Death Battle Predictions: Samus Aran VS Mega Man X

Just so everyone knows, while this is being posted to the G1DBFB account, it isn’t really one of our blogs and wasn’t initially planned to be, as the quick reappearance of X may tell you. Our friend ThatOneMunchlax had this in the works and since most of our members had joined on, we figured it made enough sense to pop it on our account.

That being said, we don’t want this to become a regular thing. So please don’t come to us pitching prediction blogs that we can all do together or something like that to then post to our account. That’s all. Onto the hunters.

Background

I cannot be arsed to type up a background for them so this will be plagiarized stuff, enjoy~

Samus Aran

First Game Appearance: NES Metroid
Origin: Planet K-2L
Age: How the hell should I know?
Height: 6’3 (1.91 m)
Weight: 198 lbs (90kg)
Race: Human (genetically modified with Chozo DNA)
Occupation: Bounty Hunter

"Samus lived with her parents on the planet K-2L, a human colony in the Galactic Federation domain. When Samus was three years old, K-2L was attacked by a band of Space Pirates lead by the brutal ruffian Ridley. When the Space Pirates left and the smoke cleared, a single figure remained standing. It was Samus Aran, the sole survivor of the attack on K2L.

Samus was rescued from the charred ruins of K-2L by the Chozo, a race of beings who resemble giant birds. They had received the colony's distress signal during the attack, and came to assist. The Chozo took Samus back to their homeworld, Zebes.

Being a highly technologically advanced race, the Chozo crafted a power suit for Samus that gave her incredible strength. They trained her to become a fearsome warrior. Once her training was complete, Samus parted ways with the Chozo and became an intergalactic bounty hunter.

Samus carried out countless missions. Many that other bounty hunters deemed impossible. She became the most famed and capable bounty hunter in the universe, yet she was not fulfilled. Samus didn't become a bounty hunter to achieve fortune or fame. Her purpose was to avenge the death of her parents by slaying Ridley and the rest of the Space Pirates.

Before long, the opportunity to fulfill her purpose would arise."

Mega Man X

First Game Appearance: SNES Mega Man X
Origin: Dr. Thomas Light’s Lab
Age: 500+ years
Height: 5’3 (1.6 m)
Weight: 125.7 lbs (57 kg)
Race: Robot Master
Occupation: Maverick Hunter (X) / Neo Arcadia Leader (Zero) / Fusion Fodder (ZX)
“X is a reploid (a kind of sentient robot) and the hero of his series. As a member of the 17th Unit Maverick Hunters, X is tasked with tracking down and putting a stop to Mavericks—malfunctioning robots that pose a threat to humanity.

No one knows for sure who created X or why, but he is dedicated to stopping the evil machinations of Sigma, his former commander who has gone rogue and now leads a rebellion against the human race.
Despite X’s exceptional abilities he is still a B-class (middle-grade) hunter. And although he is viewed by his fellow hunters as a rookie for his tendency to hesitate in the thick of battle, it is actually mercy, not inexperience, that stays his hand.

Even when faced with the most despicable of Mavericks, his urge to deal justice to evildoers clashes with his underlying forgiving nature, keeping him from realizing the true power that lies within him. Only Zero and Sigma have begun to suspect his incredible potential.”

Design

Samus Aran’s Power Suit

A set of battle armor invented by the Chozo specifically for Samus Aran. This suit is connected with Samus on a genetic and mental level which gives her the ability to summon it at, will provided she has enough mental energy to do so, and prevents organic components from being removed without her consent. When worn, it provides Samus augmented strength, a shielding system, and basic life support functions. It can even repair itself in case parts of the suit get damaged or destroyed. Though, the most remarkable feature of the suit is the modular nature the Chozo designed it with, allowing the suit to integrate all types of technology (or radioactive viruses) from various species and organizations into its systems for Samus to use.

X’s Specifications

Head Parts

  • Broad-range Eye Camera: X can see at a far higher "framerate" than that of the human eye.
  • Ultra-sensitive Voice Recognition System: Can hear a far broader spectrum of sounds than the normal human ear can.
  • Voice Generation Device: Made by HAYATOM Inc. X's voice is synthesized from this system.

Body Parts

  • Accumulative Energy Generation Device: Stores solar energy. This primary power supply generates both the necessary energy to fuel all of X's systems, and enough for a secondary supply that can be used in areas where collecting solar energy becomes impossible.
  • Ultra-Compact Fuel Tank: A large quantity of (Micro-Fusion) fuel is stored in an ultra-compact tank, in order for X to be active when in dark places- such as underground or underwater. This becomes his power source if his accumulated solar energy runs out.
  • Central Control System: X's second "brain", which controls the exact movements of his body.

Arm Part

  • X-Buster (Mega Buster Mark 17): X's most powerful weapon. Converts solar energy into a high powered beam. When not in use, the X-buster forms a hand.
  • Energy Amplification Device: Amplifies stored energy to release a more powerful charge shot.
  • Variable Weapon System: Can use weapons or systems copied from other robots or Reploids through some unknown process. In some media, this is shown to be X either copying a Reploid's DNA data or taking a chip from their remains.

Leg Part

  • Full Auto Balancer (Gyroscopic Stabilization System): Can land cleanly in any area, from any kind of state.
  • Emergency Acceleration System: Accelerate in a blink of an eye, can run (dash) at enormous speed. Originally an upgrade available through an armor piece, X seems to have internalized this upgrade to be used at any time.

Armor Part

  • Interior Skeleton: Reactive Super-flexible Armoured Skeleton which reduces 93 percent of damage.
  • Body Skin: Lightweight "Titanium-X" alloy.

Weapons

Samus

Arm Cannon

A cannon...on the arm, designed to be used in conjunction with the Power Suit. By far Samus’s most versatile weapon due to the modular capabilities the Chozo designed it with.

Beams

Various types of energy systems that Samus fires out of her Arm Cannon

Power Beam
The standard shots fired from her Arm Cannon. Her weakest beam but to compensate it has a very fast rate of fire.

Long Beam
An enhancement that greatly boosts the range of Samus’s standard shots, something that remains integrated in her Arm Cannon for many titles to come.

Charge Beam
As the name blatantly states, gives Samus the ability to gather energy in her Arm Cannon and release an amped up beam blast. When the beam is fully charged she can perform a spin jump and create a pseudo Screw Attack. It also possesses a limited tractor beam that can draw in nearby items. The Charge Beam itself also gains some upgrades such as:

  • Diffusion Beam: Causes a Charge Beam to scatter after impact while allows it to hit additional targets.
  • Dense Charge Shot: A variation of the Charge Beam that fires a very powerful but slow moving shot.
  • Melee Charge Shot: A variation of the Charge Beam that fires a short range explosion from the Arm Cannon, not designed for range ofc.
Ice Beam
In the 2D games this is merely a freezing effect added to Samus’s standard shots. But in Metroid Prime the Ice Beam gives Samus the option to fire chunks of ice at a slower speed but with greater power than her standard Power Beam.

Wave Beam
Fires an erratically moving projectile that can pass through obstacles in the 2D titles. In Prime the Wave Beam fires three oscillating blasts of electricity. Charging this will fire a strong electric blast that can stun enemies for a short period of time.

Plasma Beam
Fires an energy beam with enough penetrating power to pierce enemies. In Prime 1 the Plasma Beam fires streams of molten energy that can set enemies ablaze. Out of the four beams in Prime 1 it possesses the greatest power but also the worst range. Charging this beam will cause Samus to fire a sphere of plasma that engulfs enemies in flames.

Dark Beam
Fires blats of shadow energy with slower speed yet greater power than the Power Beam. When charged this beam fires an Entangler blast which envelops enemies with shadow tendrils that inhibit their ability to move or attack. Relies on Dark Ammunition for each shot, more if a the Entangler is used, if Samus runs out she’ll need to charge the beam to fire regular shots.

Light Beam
The anti Dark Beam obviously which fires blasts of pure light. When charged this beam will fire a Lightblast of white-hot energy which will set enemies ablaze as long as they remain in contact with the light. Like the Dark Beam this weapon relies on a limited amount of Light Ammo and can be charged to fire normal shots if she runs out.

Annihilator Beam
A combination of the Light and Dark Beam, this weapon uses both light and dark ammunition to fire matter-antimatter shots. Shots from this weapon will always home in on enemies even without locking on to them. When charged it fires a Disruptor blast, which does not possess any homing capabilities but has a large blast radius capable of stunning foes.

Nova Beam
Fires a high frequency beam that passes through objects made of Phazite in order to hit what lies beneath. Aside from that this weapon retains all the abilities of previous Beam weapons.
Spazer Beam
Makes every shot made fire three projectiles at once.

Wide Beam
Basically Spazer Beam the projectiles are rings in the formation of a wall.

Zero Laser
A massive wide range beam that gradually gains power until it finishes with a powerful burst.

Grapple Beam

An upgrade that allows Samus to send out some kind of energy beam that can attach to objects so she can traverse new areas that she cannot reach normally. Also useful for grabbing enemies and throwing them around like a ragdoll.
  • Grapple Voltage: Gives Samus the ability to take or give energy from enemies or objects. Tied directly to her suit’s own power system.

Missile Launcher

Chozo technology that gives Samus’s Arm Cannon ballistic weapon capability. Unlike he beam attacks though, all of these weapons are limited in quantity, though equipping missile expansions can increase the amount she can carry.

Missile
The standard missile used with Samus’s Missile Launcher. Fast, strong, and locks on to foes so they rarely miss their mark.

  • Relentless Missile: Slower, weaker missiles that possess vastly superior homing ability.
  • Turbo Missile: A weaker missile that takes a moment to lock on to its next victim before flying at them like a kamikaze pilot.
Super Missile
Like a Missile but on steroids.

Ice Missile
An upgrade to Samus’s missiles that give each and every one of the them a freezing effect.

Diffusion Missile
A set of chargeable missiles that greatly augment the Ice Missile’s power and range.

Seeker Missile
Upgrades the firing capability of the Missile Launcher so Samus can shoot five missiles at once.

Sub Weapons

A set of weapons from the the Alimbic Cluster. All of them require Universal Ammo (except the last one) so use one weapon will reduce the uses of the other.
Battlehammer
Powered by a miniature nuclear reactor, this high-caliber weapon lobs green energy projectiles. It cannot be charged but makes up for it with a rapid fire feature.

Judicator
Powered by cold-fusion synthesis, this weapon fires supercooled plasma at temperatures close to absolute zero. If it hits any surface the plasma will ricochet and charging this weapon will make it fire three plasma beams at once.

Volt Driver
Draws energy from the planetary electromagnetic field and converts it to multi-terawatt bursts of high voltage. When charged it fires an electric orb that flies slowly but explodes upon impact and electrocutes anything in range.

Shock Coil
A prototype federation weapon that emits a concentrated beam of high-density neutrinos within a set radius. Pretty weak initially but grows in power if used on someone for a few seconds.

Magmaul
Powered by a hyperstatic hydrogen core, this weapon lobs cohesive projectiles of superheated magma that can bounce off other surfaces. When charged the projectiles become larger and explode upon impact.

Imperialist
Fires a thin and lethal laser with high accuracy over long distances. Has a zoom feature which increases hit probability and power. Requires a few seconds of cooldown after each shot.

Omega Cannon
A weapon of mass destruction that fires slow moving shots with a massive blast radius.

Morph Ball Bombs

Bombs
A set of physical or energy explosives Samus can set in Morph Ball form, or fire from her Arm Cannon in the manga.

  • Slip Bomb: A bomb with less explosive power than standard bombs but can slip grounded opponents and knock airborne foes to the ground.
  • Mega Bomb: Bigger bombs with a bigger fuse and bigger ouch factor.
Power Bomb
Probably Samus’s most destructive weapon. Drops a bomb which soon creates a bigass explsion that vaporizes anything not named Samus within its radius. Limited in quantity unlike her standard bombs, although in Other M Samus can charge her standard bombs and turn them into a Power Bomb.

Paralyzer

A self defense emergency gun that is designed to simply paralyze people. Normally only used when Samus is in her Zero Suit. In Smash Bros its shots are actually capable of damaging opponents on top of having a variety of new features such as:.

  • Blast Shot: A shot feature that trades power and the paralyzing effect for more range and speed.
  • Electromagnetic Net: Reduces the distance the shot travels but creates a paralyzing explosion at its max range.
  • Plasma Whip: Paralyzes foes with an energy whip.
  • Plasma Dash: A dash attack that ignores using what the gun was made for in order to ram the gun into the opponent.
  • Whip Lash: Knocks the opponent toward Samus so they can catch these hands but it requires Samus to hit them with the end of the whip otherwise it will do jack shit.

Jet Boots

A set of jet powered high heels that puts more power into Samus’s melee attacks and boosts her mobility in order to compensate for her weakened strength without Power Suit.

The BABY

A smol Metroid baby that can succ the life out of anyone who threatens its mommy Samus and supply Samus with the very life energy it steals.

X

X Buster

X’s go-to weapon, the X-Buster can shoot compressed solar energy just like Mega Man’s Mega Buster (but better just like everything else about him). It can be charged up to fire a larger, more powerful shot or fire a scatter of shots like a shotgun. In the manga, the buster is capable of drawing energy from external sources...like a machine with enough energy to nuke Japan and even compress the solar energy to snipe people from far away. In Command Mission X can equip a variety of different busters such as:
  • Scope Buster: Possesses higher accuracy and a critical hit rate than the X Buster.
  • Fire, Ice, Thunder Buster: Fires a shot imbued with elemental energy.
  • Gatling Buster: Fires a barrage of shots with less accuracy.
  • Aero Buster: Gives X slightly higher evasion against attacks.
  • Brave Buster: Can break the shielding of opponents.
  • Turbo Buster: Deals more damage if X has more Weapon Energy.

Variable Weapon System

A system built into X’s buster that gives him the ability to copy a robot’s weapon data and use their abilities for himself. Dr. Light also installed an additional feature (when X gets new armor parts) that gives X the ability to charge each special weapon in order to use a different, powerful version of the weapon. Each of his copy weapons rely on a limited supply of Weapon Energy with charged variations requiring more energy to be used. Though with various armors X can increase his shot capacity, decrease energy consumption, and, by Command Mission, naturally regenerate Weapon Energy.

Aside from being an antibody to the Maverick Virus the Mother Elf also displays a variety of other abilities such as amplifying a Reploid’s strength to a point where even Reploids not designed for combat (like Elpissoff) can be formidable threats, repairing damaged parts of a Reploid, and shielding people from attacks (like the explosion that vaporized X’s Guardian’s in Zero 3), and having complete control over any Reploid within her vicinity because that is just what a cure to a wide range virus needs.

Armor & Parts

Samus

Suits

Modifications to Samus’s Power Suit that often give it new abilities and increased defensive strength.

Zero Suit Samus
Samus without her Power Suit, only used when she is not capable of using her Power Suit and thus shouldn’t even be a factor but I’m listing it anyway because I want to. While her athletic ability is still very efficient cause of birb DNA, she is suuuuuper weak since she does not have the augmented strength or defensive shielding of her suit anymore. Unless she’s in Smash in which case losing a suit that is supposed to augment her physical attributes actually makes her better for some reason.

Varia Suit
An upgrade to the Power Suit that reduces damage received by half, prevents damage from acid, and provides protection to extreme heat and sub zero temperatures.

Gravity Suit
An upgrade that further reduces damage received and allows Samus to move around without restriction from gravity or other external environments like underwater.

Phazon Suit
A viral corruption to Samus’s Power Suit that actually increased the strength and shielding of Samus’s suit (what luck all that Phazon didn’t kill her like it does any other time). It provides Samus some resistance against the radioactive Phazon and gives her the ability to fire Phazon if she is near concentrated pools of it.
Phazon itself is a living radioactive substance with extreme mutagenic properties. Exposure to Phazon often begins to affect the brain of the individual, increasing their aggression and causing more erratic behavior. Continued exposure eventually has an effect on other systems of the organism such as loss of equilibrium, erratic respiration, muscle spasms, hallucinations, and eventually, death.

Dark Suit
An upgrade both reduces damage taken from attacks and Dark Aether’s atmosphere.

Light Suit
A fusion of Luminoth and Chozo battle suit technology. This suit is fully immune to the effects of Dark Aether’s atmosphere and can access the Luminoth Energy System for transportation.

PED Suit
A suit equipped with a Phazon Enhancement Device created by the Galactic Federation. This device allows Samus to harness the power of highly radioactive Phazon to enhance the exoskeleton and weapon system of her armor. It also is installed with a Hazard Shield which further supports Samus’s defensive shielding and grants resistance to toxic materials.

Fusion Suit
A result of Samus getting infected by an X parasite and requiring infected parts of the Power Suit to be surgically removed. Due to this Samus’s battle strength is about 10% of what it normally is. Though throughout the game she is given data that her old suit possessed in order to restore some of her strength. One other upside (though not related to the suit itself) is Samus gaining the Metroid’s ability to absorb X parasites via the vaccine created from THE BABY.

Visors

Samus’s window to the world outside her suit. Each visor possesses a different effect which allows Samus to view and interact with the world around her in different ways.
  • Combat Visor: Samus’s default visor which shows general information she needs for combat.
  • Scan Visor: Used to collect data on objects and enemies within view. This visor is not compatible with weaponry and use of the Arm Cannon will switch to the Combat Visor.
  • Thermal Visor: Allows Samus to see the infrared spectrum in order to find enemy weak points and see in darkness / poor weather conditions.
  • X-Ray Visor: Allows Samus to see through certain materials, reveal invisible objects or enemies, and discern illusions.
  • Dark Visor: Gives Samus the ability to see through Dark Aether’s haze and interdimensional objects.
  • Echo Visor: An echolocation visor that visualizes what Samus can hear in order to see the invisible….somehow.
  • Command Visor: A visor that allows Samus to input commands to her Gunship.

Morph Ball

Changes Samus into a compact mobile sphere that can easily move around in small areas.
  • Spring Ball: Gives the Morph Ball a jumping feature.
  • Boost Ball: A feature that temporarily boosts the speed of the Morph Ball.
  • Spider Ball: Allows the Morph Ball to cling to walls and magnetic surfaces. Can be used in conjunction with Power Bombs to send Samus flying like a cannonball.

Power Grip

Gives Samus the gripping strength to hang onto ledges.

Speed Booster

Allows Samus to dash at supersonic speeds and crash through any barrier or enemy that stands in her path.

High Jump

Take a guess.

Space Jump

Allows Samus to continuously jump in the air.

Screw Attack

Makes Samus’s spinning jumps emit a powerful energy that can damage enemies on impact.

X

Armors

Various sets of armor design by Dr. Light to assist X when Sigma or any bitch under his control causes some mayham for the upteenth time.
Armor of Light
Head: Can break certain blocks if X jumps into them and protects his head from falling debris.
Body: Reduces damage received by half.
Arm: Allows X to charge his buster to a third stage which makes him fire a Spiral Charged Shot and gives him the ability to charge Special Weapons in order to give them a different effect.
Legs: Gives X the ability to dash on the ground and when wall climbing.

Second Armor
Head: Emits a tracer that reveals concealed passages and items.
Body: Reduces damage received and converts damage taken into energy to use for the Giga Attack ability.
Arm: Allows X to fire a Double Charge Shot.
Legs: Allows X to perform an Air Dash.
Full Set: Reduces consumption of Weapon Energy by half.

Clear Armor
Armor created through by an organic parasitic organism called Limited. It greatly empowers and evolves X to the situation present but dangerous to use as the parasite will attempt to take over X’s body.
Clear Buster: Gives X access to any special weapon he had in the past even without having the chip installed in his system.
High Clear Buster: Increases the power of the buster by drawing on X’s own life energy.
Clear Armor: Allows X to absorb attacks and repair damage to his body.

Third Armor
Head: Gives X an map of the location he is at alongside all the items hidden within it.
Head Chip: Regenerates health if X remains stationary.
Body: Reduces damage by half and also creates an energy barrier to protect X from subsequent attacks.
Body Chip: Increases the power of the barrier to further cut damage.
Arm: X can charge up to four levels. When at the fourth level X can use the Cross Charge Shot which combines the power of two Charge Shots.
Arm Chip: Gives X access to the hyper charge which enables X to fire charge shots as long as he has Weapon Energy.
Legs: Allows X to use the Variable Air Dash which allows him to dash forward or upward for an effective double jump.
Foot Chip: X can use the Variable Air Dash twice.
Hyper Chip: Normally X cannot equip the four upgrade chips at once, but if he does not obtain any, he gains the Hyper Chip which gives his armor a golden color and all the abilities of the chips.

Giga Armor
Giga Buster: A buster with the combined power of X and Zero’s busters.
Neo Armor: Gives X’s buster the ability to fire a solid-light projectile called the Energy Shot.
Giga Sabre: An sabre stolen from Tackione and enhanced by X’s new armor. So powerful each swing can part the air itself.

All X Armor
Armor created from Return X fusing with X. While powerful if Return X exhausts too much power the armor vanishes.
X Buster: Enhances X’s buster to the point where its abilities surpass that of the Clear High Buster.
Double Buster: Allows X to use both arms to fire solar energy. While powerful it exhausts X very easily.
Regeneration: Return X possesses the ability to regeneration from his core (gee where has this been seen before) if he ever gets destroyed.

Fourth Armor
Head: Increases X’s special weapon capacity and allows him to fire endless uncharged special weapons.
Body: Same as X2’s.
Arm: Gives X the ability to store four charge shots and upgrades his charged shots to leave behind orbs of plasma to further damage opponents.
Legs: Gives X the ability to Air Dash and hover for a limited time.

Falcon Armor

Head: Increases shot capacity for all special weapons by 50%.
Body: Same as above armor.
Arm: Gives X a new charge shot that can pierce terrain and shields but doesn’t give him the ability to charge special weapons.
Legs: Gives X the ability to fly for a short period of time. In X6 it lost this function and instead does a damaging air dash.

Gaea Armor
Head: No known effect lol
Body: Same as above armor.
Arm: Reduces the amount of charge levels X’s buster has. By the second level X fires a Gaea Shot which has limited range but great power. X also loses the ability to use Special Weapons.
Legs: Allows X to walk on spikes without taking damage and cling to walls without slipping. Although X’s movement speed is reduced and he loses the ability to air dash.

Blade Armor
Head: Decreases consumption of weapon energy by 33% and increases shot capacity by 50%.
Body: Same as above armor.
Arm: Allows X to fire a smaller Plasma Shot which does what it does in X4 only worse. It also gives X the ability to perform a Charged Saber technique that has more range and power than his standard Z-Saber attacks.
Legs: Allows X to perform the Mach Dash which is a chargeable air dash that can be performed in any direction.

Shadow Armor
Head: Allows X to swing the Z-Saber at a much faster speed.
Body: Same as the rest.
Arm: X’s buster shots are now shurikens and the charged shot is replaced with a powerful crescent slash called Enzukirin. Like Gaea Armor X loses the ability to use Special Weapons from this.
Legs: Allows X to stick to walls, walk on spikes, and cling to ceilings.

Glide Armor
Head: X can absorb Life and Weapon Energy from a farther distance.
Body: Gives X….the same stuff as before.
Arm: Adds three homing shots to X’s charge shot.
Legs: Gives X the ability to glide in the air.

Neutral Armor
With the Neutral Armor X can mix and match any of these parts to as he sees fit. Though if four parts of the same set are combined, X can use a Giga Attack of that armor.
Icarus Armor Parts
  • Head: X creates a forcefield while jumping in order to damage enemies around him.
  • Body: Reduces damage and negates recoil
  • Arm: All of X’s charges are upgrades one level, with his full power charge shot firing a laser that can strike through multiple foes at once.
  • Legs: Doubles X’s jump height.

Items & Vehicles

Samus

Reserve Tanks

  • Energy Reserve Tank: An emergency energy source that automatically supplies Samus with energy if her Power Suit ever runs out of energy. In Super Metroid Samus can carry up to four of these tanks.
  • Aeion Reserve Tank: A tank that automatically restores Samus’s Aeion reserves if she runs out. Samus carries one of these in Samus Returns.
  • Missile Reserve Tank: A tank that either supplies Samus with 50 missiles or 10 super missiles if she runs out of either. Samus also carries just one of these in Samus Returns.

Gunship

A Hunter Class shipped register to Samus Aran. Equipped with twin Power Beam turrets and a rear mounted Plasma Cannon so it has enough firepower to survive fights against bigger and more numerous foes. The versatile cockpit contains mobile energy recharge systems, microfactories, and an advanced medical bay so Samus can quickly and efficiently recharge and restock her supplies. On top of that it contains a Chozo Biotech Computer which can interface with Samus’s with her Command Visor.

X

Items

  • Sub Tank: An item that stores collected Life Energy to be used at a later time. Compared to E Tanks, they require X to collect life energy (or by Command Mission, get their energy refilled at a healing station) before they can be used, but they can be used an indefinite amount of times. By Command Mission, X can carry up to 12 Sub Tanks and can use specific percentages of a life tank to restore his health instead of using the entire container
  • Weapon Sub Tank: Like a Sub Tank, but stores Weapon Energy to be used at a later time. X only carries one.
  • Life Tank: Like a Sub Tank in that it can store life energy to be used at a later time. It can also receive upgrades to double its carrying capacity. X carries two in X8.
  • Weapon Tank: Works exactly like a Life Tank, but with Weapon Energy, and can be upgraded to double its carrying capacity. X only carries one in X8.
  • Prickle Barrier: Protects against spikes, but only once.
  • Spare Energy: Restores a bit of life energy if X runs out, does not protect against instant kills, however.
  • Gain Hyper: Restores the amount of turns X can remain in Hyper Mode to the maximum.
  • Boost Power / Armor / Shield / Speed: Items that enhance a specific stat by 25% for the duration of battle.
  • Unlock Limiter: Increases all of X’s stats by 150% for 3 turns.
  • Mega Fire / Blizzard / Thunder: Items that attack a single enemy with fire, ice, or electricity.
  • Ultra Fire / Blizzard / Thunder: Items that attack all enemies with fire, ice, or electricity. Twice as powerful as the Mega versions.
  • Liquid Suffocation: Freezes an enemy solid.
  • Chaff: Blinds an enemy.
  • Hacking: Makes an enemy go berserk and concentrate attacks on one unit.

Ride Armor

A mecha X can pilot if he is too lazy to kill things himself.
  • Ride Armor: A standard mech that can dash, jump, and punch really fucking hard.
  • Rabbit Ride Armor: An enhanced model of the original ride armor with spiked fists, the fists can be charged which causes them to spin around for increased damage.
  • Chimera Armor: Similar to standard ride armor but can be equipped with three other modules which are:
    • Frog Armor: Gives the Chimera Armor vastly superior underwater capability and homing torpedoes. Not meant to be used on land.
    • Hawk Armor: Gives the Chimera Armor flight capabilities and a missile launcher.
    • Kangaroo Armor: Meant for ground combat, like the Rabbit Ride Armor it has spikes on its fists but these ones are latched onto a chain and can get launched.
  • Eagle Ride Armor: Upgraded model of the Hawk Armor as it can hover infinitely and can fire large masses of plasma to attack.
  • Raiden Ride Armor: Mining ride armor that can survive in lava. It attacks with an energy lance.
  • Raiden II: An upgraded model of the Raiden Ride Armor with four legs and a drill arm.
  • Gouden Armor: Ride Armor with multiple ballistic weapons.
  • Cyclops Armor: Blue ride armor that has piston punches, an electromagnetic gun designed to paralyze opponents, and minor hovering.
  • Golem Armor: A melee oriented Ride Armor with a drill on one arm and a claw on the other.

Ride Chaser

A hover cycle that allows X to traverse areas at a much faster speed or heights that he wouldn’t normally be able to traverse. Equipped with a frontal cannon to blast opponents in the way and a turbo boost to run them over like roadkill.

Powers & Techniques

Samus

Charge Combos

Allows Samus to use the Missile Launcher and Arm Cannon in conjunction with the end result being much stronger than either weapon on its own.
  • Super Missile: Shoots 5 missiles simultaneously. Kinda like Seeker Missile but this acts like just one missile instead of a barrage of separate missiles.
  • Wavebuster: Fires a beam of electricity that electrocutes enemies continuously. Requires 10 missiles to be used then 5 for every second afterward.
  • Ice Spreader: Fires a shot that can freeze targets in a wide area, not meant to be used on aerial enemies. Requires 10 missiles to be used.
  • Flamethrower: Spews streams of flame, or some kind of kind vortex of fire. Requires 10 missies to be used then 5 for every second afterward.
  • Darkburst: Fires a slow moving blast that opens a dimensional rift which pulls enemies into oblivion. Requires 5 missiles and 30 Dark Ammo.
  • Sunburst: Fires a slow moving blast that explodes into a huge a blast of pure light that incinerates everything nearby. Requires 5 missiles and 30 Light Ammo.
  • Sonic Boom: Projects a wave of sonic force that for some fucking reason is capable of distorting space-time itself.

Concentration

Focuses power in Samus’s Arm Cannon to restore some energy and missiles.

CounterAttack / Melee Counter

A defensive technique where Samus bitch slaps the enemy with her Arm Cannon to block incoming attacks and projectiles.

Crystal Flash

A last resort healing technique where Samus creates a cocoon of energy and absorbs the power of a Power Bomb into her body in order to completely heal herself. Requires her to have at least 10 missiles, 10 super missiles, and 11 power bombs available.

Five Bomb Drop

When Samus is charging her Arm Cannon, she can enter her Morph Ball form to store the charged energy. When she releases it, five bombs are simultaneously flung out, with a higher charge increasing the range they fly.

Flip Jump

An acrobatic maneuver where Samus flips into the air to evade attacks and buries whomever she lands on. She can also alternatively perform a powerful kick to launch enemies away.

Lethal Strike

Fires a point-blank charged shot at a fallen foe’s vulnerable spot to put them out of their misery.

Overblast

A move where Samus jumps on to her opponent and blasts them with a point-blank Charge Beam.

Sense Move

A form of precognition where Samus senses and evades an enemy’s attack with her suit’s thrusters.

Shinespark

A technique where Samus uses the power of the Speed Booster to greatly enhance her jumping capability and fly around almost like a missile or DBZ character. Can also be used in conjunction with her Morph Ball as a Ballspark.

Special Charge Beam Attacks

Another type of Charge Combos but used in conjunction with Power Bombs instead of the Missile Launcher:
  • Ice Beam: Surrounds Samus with four icicles that freeze enemies on contact. If they do not make contact the icicles fan out after a certain period of time.
  • Wave Beam: Four wave bolts cross erratically around Samus.
  • Spazer Beam: Two Spazer bolts will circle around Samus before heading into the air while a rain of sparks descend.
  • Plasma Beam: Four ring shaped plasma bolts circle around Samus before they spread out, contract, and shoot off.

Hypermode

By using the PED Samus sacrifices some energy in order to enhance her Power Suit with the power of Phazon, greatly bolstering her attack power and gaining invulnerability. However, extended use of Hypermode will begin to corrupt Samus unless she vents out excess Phazon.
  • Hyper Beam: Fires bursts of Phazon energy.
  • Hyper Ball: Enhances the Morph Ball with Phazon which causes it to “electrocute” nearby objects with Phazon.
  • Hyper Grapple: Enhances the Grapple Beam with Phazon energy which gives Samus the option to overload foes with Phazon.
  • Hyper Missile: Fires Phazon enhanced missiles.

Aeion

Special energy emitted from SR388 that Samus can store and utilize to enhance aspects of her suit and provide new abilities.

  • Scan Pulse: Uses Aeion energy to scan the surrounding area to reveal map information or hidden areas.
  • Lightning Armor: Surrounds Samus’s armor with an electrical barrier which negates any damage Samus would receive while also greatly enhancing the range of her Melee Counter.
  • Beam Burst: Enhances the Arm Cannon’s power output and gives it a rapid fire ability.
  • Phase Drift: Slows down time for everyone except Samus.

X

Teleportation

A feature that allows X to convert himself into a beam and transport himself to various locations or escape battle.

Giga Attack

A technique given to each of X’s body armor starting at X2. They are typically powerful, wide ranged attacks that often require X to accumulate damage before he can use them. The effect of every Giga Attack varies depending on the type of armor X is currently equipped with.
  • Second Armor: Creates a massive explosion around X.
  • Giga Armor: Creates an explosion so powerful it completely destroys X’s Giga Armor.
  • Fourth Armor / Ultimate: Performs a technique known as Nove Strike, which is a fast flying air dash that decimates anything X runs into.
  • Gaea Armor: Fires a large energy blast like a Hadoken, but remains next to X until it vanishes.
  • Falcon Armor: Unleashes a wave of Spear Charged Shots all around X.
  • Blade Armor: Release an amped up HADANGEKI from the Z-Saber.
  • Shadow Armor: A double Enzukirin attack that surrounds him for a few seconds.
  • Glide Armor: Summons a barrage of lightning blasts around X.
  • Icarus Armor: Creates an energy barrier around X that fires out lasers in all directions.
  • Hermes Armor: Surrounds X in a blue aura that boosts the capabilities of his armor.

Hadoken

Cause Dr. Light is a fighting game fanboy he figured why not give X some of Ryu’s moves? So X can fire some Hadokens like Ryu can.

Shoryuken

Another Street Fighter technique where X does a strong uppercut which can one shot most opponents.

Zero Scramble Programs

A set of programs created by Dr. Light (somehow) that give X the ability to summon his best friend Zero to perform one of his techniques on an enemy.
  • Zero Dash: Summons Zero to dash forward and slice anyone in front of him to pieces.
  • Zero Rising: Summons Zero to attack enemies above with a rising slash.
  • Earth Gaizer: Summons Zero to perform his signature ground punch which causes explosions to appear all around him.
  • Zero Final: Summons Zero to perform a combination of Dash and Rising. Easily the strongest program of the four.

Regeneration

As the image shows, X can restore his body even after it has been completely vaporized.

Hyper Mode

Unlike all his other armors, X-Fire and his Ultimate Armor in Command Mission are activated with Hyper Mode, which is basically a temporary power up. So X can only use these armors for a short period of time (or ridiculously long period of time if you give him some upgrades) before they enter a cooldown period where they require an item to restore their usage.

Summary

Samus

We are all bound by our experiences. They are the limits of our consciousness. But in the end, the human soul will ever reach for the truth... This is what Adam taught me.
Advantages
  • Speed and agility is possibly one of the few things that can be in favor of Samus
  • Weapons have better range
  • More skilled fighter in CQC
  • Does not have restrictions to access her AoE weapons like X does (charging weapons / taking damage)
  • The Baby could probably succ X’s energy and give it to Samus
  • Can bypass defense with antimatter, BFR with Darkburst, and possibly cause corruption with Phazon
  • Resistant to gravity abilities and toxic substances
  • Her ship is cooler and has more uses than X’s mechs and cycles
  • Samazon Aran
Disadvantages
  • Loses in strength and durability
  • Literally screwed beyond belief if she ever becomes Zero Suit
  • Does not have the centuries of fighting that X has
  • Her gear with limited usage tend to draw from the same ammo supply (missile, UA Ammo, Light and Dark Ammo)
  • Overuse of Phazon will terminally corrupt Samus

X

I can face any enemy now... I will feel this way... as long as I have this Saber... I'll do it today, Zero... with you...! Forever...We'll be together...Zero…
Advantages
  • Superior in strength and durability
  • Faster with the Mother Elf
  • Has lived and fought battles for over two centuries
  • More diverse set of weapons and AoE abilities
  • More diverse and useful sets of armor
  • Ultimate Armor removes what is effectively X’s flaw
  • Can stop time, turn intangible, transmute stuff to crystals, freeze opponents to absolute zero, and inflict various status ailments
  • More numerous healing options
  • Regeneration makes it really hard to kill him
  • Resistant to time hax and will absorb fire, ice, and electric elemental attacks
  • Mother Elf in general
Disadvantages
  • Arguably slower without the Mother Elf
  • Without Ultimate Armor most of his gear rely on a limited supply of energy
  • Most Giga Attacks require X to stockpile damage to be used
  • Unknown if X’s virus resistance or Mother Elf can provide defense against the Phazon virus
  • The Limited evolving X often leaves him paralyzed until completed and risks it taking over his body
  • Mega Manlet X

Verdicts

Munchie

Unless Adam authorizes Samus to do anything (which he can’t because he’s dead) I don’t see how she stands a chance.

The Black Shulk

Imma keep it brief and simple

Samus has no future because MP4 is a fucking myth

X has X9 undoubtedly in the future

Oh and X has better stats and what not but that’s fluff

Heroic Defender

Two of my favorite video game characters from Nintendo and Capcom respectively going at it. The concept of the match itself is enough to get me excited, but unfortunately for Samus however, X almost massively outclasses her in the stat trinity.

With her best strength and durability feats, Samus is Small Star Level at most while with X’s very best feats of strength and resilience, he is at Solar System Level-Multi-Solar System Level so literally any physical blows that she throws at him, it would only tickle at most. But if X ever throws out a punch and ends up hitting her, she’d be instantly dead--- there is a pretty large gap of their DC and Durability. Speed is possibly the only category you could possibly argue where they are close in or the category that Samus can take from X.

Now when it comes to their armor, weapons and abilities, they would cancel each other out especially due to the fact that Samus and X can resist almost majority of each other’s haxes. I would wager however that X’s armor and weapons provide him much more flexibility and versatility in battle more or so then anything that Samus is packing with her.

One of the debatable questions is if Mother Elf is enough to allow X to resist Samus’s Phazon and Antimatter Weapons, you could certainly make a good case that they would. And if you believe so that it will allow him to resist her Phazon attacks, than that only further limits Samus’s options from being able to actually kill X.

Also while Samus is experienced with fighting many variety of aliens and intergalactic threats for over a decade in her career. X has been alive for over 100+ years and does nearly the exact same thing that Samus has done only much longer thus realistically would possess vastly more combat experience than the former.

So overall, I place my votes on The Maverick Hunter, Mega Man X because of his overall superior stats, ability to resist most of Samus’s best haxes, versatility and experience. I tried really hard to give my girl, Samus the benefit of a doubt, but there was truthfully not much she has that could really help turn the tides in her favor.

It looks like X will be having a sip of Metroid slurpees in the afternoon, once he’s done with Samus.           .

Grand Blazer

So despite placements in the blog, I’m the last person writing this out, so I’m just gonna not read the others’ verdicts and hope that I sound original enough.

It’s been a while since I looked into this matchup, and even with X’s recent appearance in the royale helping me brush up on him, I’m still rusty on my Samus knowledge, so here it gooooeeees.

X should win. X has a ton more experience having been active for centuries, and a wider variety of weapons at his disposal. Even without the weird and highly debated Lumine stuff, he should still have the strength and speed advantage over Samus, and his healing factor will help him stay in the game a lot longer too. And Samus’ Power Suit is prone to taking damage and falling off last I had heard, and once that things out of the picture, it’s totally curtains. The odds the she can take out someone faster with the strength and speed advantage, a lot more weapons, and a healing factor before the being reduced to Zero Suit is pretty slim.

Uuuhhh something something looks like Samus is gonna be X-ecuted. Yeah that works.

Strunton

With all things considered, I think X has this in the bag. While Samus has been fighting foes all her life, so has X, and his hundreds of years of combat experience easily gives him the edge. At best, X has Samus matched in terms of speed and greatly outclasses her in damage dealt. But even if you weren’t to get behind Mega Man’s black hole feats or Lumine’s sun bust (don’t @ me), X, at worst, would have Samus matched in all physical areas.

But even if our combatants were evenly matched in terms of physicality, I think we can all agree X would still win at the end of the day.

X’s ability to regenerate from just his metal core alone makes it REALLY difficult for Samus to put him down for good. Even with Antimatter, unless she specifically aims for the core, which I doubt she will do, Samus hitting X with something that would keep him down for good seems pretty unlikely. It doesn’t help that a lot of Samus’ elemental abilities are something X can absorb.

Even Samus’s new ability to slow down time with Phase Drift is moot, as X has shown that he is resistant to time stops and can freeze time in its entirety, something Samus has no counter to. What is probably X’s biggest issue in this fight is whether or not he can resist Samus’ Phazon corruption, but I feel he probably can, given he’s resisted infection from the Sigma Virus (which can infect organic lifeforms similar to Phazon) and the Mother Elf.

But what is probably Samus’ biggest downfall in this fight is Samus herself. While Samus’ armors are powerful, they’re not indestructible, and given X’s more versatile arsenal, regenerative abilities, time stops, elemental absorption, and Ultimate Armor’s unlimited ammunition, there’s no doubt that Samus’ armor is falling apart sooner or later. And without the Power Suit, well if you thought they were even in stats before, well not anymore, because the endurance and power advantage just got pushed in X’s favor, and it’s in spades.

Ultimately, the difference between X and Samus is abundantly clear. While Metroid’s prime bounty hunter (Hehehe. See what I did there?) is no slouch and won’t go down without a fight, X’s greater power, versatility, Ultimate Armor, and regenerative ability earns him a hard fought victory.

[Insert funny “I guess Mega Man just X’d out Samus’ options” joke here]

The winner is Mega Man X. Now watch him dab on Samus.

Malcolm Belmont

Hey,Malcolm Belmont here - before i start with my opinions regarding X vs Samus. I got to say, thanks to Munch for allowing me the opportunity to talk about this match.

Anyway lets gets to this fight.

In terms of destructive capability - Samus best feat was with - Animus power - begin able to destroy black holes that were going to consume the universe with white holes. For those that do not know about black  holes - they are able to very easily destroy stars. The fact that black holes are capable of destroying Stars should easily put Samus at Star Level at most - and due to the fact these black holes were going to consume the universe should put Samus higher but there is a problem...Samus doesn't  have this level of power on her own. Merely havin be given tis power by Animus so it's extremely non standard. So if we can not use this feat for Destructive Capability - what feat should be known - well we know that she can destroy Tallon Metroids who survived a Planet Level Destructive Capability Feat. Considering that Samus destroyed them - it should put her destructive capability at least at Planet Level.. But we can go slightly further than that. Samus defeated Dark Samus who can survive the destruction of Dark Aether, which was converted to energy. This feat puts both of them at Small Star Level.

So i have determined destructive capability for samus so what about X? Well X is able to generate black holes with output dwarfing supernovas, This feat should put X at Solar System Level but there is also another feat that backs this up so it's not an outlier. X faced Lumine who collapsed a pocket dimension that included a sun. This is also a Solar System Feat. As you can see - X definitely has the win when it comes to Destructive Capability (Solar System Level is superior to star). But what about speed?

Surprisingly in terms of speed they are suprinsly equal. In terms of Samus's best feat. Samus can react to Ridley who can outpace her intergalactic ship. Her ship has been shown to be MFTL so Samus should scale to Ridley who is MFTL. Pretty self explanatory. Anyway what about X? Well we know that X is superior to Classic Mega Man - who has been shown outrunning Quick Man's beams of light as well as  escaped from Galaxy Man black holes which would put Xs speed at FTL. So yea in terms of speed while it is close - Samus does have the superior speed but its close.

So what about durability - well Samus scales to Dark Samus and tank attacks on the level of Dark Samus' durability which thanks to the destruction of Dark Aether we know should at least be Small Star Level. This puts Samus at Small Star Level in terms of durability. As for X - he has tanked attacks from Lumine who performed that Solar System Level feat which means that X has Solar System Levels Durability. As you can see - like with destructive capability - X has the clear win.

Radioactive Caffeine

I hate to admit it, but this is just not Sammy's fight. She's lacking in any stat department except maybe speed, for one, so she already is having to rely on her abilities, which mostly are rudimentary variations of one another as opposed to a vast array of wildly different things.

Compared to X, this is poor. He has a metric fuckton of abilities of various kinds of weapons. Though some definitely share a good amount of similarities, it still carries far more variance than Samus.

Samus has a lot of elemental based abilities that, lo and behold, X can absorb, and on top of that, Samus’ recent time slowing gets completely negated by X's resistance to it.

Her best bet is hoping that she can corrupt him with Phazon or using antimatter really. The speed difference already makes this hard, but Mother Elf possibly making a case for X resisting the former (though it's somewhat unlikely) only makes it near impossible of a win for her.

So basically, something something X gets to go back to his boyfriend Zero while Samus sees Adam and her parents in heaven.

ramonzer0

Really not much to say here that hasn’t been said yet, but yes -- my boy X has a big ol’ W waiting for him if this actually happened.

It’s pretty much the standard “anything you can do, I can do better” scenario: even if you assume that somehow their stats are equalized, X’s arsenal tops Samus in every respect; he’s packing more heat, they’re all much more varied than Samus’ own, and whatever hax she can bust out is trumped by his. That’s even assuming you want to equalize them in the first place, since the stats fight heavily favors X as well. Ms. Aran could tie him up with speed and even surpass him because of better FTL feats to her name, but she isn’t putting down enough power to outmuscle or survive anything X could throw at her. Oh, and robo-boy’s been active for like a hundred plus more years, so goodbye to experience then.

If it weren’t already clear from the vast amount of tech, hax, and abilities from both of these two, this matchup on the surface looks a lot closer than it actually it is.

Except it isn’t.

X has so much in his arsenal, which, thankfully to the mother elf he has the ability to mess with Samus’ technology. His feats put him far above Samus without her suit on, but with it, she’ll eventually be taxed because of the power and abilities X holds that should stop Samus in her tracks.

Sadly Samus is gonna get mave-kicked to the curb.

(I know I tried too hard on that but it still works)

ThankSwalot

My main can’t catch a break. Low to mid tier for life and now Munch decides to put her against X. This is a case of one character having the “everything” advantage so I’m just gonna be brief on this. X is stronger, faster, tougher, and more experienced than Sammy. If that wasn’t bad enough for Iron Woman, she also gets outhaxed and has a much, much smaller arsenal is comparison to the good boi. Notable hax for him includes better time manipulation with resistance to Sammy’s own, regeneration, and hacking via the Mother Elf. While Samus isn’t a machine so the Mother Elf wouldn’t affect her body directly, it would shut down her Power Suit, which still screws her over. Zero Suit isn’t gonna do much, especially with her stats and arsenal being reduced immensely.

The 24th letter of the alphabet should get this win without too much difficulty. Good thing I switched to Dark Samus in Ultimate.

Hey look it’s a cameo from that one Death Battle RT member.

Anyway tbh I actually haven't been the most observant while this blog has been put together, but I know a decent amount about Samus and X, so I’ll give some short thoughts on the matter.

X’s arsenal is much larger than Samus’s by pretty large order of magnitude, and said arsenal covers a larger degree of elemental variants and hax than Samus’s does(time stop in particular is a borderline instant win). He has much better healing amenities than Samus as well, better armors/equipment to protect him against various elemental attacks and frankly has a pretty broken healing factor. His ultimate armor also gives him unlimited ammo, so his arsenal is pretty much guaranteed to outlast Samus’s. That last point is pretty important given Samus’s selection of “actually useful weapons for this fight” tend to run on ammunition.

The mother elf should also …….technically  be able to end the match on its own, since the Power suit doesn’t really a lot of notable feats in terms of hacking resistance(that I’m aware of anyway). Heck technically it’s been corrupted or forcibly altered several times before, so I don’t see why it wouldn’t be a possibility here(like damage or corruption to the suite is literally used to handwave her losing most of her abilities in some game, particularly the prime game openings).

I’ll also admit some slight skepticism towards phazon or the baby metroid being able to harm X in a similar fashion to some other opponents, given we’ve  primarily seen them used on organic beings(or at least those with significant organic components)..

I suppose you could technically argue alot about stats depending on what you believe for both characters. But I’m pretty sure at worst both characters would at least be considered planet level and FTL by the majority of vs debaters, and honestly any amount of levity probably favors X. Heck a decent amount of feats in here for Samus are from the Joey manga, which I’ve known people to have issues with before. At best I could potentially see Samus taking speed, but It doesn’t really matter much with X’s time stop in play.

Oh and X technically is much more experienced. He’s lived hundreds of years of constantly fighting and even afterwards basically became armor digivolving fodder for the hero of the X/Zero Sequel series ZX.

So in conclusion Samus clearly wins. Fuck X and his husbando Zero. Samus is best Waifu and scales to Shulk, Ness, Simon Belmont cause smash brothers. Fight should have been against god destroyer multiversal ++++++plus chad Megaman Volnutt.

X probably wins.

There’s no gentle way of putting it, but this isn’t a fair fight at all.  X is laughably above Samus in virtually every way

Firepower?  He’s got better strength and DC via scaling (and some of his own feats) that’s several orders of magnitude higher than anything Samus scales to or has done herself

Speed?  Sure Samus can scale to higher speed feats on average, but she has nothing on the speedy af Mother Elf, and X’s AOE attacks potentially nullify her advantage anyway if time stop doesn’t outright make it irrelevant first.  ~~Also Samus can’t be all that fast when X of all people is going to beat her to releasing an actually good game by 2020~~

Durability?  See X’s firepower.  He’s survived blows that would vaporize Sammy.  “But what if Samus gets off hax?” lol regen X is back to normal gg

Weapon variety?  For every useful tool Samus has in her arsenal, X has a better version.  Hell sometimes 3 better versions. And that’s not even considering Samus’ much more limited ammunition compared to X.  Oh and the whole “lol I got your powers now” thing

Armors?  X has both quantity and quality over Samus

Hax?  Again, X wipes the floor with Samus’ arsenal, having basically everything Samus has in addition to several abilities she has no answer to (like transmutation, time stop, debuffs, hacking via Mother Elf, intangibility, duplication, absolute zero attacks, black holes, etc.).  Not to mention X has at least decent means of countering what Samus has, if not outright immunity

Intelligence?  X’s enemies are smarter and more devious, X has shown his tactical capabilities more often and has lead teams for much of his career, and his centuries of experience against a much wider variety of foes.  Defeating armies of Mavericks > killing space bugs every time

Hell, even his games are better.  Hot take: X’s spinoffs are better than 99% of the Metroid franchise

Sammy, you’re a bad mute bitch, but X GON GIVE IT TO YA

I was just playing minecraft in the safety of my home and before I know it Munch is holding me at gun-point to write this verdict. C’est la vie. (for real though thanks to Munch for giving me the chance for a cameo, you are the best dood)

Anyway...uh, I mean, Samus is le stronk, and she has le weapons, but X is le stronker and le haxier.

X go pew pew and Samus ded for good.

Rip in pepperonis Samus, at least you will get to join your baby in the afterlife, so that's a positive.

  1. Wow, this was really good. The winner was a little obvious, but I was surprised the fight was closer than I thought. I am happy you all are continuing this series, and I would love to see more in the future.

Question: Will you guys do requests for this series, because I would love to give out some of my ideas for your predictions to do.

  2. Wow. This was Xtremely (get it) biased. Aside from the fact that The Chozos are the most advanced race in the universe, LIGHT years (get it again?) ahead of the technology X has. ASIDE from that, just put Samus and X in lava. See who comes out without a scratch (or at least not dead for crying out loud). Oh yeah. Samus. Don't get me wrong, I love Mega man X. It's in my top 5 favorite game series list, but this is just embarrassing fanboy stuff right here. Even I know X can't survive a poke from Samus. Just because you and I love X doesn't mean we can just slap him on top in power level. (Once again, pit the two in lava.)

    1. Before you say mumbo jumbo about "oh X's power level is over 9000 and he's solar level power..." That. Doesn't. Matter. When. He. Dies. In. One. Dip. Of. La. Va. His technology is far inferior to the Chozo, the energy manipulating "gods."

    2. Right, so Samus will just spray X with some lava and... wait... she won't do that because she doesn't have that.

All that proves is that Samus's suit is more resistant to extreme high temperatures. It says nothing for their durability, in which their feats quite clearly show X's superiority. What you're arguing is akin to saying that a glacier is less durable than a sheet of paper just because a glacier melts at lower temperatures.
