Death Battle Predictions: Obi-Wan Kenobi VS Kakashi

As heroes and villains battle each other to determine the fate of their worlds, their exceptional power and prowess often comes thanks to the arduous training and devoted care imparted on to them by their mentors. Such duties could only be left to individuals who embody their causes’ goals to a tee and are willing to fight and sacrifice themselves to ensure future generations will survive to keep the legacies they built alive. For the next episode of Death Battle, two such masters of their craft from opposite ends of the universe - both regarded for their cunning and guile - take to the arena to test the traits and skills that made them legends against each other:
Obi-Wan Kenobi, the brave-hearted Jedi Master from Star Wars. Kakashi Hatake, the cold-blooded Copy Ninja from Naruto. Their lives are known in two parts; while they may better be known as the mentors to impulsive young apprentices that eventually grew to surpass them and become influential in shaping their worlds, they have also done more of their fair share as two of the most decorated combatants within their organizations’ ranks. The fabled Negotiator of the Galactic Republic has emerged triumphant against countless deadly foes, but will he have what it takes to survive the unrelenting onslaught of Konoha’s Sixth Hokage?

On Kakashi’s end, we will not be including feats he has performed with access to his Dual Mangekyo Sharingan. Given that he needed Obito’s assistance in obtaining it, it was temporary and is not a standard part of his arsenal, it wouldn’t fit the normal rules of Death Battle if he had it, so obviously none of that is gonna fly.
For Obi-Wan, we will be considering feats from the Legends continuity - aka the history of Star Wars before Disney bought the rights to the franchise and rewrote the canon. This is somewhat tricky, as we haven’t had a proper combatant from this series on Death Battle since Darth Vader fought Doctor Doom 5 years ago, so there’s not much of a current model we can base our predictions on. That said, to help clarify the distinction, feats that are exclusive to a certain continuity will be tagged with either (Disney) or (Legends).
Let’s clarify a bit further. The first six movies in addition to the CGI Clone Wars are universally considered common ground between the current and previous canons, so those are being included no matter what. With regards to novelizations, anything in them that occurs within the movies is considered canon to both, whereas events exclusive to them are firmly within the Legends era. This’ll be important for a few key feats we’ll be listing later. The 2003 Clone Wars cartoon is even more complicated, as technically it wasn’t fully canon even before the EU was split off from Disney canon, with the only canon events from it being those which were referenced in different media. As of 2014 with the Legends split, however, it appears to have been lumped in with the rest of the EU continuity-wise. For the sake of simplicity, any feats from it will simply be marked as Legends.

Background

Obi-Wan Kenobi
Born in the Galactic Year 57 BBY on the planet Stewjon, young Obi-Wan Kenobi was a rarity among his people in that he possessed a strong sensitivity to the Force, the mystic life energy that governed the universe. To harness the potential he had, he was taken to Coruscant to begin his training as a future member of the Jedi Order, peacekeepers who harness the Light Side of the force to fight for justice within the galaxy. For many of his formative years as a Padawan, Obi-Wan learned to refine his control over the Force and duel with a lightsaber under many skilled masters within the Order, chief among them his own personal mentor, Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn, and the Order’s own Grand Master, Yoda. 
As a young adult, Obi-Wan soon found himself embarking on many dangerous missions that tested his resolve and fortitude, such as protecting Mandalorian Duchess Satine Kryze from insurgents on her homeworld and stopping the Trade Federation’s invasion of Naboo. Eventually, he became of age to face the trials required for him to ascend to the rank of Jedi Knight, but without his Master by his side; Qui-Gon met his noble end at the hands of the Sith assassin Darth Maul, and Obi-Wan would be tasked by his mentor with one more important task: to train Anakin Skywalker, a Force-sensitive slave child from Tatooine he believed to be the Chosen One of prophecy destined to bring about balance to the Force.
Obi-Wan eventually rose to take a seat within the Jedi Council as he trained Anakin; although his Padawan’s impulsive attitude has caused its fair share of difficulties during training, their relationship as comrades-in-arms grew ever stronger as they battled alongside each other in multiple missions, including the Clone Wars that ravaged the galaxy for years. Despite his best efforts, he could not foresee or prevent his apprentice’s turn to the Dark Side, and with the newly-christened Darth Vader helping establish the Galactic Empire, Obi-Wan and the surviving members of the Jedi Order were forced to scatter in hiding, but not before he would hide away Anakin’s son Luke on Tatooine, to prevent him from coming under the Empire’s influence.
For years, Obi-Wan would remain exiled on Tatooine in hiding from the Empire, while watching over Luke’s growth from a distance. He would not remain isolated for long periods of time, as his sense of duty from his days as a Jedi Knight called upon him to help others in dire straits. With the Galactic Civil War reaching a turning point as the Rebel Alliance saw weaknesses within the Empire to exploit, he returned to action by mentoring Luke as he once did his father. Although he met his own death at the hands of his former apprentice, it did not mark an end to the man himself, as Obi-Wan became one with the Force, further continuing to train Luke from beyond as he brought an end to the Empire and attaining redemption for his once-lost father.

Kakashi Hatake
Born in the Hidden Leaf Village, Kakashi lost his mother at a young age, leaving him to be raised entirely by his father Sakumo Hatake, a renowned hero among members of the Hidden Leaf Village. Kakashi looked up to his father as any boy would idolize their dad growing up. 
This, however, changed when Kakashi’s father decided to prioritize the lives of his teammates over the lives of a mission he was given. This caused the mission to be failed and it had disastrous consequences to the Leaf Village as a result. Sakumo was vilified for his actions, even by the teammates he risked the mission to save. In one fell swoop, he’d gone from National Hero to National Disgrace. The mental and physical toll of being ridiculed and shunned by the people he’d sworn to protect eventually drove him to commit suicide.
With the fate of the Hatake bloodline now resting squarely on his shoulders, and unwilling to end up like his father, Kakashi decided from then on that he would always follow shinobi rules to the letter, no matter what, no ifs, and, or buts about it.
Enrolling in ninja school, despite being an orphan, Kakashi earned himself recognition and respect and was deemed a prodigy, graduating from the academy in only a year at a very young age. He was then assigned to a ninja team with fellow genin Rin Nohara and Obito Uchiha under the tutelage of Minato Namikaze, the future 4th Hokage of the village.
As part of Team Minato, Kakashi worked alongside his teammates, though being a stickler for rules made him hard to work with. He and Obito frequently clashed due to Obito’s jealousy of Kakashi’s natural talent and popularity. This talent would see Kakashi promoted to Jonin relatively quickly ahead of his teammates.
However, Kakashi’s attitude and fights with Obito eventually came to a head once the Leaf Village was pulled into the Third Shinobi War. Team Minato was tasked with destroying Kannabi Bridge to cut off an enemy supply line. During the mission, Kakashi squared off with an enemy ninja named Mahiru and attempted to finish him with his brand new technique: The Chidori. This failed and Minato was forced to bail Kakashi out by killing Mahiru himself despite having left Kakashi in charge of the team to pursue his own goals for the mission. 
Later on, after finding Mahiru dead, his teammates Kakko and Taiseki kidnapped Kakashi’s teammate Rin. And Obito, being noble, suggested that his team go save Rin posthaste. Kakashi rejected this notion, believing that they should focus on the mission and leave Rin for dead. Obito took exception to this and ran off on his own to save Rin, only saying this to Kakashi before running off:
“Those that break the rules are regarded as scum, but those who would abandon even one of their friends are even worse than scum.”
Obito’s intended act of heroism, while noble, didn’t go so well for Obito. He ended up smooshed under a pile of rocks. Pretty much assuming it was a safe bet he was gonna die, Obito gave Kakashi a parting gift: his recently awakened Sharingan. 
And while Rin was rescued, Obito’s noble attempt to save her life would be short-lived when she jumped in front of an attack Kakashi intended for the enemy. No, she wasn’t a traitor or anything, she had one of the tailed beasts--or a tummy monster as Boomstick calls it--sealed inside her and wanted to die at Kakashi’s hand to keep it from rampaging out of control in the Leaf Village. Kakashi refused, but Rin didn’t like that answer so she used Kakashi’s famous Chidori as an excuse to become one with the dead, believing it was the only way to protect her home.
And just to kick the man while he’s down, years later Minato would die as well to defend the Hidden Leaf Village from the rampaging Nine-Tailed Beast, leaving Kakashi as the sole survivor of his 4-ninja group. Ouch. While Kakashi did fall into a depression, throughout his ninja career he seems to have bounced back and become the smart-ass remarking chuunin all the Naruto fans know and love, earning the moniker, thanks to Obito’s Sharingan, “Copy Ninja Kakashi”. 
He’s even responsible for training Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura when they became his students, using the very same training methods Minato taught him and the lessons he learned from Obito about prioritizing your friends over your duty. And Kakashi still carries on his ninja duty even now, protecting the Leaf Village from all that would threaten it while reading “classy” literature and making smart-ass quips along the way.

Equipment

Obi-Wan

Lightsaber
Admit it. You made the noises at some point in your life.
A lightsaber is the signature weapon of Force-sensitive individuals, Jedi and Sith alike. Best known for the massive plasma blade emitted from its hilt, capable of cutting virtually anything save for other energy weapons, like electric staves and other lightsabers, or tough materials like Beskar steel used by Mandalorians. The energy that powers these blades hail from Kyber crystals embedded within their hilts; said material is said to have a strong attunement to the Force, hence its usage by those who have only mastered control over it.
Besides the great offensive potential it affords, a lightsaber is an excellent defensive too as well. Experienced wielders can deflect and parry laser bolts, and more proficient ones have learned to use them to defend against Force Lightning.

Blaster
While preferring not to use Blasters whilst in combat due to being, as he so iconically put it:
Obi Wan is still a skilled sharpshooter. He is able to perform a specific blaster challenge that one of the galaxy’s best bounty hunters had failed to do. He is able to easily take and then shoot an object from mid-air. His most impressive achievement with a blaster is shooting General Grievous in his core - causing him to blow up.

Jedi Armour
Jedi would often wear Jedi Commander armour while in battle, this Jedi Commander armour consisted of the most important pieces of armor plates as a measure to prevent hampering the Jedi's lightsaber forms and movement. The armour is strong enough to easily tank blaster shots as well as gunfire.

Kakashi

Kunai
Kunai are one of the most common tools used by shinobi. It is a black dagger about the length of one's hand with a handle wrapped in bandages and a circular end. While usually kept in a shinobi's weapon pouch, they can also be kept on spring-loaded wires up the user's sleeve. Kunai generally are designed for thrusting and stabbing, but can be thrown as a projectile as well. Using it as a ranged weapon, shinobi can attach an explosive tag to the blade, causing it to detonate when it reaches near its target. This use of the weapon is known as an explosive kunai. Kunai can also be empowered with chakra, allowing them to be capable of cutting through solid wood and stone.

Shuriken
Shuriken, like kunai, are one of the more basic weapons seen in the Naruto series. They are sharpened, four-pronged metal stars useful for throwing. They can also be used for close combat, but not very efficiently. Although small, they can be used to distract, pin down enemy shinobi, or, if accurate enough, kill or incapacitate an enemy. They have an open circle in the centre, useful for grabbing with a finger, to avoid cutting oneself, or to put thread through. The circle is also beneficial to the weapon's overall aerodynamics, ensuring more accurate trajectories.

Makibishi
Makibishi are small, sharp objects that are mainly used to inhibit someone from walking in a certain direction or area, since they would injure the ninja's feet if they tried to walk over them.

Smoke Bombs
Of course, Kakashi is known for being a trickster. A smoke bomb creates a cloud of smoke when it detonates. It may look like small spheres wrapped in paper or canisters, but smoke bombs are typically used to blind opponents and make them easier to attack. Alternatively, ninja can use smoke bombs on themselves so that opponents cannot see what they are doing. They can also contain poison or sleeping gas.

Kusarigama
A kusarigama is a traditional Japanese weapon consisting of a sickle attached to a chain. It may be used to attack opponents, or to incapacitate them with the chain. Some skilled kusarigama users can even use it to steal their opponents' weapons.

White Light Chakra Sabre
The White Light Chakra Sabre is a tanto that originally belonged to Sakumo Hatake, Kakashi’s father, who passed it on to his son. It’s a straight-bladed tanto with a small, circular hand-guard. It gives off a white streak of chakra when it swings. While the blade was originally destroyed during the Third Shinobi World War, it was later shown to have been repaired with Kakashi still using it for missions in the anime.

Abilities

Obi-Wan

Lightsaber Combat
As the signature weapon of the Jedi, it is required by every Padawan to learn multiple forms of lightsaber combat - in particular, the seven forms or disciplines created by the Jedi Order. These seven are referred to as the “classic” forms and are the building blocks in which other unorthodox or makeshift fighting styles are made.
Obi-Wan is specifically noted to prefer one form above all else - Form III: Soresu. Also known as the Resilience Form or the Way of the Mynock, this is a defense-oriented fighting style made initially to counter the use of blasters and other ranged weapons. Soresu focuses on evasive maneuvers and tight parrying techniques along with proper counterattacks to outlast an opponent; against foes who become fatigued or more aggressive, this can lead to scenarios where the practitioner can win by outlasting their foe with sheer endurance and patience in waiting for opportune moments to strike. 
By combining Soresu’s strong defense with techniques learned from other forms, Obi-Wan refined his own take on the fighting style to such a degree that other Jedi Masters like Mace Windu and Yoda - they themselves considered to be among the best duelists in the galaxy - have declared him to be the greatest practitioner of the form in history, something that very few lightsaber wielders from either the Jedi or Sith can lay claim to. As their mentor, two of the other known Jedi to have practiced Soresu to some degree were Anakin and Luke Skywalker, both regarded as skilled fighters in their own rights. One other noted practitioner was Jedi Master Luminara Unduli, a comrade of Obi-Wan during the Clone Wars.
The other noted forms of the Jedi Order, which Obi-Wan must have learned over the course of his training, are as so:
  • Form I: Shii-Cho: Known as the Way of the Sarlacc or the Determination Form. The most ancient of all lightsaber combat forms, developed after warriors had learned to use lightsabers over normal bladed weapons. It is regarded as the simplest form to learn, known for its traditional movements that Jedi rely upon when all else fails. It is especially designed for allowing the practitioner to fight multiple opponents at once. A notable practitioner of this Lightsaber combat form was Jedi Master Kit Fisto. 
  • Form II: Makashi: Known as the Way of Ysalamiri or the Contention Form. This form employs straightforward dueling techniques akin to fencing, with graceful and flowing movements against a single opponent. Count Dooku, also known as the Sith Lord Darth Tyrannus, was a noted practitioner of this form, as were Jedi Master Ki-Adi Mundi and the Sith assassin Asajj Ventress.
  • Form IV: Ataru: Known as the Way of the Hawk-Bat or the Aggression Form. Ataru’s focus on acrobatic and rushdown tactics make it the inverse of the ground-based defensive stance of Soresu. This form has many well-known users, including Yoda, Qui-Gon Jinn, Kyle Katarn, Plo Koon, Aayla Secura and Ezra Bridger.
  • Form V: Shien / Djem So: Known as the Way of the Krayt Dragon or the Perseverance Form, this advanced discipline was meant to connect the aggressiveness of Ataru and the defensiveness of Soresu into a single unified style. Anakin Skywalker developed a preference for this form, one that he would train to his own Padawan, Ashoka Tano.
  • Form VI: Niman: Known as the Way of the Rancor or the Diplomat’s Form. This form further refined the strengths and weaknesses of the previous forms to create a discipline that is truly moderate by comparison to the forms that came before it. Darth Maul used a modified version of this to handle his unique dual-bladed lightsaber.
  • Form VII: Juyo / Vaapad: Known as the Way of the Vornskr or the Ferocity Form. This discipline has the user harness their inner focus and use their inner darkness for a wildly unpredictable and unrelenting fighting style that few can reliably answer. Jedi Master Mace Windu was a major proponent of this mindset.

Skilled Hand-to-Hand Combat
Despite not relying on this fighting style much due to the Force and his Lightsaber being more than enough, Obi Wan has displayed impressive hand to hand fighting capabilities being able to take out several prison guards while impersonating someone else as well as being a match for the Bounty Hunter Jango Fett.

The Force
As its name implies, the Force is the life energy that maintains and binds all life within the universe. As such, it exists within all life forms, although those who are particularly sensitive to it can learn how to actively harness its powers. This is due to the presence of midi-chlorians, sentient life forms within an individual’s blood that have a symbiotic relationship with the Force. Those born with a high amount of them are made aware of the Force’s presence, and can actively manipulate it to perform various powers:

Force Telepathy/Telekinesis
Force Telekinesis is the ability to move and manipulate physical matter in a variety of ways, all with the power of the Force. This is arguably the most used technique amongst Light Force Users and is more a Utility Technique that a combat focused one. Those who master Force Telekinesis have many techniques that are available to use whilst in combat:
  • Force Disarm: This Telekinesis Attack involves the Disarming of your opponent. This was most used by Jedi as a means of disarming a Sith's Lightsaber before knocking them out. 
  • Force Lift: Involves the lifting of people and objects. While most Jedi use this technique as a means of lifting large objects such as Obi Wan and Master Judi lifting a large door, Sith use this technique to lift people up for interrogation or lifting them to great heights. 
  • Levitate: Involves the Jedi to suspend themselves against the force of gravity - it doesn’t require any contact to the ground in order to work.
  • Force Crush: This Force Ability allows the user to crush the inside of an enemy, crippling them. While Jedi only use this ability against non-organic lifeforms, the Sith have no such restriction. 
  • Force Throw: This feat was used mostly in Legends - it allows a Jedi or Sith User to throw their Lightsaber and then have it come back to their hand. Obi Wan used this to destroy a Droideka
  • Force Pull: Obi Wan can pull objects towards them as well as pull objects in any direction. Obi-Wan used this to bring down a stalagmite.
  • Force Tug: This involves a tug of war between two Force Users, this happened during Obi-Wan’s Battle Against Anakin. 
  • Force Push: This is a weaker version of Force Shove and like Foce Shove Allows the user to push an object or an opponent away from them. Obi Wan used this ability against Cad Bane.
  • Force Shove: Using this ability a Jedi or a Sith can throw an enemy away from them, creating distance. Obi-Wan has used this ability during his fight against Asajj Ventress
  • Force Repulse: The user uses the force in order to create a gigantic telekinetic explosion. This was used in Clone Wars 2003 by Obi-Wan Kenobi  during the Battle of Muunilinst against the bounty hunter Durge, killing him from within (Legends)

Shatterpoint
Shatterpoints were a complex Force phenomenon, perceivable only by an unknown innate talent or immense focus and concentration on the part of the Force user. Shatterpoints were akin to fault lines, similar to different pathways of actions. Adept Force users are able to perceive these faults through the Force, and influence them such as by destroying beskar-forged armor with a tap of a lightsaber hilt, or ripping open a teenager’s forehead!

Force Sensing
Using this ability, Obi Wan can sense danger (like a Spider Sense), sense other people's thoughts and feelings. Obi-Wan has honed this ability to the point that he is able to sense when things have happened on a different planet despite him not being there such as the time he sensed the destruction of Alderaan. In other words:

Jedi Mind Trick
A simple act of playing around with another’s mind, Obi-Wan uses the Force to manipulate an unassuming target’s deeds, usually with a quick statement of what he wants them to do.

Force Speed
A force ability which, as the name suggests, greatly increases the user’s speed and agility. It is said that a Jedi using this ability appears to be in multiple places at once, wielding as many as ten lightsabers due to the afterimages they create. In Legends, the technique goes even farther, to the point where even people comparable in speed seem to be in slow-motion from the user’s perspective.

Force Precognition
This ability allows the user to see the events in the future as well what Obi Wan’s opponent' is about to do next hench the infamous Revenge of the Jedi Spinning Blades Scene. This technique especially works well against Sith Opponents since the Jedi can sense what attack they are about to do next. This ability also allows the user to block attacks without looking. 

Tutamanis
Tutamanis is an umbrella term of the Jedi referring to any Force technique that allows the user to absorb opposing energy. With these abilities, a Jedi can absorb other Force-based attacks, blaster bolts, and in rare cases, even concentrated energy such as a lightsaber’s strike. Kenobi. High-tier Jedi such as Yoda have used these abilities to deflect attacks as powerful as Palpatine’s Force Lightning.

Force Stealth

Force Stealth
A power that was used by highly skilled Force-sensitives to mask their Force alignment (Light or Dark), their ability to use the Force, or even their entire presence from other Force-sensitives. Both Obi-Wan and Yoda used a form of Force concealment to shield themselves from Palpatine and Vader in their exile.

Electronic Manipulation

Obi-Wan can manipulate the electronic shells of individual atoms in order to manipulate electronic beings/robots such as General Grevious (he used this ability to open General Grievous's hands).This technique can also be used in order to manipulate prosthetics such as Anakin Skywalker’s mechanical hand. 

Force Heal
Also called Cure or Force Healing, Jedis and Siths have the ability to heal themselves from injuries or fatal wounds. Force users can also heal others, as Obi-Wan once healed a woman from poisoning and a man from a deadly explosion both from the novel Clone Wars: Siege. Obi-Wan does not have the best experience in using this technique, but has shown he is able to use it. Examples include the time he healed Luke after he got clubbed by Tusken Raiders and in the novel Jedi Quest: Path to Truth, he was healing his arm during a fight. This is a limit from using force heal as Anakin, Qui-Gon, and others have shown time and time again force heal does not alway work.

Immovability
Obi-Wan can use the Force in order to ground himself, making him impossible to move by anyone. He can also use this ability to root with other objects or animals such as Giant Lizards. 

Beast Control
Obi Wan is able to manipulate the thoughts and minds of creatures and keep them under his control. Obi Wan can usually do this in order to stop beasts from attacking them though other users of this ability can control the beasts in order to use them like minions. 

Force Ghost

In all seriousness though this ability is extremely rare among the Jedi and Sith and only those who have died can do this such as Obi Wan who was killed by Darth Vader during A New Hope. Using this ability, Obi Wan was able to relay information/teachings to Luke Skywalker past his death. 

The High Ground
Memes aside, this is an actual thing. Well, technically.
This was a term based off of the legendary scene in Episode III. Obi-Wan is a master duelist and a master tactician, and quite often he predicts and plans out complete confrontations. In other words, winning before even using his weapon, or even further, not using his weapon at all. He reads and baits his opponents into the exact positions he needs for a precise and decisive counterattack to end the fight instantly. In his fights with Darth Maul, General Grievous and Anakin Skywalker, he mostly fought defensively, and it appeared that his opponents had the upper hand. However, Obi-Wan turned the tables and ended them with very few attacks.
Taking it more analytically, let’s look at his duel with Anakin on Mustafar. Anakin was the more aggressive fighter, and he was the one that landed more attacks, such as choking Obi-Wan and drop-kicking him while keeping him on the ropes. Despite this, when the infamous High Ground scene came, Obi-Wan sliced off both of Anakin’s legs and his remaining biological arm in a single strike.

Kakashi

Chakra
Chakra is the physical and spiritual energy located on every cell of the body and gained through exercise and experience. It's basically a cross between chi and stamina as the two are directly linked. Though other methods exist, Hand Seals are the main way to channel Chakra through 361 different points over the body so it can be manipulated to perform a variety of acts like walking on water, ceilings or sheer cliffs, creating elemental attacks, creating illusions, defying the laws of physics, etc.
While anything capable of using chakra can use non-elemental chakra, they also have an affinity to a certain element that lets them give elemental properties to their techniques boosting their power and efficiency. Despite Kakashi being able to perform all the five basic elements, he has a special affinity towards the nature type Lightning Release. Lightning style jutsus are naturally stronger than Earth style jutsus, so it can potentially cancel them out. However, Lightning based techniques can also potentially get canceled out if an Earth based technique is stronger. Furthermore, Lightning style jutsus are weaker than Wind style jutsus. Luckly, a strong enough lightning jutsu can resist being canceled out or overpowered by wind jutsus.

Ninjutsu

Lighting Release

As stated earlier, Kakashi’s chakra nature affinity is Lightning Release, one of the five main types of nature transformations and most commonly known to be used by the shinobi of Kumogakure (The Village Hidden in the Clouds). By converting chakra into electricity, Lightning Release can become very versatile as users can channel this electricity into ninja tools, increasing the weapon's cutting power by making it vibrate or causing a numbing effect to those the weapons contact. While less common, users can additionally take control of natural lightning. In terms of comparing it to other nature transformations, it is weak against Wind Release but is strong against Earth Release. 
Chidori 
Possibly the most famous technique created by Kakashi, the Chidori is a high concentration of lightning chakra channelled around the user's hand. It requires high speed and no hand signs to use. The raw lightning chakra is so intense, it becomes visible and produces a sound akin to birds chirping. The Chidori is used to impale or slash at the opponent, inflicting them with high (and often fatal) damage. Despite the sound it makes, the rapid speed at which it's used makes the Chidori useful for assassinations.
Lightning Cutter - Kakashi’s own Chidori that’s not much different from the standard Chidori other than requiring greater finesse. The reason why Kakashi’s Chidori is named “Lightning Cutter” is because he once used it to split a bolt of lightning.

Other Techniques
Lightning Release: Lightning Beast Tracking Fang - Kakashi forms lightning in his hand and launches it at his opponent in the form of a hound to attack them. As the hound is highly fast and its movements are unpredictable, it is very difficult to avoid. Kakashi's hand remains connected to the hound by a cord of lightning, allowing him to freely manipulate the speed and range of the technique.
Lightning Release: Purple Electricity - Due to no longer being able to safely use the Chidori after losing his Sharingan, Kakashi invented this new jutsu as a replacement. With this new technique, Kakashi shoots a bolt of electricity from his hand to strike a target. Kakashi typically uses Purple Electricity to strike targets from a distance, but he does sometimes use it through direct contact as well. He can also modulate the intensity of Purple Electricity and even send bolts of purple lightning all around his body in an omni-directional attack.
Lightning Release: Shadow Clone Technique - Kakashi is able to create a shadow clone infused with lightning. Because it is a shadow clone, it is able to perform techniques and interact with the environment. If the clone gets injured, it will revert back to its natural lightning-state and, at the same time, electrocute whoever makes contact with it. Unlike a regular shadow clone though, it does not send chakra back to the user upon reverting to lightning.
Lightning Transmission - Kakashi and a shadow clone both perform the Lightning Cutter on opposite hands, which they connect together with a sharp cord of lightning between themselves. It was powerful enough to slice through a tailed beast's chakra arms with relative ease. The technique can also be used to wrap around a target and restrain it.

Fire Release

Fire Release is one of the five main types of nature transformation and is the type most commonly associated with the Ninjas of Konoha. In terms of comparing it to the other nature transformations, it is the most offensive transformation - focusing on extremely powerful and deadly fiery breath attacks that are created through the user channeling their chakra to become flames in the user’s mouth and fire then firing it. In terms of comparing it to other nature transformations it is weak against Water Release as Water douses the flames but strong against Wind Release as Wind amps up the flames. 
Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique: This is the main fire based technique that Kakashi has used in the series. The user of this technique turns the chakra in their body into fire and releases into a fiery stream. Usually, the fire transforms into a large ball that maintains until it has hit a target. It is strong enough to completely evaporate objects as well as cause massive burns against a target.

Water Release

This is Kakashi’s second most used Elemental Transformation used in the series. Water Release is one of the five elemental transformations in the series and the one most commonly associated with the people of Kirigakure. In terms of how it functions in combat, Water Release Users will often use existing water sources such as lakes in order to fire off powerful water based attacks. Users are also able to create water from their mouths in the same way that Fire Release Users can do the same. In terms of its weaknesses and strengths, it is weak to Earth Resistance but strong against Fire Release. In terms of how Kakashi uses it, these are the techniques he has learned throughout the series. 
Water Clone Technique: Kakashi is able to create a clone of himself made out of water. Unlike the standard shadow clone,these water clones are physically real and completely copy the user meaning they can also perform the same jutsu. They can also be used for intel gathering due to being able to physically interact with others. However, they are physically weaker than the user and if taken too much damage they will simply become water again. 
Hiding in Mist Technique: This technique is a specialty of Kirigakure ninja but Kakashi has learned it. Kakashi using his own chakra is able to fill the air with mist and control its thickness with his chakra. This blocks the view of anyone who wants to attack Kakashi - making it extremely difficult to see unless you have a special Dojutsu such as Byakugun or a Sharingan. 
Water Release: Great Waterfall Technique: This is one of the most well-known and powerful Water Release Techniques. It allows the user to expel a large body of water from the user’s mouth (or from a preexisting source of water). Doing this creates a large waterfall that can suck any foe into it’s watery vortex and then hit them for a significant amount of damage. Kakashi used this technique in the series in order to damage Zabuza. 
Water Release: Water Bullet Technique: This is the most common water based technique, using the chakra in the user’s stomach, the user is able to expel a large quantity of water from the user’s stomach creating a water blast strong enough to hold back strong opponents.

Water Release: Water Dragon Bullet Technique: This water based technique allows the user to manipulate water that it becomes the shape of a dragon, before launching at a foe. It is usually used near a source of water but strong enough users can fire this attack from the mouth.
Water Release: Water Formation Wall: This is the primary defense water based attack in Naruto, the user spits a stream of water from their mouth at the ground. This creates a water circle around them before they manipulate the water so it rises upwards - creating a wall. This technique allows the user to block incoming attacks. It can also be used as a shield to help allies as demonstrated by Sasuke in Sasuke Shinden. 
Water Release: Water Shark Bullet Technique: The user manipulates a volume of water with their hand. The user can then thrust their hand in a direction - sending the water to that water. As the water moves it takes the shape of a shark before hitting its target for massive damage. 

Earth Release

Earth Release is one of the five elemental transformations in the series and is primarily used by the people of Iwagakure. It functions extremely differently from Fire Release as well as Water Release, as it requires more environmental manipulation then any other Nature Release. Users of Earth Release will use their chakra to manipulate the ground around it (though particularly strong users can create earth within their bodies, which they then fire from their mouth). Often Earth Release is more defensive based as most techniques commonly involve setting up walls in order to protect the ninja and their allies. In terms of its weaknesses it is strong against Water Release but weak against Lightning Release. In terms of the techniques Kakashi has used throughout the series: 
Earth Release: Double Suicide Decapitation Technique: Odd name aside, this techinque involves the grabbing of an enemy and then dragging them into the earth, leaving only their head above the surface, making them completely unable to move. 
Earth Release: Earth Wave Technique: Kakashi is the only one who has been shown to use this technique. The user slams their palm onto the surface below their feet turning the surface into waves. However, this technique drains a considerable amount of chakra.
Earth Release: Earth-Style Wall: This is the most common Earth Release Technique in the series. Performing this technique allows the user to create a wall out of earth that is capable of blocking fire based attacks as shown with Kakashi’s fight against Obito Uchiha. In terms of how this technique is performed - it is done  through converting the chakra in their body into an earthly material that they spit from their mouth in order to create a wall. 
Earth Release: Hiding Like a Mole Technique: This technique is performed through the user channeling their chakra into the ground, changing it from normal ground to sand. The user can then dig through the sand which allows them an effective hiding place or an efficient surprise attack.
Earth Release: Multiple Earth-Style Wall: This technique is very similar to Earth Release: Earth Style Wall. The difference is that the user creates inner and outer walls - increasing the Earth Walls’ resilience and making it extremely difficult for it to destroy the Earth Walls. 
Earth Release: Rending Drill Fang: This technique is only used when the user is in the ground. While submerged beneath an enemy, the user launches themselves out of the ground to launch an attack.

Clone Techniques

Shadow Clone Jutsu
One of the most iconic techniques from Naruto, the Shadow Clone technique allows Kakashi to create one or more copies of himself. His chakra is evenly divided between himself and his clones: creating one clone will give it half of Kakashi's chakra, creating two clones will give each a third of Kakashi's chakra, and so on. This means that the technique is generally used by shinobi with very high chakra reserves.
Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu - Unlike the regular Shadow Clone Technique, the multiple shadow clone technique allows the user to create a few hundred clones instead of just a few. However, the technique is considered a kinjutsu, or forbidden jutsu, because it can potentially be dangerous to the person performing it, seeing as how all of the clones are given an equal amount of chakra directly from the user.

Substitution Jutsu
The instant before shinobi is about to be struck by an attack, they replace themselves with a block of wood or something similar. Because the attack does hit something, opponents may briefly believe that they've successfully struck the shinobi. However, this is merely an optical illusion and opponents will quickly notice what actually happened. If the shinobi is fast enough, they can use this brief lapse in the opponent's attention to stage a counterattack. The replacement log itself can also be used as an attack, such as being applied with explosive tags. This option also provides shinobi a good opportunity to escape.

Rasengan
The Rasengan was a technique created by Minato Namikaze, who was Kakashi’s teacher and mentor. After creating the Rasengan, Minato would later teach it to Jiraiya and Kakashi. The Rasengan is a spinning ball of chakra formed and held in the palm of the user's hand. Despite it being a small orb of energy, this technique packs quite a sufficient amount of power. Once formed, the Rasengan doesn’t require any additional chakra to be sustained. As a result, there’s no definite limit to how long the Rasengan can be used. On contact, the Rasengan grinds into its target and propels them along the technique’s trajectory. That trajectory can be either away from the user or into the ground beneath them. At some point, the Rasengan will burst and cause severe damage at the point of contact. Kakashi only knows the standard version of the Rasengan as he failed to create a lightning-variant of the technique.

Summoning Jutsu
In the Naruto world, summoning allows the user to call upon an animal from a specific species onto the battlefield in order to fight for their side. When it comes to Summoning, Kakashi’s main animals that he summons are Ninken (Ninja Dogs). They’re dogs that have heightened senses and abilities, and as such, are able to work alongside shinobi. Kakashi's ninken possess the ability to use human language, walk on water, develop combat strategies, and track down targets through their enhanced smell. They are quite dangerous in combat, as Kakashi states that they can tear their opponents apart on his command. He can either summon them separately, as he commonly does so with Pakkun, or all together. Kakashi’s dogs are named the following:

Summoning: Earth Release: Tracking Fang Technique
If Kakashi cannot find his target, he uses this technique to summon his pack of ninken underground. The ninken use their superior sense of smell to track the target, converge on their location, and then all together burst from the ground and take hold of the target with their fangs. With the target captured in this way, Kakashi can easily locate and finish them off.

Eye Mind Reading
By subtly weaving signs with their eye, the shinobi can delve into the mind of their target through eye contact without them noticing. This can also be used on a target that is currently reading the shinobi’s mind. A shinobi is even able to perform this on themself to restore or remove information in their own mind.

Genjutsu

Demonic Illusion: Hell Viewing Technique
This technique subjects a victim to visions of their greatest fear, regardless of whether or not they're aware that they're afraid of it. This "fear" can be something that the victim is actually scared of or merely the one image that they least want to see.

Taijutsu
Taijutsu, or “Body Techniques”, is the art of hand-to-hand combat and martial arts. Unlike the elemental ninjutsu or the illusionary genjutsu, taijutsu does not require chakra, though it can be enhanced with it. It is clearly faster than ninjutsu or genjutsu, and Kakashi is an absolute pro. He can take multiple approaches due to his impressive adaptability, but he is mainly seen to be an incredibly quick and aggressive fighter. Though, that doesn’t mean his defense is lacking.

Strong Fist
This hand-to-hand style of combat is all about smashing your foes and breaking their bones. It’s obviously most associated with Might Guy and Rock Lee, as they are some of the most physically dominant shinobi around. Kakashi didn’t actively study this style, though his Sharingan has let him copy a few techniques. 

Silent Killing
This technique is based around, what else, silently killing an opponent. Often associated with Zabuza, this technique is simply a soundless method of killing an opponent, usually from behind with a blade. Additionally, because the user moves silently, the attack cannot be anticipated and defended against. The user will often slit their opponent's throat, preventing any cry that might give them away.

Eight Gates
While usually considered the staple ability of Kakashi’s rival Might Guy and the latter’s pupil Rock Lee, Kakashi has shown limited control over the Eight Gates technique himself. With this, he can open paths in his body which free his chakra flow, giving him increased power at the risk of bodily harm. Kakashi has only ever gone as far as releasing the first gate, the Gate of Opening, though. This allows him to perform the Front Lotus technique, where he knocks an opponent into the air, wraps them up in bandages, and piledrives them back down into the earth.

One Thousand Years of Death

Victims of this attack have claimed they couldn’t sit down straight for weeks. Truly, it is the most gruesome and humiliating technique of all of Kakashi’s attacks.

Dojutsu
Literally meaning “Eye Techniques”, Dojutsu heavily utilizes, well, eyes. Users of Dojutsu employ their eyes for special attacks like jutsus. Dojutsu’s chakra drainage varies, but it is known that users can, in a way, exhaust their eyes, though their physical performance as a whole may be unaffected. The Sharingan, the Rinnegan, and the Byakugan are known as the main three Dojutsu, or the Three Great Dojutsu.

Sharingan
While on death’s door during the 3rd Shinobi World War, Obito gave Kakashi his left Sharingan as a gift for the latter’s recent promotion to Jonin and to replace his lost eye. The Sharingan is the signature ability of the Uchiha clan that’s usually awakened by severe mental trauma. This ability dyes an Uchiha’s vision red and grants them a wide array of ocular based abilities, including viewing microscopic entities in one’s own bloodstream, things underground thanks to their chakra, and predicting and copying the movements of foes and objects via watching their muscle movements.
With this new gift, Kakaki was given the nickname “Kakashi of the Sharingan”. However, because he’s not an Uchiha, Kakashi can't deactivate the Sharingan. As a result, the Sharingan rapidly drains his chakra whenever he uses it and thus leaves him bedridden after extended use. As such, Kakashi keeps the eye covered when he doesn't need it in order to prevent this. Despite his handicap, the copycat ninja is still able to wield it to an impressive extent as noted by Itachi Uchiha. During the Fourth Shinobi World War though, Kakashi lost his Sharingan eye but Naruto healed him a new normal one. Even though he no longer has Obito’s Sharingan, he’ll still be given it in Death Battle since it was part of his standard arsenal for nearly the whole series.
Genjutsu: Sharingan
This actually refers to a broad range of abilities available to Sharingan users via its illusory abilities rather than a single technique. By establishing eye contact with a target, the Sharingan user traps them within a genjutsu which can be exploited for one of various purposes, such as: causing instantaneous, but temporary, loss of consciousness or paralysis in the target, forceful extraction of information, relaying memories, removing genjutsu placed on the target by others, and controlling a target's actions. The illusions created by Genjutsu: Sharingan do not appear to have any trademark form, appearing vastly different between the same functions and even the same users.

Mangekyo Sharingan
The Mangekyo Sharingan is an advanced form of the Sharingan. It’s initially awakened by the trauma suffered from witnessing the death of someone close to the user. In Kakashi’s case, it was awakened when he accidentally killed his teammate, Rin Nohara. The Mangekyo Sharingan retains all of the Sharingan’s generic abilities while also gaining new powerful ones as well. These new abilities differ between each eye but can be similar in nature. Kakashi’s Mangekyo ability is Kamui (see below).
However, using the Mangekyo Sharingan’s abilities can cause a great strain on the user. It drains a considerable amount of chakra when simply activating and maintaining it, even more through each technique used. Even more, it can cause considerable damage to their being, leaving the body in agonising pain and causing deterioration to their vision. Eventually, overusing the Mangekyo Sharingan will leave the user permanently blind.
Kamui
Aka bullshit: the technique
Kakashi’s most powerful technique. By creating a focal point of his view with extreme concentration, he can warp dimensional space around both objects and people, sending them to another dimension. Kamui can be applied both for simple BFR and brutal dismemberment. However, it drains Kakashi’s chakra significantly. Originally, he was only able to use it 3 times a day. Eventually, he improved to the point of being able to use it more, though the exact number is unspecified.

Two, the Infant was really set to cause a chain reaction that would lead to planetary destruction, as it alone isn’t capable of doing so. Obi-Wan
Kenobi is indeed one of the strongest Jedi in Star Wars, yet he is still a human being. The Force is indeed very powerful and connected, but like all users, Kenobi has his own limits, as there have been many times that he was overpowered and even outsmarted by others. Also, Kenobi is known for being more defensive than offensive since he is the master of form 3, mostly relying on his foes to make mistakes to deliver the finishing blow. His fights with Dooku have shown multiple times that it does not always work.
Most importantly, his greatest weakness is his struggle from his failures. Throughout his years as a Jedi, Obi-Wan has suffered his fair share of loss and then some, from his master and father figure, his lover, and worst of all his brother figure, Anakin. He has a penchant for them dying in his arms too. Despite all of this, though, his failures and wisdom have brought him ever closer to understanding his morals as a true Jedi, and eventually led him to giving the future hope. Even in death, his survival and sacrifice redeemed Anakin, guided Luke to his destiny, and brought peace to the galaxy…until Disney, well, yeah...

Kakashi
Kakashi, like Kenobi, is one of the best masters in the world of Naruto, but he also has his limits. Chakra is powerful, but is limited by the user’s stamina and reserves. It also does not always protect the user, and Kakashi has shown to be overpowered and can run out of stamina easily if not careful, though his longevity did improve over the course of the series. His Sharingan is a great example, since he is not capable of deactivating it at will (which is why he covers it). It is also very possible to rip out the Sharingan, as Madara showed. Kakashi also relies mostly on close-ranged combat, and has limits to what he can copy since he must be able to perform it himself. The same goes for his Kamui, which can tire him out very quickly as well.

it’s actually happening y’all 
The boi Obi-Wan finally comes around to fight probs the one guy I wanted him to get matched against, and I could not be fucking happier. One of my favorite Naruto characters taking on the guy from Star Wars I love the most in a thematic as hell episode-- what’s not to get hyped over? (Said as someone who doesn’t Naruto much but fucking adores Star Wars to death.)
So currently, there’s two scenarios to go over here which impact the overall verdict, and they both concern what you’re going to accept for Obi-Wan. Either you restrict him to the current Disney continuity, or allow the use of the old Expanded Universe for feats and such. This actually results in two clear cut endgames: if we keep him to Disney stuff, Kakashi wins, but if we go HAM with the old EU, then Obi-Wan wins.
Time for the breakdown: without just yet getting into the stats debate, both have pretty good blow-by-blow counters for each other’s powers, although I’d say Obi-Wan edges a bitt. Kakashi’s genjutsu and Obi-Wan’s Force mind abilities render the other moot, and both have precognition abilities which’ll mean they’ll have an idea of what’s coming, although Obi-Wan does have Force Mind Probing, which Kakashi doesn’t have much of a counter to. Both are equipped with healing techniques, and while they aren’t exactly Wolverine’s healing factor, it should be enough to keep them in the fight for a bit longer. 
Kakashi’s kunai isn’t surviving direct strikes against a lightsaber, but the variety of his elemental jutsu could throw Obi-Wan for a loop -- except lightning, since we’ve seen lightsabers able to deflect it a lot. Also, Tutamanis could help Obi manipulate them, I wager. Kakashi has an insta-win technique in Kamui, and while Obi-Wan doesn’t necessarily have a counter to that if he does get hit, he does have a few tricks up his sleeve to prevent it from ever landing - more on that later.
Both are undoubtedly packing a shitton of experience and training, given how they’ve been at this since childhood. You could argue that Obi-Wan being the older of the two would give him the experience edge, and I guess there’s some truth to that; but ultimately it's too close to the point that it wouldn’t really matter in the larger scale of things. Kakashi’s taijutsu is gonna be tested against Obi-Wan’s multiple lightsaber fighting styles, and with it, their mindsets in battle. Given how both employ the same modus operandi of patiently waiting for openings while studying their opponents’ movements and formulating unorthodox strategies to deal with any vulnerabilities, it's safe to say that they’ll constantly be looking for ways to one-up each other.
Now, for the meat of things. We’ve two options to go on here, so let’s start with what could happen if Death Battle keeps Obi-Wan strictly within the confines of Disney canon. To clarify what Obi-Wan needs to win here, he’s going up against someone who could hit Island/Mountain level AP/dura (via scaling to Bijuu) with rela to FTL speeds (via Raikage). Death Battle previously gave Kakashi Mach 2000 by scaling Might Guy to him in his battle against All Might, so there’s a very good range value of what to expect from him at worst. At best, he sits comfortably within FTL range via Raikage, and while I’ve seen some contention over that in our debates, I’ll accept it for the purposes of discussion.
Disney Kenobi is pretty much a dead man. He could match Kakashi in speed thanks to various FTL feats especially with regards to blaster fire, but he only hits about 1/5th of what Kakashi can potentially do - mainly off the sorta contentious feat of Darth Vader surviving torpedoes being shot at his personal TIE fighter, so with the wide stat gap, that’s 1000 years of pain and more waiting for him.
Legends Kenobi is where things flip around. Not much with speed, but with power. See, even if we had to disregard the Infant of Shaa for not being fully legit, Obi-Wan benefits from crazy Country-level shenanigans that pretty much take the piss out of anything Kakashi has ever done to the point a one-shot from him is pretty solid. Speed does allow him to edge out just a bit more with Legends’ better assortment of FTL speeds, which would accomplish two things: keeping himself within the same range or even better than Kakashi’s speed to ensure a one-shot scenario is likely, and allowing him to dodge Kamui if Kakashi pulls it off.
Neither of these scenarios are exactly wrong, per se. For the most part, both Obi-Wan and Kakashi have obvious advantages and disadvantages going into this fight that cases for their victories are outlined pretty well if you do the breakdown, depending on material. Therein lies the question; within the episode’s context, whoever wins can only be determined by how much you are willing to give Obi-Wan old Expanded Universe stats and feats. (“You” meaning DB.)
There are certainly arguments to be made for and against inclusion. You could point out that given the retconning and with about 6-ish new years of content for the Disney continuity in addition to the first two trilogies and the Clone Wars, Obi-Wan should stick to what’s currently considered to be canon and disregard Legends. On the other hand, that wouldn’t necessarily be fair to him if we didn’t consider the near-40 years worth of material Legends has, which would in turn possibly restrict what could be his maximum potential. 
The continuity divide between Disney and Legends isn’t exactly the same case as Archie Sonic or using non-616/Post-Crisis comic book incarnations for Marvel and DC characters, and with the last Star Wars fight taking place way before the current style of Death Battle got established, we’re pretty much in the dark about what is and isn’t being used. Then I guess there’s also the issue of fairness, since either way someone is getting stomped.
Ultimately, I don’t really see Death Battle wanting to restrict the stuff that Obi-Wan gets based on the pretty muddy continuity deal Disney spring up, so I’ll side with him getting Legends feats taken into account, enough at least to secure a win for him.

Back for another verdict, well since unlike last fight there’s going to be a lot of verdicts for this one so i will try and keep it short or at least reasonably short considering how hype this matchup is. While I am not as hyped as a certain Phantom Falcon, I admit this fight has been wanted for a long while now and the fact it’s being animated by the SFM Animators only added to the hype. So let’s get to it shall we. 
In terms of Stats:
When it comes to Obi Wan’s best Destructive Capability, there is nothing really sufficient shown but Obi Wan can be scaled to other characters such as the man he has shown to be equal with or at least comparable to - Darth Vader. Darth Vader has managed to use the force to completely block explosions caused by Proton Torpedoes relatively fine. Considering the theory of an equal force equals an equal reaction, Vader would need Destructive Capability and Durability Comparable to the explosion caused by the Proton Torpedos since he managed to block it. Considering  Proton Torpedoes can damage Quasar Fire class carriers, which have survived attacks worth around 3-9 gigatons. This would put Darth Vader had around 3-9 Gigatons Destructive Capability and Durability. Scaling this to Obi Wan which is reasonable this would put his potential DC at 3-9 Gigatons which is Island Level. 
Kakashi while he hasn’t displayed that many Destructive Capability feats on his own due to Kakashi being a more quick and speedy fighter than an outright powerhouse (besides Susano but that’s not being included). We can certainly scale Kakashi to fighters who have displayed some impressive feats of Destructive Capability. Kakashi has fought Sasuke during his Hebi phase and was shown to be more than capable of matching him and likely could have beaten him. Considering that this version of Sasuke once  busted an entire mountain which ultimately came to  600 megatons of TNT which should put Kakashi at the very least at Mountain Level+. While Kakashi scales to a Multi-Contient Level feat - this was only with Perfect Susanoo which Kakashi will not have in the fight. So that puts Kakashi’s Destructive Capability at Mountain Level.
While this is certainty close since 3-5 Gigatons is Large Mountain to Island Level and Kakashi is generally considered to be Mountain Level - this would keep Obi Wan the slight advantage. 
So let’s talk speed, luckily for this one we don’t have to scale nearly as much as both have displayed some impressive speed feats.
Starting with Obi-Wan, Obi-Wan once reacted to and blocked laser beams (and yes these are laser beams)  Blocked legitimate laser beams - considering that Laser Beams move the speed of light that would put Obi-Wan’s Reaction Speed and Combat Speed at Relativistic speeds as shown by the link. Considering that his reaction/combat speed scale to his moveset speed this would put him at Relativistic Movement Speed. Obi Wan also has similar feats so this would likely not be an outlier as he reacted to Count Dooku’s lightning which was calced to be Mach 438.94, once piloted a ship “at a respectable fraction of lightspeed” which would put his reaction speed at  Mach 36,158.004 and has matched foes in speed that have operated near lightspeed such as the Magnaguards in Revenge of the Sith. Ultimately Obi-Wan’s speed would be put at Realvistic. 
In terms of Kakashi’s best speed feat, he once intercepted lightning at point-blank range which was calced to be  Mach 2225 which would put him in the Massively Hypersonic Range which is a two or three tiers lower than relativistic which Obi Wan would be put at. However, scaling from other characters - his speed gets a bit higher he kept up with Obito Uchiha, who’s capable of fighting on par with Kyuubi cloak Naruto. This version of Naruto was fast enough to outpace the Raikage’s fastest punch, which is stated to be near the speed of light. While this is too vague to really calc - it is indeed impressive. However if you scale him to Hebi Sasuke whom Kakashi fought - Speed becomes a lot closer. Hebi Sasuke  reacted and deflected a light speed sword slash which has been calced to be relativistic speeds. 
Ultimately Obi Wan has better shown speed feats while Kakashi scales to a feat that is extremely close to Obi Wan’s shown Speed Feat. Ultimately this category really can go either way though Obi Wan should be faster if only slightly. 
In terms of Durability, both fighters rely more on scale but Obi Wan has shown an impressive durability feat. He has tanked a force-push from Count Dooku which was fast enough to move in-tandem with spaceships. Count Dooku’s force push has been calced to be  1.00133602 megatons which should be around Mountain Level. 
As for Kakashi, he has tanked attacks from Mountain Busting Characters such as Sasuke as well as matched Obito in combat which would put his Durability at around Mountain Level
Ultimately in terms of stats I would say Obi Wanhas the slight edge in terms of DC and Durability.Obi Wan should be faster but the DC,Durability and Speed Differences are so small that it could go either way.
Now the stats are done, let's talk about abilities and techniques. First let’s just talk about the whole Genjutsu vs Mind Manipulation Powers. Yes both characters have abilities that can mentally control/manipulate a person. However, Genjutsu and Mind Manipulation could possibly counter each other out. It is stated in the Naruto series that skilled Genjutsu users like Kakashi can protect their mind against mental based attacks though it really depends on the skill of the user so it’s very possible that Obi Wan could read Kakashi’s mind or simply shut it off. Kakashi on the other hand might not have so much luck against Obi Wan in terms of mental attacks since Jedi are specifically trained in order to resist/block their minds off potential mental attacks. As such in terms of their mental abilities Obi Wan has the slight edge. 
Now let’s talk about weapons. It’s no secret that Obi Wan’s lightsaber absolutely tears through any and all equipment that Kakashi has. The Lightsaber has no problem cutting through reinforced steel so what are kunais,chains and a tanto going to do against it..not much. Obi Wan’s lightsaber completely counters all of Kakashi’s main weapons. 
As for arsenals, that’s a very different story as both are extremely versatile with their abilities though Kakashi is one of the most versatile Ninjas around - learning techniques from all of the main elemental chakra and having so many attacks for crowd control and 1 to 1 fighting. Kakashi can easily duplicate himself whilst in combat, he can trick Obi Wan by creating a substitution, he can go in with Taijutsu to beat Obi Wan up, he can use Kamui to completely negate all of Obi Wan’s potentially ranged attacks,etc. The fact of the matter is - Kakashi is simply a lot more versatile and generally has a much more destructive arsenal compared to Obi Wan who prefers the use of his Lightsaber rather than overusing his force powers. So ultimately in terms of arsenals Kakashi has him beat. 
So ultimately Obi Wan has the slight edge in DC,Durability and Speed but only slightly but Kakashi has his large arsenal. So who do i think will win this fight - despite Obi Wan taking it in stats, i think this is Kakashi’s match to win. The reason why i say this is that the Stat difference is so small (you could make an argument that Kakashi wins stats) that ultimately it’s going to come down to their arsenals and which one is going to counter the other - despite Obi Wan having the slight edge in stats - Kakashi’s extremely large arsenal of abilities and jutsus could counter most if not all things Obi Wan throws at him (even the force). Ultimately while the match is certainly close and i would not be surprised if DB goes with Obi Wan, i am slightly leaning towards Kakashi’s victory in this fight. Looks like Kakashi is going to ride lightning all the way to victory.
Well that’s my thoughts and opinions on the matchup, i hope you have enjoyed and i am really excited to see how Obi Wan vs Kakashi ultimately plays out.

Now with formalities out of the way let me begin by saying I’M SO FUCKING HYPED RN. THIS IS IN MY TOP 15 MOST WANTED FIGHTS AND MY DICK IS READY FOR GREATNESS! AND IT’S GONNA BE SFM???? HOLY SHIIIIIIIIIIIIT THIS IS GONNA BE AMAZING
Anyways fight is hype af. Also fucking great to see my favorite Star Wars and Naruto characters in.
To start off, let’s talk about their abilities and how they counter each other. Both have mind hax, but they likely won’t work on each other. Kakashi has resisted Genjutsu from Obito, who could Genjutsu cuck Yagura and Kurama. Mind fucking the former is very impressive as Jinchuriki can resist mind control. Resisting mind hax that potent makes me doubt Kock will be affected by The Force’s mind shit. That said, The Force protects Obi-Wan from any mental shenanigans, making Genjutsu moot. Both are also capable of reading each other’s minds, so that cancels out nicely.
Both have precognition, meaning they can anticipate each other’s attacks, so that also cancels out. Tutamanis can help Obi absorb energy based attacks, such as lightning or fire attacks from Kakashi. Kakashi can substitute out of attacks and situations to get a leg up. Obi-Wan’s telekinesis gives him solid control in the battlefield, but Kakashi’s summons and clones give him more options for it. Kenobi has the high ground, but Kakashi has the 1000 Years of Death technique. They’re abilities match and counter each other pretty damn well. That said, I think Kakashi has the edge in versatility. He has better options in the battlefield, and WAY more varied abilities. Kenobi could exploit Kakashi’s weaknesses with chakra reserves with shatterpoint, but they’ll be hard to exploit given Kakashi’s fighting style, where he doesn’t over exert himself and waste his Chakra. That said, I think Kenobi is more skilled and experienced overall. Both have trained their whole lives, but Kenobi is older than Kockashi by a far amount. He’s probably seen and dealt with way more dangerous stuff. His telekinesis gives him better ranged and defensive options in the battlefield as well.
Now for stats, Kakashi comfortably sits at 26 gigatons via Bijuu scaling. You could argue for him being in the teratons as well via Obito fighting on par with KCM2 Naruto, who can output small country levels of power, but that’s a bit iffy, so 26 gigatons is probably safer. In terms of speed, he scales above Sasuke’s 1.2c feat thanks to Obito fighting KCM Naruto, who should be better than Sasuke during that arc, and Kakashi even fought Sasuke in the same arc when he performed that feat. It’s called a flash of light and is even stated to be lightspeed in the databooks. This is also consistent with Raikage, one of the fastest ninja’s around, to be nearly lightspeed. KCM Naruto blitzing the fuck out of him gets 9.8 times the speed of light, though you could argue it’s an outlier. Still, Obito fought on par with KCM Naruto and Kakashi is equal to Obito, so I’d say relativistic+ - FTL Kakashi is fine.
Obi-Wan, with Canon, scales to Proton Torpedoes, which can output 3 gigatons of TNT via destroying mountains. In terms of speed, he’s dodged legitimate lasers, piloted a ship at a respectable fraction of lightspeed, and blitzed MagnaGuards who have near lightspeed reflexes. Grievous regularly spars with said MagnaGuards and Obi-Wan can block his attacks, even when moving 20 strikes per second, which would be FTL.
So Kock beats Canon via comparable speed, higher AP and durability, and more versatile abilities. Kamui is also a one shot option that can land, even with Obi’s precognition.
Legends is another story however. With Legends, Obi has WAAAAAY higher AP, via scaling to Starkiller’s 43 teraton feat. And this is 43 teratons per second, the whole feat was 15 seconds, so it’s 645 teratons of TNT overall. Consistent with the Kinro feat, which gets 50 teratons per Jedi, but the feat is a bit vague since it could’ve been destroyed overtime. Obi can also scale to Malak, who can output 1.5 exatons of TNT. He can even scale to Darth Bane, who can nudge fucking planets with a moon, putting him solidly at moon-small planet levels of power. In terms of speed, Obi-Wan can deflect a barrage of blaster bolts, which move at light speed in Legends, and can even deflect 3 of them in a nanosecond, which is FTL perception and reaction timing. These give him the stat advantage pretty clearly.
Also no, I don’t buy the Yarael Poof “feat”. It’s not because he died when he did it, he was fatally wounded after all. My issue is that we’re assuming he contained the energy of the blast when there’s quite frankly 0 proof of it. Hell, they even said he defused it. It may as well just be a plain outlier since a high tier Sith Lord could only perform a petaton feat after centuries of prep time.
With Legends, things aren’t looking good for Kakashi, as he’s at a major stat disadvantage. Sure, Kamui is still a one shot option, but Kenobi’s win con is just way easier to pull off, which is just hitting him once.
That said, this is where the verdict lies. Kock beats Canon, Legends beats Cock. We don’t know to what extent DB is using Legends, but honestly, ignoring such a huge part of SW continuity like Legends just isn’t like DB. Even Canon with some Legends feats would be enough to give Kenobi the win, as he would be higher into island, and even get up to country level. Add that with his various counters to most of Kock’s abilities, and he has a good chance of taking the dub, at least when taking Legends into account, which I believe DB should include.
Both Kakashi and Obi-Wan are beloved and incredibly powerful characters, and while it sucks to say this since I was the one of the biggest advocates for Kakashi, and his skill, more versatile range of abilities, better stats against Canon, and Kamui could give him the win in some scenarios, I believe Obi-Wan Kenobi will win thanks to better stats when taking Legends into account, which I believe DB should and will do, effective counters to most of Cockashi’s arsenal, potent telekinesis, and overall being more experienced. It will no doubt be a hard fought battle, but Obi-Wan will show Kakashi that he’s a Force to be reckoned.

Another day, and that means another prediction blog. But first, here’s the obligatory:


Yeah, I know so far we’ve assaulted you with Prequel memes. I get them because I’ve been exposed so damn much, but the only Star Wars movie I’ve watched is Force Awakens, so I’m not such a fan like some others on this blog.
I’ve also never even watched a full episode of Naruto. I don’t follow either franchise. So you’d probably be surprised to know I really wanted this fight. Why? Because their powers are just so damn awesome and they go great together. Can’t help it, ninjas fighting space wizards? Awesome.

Wish fulfillment at its finest, first Booster wins and Obi vs Kakashi drops May 4th? Sick. 
Oh yeah, Cable vs Booster Gold. I guess you could say this was a golden episode. Bad jokes aside, this is honestly my favorite of the season. The pacing was pretty off, but everything else just fit into place for me. It doesn’t have the sheer action of Goro vs Machamp or the aesthetic of Leo vs Jason, but I think it outdoes them in overall presentation. And Days of Booster Past? Whew boy. 
But enough about the past, let’s talk about the future. Damn, that would’ve made a good segue for last blog-
Let’s get predicting. So, Star Wars for the first time in around 5 years. About damn time for a modern analysis. This is the 3rd Naruto fight in less than a year, but Naruto fights typically get a lot of effort, and they are consistently great episodes. If not for Gaara vs Toph, I’d say every Naruto episode was stellar. And props to those who called it, since this one’s gonna be 3D by the SFM team, who did great work on Ganondorf vs Dracula. Research team has hyped this one up quite a bit, but I’m not getting my hopes up since I was opposed to this fight being in this style. We’ll see.
So, looking forward to this and all that, but which mentor will walk out victorious? Well, an important thing to note is how Legends will be used. We don’t know. It’s being kept vague. That’s because of the complaints about Booster beating Cable, but it’s all good. If they do fully embrace Legends, I don’t think Kakashi has a chance in hell.
But for the sake of a fun debate, let’s assume Disney canon with a weird amalgamation of Legends feats that support it. Does Obi still win?

Well, Kakashi obviously has a HUGE arsenal, one much more varied than Obi’s. And if he manages to land Kamui, it’s an automatic win. But these two actually counter each other a lot.
Both have mindhax that the other resists.
Both have precognition.
Both are expert strategists with a lot of experience.
Both have easy win conditions if they land a good hit. Kamui and Force shenanigans.
That said, while Obi won’t be able to mind control Kakashi, there’s no reason he shouldn’t be able to read his mind and learn about his giant arsenal. Most substantial would be Kamui. If he knew about that and Kakashi tried it, he could just Force pull out his eye or push him so he loses his concentration if you wanna lose the brutality. So that’s a HUGE edge, knowing everything he needs to know about his opponent. Kakashi’s adaptable as hell, though Obi can just probe his brain again to adapt in response. Kakashi’s best bet would be to remove information from his mind, but to do so in the midst of combat would be foolish.
It’d be so easy to say Obi ragdolls Kakashi with telekinesis from the start, but Obi’s moral code forbids that. Remember, as specifically stated in the rules, killing restraint is removed but every other personality aspect is kept, like how Batman doesn’t use guns but will still hang Captain America.
Lightsabers absolutely cut through Kakashi’s large but primitive assortment of weaponry. Force senses allow Obi to deal with Shadow Clones. Substitution Jutsu can escape Obi’s sight
With all their skill and abilities seemingly matched, this fight really comes down to the numbers. And I think this is where one character really starts to have the edge.
In terms of strength, Kakashi’s solidly at 26 gigatons, while canon Obi is only at 5 gigatons. With a 5x difference, Kakashi totally one-shots, right? Well, there’s more to it than that. Remember, Legends feats that are consistent with canon will be used. There is teraton scaling for canon, but it’s super inconsistent until you bring in Legends, where that kind of power and above is everywhere. So, believe it or not, Obi’s got the edge here. They’ve done similar stuff regarding varying continuities before, even if one continuity had something really iffy. 
Speed is a close call. Both easily scale above relativistic speeds, and even higher. Speed feats in the Legends continuity are not too inconsistent with speed feats in canon, however, so Obi should be faster than Kakashi in this case, though it’s absolutely not a blitzing of any kind. Even the canon non-Legends novels have FTL shit.
So a few times FTL vs slightly above lightspeed. Not too bad. Granted, Kakashi could be argued several times faster than light, but it’s based off of arguably hyperbolic databook statements that make the Naruto verse much faster than usual.
Durability’s pretty much a repeat of strength. Scaling back to AP, taking on foes comparable to them, yada yada.
Obi-Wan Kenobi’s got the stat trinity by a great margin, giving him exactly what he needs for a victory. He’ll know exactly what Kakashi’s capable of, and will have the tactics and planning to counter it. Kamui will be the shinobi’s best bet, but it’s less likely than Obi’s much simpler win conditions and it’ll be an expected move.
Kakashi’s huge arsenal and copy cat style keep him in the fight, but this Jedi’s power, speed, tactical experience, and abilities put him ahead. Obi-Wan Kenobi’s gonna Force his way to a victory.
That wraps up episode 8, and only two more blogs to go before the break (when we release dem special mid-season blogs). We know we’ve got one more sprite fight incoming and it’s one that’s special to Luis, so I’m hella interested.
Anyone else notice all these series coming back after a long hiatus to get actually modernized research? Spider-Man, TMNT, Iron Man, Fairy Tail, Pokemon, and now Star Wars. It’s quite the blessing, really. Okay, that’s it for now. Clockboxxer out.

                Star Wars? Now that’s a name I’ve not heard in Death Battle in a long time

Getting this out of the way, both Goro and Machamp and Cable vs Booster were fucking stellar eps. Funny thing was I had low expectations for both. I don’t like the MU for the former and the latter I knew jack and shit about either combatant. But now we get into the main event, the moment I’ve been for.
                                                   
General motherfucking Kenobi in Death Battle
This certainly is a very intriguing matchup. Both Kenobi and Kakashi have a ton of options, and ways to counter each other. In terms of fairness here, imma give Kenobi Legends, imo there’s no reason he shouldn’t have this shit. That being said, Kakashi’s arsenal is huge, like, fucking massive, and since he’s a Naruto character you know he has a fuckton of hax that can possibly throw Obi-wan for a loop. So let’s take this one step at a time

First off there’s AP/Durability. Disney Star Wars clocks out at a measly 6 gigatons, while Kakashi gets to 26. So this seems rather clear cut in Kakashi’s favor, right? Well you would be, if we weren’t giving Kenobi Legends. On the lower ends of the spectrum you have Dooku’s Force Push being way more potent due to starship shenanigans, as well as random shit like Anakin manhandling a flying fortress and containing a dust storm (fuck sand), Kenobi lifting a few bigass rock structures or uprooting 3 bigass trees while hanging onto a ship for dear life. Higher end? You got shit like the debatable Infant of Shaa from Yarael “Let’s put that one to a vote, because I don’t even know what that means!” Poof, Darth Bane nudging a planet with a moon, or Grievous point blank tanking an explosion chain that engulfed an underground city and nearly decimated a planet’s surface. Now, the exact details of this feat are shaky but I wanna take a look at it. So, it’s an explosion, or a cluster of them that, while underground, managed to threaten the planet itself. Let’s assume that this means that it simply shook the planet or was felt all across that. A quick calculation gives that an output of around 3-4 petatons. Which is uh, quite a damn lot. Keep in mind this may or may not actually be Disney as well. The events of the comic this originates from have been referenced in Disney Star Wars before, though loosely. Not to mention Kenobi once survived extended torture for weeks, possibly months, at Ventress’ hand while being forced to wear a Force supressing mask, and you have Kenobi as someone who can take a fuckton of punishment.

Moving on we have Speed, and once again, Kenobi proves to have the advantage here. While Kakashi’s lightning cutting and potential FTL scaling are impressive, Kenobi boasts a ton of light speed, to FTL reaction times, the greatest being his nanosecond timing. What’s even better for Kenobi is he defeated Durge, who claims all Jedi move in slow motion to him. So in essence, Kenobi defeated an opponent faster than him who saw him as being in slow motion. Even if they were even in speed, Kenobi would still have the advantage here due to Durge’s tomfuckery.

Finally, and this is the clencher, hax. At first glance, Kakashi seems to hold every advantage here, his shadow clones let him overwhelm, he has a lot of varied techniques, his Sharingan is...well...a Sharingan, and to top it all off he has Kamui which has the potential to one-shot.

So Kakashi has hax down right? Well he would if not for one thing.

The Force gives Kenobi the exact tools he needs to counter a large amount of Kakashi’s arsenal.

First off, Kakashi’s preference for Chidori and lightning attacks are all for naught, as both through his lightsaber and Tutuminis, Kenobi can render himself practically immune to any of that. The Sharingan and Kakashi’s Genjustsu should also prove ineffective here, as mental barriers are fucking everywhere in Star Wars, and Kenobi’s defensive nature likely renders his mind difficult to tap into, much less fuck with, especially given his speed advantage, which lets him probe Kakashi’s mind faster, adapt faster, and overall maintain control over the fight. As for Kamui, Kenobi’s speed advantage and his own capabilities in terms of mind reading render Kakashi’s chances of actually landing it off to be slim. Shadow Clones? Kenobi’s been overwhelmed by opponents with large arsenals or being attacked from several angles at once, such as with Durge, Grievous, or the literal scores of Battle Droids he’s cut his way through. And the Force should be able to sense which Kakashi is the ‘real’ one, and focus him down.

Even assuming Kakashi catches on and tries to adapt, which given the speed advantage isn’t likely, his Chakra resources can only keep Kenobi at bay for so long, and Shatterpoint can worsen this effect, possibly even worsening the Sharingan’s effects even if Kakashi wises up and stops using it.

And assuming after all this, Kakashi manages to score a fatal blow, it’s still not over, as Kenobi can persist as a Force Ghost. Crazy as it may seem, Force Ghosts actually CAN fight, we’ve seen Yoda in Disney Canon, and Old Ben himself in Force Unleashed, interact with the physical world, and even have a good ol’ fashioned duel as spirits.

So in the end, Kenobi’s stat advantages, uses of the Force as a defensive tool  to cancel out or at least lessen the impact of most of Kakashi’s arsenal, and frankly absurd speed all seal Kakashi’s fate against the Jedi Master.

Kenobi has another happy victory under his belt, while Kakashi shouldn’t try it, because Obi-Wan has the high ground, and we all know what that means.

It was a good thing I recently got into Star Wars. I love me some Obi-Wan and I love me some Kakashi. I also love me this match because it’s pretty fun. But who comes out on top? Well, obviously Obi-Wan, since he always has the High Ground. And everyone knows if you have the high ground you automatically win.
Memes aside, let’s get into analyzing this battle. So since they’re using Legends stuff for Obi-Wan, and Kakashi’s not getting Susanoo, Obi-Wan’s got the stat lockdown. Kakashi’s definitely more versatile with how many techniques he has, but not all of them can really help him against Obi-Wan. 
But there is one definite way Kakashi can win.


It’s every emo kid’s favorite pair of eye contacts, though Kakashi’s only getting one for this fight. Anyways, yeah. Kamui (the technique, not Corrin’s Japanese name) can definitely one-shot Obi-Wan, so the question comes down to if Kakashi can Kamui Obi-Wan before Obi-Wan kills him.
Short answer: No. Obi-Wan being comparable or faster in speed, along with his precognition, means there’s barely a chance Kamui’s gonna be a huge game changer.
The shorter short answer: Kakashi didn’t have the high ground.

That’s fucking right. Kenobi can easily turn Kakashi’s most devastating technique against him.
It doesn’t matter what kind of power you have, If Obi-Wan fucking Kenobi has the high ground you either surrender or suffer the consequences.
For as impressive as Kakashi is, he just Hatakan’t take on Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Well, well, well, it’s been a while. Before we get started, here’s the obligatory “Hello there” Obi-Wan gif that everyone else seems to be doing.


Now with that out of the way, let’s get started. So, after all this time, we finally get another character from the Star Wars franchise. Also, it’s apparently been 5 years since Darth Vader vs Dr. Doom. I feel old now. Well to cure my sudden depression, we have another Naruto character in Death Battle. This time it’s Kakashi, who was one of the characters I was expecting to appear next from the franchise since we already had Naruto, Sasuke, and Might Guy. I’ve been kind of interested in this match ever since Swan introduced it as a Community Death Battle back when he was part of the server. Now it’s the next official Death Battle episode with him as the writer. Additionally, it’s going to be done by the SFM team who did Ganon vs Dracula, which makes the fight even more hype. Anyway, let’s get started on the analysis shall we?
At the time of this writing, we don’t have any confirmation on how Legends (Star Wars’ original canon before Disney bought the franchise and created a new canon) will be used in this fight. This is a bit concerning because how Legends is going to be implemented into the new episode of Death Battle will affect the outcome of this match-up. With Legends, Obi-Wan wins. Without it, Kakashi will win.
Alright, let’s look at their strength and power. For Kakashi, he’s able to scale to other characters who are superior to weaker Bijuu, or Tailed Beasts. These Bijuu were able to create massive explosions calculated at 26 gigatons, which is considered to be an island-level feat. Obi-Wan’s best strength feat in the Disney canon is scaling to Darth Vader, who can block explosions from proton torpedoes that can cause damage worth 3 to 9 gigatons. In the Legends canon, Obi-Wan’s best feat is being comparable to Darth Bane, who “nudged a planet with a moon.” Other than that, there’s a country-level feat that Obi-Wan supposedly scales to.
In terms of speed, both are around the same level. Kakashi should now be superior to Sasuke from the 5 Kage Summit Arc, who dodged an attack at 1.2 times the speed of light. In the Disney canon, Obi-Wan possesses relativistic speed by blocking lasers and being comparable to other characters with relativistic speed feats. In Legends canon, Obi-Wan reacted to a blaster in a nanosecond. As a result, both are in the same ballpark.
Lastly, there’s durability. Kakashi has survived getting hit with Pain’s signature jutsu, Shinra Tensei (Almighty Push), and the leader of the Akatsuki has been shown to be at mountain-level. As for Obi-Wan, in the Disney Canon, he took a force-push from Count Dooku that was fast enough to move in-tandem with spaceships, resulting in 1 megaton. In the Legends canon though, Obi-Wan survived getting shot by a starfighter and remained conscious afterwards.
But enough with their stats. Let’s look at their abilities. The Force vs Chakra. Each combatant can perform special abilities based on them. But how well will those techniques work on each other? For one thing, neither combatant can affect each other’s mind. Therefore, we can’t expect the Jedi Mind Trick and Genjutsu to be a solid factor in the fight. Both also possess mind reading abilities and precognition, so we can’t expect those to become deciding factors either. Other than those counters, each have their own way of winning.
For Obi-Wan, he can absorb energy with Tutamanis, nullify Kakashi’s stealth with Force Sense, keep himself hidden with Force Stealth, heal himself with Force Heal, boost his speed with Force Speed, keep himself immovable, control beasts, use telekinesis, and exploit people’s weaknesses with Shatterpoint. As for Kakashi, he can add more numbers to his side with Shadow Clones and his ninja hounds, possess many elemental jutsus, evade deadly hits with substitution, and bypass durability with the Kamui. Let’s not forget their weapons as well. Obi-Wan has his trusty lightsaber, blaster, and armor while Kakashi possesses numerous weapons such as kunai, shurikens, swords, makibishi, kusarigama, and smoke bombs. So based on these weapons and abilities, who has the advantage?
To me, that would be Obi-Wan. For once thing, Kakashi’s elemental jutsus will be rendered useless since Obi-Wan can absorb them with Tutamanis. Additionally, Kakashi’s metal weapons won’t be a problem for the Jedi since he can just cut them down to pieces with his lightsaber or deflect them with telekinesis. Kakakshi’s smoke bomb won’t be much help either since Obi-Wan can just sense his presence. Furthermore, the Jedi himself can use it to help himself instead with Force Stealth. While Kakashi can sense other shinobi, that’s only because of their chakra which Obi-Wan doesn’t have. It doesn’t help that Obi-Wan can potentially mind control Kakashi’s ninja hounds to attack the shinobi instead. And any damage done to the Jedi can be healed with Force Healing.
Kakashi’s best techniques leftover are the Shadow Clone Jutsu, the Substitution Jutsu, and Kamui. However, they each share a common drawback: Kakashi supply is limited. While Kakashi can use these techniques to keep himself out of Death’s door and potentially harm Obi-Wan, the shinobi can’t spam them without risking exhaustion. In fact, using the Shadow Clone jutsu will only split up Kakashi’s total chakra amount among the clones. And unfortunately for him, Obi-Wan doesn’t share that weakness with the Force. In fact, Obi-Wan can potentially counter Kamui, which is considered Kakashi’s best choice to win. First, Obi-Wan can increase his speed with Force Speed, making it harder for Kakashi to focus Kamui on the Jedi. Second, there’s Shatterpoint, which allows a Force user to exploit an opponent’s weak points. Arguably, Kakashi’s weak point would be his scar we lost his previous lost eye. It’s possible that Obi-Wan can reopen that wound and make it even worse, effectively stopping Kakashi from using his Sharingan.
Overall, it’s unknown exactly how much Death Battle will incorporate Legends for Obi-Wan, so I can’t really make a good judgement call based on their stats. However, based on their abilities alone, I believe the fight will be Obi-Won by General Kenobi as he’s going to Force Kakashi into an early grave.

After doing the research of Gray Vs. Esdeath, I basically continued on college and doing my courses. Nothing has changed, but the moment I saw that Obi-Wan Vs. Kakashi was finally the next Death Battle, I had to jump on board of the research. High Ground. I always wanted to see this fight ever since the Community Death Battle because of how the connection and matchup was on point, and truly a fight ALL of us wanted to see. It is even more amazing with the same animators who did Ganon Vs. Dracula (DevilArtemis. Daitomodachi, and Doovad Hohdan) returned in making this special fight on May The 4th. 
As much as I wanted to go in all depth like my last two predictions, this fight would be tiring and mostly all of have gone all out on depth for this fight. Highground. To make up time, I am basically going to drop my orinigal post I made from the past and update them to make a quick summary.
Let’s start right away by showing my orinigal prediction of Obi-Wan Vs. Kakashi

Now:  For Me, the winner to me was basically based on Stats, Experience, and The battle between using the Force and Chakra. I still feel most of my answers are the same like how Obi-Wan being faster thanks to the force he can slow down time (Jedi Quest #9: The False Peace), move FTE, and can use Force Sense to sense danger in a nanosecond. But, Legends has proven to be truly underrated in how powerful Star Wars characters can truly become. While I gave the stats before a tie, I am going to give it to Obi-Wan as most of Legends truly goes off the charts. While some of the feats like Bane I question, Vader has survived some crazy things in the series. While the round would originally go to Obi-Wan, the problem is the extended universe can sometimes be questionable on the stories… and Disney ruining the series while also debunking Legends. Stats can go either way, but for me I give it to Obi-Wan based on some of his feats in legends matching what the movies and cartoons shown. Experience I think is a tie due to both having shown their years of being in the battle. While Obi-Wan did have more experience with more battles, he actually did not become a leader until he became a Jedi Master, and he was in Tatooine the whole time after Order 66 was given. Kakashi matches up in his own experiences surprisingly well, close to what Obi-Wan has seen. However, the main deciding factor has to be the overall control between Chakra and the Force. Charka is very powerful in its own right and truly has more variety in balancing weaponry to both the body and mind. From making your combat skills more fierce to warping space like the Kamui, Charka is truly a dangerous ability to master. The biggest downside to me is that despite Kakashi having more variety and possible one-shot moves, it truly costs him his staima. Chakra heavily relies on the user’s body and soul, which truly has a limit and Kakashi is known for having his stamina drained easily. The force, however, is a different story. Obi-Wan is truly one of the best users of the Force, and the power to it is indeed strong. Not only can he use his mind and body to increase his senses and stats, but he can also control the environment of his surroundings. He can see the future and predict opponent attacks with precognition, use Shatterpoint to exploit weaknesses, use Force Cloak to make him invisible to the naked eye, Force Stealth, use force heal, and the list goes on. Obi-Wan just has better control of the force than what Kakashi has with his Chakra. The worst part for Kakashi to add, Obi-Wan is much faster to perform his Force techniques, meaning that Kakashi might not have enough time to use his one-shot Kamui. 
Summary: Since a year has passed since the Community Death Battle, my prediction still stands despite some major changes in my view. Obi-Wan just has a higher chance of winning to me because of how the force makes him much better in control, his stats more stronger, and abilities more effective against Kakashi. Kakashi does have some chance of winning, but they are very slim due to Kenobi predicting and countering almost all of what he has to give. In the end, Kakashi could not mask above Kenobi nor the HighGround. The Winner is Obi-Wan Kenobi. 
I hope everyone enjoys my prediction as well as the whole blog as this one was special to me. Obi-Wan is one of my all-time favorite characters that inspired me to be creative, and I am excited to finally see him in a Death Battle against the best Naurato character. I do love Kakashi as well with his hidden masks, but Kenobi was my childhood that got me into Star Wars in the first place. Despite some bad things happening in the week like Naughty Dog being exposed as scumbags thanks to the leaks of Last of Us Part 2 and Disney attempt of ruining May the 4th, this is the fight that I am happy to see in the end that I look forward to the most. This is truly the most hyped fight of the year, and I can not wait to see it. Stay awesome everyone, highground.

To think that you could step into the arena of Death Battle and walk away unscathed. Your force powers should be screaming at you that this is a bad idea.


...Moving on.
Well, here we are again, folks. Time for another Death Battle and the timing for this one could not be better. May the 4th be with you all. 
I’ll be honest with you all, when I first heard about this matchup, I thought Kakashi was going to clap Obi-Wan so hard, he’d be picking up his teeth with the force. Turns out that Old Ben is far more powerful than I ever gave him credit for. And this is coming from the guy that marathoned the entire Naruto manga on his first read blind in about 2 weeks. (NOTE: That was before Naruto vs Ichigo was officially announced mind)
But is it enough to handle Kakashi? Well, judging from our current feats using only canon: No. Even with his best speed feat available--not counting fighting near FTL robots since we can easily scale Kakashi to similar speeds--Obi wan is about 5 times slower than Kakashi who, scaling to Sasuke is 20% faster than the speed of light. Additionally, without Legends, Kakashi is 5 times stronger and more durable since AP scales to dura. Even if Obi-wan is faster, speed did not help Gray at all and Kakashi’s strength and speed advantage by a x5 factor should give him the edge.
But that’s just canon, what about Legends? Well, it’s dubious right now if the higher-tier feats for Legends will be used so I have to base my verdict around what is currently accepted and being used on the blog and right now that’s almost entirely canon feats. And, with all the data we have collected as a community, it seems like Obi-wan is gonna get fingers shoved up his asshole. 
5x strength and durability is a pretty wide gap. And Obi-wan doesn’t have the reserves to whittle down Kakashi’s Chakra when, with that gap, at any time, Kakashi can just Chidori him to the face and that’s the end of that. Also, even if Obi-wan ends up being faster, Kakashi is the only one of the two of them that has an instant-win move that Obi-wan has 0 defense against if it lands.
And borrowing from what Mal said, Kakashi has a wider, more varied arsenal. Additionally, the Sharingan will let Kakashi copy Obi-wan’s lightsaber combat skills which he could use against Obi-wan via his chakra saber. So unless Obi-wan’s strength and speed advantage thanks to legends ends up supremely significant, it won’t be nearly enough that Kakashi can’t somehow outmaneuver him and get the one BFR shot he needs to use the Kamui on Obi-wan. Hell, he doesn’t even need to go for the entire BFR, just aim for the head.

Anyway, Kenobi may have the high ground, but Kakashi has the strength, durability and very versatile arsenal to put the very quotable Jedi in the dirt. The star of this war won’t be seizing victory from the high ground. He will be kunaiving his way towards a shocking and sureiken victory. The winner will be Kakashi Hatake.

Anyways, this match is cool. Both characters are neat and it has a lot of animation potential. As for who wins, I figured that since this is Star Wars, I should probably preface the stats I’m about to give Kenobi.
Star Wars is definitely one of the more contentious series in VS stats wise, with both canon and Legends ranging anywhere from peak human to planet level. There’s a rather big dichotomy between how Jedi are presented in a lot of media and some of the stats people give them. In the movies and cartoons and comics and such, Jedi are presented as being more grounded, with not too many crazy impressive feats comparatively. They struggle with lifting airships and rocks. Meanwhile, there are a bunch of calcs that place Jedi at town level and above, way above how they’re usually presented and what most authors were likely intending for their strength. That, of course, begs the question of if we should even use high-ends if there are a higher quantity of low-end feats and limits for these characters that line up better with what the author intended. There’s no real one solid answer to that question. My take on it, though, is that ultimately if there are multiple of these high-end feats, we can’t really just ignore them. Characters aren’t graphs, where you can just place all of their feats from weakest to strongest and break them down into quartiles and use whatever tier is the average. They’re malleable, inconsistencies are inevitable. Higher end feats are in my eyes going to be a better representation of how strong the character ‘truly’ is at their peak. Spider-Man has countless showings of getting hit by debris or hurt by electric fences and the like, but his high ends of taking huge explosions and moving at crazy quick speeds are, from a narrative perspective, how strong he really is when he’s going all out. Fiction is, after all, a narrative, not a science, which I’m aware is ironic with literally calcing feats from fiction. That’s also getting into the distinction between the narrative and the author, which some could see as arbitrary. Much like characters, author intent itself is malleable. Even as the work is being created, it’s not defined completely, and is always going to change over time. From my perspective, once the work is created, for the most part it becomes a separate entity from the author, connected but ultimately taking precedence over something as intangible as intent. That’s not to say intent can’t be used, of course, but I feel if the fiction itself has multiple feats of a character being above what the author envisioned for them, the work must take priority. That applies to Star Wars especially, which has had countless writers each with their own intent for the character, to the point where each writer’s interpretation of Kenobi could be considered their own character. That’s getting into a wider argument about the nature of fiction and there’s plenty of things I haven’t addressed, but for the sake of brevity and relevancy, Kenobi’s high end feats I feel should ultimately take priority over the rest in general.
With that only semi-related tangent out of the way, to actually talk about the matchup, it mainly comes down to the distinction between canon Kenobi and Legends Kenobi. Kakashi is easier, as with his standard arsenal and power, he comes out to about 26 gigatons scaling to a bijuu bomb. I’ve seen some contention over this, but I’m not exactly a Naruto expert and the scaling seems to make enough sense to me, so I’ll go with it for now. Speed for him is a bit tricker, he at the very least scales to a few quadruple digit mach feats in the series, but using databooks, he can keep up with characters who can dodge attacks stated to be lightspeed. Just based on what I’ve seen of all this, I’m kinda iffy on taking these statements at face value, especially from something like a databook, but again, I’ll go with it for now. That gives you a 26 gigaton roughly lightspeed Kakashi. Canon Kenobi, at the least, can't really match that. The highest he can get power wise is a few gigatons, scaling to Vader blocking proton torpedoes which can damage ships with that level of durability. Even that’s kinda dubious, cause it’s unclear if Vader even blocked the torpedoes rather than just deflecting them, but it wouldn’t really matter either way. Kakashi is at least 10x stronger just with the numbers we have, and even if Vader's feat was casual, that’s a big hurdle for Kenobi. It doesn’t help that he’s not any faster either. He has a few laser blocking feats, and the prequel novelisations (which are, for the most part, canon) have plenty of lightspeed statements, which might be enough to compensate for the strength gap if we were to limit Kakashi to only quad mach feats, but it would only make him equal in speed if we give Kakashi databook stuff. Note that you could theoretically argue for Kenobi being stronger through stuff like the Kinro feat and earthquakes, but these are all for the most part too vague and unclear for me to be comfortable with using at all.
Kenobi’s abilities can’t really save him either. His precog is likely better since it’s not based on movement, Force Speed allows him to outmatch Kakashi in speed, and Tutamanis allow him to absorb some of Kakashi’s attacks, alongside some other miscellaneous abilities, but in general he can only keep it up for so long against an opponent who’s just stronger than him. Kakashi can resist his mind tricks, and shadow clones means he can just mob Kenobi and kill him quickly. Sure, Kenobi’s fighting style is all about draining stamina, which is a notable problem for Kakashi, but the latter is more than smart enough to realise if Kenobi is trying to stall him out, and has options for ending the fight instantly. Stuff like Kamui is gonna one-shot Kenobi, and while precog likely helps to avoid that, it’s an instant win if Kakashi manages to land it. Kakashi can pretty much do most of what Kenobi can do. Kenobi has a history of defeating opponents stronger than him through his strategy, but Kakashi can keep up with Kenobi’s analytical mind unlike most of his other foes, and Kenobi still fights like an honourable Jedi. He wouldn’t use something like Shatterpoint to exploit Kakashi’s eye when that’s so unlike him, and the few times he has used Shatterpoint, it was simply to reveal flaws in the opponent’s defense.
With Legends, however, it becomes a different (and simpler) story. At that point, Kenobi can at the very least scale to feats in the country busting range and above, such as Starkiller charging the Star Forge and breaking through the defenses of a Star Destroyer, alongside stuff like Darth Bane nudging moons (might need to check the context on that though). A lot of the higher end Legends feats people like to use, like the Darth Bane ritual which didn’t actually destroy a planet’s surface, the Infant of Shaa, and the Sith sorceress corrupting a planet overtime are kinda illegitimate, but it doesn’t matter as Kenobi would be far stronger either way, enough to one shot Kakashi with any hit. Legends also has feats of nanosecond timing and such, which would give Kenobi a slight speed edge on top of his strength advantage. Makes you wonder how Hyperspace works if you need to go FTL to enter it. Kamui could still theoretically one-shot, but precog becomes a lot more useful, and overall Kenobi only needs to land any hit whatsoever to win, which is a far more reliable means of victory.
So, for a conclusive verdict, I’d have to go with Kenobi. We know Legends feats are being used to some capacity from the preview, and given how DB generally handles things, it’s likely they’ll use feats from Legends which support canon. With that, Kenobi still has a speed edge, and he’s still likely stronger since Legends also has feats higher into the gigatons range than Kakashi which Kenobi could scale too. At that point, his victory conditions are a lot more reliable than what Kakashi has, and he’s just too strong and quick for Kakashi to take the win more often than not.

Jedi Bender 
I’m very excited for this fight as I’ve wanted to see both Obi Wan and Kakashi in DB for years mainly the former (obviously i'm an Obi Wan fan and expect)  so now that's happening I’m super pumped but nervous. 
But let’s get to my prediction. Previously I had feared we would have a stomp on our hands however after going back and researching Naruto MAN  Kakashi is just as badass as I remember... 
Both of these two are going to work for the V they almost match each other blow for blow  most of their attacks will do some serious damage to one another  however I’m still staying with my Boi Kenobi the force does counter most of Kakashi techniques will keep Obi Wan on his toes 
But Kenobi will be able to hang in there why? Well aside from his greater experience in combat and wars, imminently to Sharingan Genjutsu, as well as The High Ground technique aka Soken. 
But what this fight comes down to is Speed and Stamina with the former Obi-Wan can not only keep up with Kakashi but potentially surpass him with not only Force Speed but he has constantly dodging Laser Fire since age 14 and blocking up to 20 strikes per sec from General Grievous.  
However Stamina wise is where his biggest strength lies with Form 3 specializes in keeping your  energies in reserve and waiting the enemies out till they either tire or make a mistake by leaving themselves open to an attack  now yes we don’t know if Legends will be used or to what capacity.  
But like I said Kakashi is going to give Obi a hard fight. Still, Kenobi is both a FUCKING TANK and the living inbodyment of the phrase “adapting to needs of the moment”.
In the end, Kenobi will have The High Ground

First of all, first blog yay. Second of all, HOLY SHIT AIUVAYGNEHATYJDJAFYKU OMWYWANFFNWFVIAWMAWBUYNCNBIWBAWBCMWABICBIW IT’S FINALLY HAPPENING WE GETTING ANOTHER STAR WARS REP AND IT’S GONNA BE SFM AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. So if you can’t tell, super pumped for this fight to be happening. Heads up that I still haven’t watched Naruto so I’m kinda going off solely what exists here. So uh anyways actual verdicts.
Looking at both of their abilities, Kenobi and Kakashi’s respective mind abilities likely won’t work on eachother since they both have strong resistances to that sort of thing, and both should be able to read each other's mind. Kakashi’s various elemental abilities would give Kenobi some trouble, but it shouldn’t be anything the Jedi Master can’t deal with, though Kenobi should be able to deal with Kakashi’s various lightning techniques, seeing as how Tutamanis and Lightsabers can easily deal with similar attacks. Both have precognition and loads of experience in fighting and commanding wars. However, Kakashi’s ace in the hole is Kamui, something no version of Kenobi can actually deal with. Though since Kenobi can read Kakashi’s mind, it’s feasible he can learn about it and fight around it. Either way, Kamui is a major threat to Kenobi.
So a lot of counters in the hax department. How do the stats stack up? 
If you go strictly by Canon exclusive feats, Kenobi dies. While you can maybe argue AP/Dura based off the Kinro comet feat, you can just as easily dismiss it as an outlier or too vague. Even then, he doesn’t have the speed to keep up and just gets Kamui’d.
Canon with consistent Legends feats/Legends exclusive feats is where it starts getting interesting. There are loads of Relativistic+/FTL feats and statements throughout various books and novelizations, so speed should now be at least in the same general area to the point where neither blitz, if not in Kenobi’s favor by a bit. But what good is speed if you don’t have the AP/Dura to keep up? Well, even though we’ve discussed how Yarael Poof’s Infant of Shaa feat likely isn’t legit, there are still at least Country level feats from the likes of Starkiller's clone and Darth Malak that Kenobi should easily be able to scale to. Yes, Kamui still is a one-shot, but it’s one move that insta-kills against (checks notes) basically all of Kenobi’s moves being insta-kills thanks to that high of an AP gap.
So what continuity are we going with then? The last time we had a Star Wars episode was before the sequel movies even got released (Man it really has been a while hasn’t it), but it just isn’t in Death Battle’s style to ignore so much material, Canon or not, so I can see them at least doing Canon with some Legends feats, given their tendency to do similar with other verses, and it’s not really like them to just blow off 40-ish years of material.
This has definitely been a fascinating episode to discuss and research. But in the end, Obi-Wan Kenobi should have what it takes to force himself a victory, leaving him the last Wan standing.
Though it should be obvious that Kenobi’s other forms, such as Hello There!Kenobi and especially Maximum High Ground!Kenobi stomp all of fiction with ease.

Speedy

Hi. I’m here. Here to play Devil’s Advocate for Kakashi and then bet on Obi-Wan anyway! I was originally going to make a longer analysis, but it turns out I’ve run out of time lol. So, I’m going to have to keep things brief. However, I will go in-depth on some of the Kakashi scaling since I’ve been asked to do that and because I’ve already got it written up.

To cut right to the chase, the best feat that I feel Kakashi can reliably be scaled to is this feat, where a number of the Bijū produced mountain-busting explosions, calculated to 26 gigatons for each one.

“Wait what. How does Kakashi scale to the Bijū, aren’t they >>> most characters?”

Well, no, not necessarily. Kurama is definitely in a league of his own, but most Bijū aren’t that far beyond your average Kage-level ninja. Shukaku has been matched on multiple occasions by characters like Rasa and Gamabunta, the former of whom was killed by Orochimaru and weaker than a number of other characters by statements, while the latter was casually oneshot by Pain. 

Matatabi was casually blocked by Kakuzu and then defeated. Isobu lost to Deidara and Tobi. The Four Tails Jinchūriki got off-screened by Kisame (more on shark boy in a sec). Gyūki was matched by the Third Raikage, harmed by Taka Sasuke’s Amaterasu, and got almost all of his chakra absorbed by Kisame. Speaking of Kisame, dude was outright stated to output Biju levels of power. Like, there’s legit a shitton of evidence to suggest that high-tier ninja can contend with the Bijū (with, again, the exception of Kurama, who’s explicitly stronger than the rest of them). Kakashi scales via comparability to Pain, Rinnegan Obito, Kakuzu, etc.

In terms of speed he’s at least MHS+, possibly relativistic to varying degrees of FTL depending on how lenient you are with things like databook statements. Given how guidebooks are usually used for Star Wars, I think low FTL is prolly fine enough, based on Mifune and the Raikage being stated to attack at lightspeed or near lightspeed, and other characters outpacing them.

As for Kenobi, the massive tl;dr is that it depends on what material you use and accept, but the general gist is that Kakashi beats his canon incarnation with some difficulty, but loses to Legends despite having some win-cons. There are a TON of interesting abilities comparisons to be made here, but I unfortunately don’t have time to make them. Just look at the advantages and disadvantages section for the tl;dr on that one.

Ultimately, despite playing Devil’s Advocate for most of the wait period, since we know Legends is being accounted for to an extent (and because frankly a lot of these Kakashi stats weren’t typically argued prior to now), I feel more comfortable betting on Obi-Wan to win the episode. Something something prequel memes.

It is HeroicDefender again, back on another Death Battle Prediction Blog! and this time it is for a Death Battle that I am surprisingly looking forward to, which features two of my favorite fictional characters from two respective franchises. Obi-Wan Kenobi, the H̶i̶g̶h̶ ̶G̶r̶o̶u̶n̶d̶  Jedi Master from Star Wars and Kakashi Hatake, the P̶e̶r̶v̶e̶r̶t̶e̶d̶ ̶  Book-Reading Ninja Master from Naruto. So without further ado lets us analyze who would win this Death Battle between a Jedi and a Shinobi. 
First let us start with their Attack Potency/Strength shall we?... For Kakashi, while he hasn’t demonstrated many impressive physical strength feats of his own, preferring to rely on speed and agility to outmaneuver his opponents while simultaneously capitalizing on openings he can use to put them at a disadvantage. But nonetheless he has shown to be comparable to multiple characters who should be superior to some of the weaker Bijuu, who can create massive explosions that come out at around Island Level - considering that this is the same Kakashi that has gone up against highly powerful and skilled ninjas such as Zabuza, Kakuzu and Pain as well as being shown to be highly capable of physically matching his former student, Sasuke Uchiha whom in his prime is strong enough to bust a mountain and fought on par against his other powerful student, Naruto Uzumaki. And reminder, Sasuke was powered up by his Hebi Form and Kakashi fought him to a stalemate. So it shouldn’t be hard to believe that this nimble book-worm shinobi is a force to be reckoned with. 
So then how does his opponent, Obi-Wan Kenobi stack up in comparison? Well it varies because as of 2020, Star Wars has been split into two separate continuities thanks to Disney. The Legends canon (aka Expanded Universe) and the Disney Canon. This has unfortunately led to many beloved stories in the Legends continuity from pre-2014 to be no longer canon, but luckily for our favorite High Ground Jedi Master. Obi-Wan has the benefit from the fact that a lot of his best feats that he either performed himself or scales to in the EU do not contradict with the currently established Disney Canon of Star Wars, giving him much more leeway to research in a Vs Context compared to like say Luke Skywalker. So therefore I will be analyzing Obi-Wan’s feats and abilities from both Legends and Disney continuities.
To start things off. Very similar to Kakashi, on his own - Obi-Wan hasn’t demonstrated many notable strength feats of his own, much preferring to stonewall his opponent’s offenses with his impenetrable defensive lightsaber fighting style, Form III: Soresu until he is capable of exploiting any openings in his opponent’s defense to deliver a swift counter attack. But has to be shown to be able to nonetheless contend with the likes of superhuman powerhouses such as Durge and General Grevious, both of whom are strong enough to shatter human bones. Even staggering them with his physical strikes, pretty impressive considering these two are both durable enough to tank city-scale level explosions. In addition, he can physically match and telekinetically statmate his apprentice, Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader in the Force before eventually defeating him. Reminder this is the same Anakin/Vader who possesses the most midi-chlorians out of almost any Jedi and Sith in history to the point where it was said that his Force potential could potentially rival that of Grandmaster Yoda and was stated to be 80% of Darth Sidious’s power - the same Jedi Knight/Sith Lord that used the force to block explosions caused by Proton Torpedoes and remains relatively fine, keep in mind that these Proton Torpedoes can damage Quasar Fire class carriers that have survived attacks that reach around Island Level, this is in the Disney SW Canon mind you. Another feat in the Disney continuity of SW that he should scale to is the Kinro feat which involved multiple Jedi that stopped a meteor that was tearing through planets and that’s not even the limit of where the Star Wars verse caps off at power-wise. It gets even crazier when we start diving into the Legends continuity. There is Starkiller’s Clone powering the fusion accelerator cannon and Darth Malak charging the Star Forge with his Force powers, both feats clocked in at around Country Level and Multi-Continent Level respectively. That’s all Legends Star Wars has to offer in terms of damage output right? Ohhhh no… it gets even better. Now we are getting to the juicy part, the Small Planet-Planet Level feats which come from the likes of Darth Nihilus, Darth Bane, Yarael Poof and many other Force individuals throughout Star Wars history capable of planetary scale feats which is very consistent for Jedi and Siths who are not named Luke Skywalker, Yoda and Darth Sidious.  
Darth Nihlus with the Force, was able to raze an entire surface of Katarr on a planetary scale - causing landmasses, oceans, vegetations and civilizations to become uninhabitable. Darth Bane on the other hand, his potential in the Force allowed for him to be able to nudge a moon to collide with a planet. And finally we have Yarael Poof who despite being in a weakened state, was able to use his powers in the Force to contain the energy within the artifact called the Infant of Shaa which has been repeatedly stated to be powerful enough to cause a destructive energy potent enough to obliterate planets. As one of the high-ranking members of the Jedi Council and faced those with similar capabilities based on direct feats and statements, there is no reason to believe that Obi-Wan cannot scale to any of these higher-end feats in the Legends continuity especially considering that he sits on the high seat of the council with Yarael and other highly regarded Jedi Masters like Mace Windu and Yoda, so he should be capable of performing similar levels of power close to the aforementioned feats. Mind you that, he is also one of the many few Jedi that have achieved oneness with the Force, so there is that to support that he is no cannon fodder Jedi.
There are a few things I’d like to address however regarding the arguments against the Kinro and Infant of Shaa feats so mini rant incoming. I seen such dubiously weak arguments such as: “the Kinro feat required multiple Jedi to stop the meteor so no one should really scale to it”, “Yarael stopping the Infant of Shaa cost him his own life, Jedi performing such high-end feats isn’t possible without them dying” and/or “these feats are better than anything the higher tier Jedi and Sith like Yoda and Darth Sidious have done as their feats required more efforts compared to this, therefore it is an outlier!”. 
I personally found these arguments flawed for several reasons. One, about the Kinro feat some people took to face value on what they are reading without looking deep into the context as to how it all came to be because if they did look into the context of the feat at hand - you would learn that it was implied that the Jedi all contributed an equal amount of effort together with their power to stop the meteor and the numbers didn’t exceed more than 10,000 members. It was all treated as a singular event in which multiple Jedi sacrificed themselves. No one during this event stood out as particularly powerful otherwise they would have been Master or Grandmaster like Kenobi and Yoda… So it stands to reason that the likes of Obi-Wan and Yoda are far superior to these Jedi who did the feat and should be able to replicate it on a similar scale to some capacity if not greater. 
Next is the Infant of Shaa where some have argued that performing the feat cost the life of Jedi Master, Yarael Poof thus it should not really scale to anyone. Again context is important folks because you read into the feat in question, you would learn that before this event took place - Yarael was fatally stabbed in the heart by General Ashaar Khorda’s vibroblade meaning Yarael died as a result of the previous wound he had suffered from, NOT from overextending his energy to contain the destructive energy in the Infant of Shaa. So had Yarael been fully healthy and not wounded beforehand, he would have been able to live to tell the tale of this heroic deed to his fellow council members. Since Obi-Wan, Mace Windu, Yoda and many others sit on the high seats of the Jedi Council along with him, there is no reason to believe that the mentioned Jedi Masters and Grandmaster cannot replicate a similar feat, if not greater. Star Wars from both continuities showcased a good amount of Low-End to Mid-End feats that eventually build up to the Higher End ones which makes it less of a huge jump in power gap, so this isn’t another Dragon Ball situation where Master Roshi’s moon-busting feat is a huge outlier by the series’s standards. If this doesn’t convince you that both of these feats are not outliers/vague by Disney Canon and Expanded Universe standards then I don’t know what else will, but I stand by the case I have made and will move on from here. 
So with that being said. I have to give the edge to Obi-Wan in AP/Strength as many of the feats in both Legends and Disney Canon that he scales to far exceeds just about anything that Kakashi scales to.
Now we move on to their Speed. Both Obi-Wan and Kakashi have demonstrated to be capable of moving at blurred speeds and attacking faster than the eye can follow, exhibiting even lightspeed reflexes despite the reserved and defensive nature of their fighting styles and tactics. And keeping up with many characters from their respective universes who have also displayed similar calibers of speed feats. Obi-Wan himself is able to move/react fast enough to where time appears to have slowed down around him from his perception and deflect blaster bolts to lasers in a nanosecond which they have been constantly stated to be moving at the speed of light. Kakashi on the other hand is fast enough to intercept lightning and keep up with some of the swiftest ninjas of his era like Obito, Pain, Naruto and Sasuke. 
So while one can argue that they are close in the speed department. I do have to slightly lean towards Obi-Wan having the speed advantage over his ninja counterpart. Once again the character with generally the fastest speed feat that Kakashi can scale to is Sasuke who casually deflected an attack from the Samurai which was stated to be moving near the speed of light according to the guide/databook. Which would come in at about Relativistic+ or low FTL, however I tend to take these with a grain of salt until it is proven otherwise in both lore and statements from characters in the series. Meanwhile Obi-Wan has far more consistent showings of lightspeed reactions judging from his own resume of already stellar direct speed feats and from fighting other Star Wars characters with similar showings thus allowing to make for a stronger case of him being FTL. The most consistent high end speed feats that the Naruto verse has usually reached is about Sub-Relativistic or Relativistic which pales in comparison to the plethora of speed feats that Star Wars has at their disposal. 
Moving on to Durability. Obi-Wan and Kakashi can take a surprising amount of punishment and keep fighting for an extended period of time, which has allowed them to outlast most of their opponents for so long. However just like what I had talked about in the Attack Potency/Strength category, I still have to give it to Obi-Wan here. Nearly about everything that Star Wars has done thus far is more superior to anything that the verse of Naruto has accomplished. And now that we are done talking about the stats, I will be moving into their intelligence, experience, arsenal, tactics and abilities as we slowly transition into my overall verdict on who I believe would win this Death Battle. 
Starting it off with Intelligence and Experience. Obi-Wan and Kakashi have fought in many wars and large scale conflicts to prevent all out wars, both been through many hardships and tragedies yet neither of them have succumbed to the will of darkness because of their courage, constitution and unbreakable iron-will. Both are cunning and fierce leaders, able to lead their comrades into battles and using unorthodox strategies to turn the tides of war into their favor. These experiences have molded them into exceptionally dedicated warriors and teachers with wisdom. There is an argument to be made that Obi-Wan edges out Kakashi in this category because of him being older which is certainly valid, but these two fight and think so identically. It would be hard to say which one  would provide more advantages over the other. So I am going to probably call this one a draw. 
Now onto their Arsenal, Tactics and Abilities. With how defensive Obi-Wan and Kakashi are as fighters, it’s going to be possibly hard for the other to capitalize on one another’s openings and mistakes. So it's likely that this battle would come down to a war of attrition. Each fighter brings their own ace in the cards for helping turn tides of battle in their favor--- Obi-Wan’s Telekinesis, Telepathy, Tutuminis, Precognition, Shatterpoint, Force Senses, Force Heal and Beast Control whereas Kakashi brings his skills in Elemental Manipulation, Precognition, Illusionary Jutsu, Summoning Jutsu, Sharingan and Kamui. And of course you can’t talk about Kenobi without bringing up his iconic blue Lightsaber, not as clumsy or random as a blaster; an elegant weapon for a more civilized age. In terms of weapons, Kakashi brings with him - Shurikens, Kunais and occasionally Swords, Daggers to other conventional weapons. So based on the rundown of their arsenal, tactics and abilities, who do I think has the overall advantage here?... My money would be on wait for it *drum rolls in anticipation* ……. Obi-Wan Kenobi. 
While his arsenal and abilities are nowhere near as varied and diverse compared to what Kakashi is packing. Obi-Wan’s simple, but effective tools and Jedi tricks would allow for him to turn the tides of the long ongoing battle in his favor for a number of reasons.
Many of Kakashi’s conventional weapons would be rendered useless as Obi-Wan’s Lightsaber could easily slice through all of them like bread n’ butter. Telekinesis allows for Obi-Wan to stop any form of Kakashi’s movements in his tracks - effectively robbing him of his mobility. Obi-Wan’s Tutaminis can practically counter just about any elemental jutsu that Kakashi throws at him, being able to absorb it then use the energy for himself or redirect it back at his opponent. Kakashi summoning his Shadow Clones and/or pack of hounds would certainly give him a numbers advantage over the Jedi Master, but it could hardly make the difference because Obi-Wan’s Force Senses would allow for him to quickly locate the real Kakashi within the swarms of his Shadows and there is also the possibility that his mastery of Beast Control can turn Kakashi’s pack of hounds against him, not to mention that Obi-Wan has walked off unscathed from fighting hundreds of battle droids even while surrounded on a daily basis and one of his Lightsaber combat styles - Form I: Shii-Cho is specialized for fighting multiple opponents at once, in which he incorporated elements of its techniques into his defensive Soresu fighting style. With Shatterpoint, Obi-Wan would be capable of exploiting weaknesses in Kakashi’s defenses. And if he so wishes, he is capable of using it to tear open any wounds he may have suffered during their battle or from the past such as the scar from where he previously lost his eye which can potentially render him from being unable to use his Sharingan as a result. And lastly by using Force Heal, Obi-Wan is able to heal any minor wound that Kakashi may inflict on him - letting him stay in the fight a bit longer.
Another ability in the Force worth noting is manipulating matter on a sub-atomic level, this ability is not unheard of in the universe of Star Wars and was even demonstrated to some capacity by Anakin Skywalker and Darth Bane, as activating a Holocron requires one to make numerous precision alterations on a sub-atomic scale. And during Anakin’s time as Darth Vader, he has also been shown to be able to use the Force with more lethal methods such as crushing the internal organs of the opponent from the insides of their body--- Darth Maul has used such an ability like this with the Force as well. When taking into account how finely-attuned Kenobi is with the Force and being on par with these aforementioned individuals in terms of physicality and power, he should be capable of replicating a similar deadly method of this caliber with his Force abilities on Kakashi who has no defense against these kinds of attacks, giving him ways to bypass durability to some extent.
Even if Kakashi could copy Obi-Wan’s fighting style with his Sharingan. He isn’t really gonna gain any beneficial advantages that would completely throw the Jedi Master off his game. So it would be a waste of Chakra on his part.  
Neither of Obi-Wan and Kakashi’s telepathic and illusionary jutsus will work on one another due to Kakashi’s strong mental resistance to illusions and mind manipulation thanks to his Sharingan and having fought a number of shinobi in his career that are master illusionists. In Obi-Wan’s case, the Force shields over every Jedi’s mind from illusions and deceptions thus it negates Kakashi’s Genjutsu techniques from ever fully working on Obi-Wan as he too has fought many Force users in his lifetime that were skilled in using the Force to cast illusions.
Both Obi-Wan and Kakashi possess very potent precognition abilities through the Force and Sharingan. Allowing both combatants to probe and read one another’s minds, in an attempt be ten steps ahead of each other and strategize a counter attack to put the other at a disadvantage. But thanks to Obi-Wan's overall superior combat and reaction speed, he will have more success in doing so against Kakashi, even if it's just by a slight margin. But it makes a huge difference. Not even Kakashi’s attempts to use stealth and ambush tactics would be futile as Obi-Wan’s Precognition and Force Senses basically allows him to sense precisely wherever the Ninja Master may be. 
Kakashi isn’t completely doomed though. His singular win condition would be Kamui which allows him to instantly bypass durability to either BFR or outright kill Obi-Wan. Again however due to Obi-Wan’s faster speed and reflexes, the chances of it happening are very slim as Obi-Wan would be able to quickly outspeed or intercept Kakashi before he could properly lock on to the former and use it on him. It helps that Obi-Wan’s Precognition can warn him of when Kakashi may use Kamui then quickly take countermeasures of his own.
It’s also important to point out how the Force and Chakra work side by side. As this is also important for deciding who the winner may be. Obi-Wan can extensively tap into the Force far more often without tiring himself out too much whereas Kakashi, overextended use of his Chakra can leave him very dangerously exhausted which is a position that he does not want to be in, doesn’t help that a lot of Kakashi’s more powerful abilities is very taxing to his Chakra and in turn, Stamina. At this point, he has worn out all of his tricks and would become a sitting duck, as Obi-Wan has an answer to counter most of his abilities with the exception of Kamui. 
So with that being said. I will draw a conclusion on my verdict. It is unknown how much of the Expanded Universe feats will they use for Obi-Wan in this Death Battle, but assuming that they don’t want to limit Obi-Wan to just only the Disney Canon. I am going to predict that General Obi-Wan Kenobi will gain the high ground against Kakashi Hatake after a long grueling exhausting battle thanks to his stat trinity advantage, comparable intelligence/experience, overall stronger weapon and his Force abilities being able to appropriately respond to most of Kakashi’s tactics and abilities, turning some of his greatest strengths into his own weaknesses.

Hello there everyone welcome back to another prediction blog courtesy of the great folks over at the G1 fan blog. This we’re tackling in my opinion the most hype episode of the entire season so far. Obi-Wan Kenobi vs Kakashi Hatake the strong, wise, snarky, memeic, masters/mentors/chads from Star Wars and Naruto respectively. With some of the best characters from big name franchises under the outstanding 3D animator Devilartemis it’s little wonder why this episode has been the hot topic of DB fans everywhere. And being familiar with and a massive fan of both franchises how could I say no to this wonderful experience.


So to get things started and explain how I’m gonna go about this. While Kakashi was relatively simple and straightforward to work with. Obi-Wan is a different beast altogether due to Disney’s purchase of the franchise in October 2012 and the subsequent canon nuke of the old Expanded universe in 2014. As such Kenobi has essentially 2 different canons to talk about it. Each with vastly different stats, feats histories etc. And while we know DB will use Legends in some capacity (such as at the very least supporting feats to back up canon stats) we’ve been ultimately left in the dark about If DB will go all the way and include the best Legends feats. So I’m gonna go over this using Disney canon Obi-Wan and legends in the likely event these will be referenced in the DB.
So getting started on Attack potency Kakashi ultimately is sitting at island level or 26 gigatons scaling to the Biju bombs from the Tailed Beasts due to being comparable to several characters who scale to other characters who’ve been shown as more than a match for. Such as Pain who with 1 Shinra Tensei casually sent Gamabunta flying hard enough to break all his bones. And this is the same Gamabunta who was a match for Shukaku in part 1. He’s also shown comparable to Kakuzu who blocked an attack from Matatabi and defeated off screen. Deidara who took down Isobu with his clay explosives and Kisame someone who’s been directly stated to possess Jinchuriki levels of power output and has the highest live capture success rate of all of the Akatsuki to the point he defeated four tails aka Son Goku’s Jinchuriki Roshi off screen with ease you can tell who Kishimodo got his inspirations from.  Absorbed most of the chakra of Eight Tails Gyuki and has earned himself the reputation of being called the tailless Biju. So with the exception of Kurama who’s noted to be the most powerful of the Tailed Beasts, high tier ninja are definitely comparable to them. Kakashi by proxy should scale due to being comparable to Kakuzu, Pain, Rinnegan Obito Uchiha Ect. Obi-Wan by comparison is sitting at a couple of gigatons scaling to Vader stopping several proton torpedoes in canon so this makes Kakashi a few times stronger than Kenobi. 
Talking about speed Kakashi is at the very least in the MHS+ range due to cutting a bolt of lighting when he was young (which is how he earned his name techniques namesake Lighting Blade) and intercepting Kakuzu’s Lighting Release: False Darkness technique. But he has potential scaling placing him at much faster levels. Due to keeping up with Obito, someone who was a consistent match for Kuubi Cloak Naruto during the Fourth Great Shinobi War, someone who was capable of outpacing the Raikage’s fastest punch which should be above his Lariat which the databooks note as being near the speed of light. Also worth noting Naruto’s father Minato was literally capable of the exact same feat which was actually the whole point of Naruto replicating it to show he’s comparable to his father. So while the statement is debatable it’s definitely consistent across Naruto as a whole. And even more impressive Kakashi is superior to Kaga Summit Sasuke who casually deflected Lightspeed attacks from the Samurai. And their leader Mifune. This has been calculated at 1.2c or FTL speeds. Putting Kakashi at relativistic to FTL depending on what feats you accept. This puts him about on par if not superior to Canon Kenobi who has several relativistic and FTL showings. Such as reacting to a legitimate laser, out matching Magnaguards who possess near lightspeed processing speed and pulling off the Slip Jaws Maneuver which requires you to react at a “respectable fraction of Lightspeed.”  
So getting into abilities and powers they both possess a formidable arsenal of abilities at their disposal. Kakashi possesses mastery over hand to hand combat, over 1000 different types of ninjutsu, 4 different elemental chakra nature’s, summoning jutsu, mind reading, ninja weaponry such as Kunai Knives, Shuriken, smoke bombs and most importantly the Sharingan which allows him to cast Genjutsu or mind manipulation/illusions. Predict and see though his enemies movements and even copy them to use against them. 
Obi-Wan possesses his connections to The Force which grants him enhanced physical abilities. The ability to predict the future, telekinesis, mind tricks, the ability to exploit weak points block and absorb attacks with tutamanis ect. And of course the ever iconic lightsaber (something everyone in the world has wished they had at one point or another.) 
Getting into the comparison mind hax should be countered. Obi-Wan possesses mental barriers that protect his mind from illusions and deceptions. And Kakashi’s Sharingan gives him resistance as well, such as from Obito. Who’s Genjutsu is potent enough to control the minds of former Fourth Mizukage Yagura and the Nine Tailed Fox Kurama. Both can predict each other’s moves so nether has a definitive edge there. Obi-Wan’s telekinesis can allow him to control the battlefield and affect Kakashi but he does have a possible counter by using a substation or clone Jutsu to save himself if he’s caught. Kenobi’s lightsaber can easily make quick work of most of Kakashi’s standard ninja weaponry since they can cut through steel with ease. He can deflect or stop most of Kakashi’s ninjutsu with Tutamanis. And Kakashi has his signature lighting blade which he can use on his hands or weapons to clash with Kenobi’s lightsaber (which sounds sick) or potentially stab through his heart as well as he does to girls' hearts.
Since I wanted to address this it’s true Kenobi has better reserves than Kakashi does since his use of The Force isn’t nearly as taxing as some of Kakashi’s ninjutsu is and he’s noted to possess an average pool of chakra. However at the same time Kakashi is no foul he’s a master at strategic thinking and is fully aware of his shortcomings. So he won’t recklessly use up all his chakra and techniques and knows then to use them effectively. He’s also a master of waiting and deducing his opponents powers and is noted to be even smarter than Shikamaru who possesses an IQ of 200 and is one of the most brilliant strategists of the whole series. So while chakra level is a point Kakashi won’t use it all up carelessly as some may think. 
I also don’t think Shatterpoint will be a huge factor here. While Kenobi does know the ability. His main use of it was to exploit an enemies weak point to catch them off guard. Not brutally cripple them. So it’s unlikely he would in character tear open Kakashi’s scar in his eye. Also worth noting Kakashi was able to fight efficiently when his scar will still open so it’s unlikely it would hinder him that significantly.
Now I’m going to talk about easily the most important technique Kakashi has up his sleeve, the Kamui. His Mangekyo Sharingan ability allows him to distort space itself on a person or object and send it away to another dimension. This can be used to either BFR or outright kill anyone it hits by either dismembering or decapitating a person it hits. So if this manages to hit Obi-Wan he’s as good as dead. 
Since it hasn’t been exactly elaborated on I wanted to address the downsides and exact limits of how often Kakashi can use Kamui. Initially he had faulty aim with it and using 2 or more times a day would hospitalize or even kill him outright. However as of the war arc, he has improved drastically since and can even spam the use of Kamui rapidly without as severe side effects. First Kakashi uses it on the Gedo Mazu Statue (which failed due to Obito interfering.) a second time on his own lighting enhanced Kunai Knife. A third time on Naruto’s Rasengan, a fourth time on Naruto’s shadow clone. And finally a fifth time on himself to escape the Kamui dimension which ended up reaching his limit until Kurama’s chakra rejuvenated him. And all of these events happened in a relatively brief amount of time apart. So it’s safe to say Kakashi can use Kamui roughly 5 times in quick succession before he reaches his limit. This is also consistent with later showings in the war arc such as the clash with Juubi Madara while he teamed up with Obito. 
So with all this in mind Kakashi should beat canon Obi-Wan with some effort. With superior stats and having the powers necessary to win. However we have to consider legends feats as well. Which depending on who you ask shifts the stats drastically in Kenobi’s favor. While there has been contentions about him being planet level scaling to Yarael Poof due to some uncertainties regarding it. And for the record no it’s not because the feat killed him because his death was due to being stabbed earlier. The main issue is some question if he really contained the energy of the Shaw since the comic compared it more to like defusing a bomb. And even implied it could have destroyed him if it failed. But even if you disagree with the feat Obi-Wan still gets scaling to Starkiller powering the fusion cannon and Darth Malak recharging the Star Forge. Which places him at teratons to exatons of power or country to multi continent level. So Kenobi would gain a gigantic power advantage over Kakashi enough to pretty much obliterate him if he gets a hit in. He also gains even more FTL feats such as deflecting blaster bolts in nanoseconds so he’s capable of keeping up with Kakashi as well. And his precog and enhanced abilities with The Force makes it less likely Kakashi would be able to get Kamui off giving Obi-Wan more of a chance to pull an Anakin on him and strike back, cutting him down.   
So ultimately this match comes down to what source of feats DB uses. If they stick with canon Kakashi wins. If they use enough of Legends then Kenobi wins. So what do I think will happen? Well obviously we know legends feats are being used to some degree and DB will typically use any source of information if it’s consistent and non contradictory to a character. So I can see them using feats that backs up Obi-Wan and mention the possibility of his high end scaling as an argument for him taking the victory in this bout. 
So ultimately after careful consideration I can say Obi-Wan will have the high ground over Kakashi in this Obi-Shonobi battle! 
But regardless of who wins this is shaping up to be a fantastic episode and Obi-Wan and Kakashi are incredible characters who each have possible ways to win. And I’m proud to have helped research and talk about this on a wonderful blog with amazing friends.

It’s sicko getting Star Wars back after so long, with one of its best characters going up against one of Naruto’s best characters.     As someone who worked on the blog, I just want to say
    The Star Forge feat was performed by Darth Malak, not Starkiller, that was a mistake
    Also we know the Proton Torpedo feat might not be legit. The art and text doesn’t make it clear if Vader actually made a shield when he flew through the explosions or if the ship was just weirdly durable enough to tank it. It can be interpreted either way. I think it’s probably safer to say he didn’t create a shield to block it but eh.
