillion times. He traveled fine in an area with no space or time as men know it and bent and shattered reality itself in his battle with Sinestro. His spatial warping was able to make infinity bend back on itself. He was also able to teleport his brother across the universe (1) (2). He and Alan also teleported the entire population of Earth-2.

Time Manipulation

Hal is a casual time traveler. He time traveled to the year of 5707. He was able to rip a hole to 100,000,000 years ago. He can send others to different times and even his power beams to other times. He power-beamed both Flash and Reverse Flash through time. Hal can also disrupt the flow of time. Even on verge of death, he was able to stretch a nanosecond into eternity (1) (2). He was able to freeze time up to a thousand miles from a planet and was competitive with Parallax Hal who was a casual time-freezer.

Besides that Green Lanterns can create time as well. Hal created "chronal energy" and time. A flash of his consciousness was able to disrupt a time null zone. He was perfectly fine in a stasis field where time did not move. Green Lanterns can also destroy time. When the Time Trapper got a Green Lantern ring he destroyed all possible futures of Earth-1.

Matter Manipulation

Even while in his civilian form and dreaming, Hal can transmute people or turns toys real. His ring can rearrange the fundamental parts of objects to form a new thing. His ring was able to scan for weak points and rearrange molecules. The Atom using Hal's ring was able to imperfectly restore the atoms of the JLA and Hal himself was able to pack down the atoms of a star. The ring can also affect particles and Hal has twice shrunk himself down to subatomic sizes (1) (2). Hal's ring will automatically regenerate Hal and even pull his body parts together across dimensions. Hal can also create negative matter.

Mental Manipulation

Soul Manipulation

Hal can separate his own or someone else's soul from their body, or put someone's soul back into their body. Hal’s soul retains his powers and was able to teleport Superman to another dimension.

Power Manipulation

Hal can convert his powerset into other such types of energy including magic. He can also both steal and/or restore other people’s superpowers.

Duplication

By subjecting himself to intense electromagnetism, which is something he can do himself, Hal can create up to twenty clones of himself.

Weaknesses

Ben 10

Ben’s weaknesses are… well, quite various. Besides the fact that each of his own forms has their OWN drawbacks they suffer from, such as Ripjaws’ inability to stay out of water for too long, there’s also the fact that the aliens themselves can have very bizarre side-effects if Ben himself is sick or injured, like Wildmutt’s sense of smell being clogged up when Ben was suffering from a cold. Not all of his aliens mind you, as Chromastone was perfectly fine despite Ben having a cold, but still a good number of them.

While Ben’s aliens are powerful in their own ways, Ben also has to manually switch to each one. The Omnitrix itself also has several problems. When Ben was younger, it would often glitch out on which alien he selected. And it would also go into a recharge mode at the worst possible times, transforming him back into his human self. As he got older, that became less of an issue, but extreme overuse of the Omnitrix can still send it back into recharge mode.

Also, if the faceplate of the Omnitrix is removed, Ben’s forms will combine in odd, and sometimes dangerous ways, something Ben found out first hand. And since he needs to touch the Omnitrix in order to transform, this means that he can be forced to stay human if his arms are restrained.

And above all, at the end of the day, he’s still a kid. While his aliens may be strong, he can be somewhat naive with how he uses them. Even his smartest ones like Grey Matter and Brainstorm are prone to being outwitted (and they’re not the best for battle).

Green Lantern

Being a Green Lantern doesn’t make you invincible, and Hal has learned that quite often. In fact, he used to have a weakness to the color yellow. And while this is no longer a problem, Hal’s ring still has a limited amount of power. If it runs out, Hal can’t use it anymore until it gets recharged, which is really a nuisance when, say, flying through space, or in a prolonged battle with a being that wants you dead. Hal is also incredibly cocky…
something that’s been a problem since before he was drafted into the Corps.

Summary

Ben 10

Advantages:
  • Alien X has a variety of hax.
  • Feedback's (and to a lesser extent, Chromastone's) energy absorption abilities could potentially turn the tide.
  • Unlike the Power Ring, the Omnitrix’s transformations do not run on a time limit; in theory, this could give him an edge in long-term endurance
  • He has some high quality theme songs.
  • Has Rath

Disadvantages:
  • Majority of his forms get stat-stomped by Hal
  • Even Alien X is nothing Hal hasn’t dealt with regularly
  • Most of the hax he possesses are outdone by Hal’s own
  • Lost every category in the CN Awards to Uncle Grandpa
  • Alien Swarm is canon

Green Lantern

Advantages:
  • Vastly outstats every alien Ben has including Alien X
  • What he can do with his energy projection is only limited by his imagination
  • Far more experienced, especially with fighting universal - multiversal reality warping entities equal, if not outright superior, to Alien X
  • Massive variety of hax of his own; most of the hax he possesses are similar to Ben’s, but his own takes on them are far superior by comparison
  • Could just straight up steal Ben’s powers
  • Can make up to twenty clones of himself just for the hell of it if he wants
  • Has very limited weaknesses that Ben can actively exploit
  • Greener
Disadvantages:
  • Powers vary somewhat in strength based on his willpower
  • Runs on limited power source
  • Cockiness could lead to overconfidence and carelessness
  • The year 2011
  • Does not have Rath

Grand Blazer

Yo. I’m super excited for this episode. Most excited I am for any episode I know for sure is happening this season. More excited for this than anything that came before it. I’d like to say I did a fair bit of helping out with it, despite having not been able to do any research for it. Really hope you guys like it too.

Also, not to pat myself on the back too much, but within all my excitement, I made a trailer for this fight. I think it’s pretty kickass. Gonna plug that here cuz mmmmm sharing things I’m proud of.

Ok bye now. Enjoy the actual predictions.

KirbyKid
I’m a pretty big fan of this fight. It has a lot of themes I feel fit both of these characters, and it really comes out of left field in a good way. A fight featuring a cartoon character? Sign me up!

I feel like this fight is a lot closer than many will let on. Alien X’s durability has been shown to effortlessly take a universal blast without flinching, while you could argue Hal has shown to have issues with opponents on a similar level. Out of any of Ben’s Alien’s, X has been shown to be the most OP without little to no opponents.

That said, Hal has experience with these types of opponents, some capable of the same exact feats as Alien X, and some that have showcased even more spectacular feats. This isn’t to say Ben is a push over, since Hal has run out of power when fighting threats of this degree. However, a factor that comes into play is speed, which Hal has an insane amount of.

Knowing Hal has the speed to take out Alien X before he can react or get a problem solved means he should take it. Unless there’s something we’re missing, I’m sure Hal comes out on top.

(Though Ben winning would also be quality)

PSA: do not buy the Switch version of Mortal Kombat 11. Also, this match is fun. I dig it, but because we got another DC character:

(insert audio of Lex Luthor saying “the Red Capes are coming” on loop)

(Real talk with an honest-to-God, genuine plea: Can we get a minimum 3 episode stretch where none of the combatants are from Marvel and/or DC? 3 is a pretty reasonable number, all things considered.)

On to the verdict - one that I’ve sort of flip-flopped on for quite a while because I needed a refresher. Let it be known that Ben and Hal are a lot stronger than any casual fan would give them credit for, and while I appreciate the uniqueness of the match because of it, the actual layout of the fight isn’t gonna change from it being a one-sided beatdown -- and yes, it is for the guy you expect. I’ll get to that later.

Now, when part of the theme of this episode is having a guy who can create anything fight a guy who can become anything, you’re expecting versatility to play a key role in the debate, and that it does. On the surface, Ben seems to have Hal beat; each of his individual alien forms have clear-cut specializations that allow him to harness different elements and strengths, such as Way Big’s power, XLR8’s speed, Ghostfreak’s intangibility, Heatblast’s pyrokinesis - so on and so forth. Besides, all Hal can do is just create stuff with his ring and batter people around with it, right?

Well, yes… but remember that Hal’s a DC character. Even moreso, he’s an god-tier one, on par if not stronger than guys like Shazam, Wonder Woman and Superman. Hal’s feats and clashes with the likes of Amazo, Parallax (technically himself), etc. should lock him in as being many magnitudes faster and stronger than the majority of the Omnitrix’s aliens combined. Reminder that this is a guy who can fly through entire galaxies in a matter of minutes, fight reality-warping deities that threaten the multiverse on the regular, use black holes without getting ripped apart, time travel, and even one-shot the guy responsible for the crossover with the Avengers.

(Yes, that crossover is considered canon by both Marvel and DC. Yes, Krona punked Galactus. Yes, we’re saying that Hal scales to the guy who beat the shit out of Galactus legitimately.)

That’s not even getting into all of Hal’s advantages. The ring houses a variety of hax to counter any situation he can find himself in, even to a greater degree than any of Ben’s aliens could do with similar power sets. Being able to absorb almost any form of energy, create duplicates, survive mortal wounds - even going so far as to persist as a being of pure willpower and warping the fabric of time and space are all in Hal’s wheelhouse. In fact, Hal has enough options in addition to the stats to end Ben in seconds, but that ain’t fun now, ain’t it?

Ben does have a few options to counter these, but their actual effectiveness on Hal can vary. By far his biggest trump card going into this match is Alien X - aka the one form that can rewrite reality, but this only really serves to just put him on equal footing with Hal, since - again - he’s fought his fair share of reality warpers and won, not to mention the fact that he’d need to argue with Alien X’s other personalities to get anything done. There’s also the fact that possessing the Omnitrix’s Master Code allows him to remain transformed indefinitely whereas Hal’s ring runs on a finite supply of energy. In theory, this would allow Ben to win a battle of attrition and finish Hal off when the battery’s reserves tap out, but in practice… well, look at just how powerful the opposition is.

Feedback could conceivably hack into the Power Ring and mess with it, given that they’re pretty vulnerable to that sort of thing. Issue there is that Hal’s also done the same thing, so nothing’s stopping him from trying to break into the Omnitrix and leave Ben in his normal human form wide open for a finishing blow. Now, these forms are definitely going to kick in since the Omnitrix’ll manage to somehow give him the right transformation needed at the most opportune times, but Hal’s just packing too much power for Ben to handle in any capacity.

So I guess I can summarize everything by saying that the really strong DC superhero wins because DC god tiers gotta DC god tier. Guess that goes to show that the measure of Ben’s might is child’s play against the power of Green Lantern’s light.

(Also, this is one last plea for help -- one that is surely not going to happen because the universe exists just to watch me wretch and suffer until I’m in a fetal position-esque nightmare listening to a mashup of the RE Director’s Cut Mansion Basement and Groose's theme in G Minor on loop but dear Lord: don’t bring Deadpool back for this ep, and even if you do, don’t bring back Takahata to voice him. We know the joke. We made the joke that was obvious the moment Hal got in here. We did the job. This isn’t even meant to be a crack at more Marvel; the Death Battle version of Deadpool stopped being funny the moment he came back to fight a pony who just wanted to make friends and cure cancer.)

Ben doesn’t have anything in his massive grabbag of versatility that’s gonna help him, all his normal aliens get completely run down by Hal’s much better stats. Hal is immune to almost all of his Hax via his insane willpower, and even the Hax Ben has that COULD potentially work like Feedback’s energy draining, are pretty null and void since Hal often times either has that too, and if he doesn’t is still more than fast enough to just kill them before they can do anything. Then There’s Alien X, Alien X is strong, a casual universe level Reality warper, so yes he’s really strong. He’s not Hal strong, infact Hal has regularly beaten Universe level or higher reality warpers time and time again without much issue, and on top of all of that Hal still carries a massive speed Advantage and Far more experience over X, so even Hal beating him is pretty obvious.

RadioactiveCaffeine

Hal takes this easily. Out of the stupidly vast number of aliens Ben owns, only one really has a chance in Hell of beating Hal, and it's not his favorite go to nor is it entirely foolproof since it requires him to make two people get along in real time.

Hal of course comfortably stat stomps almost every alien by being considered one of the most powerful JL members, easily on the level of if not superior to Superman and Diana, who easily make their way up to and past universal in the current Rebirth Canon, which comprises post crisis, pre crisis, and New 52.

The ‘10’ in Ben 10 is about to stand for 10 holes in his body, as Green Lantern takes the victory.

Oh wow, where do I even get started with these two?

Well, first of all, Ben has a large variety of forms. Like, A RIDICULOUS number. At the time of writing this, we’re about a week out from the actual fight, and I don’t even think we’re halfway through all of them. And that’s not counting all the stuff Hal can make just from the Power Ring. Heck, all the info and predictions at the time of writing this means that this document has reached 95 PAGES! We have enough in here to make a novel! And yet, at the end of the day, there’s really only one alien in the Omnitrix that even stands any sort of chance against Hal: Alien X (sorry Rath). Unfortunately, that doesn’t even help Ben out in the slightest. Considering Hal has taken on forces as strong as Alien X before and lived, I think he’s going to be fine.

The only question we can really ask is whether or not Hal has enough juice in the ring to make it through the fight and live. And honestly, I don’t think that’s going to be a problem. Now, granted, Alien X could possibly get the ring off of Hal’s hand, but more often than not, I don’t think Hal’s going to let him. And I don’t think Alien X is going to give Hal so much trouble that the power runs out on the ring.

This fight is a lot like previous fights before it like Doctor Strange vs. Doctor Fate, Raven vs. Twilight Sparkle, the Pokemon Battle Royale, etc. Both could win this fight if given the opportunity to do so. But more times than not, one is going to beat the other, and that one is Hal Jordan. I grew up watching Ben 10 and Ben 10: Alien Force, and I loved both shows, but I don’t see Ben making it through this fight. Green Lantern’s got the will and the way to win this battle...and I am extremely upset that I made a pun. For me, point goes to Hal

So this is an interesting fight. To be honest, this was one of my dream matches as a little kid. Ben 10 was a part of my childhood as was Green Lantern (though I prefer John Stewart over Hal Jordan), so seeing these two made my inner 10-year old (lol) fanboy. I actually did scream “IT’S FINALLY HERO TIME!” when Ben was revealed.

Going through the list of Ben's Aliens, it sounds like he'd have the versatility advantage in the bag, but considering Hal's only limited by his imagination, I'd argue their pretty dead even.

But with everything else… I’m sad to say that Ben is pretty much fucked.

As for why... since I'm crazy, I am going to list every one of his aliens (including their Ultimate forms, for the ones that have it) and explain how they stack up against Hal. Prepare for a very long list as well as 'outmatched in stats' quite often.

Heatblast - A weaker Iron Man/Ghost Rider combo. Can't really do much against Hal, who out stats him.

Diamondhead - While Diamondhead can get creative with his crystal manipulation, Hal can do the same with his ring, and on a much grander scale. Plus he's outmatched in stats too.

Four Arms - He did tank hits from a Celestialsapien, and the extra arms have shown the ability for some creative tricks, but he's also outmatched in stats.

XLR8 - Despite this alien's main gimmick being speed, Hal's much MUCH faster. Hal mostly being an air-based fighter as well as having a HUGE strength advantage also doesn't help.

Wildmutt - His enhanced senses don't really do shit, as Hal's a direct fighter that wouldn't hide. Plus, Hal outstats. Ultimate Wildmutt doesn't change much, though I suppose it suddenly gaining the ability to talk would be surprising and could throw Hal off.

Grey Matter - He may be smarter, but all that tells him is how outclassed he is.

Upgrade - Upgrade could hack Hal's ring if given the chance, but Hal outstats him too.

Ripjaws - The fight ain't gonna be in the water, so he's useless.

Ghostfreak - How does my first favorite alien stack up? His intangibility and possession may give Hal some trouble, but it's nothing that Hal hasn't seen before. His own intangibility counters Ghostfreak, he's fought of stronger influences and he outstats him too.

Stinkfly - He gets swatted. The end. Well, joking aside, his projectiles not being energy based means Hal can't absorb them, but he's outmatched in stats.

Cannonbolt - It's Four Arms and XLR8, but worse. Since he's the middle ground, Hal slaps harder than Four Arms and blitzes harder than XLR8. Ultimate Cannonbolt changes nothing.

Ditto - While the duplication can help Ben stall for time, Hal has the ability to wipe them all out in one go. He doesn’t even need to, because if he kills the original, they all die.

Wildvine - Wildvine is sorta greener. But he dies pretty badly too.

Upchuck - Both forms of Upchuck could eat and reflect Hal’s projectiles, but he’s far too fast.

Blitzwolfer - Sonic screams could throw Hal off, but not by much. He gets stat stomped too.

Buzzshock - Small size makes him a small target, but Hal's far too strong and fast.

Way Big - He has the size advantage, but that just makes him a bigger target. Hal's dealt with plenty of giant monsters. Ultimate Way Big barely changes anything.

Eye Guy - Having eyes on the back of his everything pretty much minimizes Hal’s chance of hiding, but as said with Wildmutt, Hal won’t hide.

Spitter - Same as Stinkfly, except he doesn’t even have the ability to fly.

Arctiguana - Ice abilities can help, but he’s far too slow and gets stomped.

Snare-Oh - As much as I love this guy, he can’t do shit to Hal. None of his attacks can make it through Hal’s defenses, and his ability to become just bandages doesn’t really help.

Frankenstrike - He’s a tough guy, basically Four Arms with lightning, but he gets blitzed and stomped.

Swampfire - While he’s essentially a fusion of Heatblast and Wildvine, the only advantage he has is his regeneration abilities. Ultimate Swampfire essentially gets rid of his only advantage.

Humungosaur - Same thing as Four Arms. The growing thing can surprise Hal though thanks to his size advantage, and Ultimate Humungosaur’s missiles too, but Hal outstats him.

Echo Echo - This one is interesting. Echo Echo essentially combines both Ditto and Blitzwolfer’s abilities, and even gets rid of some of their weaknesses. Ultimate Echo Echo (who is arguably Ben’s most powerful Ultimate Alien, even more so than Ultimate Way Big) has an even better chance. With his sonic disks he could probably disrupt Hal’s concentration and even damage his hearing. But the sad thing is, he gets blitzed and stomped too.

Big Chill - Another combo alien, Big Chill combines Ghostfreak and Arcticguanna. His main method of insta-win would be to go intangible, phase through Hal and freeze him from the inside-out. Ultimate Big Chill is the same. But once again, Hal is too strong and fast.

Goop - He’s greener, and is hard to hurt. But the second Hal destroys the Anti-Gravity Projector, he’s a useless puddle.

Brainstorm - Just like Grey Matter, he’s smart enough to know he’s screwed.

Jetray - A fast flier, but Hal is faster and stronger.

Chromastone - Now we reach the first of Ben’s aliens that have the potential to turn this around completely. Chromastone’s energy absorption abilities are far beyond his normal capabilities, and they could possibly defeat Hal, but once again, Hal’s too strong and fast.

Spider-Monkey - Combination of Four Arms and Stinkfly. Multiple arms could do some tricks, and his webs can’t be absorbed. Ultimate Spider-Monkey is the same. Unfortunately, Hal outstats.

Lodestar - He’s borderline useless. While he can make Hal magnetic, all that’ll do is annoy him. Not to mention him being hilariously outclassed.

Rath - HEY! HEY! LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING RANDOM NERD THAT'S READING THIS G1 DEATH BATTLE FAN BLOG, EVEN RATH KNOWS THIS ISN'T A JOB FOR RATH! YOU WILL LEARN THAT, OR RATH WILL DESTROY YOU!

Nanomech - Similar to Upgrade, he could hack the ring, and with the added fact his small size makes him a difficult target. But Hal outspeeds heavily and hits him once, he dead.

Terraspin - Even if we wank Terraspin’s mana immunities to making him immune to Hal’s constructs, Hal physically outstats Terraspin.

Water Hazard - What will water do to Hal? Nothing.

AmpFibian - Electricity being his only gimmick doesn’t really help.

Armodrillo - His drills aren’t strong enough to break through Hal’s constructs.

NRG - NRG’s true form may be strong, but Hal’s defenses should be able to protect him from the radiation and such.

Fasttrack - See XLR8's section.

ChamAlien - Good for hiding, but not for fighting.

Eatle - Also gets swatted.

Clockwork - The second alien who can really turn the tide. Clockwork’s time abilities can definitely keep him in the game for quite a while. But once Hal gets a clean hit in, he’s through.

Jury Rigg - Techno Satan can’t do shit.

Shocksquatch - He’s a tough guy, and electricity on top of that, but he can’t really do anything.

Feedback - And now, the third alien that has the best chance against Hal, as well as being my personal favorite. Feedback’s energy absorption properties can definitely change the game, but Hal’s simply too fast.

Bloxx - Stepping on Lego may be painful, but Hal probably has defenses to that.

Gravattack - His gravity manipulation abilities can throw Hal off, but he also has a huge obvious weak point and gets stomped and blitzed.

Crashhopper - Also gets swatted.

Ball Weevil - Also gets swatted.

Walkatrout - Dies very, very easily.

Pesky Dust - Dream manipulation abilities could help, but Hal kills before Ben gets a chance.

Mole-Stache - This guy’s pretty useless in a fight against Hal.

The Worst - If Hal still had the yellow weakness, maybe. But he doesn’t.

Kickin Hawk - His physicality gets outmatched by Hal.

Toepick - Maybe his face could cause enough fear? I’m not really sure, as Hal kills before the face happens.

Astrodactyl - See Jetray’s section.

Bullfrag - See Kickin Hawk’s section.

Atomix - How does Ben's 2nd strongest (only by Word of God) alien stack up? He's basically a weaker Goku fighting a Superpowered DC Character. Do the math.

Gutrot - Hal has plenty of defenses against Gutrot’s gases.

Whampire - Hal just uses his lantern and we get this scene again.

Alien X - Now, we come to Ben’s most powerful alien, and how does he stack up? Not that well. While he should be around Universal and Massively FTL+, Hal outdoes those stats. His hax may be powerful, but considering that Hal’s fought the likes of Amazo and Doctor Fate, as well as having resistance to reality warping, it shouldn’t be a real problem. Alien X may be powerful, but it’s nothing that Hal hasn’t seen before.

TLDR: Alien X, Feedback and Chromastone will make it somewhat harder, but Hal should prevail with his superior stats, experience, hax and versatility. Looks like Green Lantern was completely alien to Ben 10. (I’m sorry for how bad this was.)

Also, fun fact: Steve Blum, the voice of Heatblast, Ghostfreak and Vilgax (among others) voiced Hal in Injustice 2.

And one last thing, the whole Omniverse Arc with No Watch Ben was just a combination of Into the Spider-Verse, Infinity War and Endgame (if you still haven't watched it by the time of this blog, something is wrong with you).

Also, have this.

(I think that’s too much extra stuff. Sorry, my inner 10-year old is fanboying.)

Bruce U126
Ohh boy, a Ben 10 fight? While it’s not the fight i may have preferred for Ben 10 at first, i have grown out of it and started to like it. I feel so happy i could sing the whole OG Ben 10 song, it’s not like i haven’t done that many times already since the fight was announced.

IT STARTED WHEN ALIEN DEVICE DID WHAT IT DID
IT STUCK ITSELF UPON HIS WRIST WITH SECRETS THAT IT HID
NOW HE’S GOT SUPERPOWERS HE’S NO ORDINARY KID,
HE’S BEN 10

Jokes aside, as for my prediction, it’s gonna be pretty short, but like many people have said on the blog, Ben 10 fucking dies, which makes me el big sad.
First of all, despite the massive amount of Aliens and versatility Ben has in the watch, 99% of them get flicked away by GL and even things that could turn the tide like Alien X, Feedback or the Omnitrix’s failsafe don’t really help Ben that much, especially when Hal himself is just much much faster than all of the three things i mentioned.

Speaking about X, all it could really do against Hal is close the stat gap or use his powerful hax which might give Hal a hard time, but it’s not like GL hasn’t fought against reality warpers more powerful than Alien X before. I’m not surprised though, we’re talking about a goddamn DC herald here. In the end, Ben’s chances to win were around 10% against the Green Lantern.

Brobuscus

I did not contribute much at all, not even gonna lie. I feel bad.

Alright, everyone else is going on about Ben’s theme, so I’m gonna recite Hal’s catchphrase to spice things up.

In brightest day.
In blackest night.
No evil shall escape his site.
Let those who worship evil’s might...
Beware his power! GREEN LANTERN’S LIGHT!!

Ah that felt good.

Oh hey, it’s that one character that the internet won’t stop claiming is one of the most powerful characters in all of fiction. Today’s just gonna be one of those days, isn’t it?

Anyway, all joking aside, I’m gonna keep this nice and simple since pretty much everyone else has brought up everything you need. Hal wins, and pretty easily at that. All of Ben’s aliens minus MAYBE Alien X don’t stand a chance, hax is pretty barebones for Ben, and the speed gap is INSANE. Hal is so much faster than all of Ben’s aliens, including X. As for X’s reality warping and Universal power, you really think Hal hasn’t encountered that before? He’s dealt with several people who are on X’s level and even beyond that, and usually comes out victorious. And with his supply of constructs possibly being more versatile than Ben’s aliens(I say “possibly” because I don’t know if Hal’s directly shown off more constructs than Ben’s aliens, but what he creates is limited only by imagination), it definitely doesn’t help Ben much at all.

Yeah I said this would be nice and simple. Ben’s not winning this one, methinks.
