Death Battle Predictions: Galactus VS Unicron

Every act of creation is first an act of destruction.” - Pablo Picasso

Galactus, The Life Bringer, the Wellspring of the Cosmos and Devourer of Worlds from Marvel.

Unicron, The Chaos Bringer, the Cybertronian God of Entropy and Multiversal Singularity from Transformers.

Everything that lives shall one day die. It is a harrowing, inescapable truth that haunts the minds of the living and drives many to madness. A hunger which leaves naught but death and desolation in its wake, it is by design that these forces exist. To decimate lives, cultures and entire planets is simply a part of the grand scheme of reality. Whether that be to ensure the survival of life at the end of all things, or to leave only a harbinger of chaos at time's end, these two have endured through it all to reach this point.

So now all that’s left is to see which titanic, planet-devouring god will emerge victorious. A matchup decades in the making, will the Uncreator disrupt He Who Balances Eternity and Death, or will the Lord of Chaos simply be another meal to the World Eater? Let’s finally find out who will win this DEATH BATTLE!

Before We Start…

Unicron will be given all official media, as they are all essentially him in some way, shape, or form. This will be explained later since this is a canon thing in Transformers.

Disclaimer: Due to the wait period of this episode taking place during a time of where a lot of members were busy with school or other such priorities, the quality of this blog is not up to the usual standard. This was a very busy time for us so please understand that this wasn’t the best timing for us. As a result, some sections ended up incomplete and needed to be quickly filled in prior to posting. Don’t take the contents of those sections too seriously, as they simply could not be properly written or sourced due to time constraints.

Background

Galactus

“Of all the creatures in the vastness of the Universe, there is none like me. I was present at the birth of the Universe, and I shall be there at its end. Though I ravage worlds to live, I bear no malice toward any living thing. I simply do what I must to survive. And why must Galactus survive? For, no matter how many worlds I devour ... How many civilizations I destroy ... It is my destiny to one day give back to the Universe – Infinitely more than I have ever taken from it. So speaks Galactus.”

In an omniverse before the iteration we now know as Multi-Eternity, the planet Taa was in a crisis. It was the last known surviving civilization in existence, but it wouldn’t be for long. Radiation leaking from an event known as the “Big Crunch” was eradicating planets one by one, and even Taa was not safe from the danger. After multiple vain attempts to find a solution to the problem, they came under siege of the cosmic radiation, leaving but a small portion of Taa left to fend for themselves. With no other option, the scientist Galan suggested that they go out on their own terms, and pilot one of their starships into the heart of the Cosmic Egg. One by one, Galan’s crew members were quickly consumed in a heat death, but Galan himself lived, and even stranger, filled with some type of energy. And naturally, the universe he once knew met its fateful end.

But it would not prove to be the end of mighty Galan. At the climax of the Big Crunch taking its course, Galan was brought before the embodiment of the Sixth Cosmos, predecessor to Eternity and Infinity and the entity of the fifth Multiverse. It merged its essence with the pure-form Galan, being baptized in the energies of creation itself to become a lifeform that would change the course of Multiversal renewal; Galactus, the Devourer of Worlds. When the next cycle had emerged, Galan was no more, and Galactus was the only remaining survivor of the universe that once was.

Now a new being in the universe of Earth-616, many would come to know Galactus as many things; to those watching by, a threat to all life itself. But to those wiser and more aware of the universe around them, Galactus was understood as a necessary component to the natural order of the cosmos, at the expense of having to consume entire worlds to sustain his complex physiology. But it didn’t mean there wouldn’t be those who resist; Galactus too knew this, and overtime he began to appoint heralds of his very own, to do his bidding for him, and bring him worlds to be consumed, beings such as the Fallen One and the Silver Surfer came and gone, all the while Galactus continued to evolve, to better suit his purpose. Should you find yourself in the presence of Galactus, you will find yourself consumed in the power of Hunger That Does Not Cease.

Unicron

"Entropy, decay, death are things of the natural order—petty, corporeal facsimiles of my will. I am beyond such things. I am no mere force of nature. No phenomenon to be studied, codified, and circumvented by the inventiveness of lesser beings. I am the collapse of natural order. A formless, infinite nothing petty corporeal minds cannot imagine. Total annihilation. Peace in an endless emptiness the heart and totality of which I alone encompass. I am Unicron. I live again."

The Lord of Chaos, The Planet Eater, The Chaos Bringer, those titles belong to Unicron. The eternal enemy to Primus and a plague upon all creation, all reality. Rather than a character, Unicron is more of a force of nature, a being that brings nothing but Chaos not because he has to, but because he wants to. Since the beginning of space and time, Unicron was created by The One, who split him into 2 separate beings, Unicron (duh) and Primus. Chaos and order, respectively. Since the beginning of time, Unicron has battled Primus for the fate of the multiverse, in his wake, all is consumed.

Planets, Stars, Autobots and Decepticons alike, even entire universes and existence itself is little more than fuel for this towering satanic monstrosity. For Unicron, nothing shall suffice until all life ends, until creation itself has been consumed, and he is all that remains. Even if one were to strike a bargain and work for Unicron, this would do nothing in the long run, as they too must eventually be consumed. In truth, Unicron is more of a plague than a robot. A multiversal singularity that seeps into reality wherever it can find a foothold. Spawning more mundane versions of itself that while weaker, still possess the same hunger for creation as its progenitor. Ultimately, as the embodiment of chaos, all that Unicron truly fears is his brother Primus and his essence, The Matrix of Leadership. For a being of death and destruction, such a font of life and creation is akin to poison for his wretched being.

Although he seemed defeated, Unicron can never be truly destroyed. He's either in one universe destroying its inhabitants by eating Planets, or in another manipulating the weak in order to gain the power to beat Primus. No matter what side you are on, good or evil, you are nothing but a mere insect to Unicron's presence.

Experience & Skill

Galactus

Even before becoming the mighty Galactus, Galan was considered a brilliant cosmic genius on a planet that was far more advanced than any other in his time. As Galactus, he has existed since the birth of not just the Earth-616 universe, but also the 7th Omniverse, and his experience combined with his unfathomable mind has allowed him to stand as one of the greatest beings in existence in experience and in prowess. His scientific knowledge is described as beyond human understanding, which has likely influenced most, if not all of his technology of which he himself built. Technology so advanced, Reed Richards, the smartest human on Earth, admitted he had an inability to understand the devices of Galactus.

He also has acclaimed knowledge of time and space, in instances such as proclaiming what was beyond an asteroid at presumably the edge of the infinite universe, or being able to identify beings beyond space and time such as the Beyonder, or warning Silver Surfer the whereabouts and location of Nova despite being eons away from him. His knowledge is also prominent in what lies within the universe, from its many worlds and locations such as the people of Shi’ar, or knowing about the existence of the Infinity Stones a millennia before anyone even knew Thanos was attempting to obtain them.

Galactus is also a very devious and tactical schemer, oftentimes when he is preparing for battle or mentoring his heralds, he has a plan for almost anything, and if it fails, he tries again. Such as an instance when Galactus had failed to merge with the Beyonder, Galactus comes up with a plan to devour his home's energy, Battleworld, and the sun nearby to gain enough energy to go into full battle. Even when Galactus was on Death’s door, he devised a plan to use Silver Surfer and the Fantastic Four to retrieve the Soul Gems from a black hole, claiming he could merge the immortal souls of the Elders of the Universe he consumed with the Soul Gem to prevent himself from dying.

Unicron

Unicron has been battling Primus since the beginning of space and time, and even before the current multiverse. Unicron has feasted on planets throughout the decades of Transformers since his first appearance throughout the multiverse. As shown when either possessing someone or he's fighting Primus himself, Unicron is capable of fighting in hand to hand combat and even with weaponry. Thanks to sentient quantum computers in his head, Unicron is capable of calculating probabilities in forwards and backwards in time and develop a multi-dimensional probability map. And not only that, but Unicron's intelligence has been several times listed as Infinite.

Equipment

Galactus

Bodysuit

Made by Galactus himself and from an unknown material of design, this suit was made to contain and regulate his personal energy. When not constrained by the armor, he will take a humanoid form composed of crackling energy.

The Ultimate Nullifier

A weapon originally created by the Watchers to eradicate the invading Prosilican Empire, along with obliterating nine-tenths of the universe, this weapon came into the possession of Galactus and is typically kept in his warship, Taa II. Depending on the mental fortitude and knowledge of the user, this weapon can eradicate any target, with a big scope at large.

But the thing is, the Ultimate Nullifier doesn’t simply kill you. It completely erases you from existence extending across all of time itself, meaning that once you were hit, you would cease to have ever been. The Ultimate Nullifier erases your body, mind, and soul on every level imaginable, including abstract and conceptual levels, till you’re a part of Oblivion, who represents the void before creation (Eternity) and the unbeing of all existence and its stories.

It’s one of the few weapons that strikes fear into the heart of Galactus himself, who he said could eradicate targets as large as a universe, or even a multiverse. At its most powerful, it was even able to erase Multi-Eternity, a being embodying time, space, narrative, and the living consciousness of everyone in existence itself. The reason for this was that Mr. Fantastic sought to erase Abraxas—the abstract embodiment of destruction across the omniverse—from existence. Reed destroyed the totality of Eternity which was soon recreated immediately after; however, with only one difference. Abraxas was no longer there and his actions were undone.

Worldship (Taa II)

This solar system-sized shape became the home of Galactus, forged by the raw material of a planet he consumed known as Archeopia. Construction took a millennia to complete, and in its completion, it engulfed the entire Archeopian System itself. A ship so large, entire planets and a star are held captive in it by its sheer gravitational pull. According to Terrax the Tamer, the ship has enough energy to sustain his power, which is likely true of all of his ships.

Lifebringer One

The first ship of Galactus, made from the remnants of Galan’s old ship and used as his personal incubator for eons to bring him to his true power and role as Galactus. In more recent times, Galactus once again used his first ship to incubate himself, emerging not as the Devourer of Worlds, but as the Lifebringer.

Star Sphere

Another ship Galactus has used when he himself would personally travel to devour a planet. According to the Watcher, it is a ‘universe-spanning’ ship and can receive signals from the heralds of Galactus. The ship is durable enough to tank telekinetic bolts of force from Ego the Living Planet and fast enough to escape the radius of a planet-busting attack that produces a powerful enough shockwave to drive nearby planetoids off their orbit. The ships’ beams can terraform entire moons.

Scout Ship

A smaller ship Galactus can launch to scout out danger where the Star Sphere may be the one used to devour the planets. It can fire a blast of energy compared to the fire of a thousand suns and has the ability to increase the gravity of an object to the point of pulling in nearby asteroids to act as a meteor storm constantly pummeling his foe. After Reed Richards’ reconfigured the course of this ship, it became capable of traveling to the Negative Zone.

Elemental Converter

A machine created by Galactus that dehydrates the seas of planets before converting them into energy for Galactus to feed on. It is also armed with energy beams meant to blast through the surface of planets and access their core.

Propulsion System

A powerful propulsion engine Galactus used to propel Ego the Living Planet across time.

Punisher Robots

Robots in the servitude of Galactus, used from lost worlds and stored in the worldship vessel Taa II. They have been used for a variety of reasons such as defending the technology of Galactus, or to locate his heralds.

Cosmic Spheres

A swarm of drones Galactus can send out to defend him while he is consuming a planet. The spheres can unleash powerful energy blasts and constructs, and were able to fend off a team of X-Men and Avengers at once.

Galactus Convertible

Galactus Convertible. (Death Race when)

Unicron

Mace and Shield

Unicron has had a Mace and Shield during some of his fights with Primus. Presumably forged from the same primal chaos and fury that makes up Unicron.

Chest Missiles

Unicron has chest Missiles throughout continuities and toy lines. There's typically 6 in a majority of them. Capable of damaging even the strongest Autobots and Decepticons alike.

Dead End

Yes, Unicron has one of these little guys, which shouldn't be a surprise as he's the one who made them. Thanks to being his mini con, it greatly enhances Unicron's powers.

Abilities

Galactus

Power Cosmic

A cosmic energy used by Galactus. It is a near infinite source of energy, and can do basically anything that Galactus needs it to do, as it was the power that turned Galan into Galactus. It has a variety of capabilities, from utilizing and projecting the energies of the universe, or tampering with fundamental aspects of reality such as time and space, all of which are before Galactus. In turn, this also nourishes him, not needing any form of sustainment such as rest or the need to breathe oxygen. He typically grants portions of his Power Cosmic to his various heralds, such as Silver Surfer.

Wielding it has been described in the past by Surfer as being in touch not just with the universe, but being the universe itself. Dr. Doom has stated that anyone who wields the Power Cosmic may have the power to rival Galactus himself. Surfer has also described the Power Cosmic as not just being in touch with everything in the universe, but also to be the universe itself. And Tony Stark on the other hand has stated that the Power Cosmic is the primary substance of omniscience and omnipresence… anything and everything.

Enhanced Senses

This might seem to be a fairly basic power, but it is anything but that. Yes, the Power Cosmic allows its user to see, hear, taste, and smell both instances far away, and those incredibly small, like the chemical reactions in the brain caused by kissing; however, it can also do a lot more. Silver Surfer, who only has a portion of Galactus’ Power Cosmic has shown the ability to sense how far away from him they are, even to the point of even sensing the sparks of electrons on fingertips and the dopamine rushing through a person’s blood (as shown above).

He has sensed the pain of creatures that were assimilated. He can also sense specific types of energy, as well as specific qualities of the energy, and even where the energy originates from. He has sensed shifts in the pattern of space. This awareness of space is so great that Surfer can track a human across the planet from a single strand of hair. Hell, he’s able to detect the path of a breeze from half a galaxy away. In addition to this, he has shown to be able to see enemies and objects that are supposed to be invisible without any issue whatsoever.

Cosmic Awareness

The Power Cosmic allows its user to tap into and understand knowledge and input from across the universe without difficulty. With it, Galactus was able to sense the presence of Thanos with the Infinity Gauntlet, forcing the Mad Titan to show himself. Silver Surfer has shown even greater feats, such as being able to find a single piece of dust across the infinite universe, tracking his path throughout the infinite planes of reality, instantly sensing the abilities and weaknesses of his opponents, and seeing into alternate planes of reality. One such alternate plane of reality is the Implicate Order, which allows users tapping into it to see all moments of the past, present, and future at once. Silver Surfer in particular has done this more than once.

This Cosmic Awareness granted to Power Cosmic users also grants them a form of omnilingualism, as shown by Surfer when he understood ancient languages without difficulty. Johnny Storm, when in possession of the Power Cosmic, was able to look into the pasts of every member of the Fantastic Four. Norrin was even able to give Alicia Masters the ability to see on a quantum level into the Implicate Order, showing that he can transfer a bit of his Cosmic Awareness to others.

Energy Manipulation

Galactus is capable of manipulating a variety of energies in devastating ways, such as energy blasts or shooting beams from his eyes. His energy can produce blasts wide enough in range to cover three star systems over, and even upon his creation he had enough power to shatter a planet.

Many of Marvel’s mightiest foes have come to meet the power of Galactus and his Power Cosmic, with a variety of feats such as one-shotting the Red Hulk with his eye beams, matching the Phoenix in raw energy (shown above), fending off the Avengers, clashing with Mephisto in his realm while affecting galaxies from afar, stalemating the In-Betweener, and even downing Thanos, even with his shields open

Energy Absorption

Galactus’ full power and even survival depends on how much energy he has absorbed, as it is in his very nature to absorb the energy of planets to sustain himself, hence this is arguably Galactus’ most crucial ability. Very often has he absorbed planets and stars to keep himself fully fed, but at times he has absorbed the attacks of foes in a variety of different ways, such as absorbing the Flames of Faltine when Dormammu attacked, absorbing Satannish into his own power, using the Vision’s dark matter attack to make him stronger, being able to absorb the entire domain of Mephisto, draining Sphinx of his power, absorbing the Human Torches flames, draining Ultron of his energy, one-shotting him in the process, even during the “Time Bubble/Black Celestial”, an alternative future event, Galactus was going to consume an entire four-dimensional universe space-time continuum.

Matter Manipulation

The Power Cosmic also grants Galactus control over matter, such as being able to use transmutation or alter the biology of living beings, or even manipulate types of matter, whether present in others or not. He was able to transmute Terrax the Tamer into a worm, and in proclaiming his matter manipulation power to the Fantastic Four he implied in a vision that by tampering with the Invisible Woman’s molecules, she could become ‘invisible forever.’, and could turn Human Torch’s flame body into ice and melt the Thing into a pool of mere atoms.

He’s able to affect intangible beings such as Ultimate Kitty Pryde, can make Human Torches electrons contract, can create a visicloud to knock out Thor, or assimilate a being in power armor. And due to his scientific genius in conjunction with matter manipulation, he even created a planetary energy converter from the materials on Earth

Energy Fusionism

Galactus was able to use energy in such a way that he could meld his life-force with that of Gamora, using her as a puppet of her own or as he put it, ‘I shall be the surgeon, you the scalpel.” Galactus used this ability to make Gamora return Eternity from his catatonic state.

Antimatter Manipulation

Can generate blasts of anti-matter particles, which have the opposite electric charge of normal stable matter.

Force-Fields

Galactus is capable of using energy to produce force-fields around himself to repel enemies, often calling it his ‘Galactian Barrier’. It’s powerful enough to block attacks from Mjolnir and make the Thing bounce off of him. It also has some properties of dissolving objects that come in its range, such as when a machine thrown by Thing disperses when it hits the barrier around Galactus. He can even create force-fields large enough to cover over the entire Earth. The Invisible Woman, an experienced force-field manipulator, was unable to disrupt his force-fields.

Size Manipulation

Galactus is capable of using the Power Cosmic to grow and shrink his body as he deems necessary. He can grow as large as the Wraithworld’s Black Sun, a star orbiting Wraithworld.

Telepathy

Galactus has telepathic abilities that allow him to read thoughts, communicate non vocally, and connect with others minds to engage in combat. He’s telepathically communicated with the likes of the Thing and Dazzler, telling the latter his story telepathically. In one instance, he was able to read the thoughts of Mr. Fantastic despite being billions of light-years away.

Galactus has engaged in mental battles via telepathy before against the likes of Thanos, Xavier, and even Odin, overpowering each other at multiple points during the fight. For reference, Odin was capable of breaching the telepathic defenses of the Scarlet Witch

Silver Surfer has shown even more telepathic versatility such as when he was able to telepathically communicate with others, despite having his body transformed into snow. He can also share his memories with others and absorb the thoughts of others, being able to project these thoughts through hyperspace or as physical holograms.

Surfer goes beyond basic telepathy though, and has shockingly robust mind manipulating abilities on top of it. Surfer can channel the Power Cosmic into his own consciousness in order to release a blast of pure consciousness that swept through an entire Matrix of Pure Consciousness, and reduced the beings of pure consciousness (the aliens) within to nothingness, and dissolved the Matrix as well

On another occasion, Surfer encountered the Mergence, a transcendent group mind which cannot be seen by humans, which was absorbing the collective consciousness of everything on Earth, no matter how minor, from humans, to animals, to plants and even rocks, down to the quantum level. Surfer proceeded to use his Power Cosmic (while potentially channeling his pure soul into it) in order to damage the Mergence, severing its connection with its host.

Mind Manipulation

Galactus has shown he can also manipulate what goes on in the mind of others to beings in a variety of ways, from unlocking their memories to making imprints of him on their mind in some form or way, or taking full control of sentient beings. He was once able to produce an illusion in the minds of the Fantastic Four that they were on a sinking island, catapulting them into space despite Galactus being billions of light-years away, and manipulated Frankie Raye’s mind to turn her into one of his heralds.

One capability he has shown is using telepathic bolts, which he used to down Terrax the Tamer, and is even skilled enough to transfer information from one person’s mind into another, such as when he transferred information to Dr. Strange in such hastily fashion, Dr. Strange was knocked unconscious.

Memory Manipulation

Galactus is capable of removing and manipulating the memories of anyone he chooses. Even other beings imbued with the Power Cosmic, like the Silver Surfer.

Perception Manipulation

Also called ‘adapted appearance’, Galactus can manipulate how he is seen in the eyes of others. Although normally he is perceived as a giant physical being with purple armor, each sentient being can at times, see him in a form resembling their own, even if that means being a squirrel. As explained in Quasar #37, this is because the Manifestations, an unknown race, give M-Bodies that make the Abstracts have physical bodies, changed in appearance based on the mental image of the beholder.

Astral Projection

The Astral Plane has been described as being the power source for the Power Cosmic, thus Galactus should have abilities relating to the spirit, such as astrally projecting himself. He was able to imprint an astral projection of himself in the mind of the Fantastic Four from billions of light-years away. Surfer has also shown astral projection such as when he fought Mephisto in his astral form, showing incredibly potent spiritual resilience.

Telekinesis

Through mental concentration, Galactus can also take ahold of objects and move them to his desire. He’s precise enough to use telekinesis to repair a machine out of drifting pieces of his star sphere and the force behind his attacks are so great, he was able to force Dr. Doom out of his ship, and Mr. Fantastic thought Galactus could atomize North America just by throwing a planetoid at it, and Reed was even knocked out by Galactus merely gesturing him and the Fantastic Four away.

Galactus has shown numerous techniques when using telekinesis such as making telekinetic bubbles strong enough to restrain the Thing, or using a telekinetic burst to force back Mr. Fantastic. He can even use telekinetic binding strong enough to hold the Elders of the Universe in place.

Silver Surfer has also used telekinesis many times. He was able to telekinetically lift someone (as seen above), and could telekinetically lift and wrap an entire car around Spider-Man. To more grand applications, such as allowing himself to surf on an entire moon, moving it telekinetically. Doctor Doom, while utilizing Surfer’s Power Cosmic, was able to telekinetically toss around large boulders as well.

Even while in a comatose state, Surfer’s telekinesis is powerful enough to generate a massive wind storm, lift Reed Richard’s house out of the ground, and nullify gravity to the point of eventually threatening the planet.

Life Creation

Galactus is capable of creating sentient life out of thin air or via molecular control, in all its complex, simple, or bio-technical forms, from monsters made to face Captain Britain to a destroyer of galaxies known as Tyrant.

Healing/Resurrection

The Power Cosmic is capable of healing the wounds of others, or even restoring life into that which was already dead. He easily healed the Silver Surfer after he had just been crippled by the energies of the Big Crunch, and he restored the life of the entire planet of Zenn-La, including its population. Doctor Doom was also capable of resurrecting creatures from their dead remains (which he had just made… because he just killed them.)

Soul Manipulation

Galactus is capable of tampering with a being’s soul, altering their personality, their very being down to the last detail, or he can destroy souls for him to absorb. When he turned Silver Surfer into his herald, Galactus admitted that he tampered with the soul of Norrin Radd when exchanging for the Power Cosmic.

Time Manipulation

Galactus is capable of using the Power Cosmic to manipulate time itself, down to the last detail. Such as when he created a time loop to trap the immortal Sphinx in an endless 5,000 year loop that forced him to retrace his steps endlessly, unable to even hope to die. The Enchantress stated that time itself warps around Galactus. The Silver Surfer has also shown a wide variety of time manipulating abilities, ranging from stopping time to more unusual abilities, such as peeling the fabric of the universe to look back in time, seeing events that have occurred in the past, and he can even enter a higher dimensional plane where all of time intersects.

Time Travel

Galactus should be as capable as Silver Surfer of time traveling. Surfer has time traveled on a multitude of occasions (with varying results). He can time travel through sheer speed, as surpassing the speed of light can allow him to time travel. He’s capable of entering the timestream to travel to any point in time as well using the Power Cosmic.

Space Manipulation

Galactus is capable of manipulating the very fabric of space, in numerous ways such as bending it, or outright destroying it. His mere presence alone can cause space to distort, and he was able to tear a hole in the fabric of reality to summon Eternity entity to him. Surfer, using this ability, was able to rip open a hole in space to return from the Inciters’ realm hidden in a rift in space, and can also create quantum bubbles which warp the very fabric of space themselves, and can travel across the universe with a thought. He [Norrin] has also bent space itself in order to create wormholes.

Dimensional Travel

As an extension of his spatial manipulation, Galactus can access different universes and even entirely different realms of existence, or send others to these points of interest if he so pleases. He was able to enter the Continuum, a bubble universe completely separated from the multiverse, and teleport himself and a legion of heroes from a hole in reality to his ship. He has also used dimensional travel as a form of battlefield removal, such as when he sent the High Evolutionary to the Negative Zone, or when he sent the Golden Galaxy across space. Lifebringer Galactus has shown a more potent version of ability when he peeled apart the structure of Eternity to return the Ultimates from the Outside back into regular reality.

Reality Warping

The Power Cosmic grants Galactus numerous ways to manipulate reality to his own doing. His reality warping is so potent, that his mere presence can distort the universe around him, and this is an effect that can act across multiple planets of existence simultaneously. Galactus himself stated that his every passing whim becomes reality, and Doctor Doom described the material world and his own imagination as having become as one after absorbing Galactus' power

Acausality

Galactus is a being unaffected by cause and effect due to the nature of his existence. He is a being that is stated to be beyond time and space, and the influence of his presence can influence the past, present, and future of multiple realities at once.

Existence Erasure

Galactus is capable of completely wiping someone out of existence, warping reality until it is as if they never even existed, both under his own power and also with the Ultimate Nullifier, which can completely erase any offending targets from history. Even his mere presence can cause anomalies that threaten to erase someone across history. Silver Surfer—who we’ve discussed has only a fraction of Galactus’ power—has displayed a couple of his own feats of erasing things from existence, such as when he released a blast of cosmic energy which erased some soldiers’ guns from existence, or when he seemingly erased the existence of bands which grant incredible power. He also arguably erased the body of someone who killed themselves in fear of him

Conceptual Manipulation

Galactus has fought conceptual abstracts many times before, however, it’s seen most clearly throughout Al Ewing’s Ultimates run. In one such example, he was able to fight Master Order and Lord Chaos in their true forms which represent the very ideas of order and chaos throughout all of creation. He was able to “punch pure information” or in this case, the very ideas of order and chaos. There are numerous more examples in the Ultimates, such as when he not only fights archetypal Celestials, but empowers Ego to be able to do the same. Silver Surfer has also shown conceptual manipulation before, such as the time he destroyed the very concept of Zenn-La’s culture throughout existence and the time he manipulated the higher-dimensional heart of the Never Queen who represents the concept of possibility itself.

Fate Manipulation

An ability shown by Silver Surfer that Galactus should have. In the case of Norrin, he was able to manipulate destiny itself to create a new possibility in which Surfer could escape a time loop and take all the aliens with him to a safe world. The Never Queen, who represents all possibilities in the totality of Marvel stated that Surfer was fated beyond her control.

Superpower Manipulation

Galactus is very experienced not just in matters involving the mystic and the scientific, but also how it is used against him, as he is a well-versed character when it comes to dealing with foes with powers that seem unconventional to him, but really are something he can take control of as well. He was able to affect Ultimate Kitty Pryde despite her being intangible, and was able to physically attack the In-Betweener in spite of the latter's nondual nature making him impervious to all conventional attacks.

Even his heralds are subject to this, as Galactus can remove the Power Cosmic from them such as when he did so to Silver Surfer. And if he wants to, Galactus is capable of simply ripping the powers out of a person, no matter what those powers may entail, such as when he drained the power of the Inhuman Sphinx.

Superpower Bestowal

Galactus is able to share the Power Cosmic with beings he calls his ‘heralds’, granting them similar abilities to himself such as control over energy and matter, flight, and cosmic awareness. He has done this with several heralds over time such as the Silver Surfer, Terrax the Tamer, Stardust, Firelord, the Fallen One, and Air-Walker (and Aunt May for some reason). Even still, he can augment the capabilities of others without giving them the Power Cosmic, such as when he was able to give Dazzler the durability to survive a black hole. Given that Galactus can give the Power Cosmic to others, it’s very much possible that he can simply just take the Power Cosmic back from individuals. Surfer has shown the ability to steal powers from others before, such as when she showed that he was capable of stealing the Power Cosmic from another Power Cosmic wielder. He also absorbed Hulk’s gamma radiation, transforming him back into Bruce Banner. However, we soon learned that Surfer also gained Hulk’s ability to increase his strength with his rage.

Power Augmentation

Galactus is able to use the cosmic energy imbued within him to amplify his attacks. He was able to enhance his physical strikes against the In-Betweener, who was powered up by the Soul Gem.

Immortality

Galactus has been alive since the dawn of the Earth-616 universe, and similarly, is said to be destined to be there at the heat death end of the universe, and there when the new universe comes about. By nature of being composed of pure energy, he also does not need certain necessities that your average mortal would need, such as oxygen or rest. As seen below, Galactus can reconstitute himself from complete physical and spiritual destruction, even when the very abstract representation of Death is trying to stop him from doing so.

Regeneration

Through sheer force of will, Galactus is able to revive not only himself, but anyone he so chooses, and Death is ultimately unable to stop him even when he tries to do so. He was able to reconstruct his body physically despite being completely annihilated, even down to his very soul.

Elemental Manipulation

Galactus on certain occasions has shown control over various elements, such as when he summoned what appear to be large fireballs against the Silver Surfer. Galactus also implied he could encase the Human Torch in ice.

Gravity Manipulation

Galactus was able to stagnate the gravitational pull of a black hole, and go against it by creating a construct energy net to pull Silver Surfer, the Elders of the Universe, and Nova out of it.

Light Manipulation

Can emit light so blinding and bright it was stated to be “more pure and bright than the first white light of creation”.

Technopathy

Galactus’ technology is very unique to him, as it comes from his world in a previous universe and as such, no one has approached his scientific and technological knowledge in manipulating the technologies of Taa. As shown above, he can easily interface with technology so much so that Mr. Fantastic was impressed. He was able to summon his worldship from the far side of his universe, showing control at a far higher range across the stars.

Invisibility

Galactus can use molecular barriers above and below him to make him appear invisible to any onlookers.

Herald Summoning

The Heralds of Galactus are the servants he has imbued with the Power Cosmic with one purpose in mind; find Galactus planets to sustain his cosmic hunger. Though all of his heralds are imbued with the Power Cosmic, each have their own unique way of using it and its abilities, with their own thoughts and desires as well. These heralds include:

Silver Surfer: Easily his most well-known herald, Silver Surfer was once known as Norrin Radd, an astronomer from the planet Zenn-La, becoming his herald to save his homeworld and turning into a metallic-skinned alien with a cosmic surfboard.

Terrax the Tamer: Terrax the Tamer was a former dictator who became a herald of Galactus in an attempt to find a more cruel and tyrannical herald as opposed to Silver Surfer’s more noble nature. He has the ability to move rock and stone to his whim, and not without his deadly battle axe that can crack a planet in two.

Air-Walker: Without Silver Surfer, Galactus sought a suitable replacement, and chose a Xandarian to become his herald, eventually dying at the hand of the Ovoid alien race, having to have his consciousness put in the body of a robotic replacement, with a self-repairing circuitry and cosmic battery to power his abilities.

Firelord: Once a Xandarian, Firelord was brainwashed into the servitude of Galactus with the innate ability to wield fire on a cosmic level with a double-ended staff of fire.

Stardust: Stardust is an Ethereal, a powerful alien entity, and regained his powers when Galactus made him a herald. Like Galactus, Stardust has a body composed of pure energy that allows them to heal from any physical attack.

The Destroyer: For a time, Galactus had deemed a Destroyer armor his herald as a trade-agreement for Firelord's freedom until it was stolen by Loki. It presumably has all of its natural powers amped by the Power Cosmic.

Resistances

Absolute Zero: Unphased being near absolute zero temperatures in space.

Power Absorption: nobody be absorbing his power

Physics Manipulation: Galactus is composed of cosmic energies to which the regular laws of physics don't apply, and Galactus also lacks any dimensionality.

Gravity Manipulation: According to R-11, Galactus would be unaffected by a black hole.

Telekinesis: Galactus was able to set himself upright after a telekinetic assault from the Beyonder that left him on the ground

Mental Manipulation/Telepathy: Magneto and Charles Xavier working together barely managed to create a psionic surge powerful enough to gain his notice. As a reflex, Galactus sends psionic feedback that causes a massive explosion at Magneto's base, showing incredible mental defenses. Galactus has also been able to resist mind reading from Oblivion, the abstract representation of nothingness and the end of Marvel’s entire creation.

Battlefield Removal: Galactus was able to resist the effects of a trans-temporal anomaly device that was supposed to send Galactus to the farthest reaches of space and time, declaring himself the beginning and end with no mechanism being his equal.

Matter Manipulation: matter manipulation don’t be mattering

Soul Manipulation: The Power Cosmic replaces the auras/souls of its users, acting as their soul rather than having a soul of their own, and Thanos described Galactus as being beyond the power of the Soul Stone which has an infinite multiverse within it. Surfer, who has a portion of the Power Cosmic was able to resist soul-stealing attempts from the In-Betweener and Mephisto.

Conceptual Manipulation: Endured being plagued with conceptual hunger, and is immune to the In-Betweeners’ power over dichotomies.

Reality Warping: Galactus’ powers would upscale from Silver Surfer who was able to take a blast from the reality warping Reality Gem and broke free from its reality warping effects.

Existence Erasure: Silver Surfer who has only a portion of the Power Cosmic was able to resist being erased from existence on a physical and spiritual level.

Unicron

Physiology

Singularity

Unicron exists as a Multiversal Singularity which means that across the comics, the cartoons (G1, Armada, Prime, etc) it is all the same Unicron but just living multiple lives at the same time.

Immortality

“As long as hatred exists, I shall remain impervious to attack”. This quote is the definition of how Unicron's immortality works, when there is hatred, there is Unicron.

Regeneration

Thanks to hatred, Unicron is capable of regenerating from damage. Most notably when he regenerated from all timelines being erased.

Resurrection

As shown above, Unicron can resurrect himself by putting his spark into a nearby planet and absorbing the energy of the planet and its inhabitants. He's also able to put his consciousness into other bodies via others absorbing his energy. As a result, even after being defeated, Unicron managed to be revived once Galvatron attacked Optimus.

Conceptual Manipulation

He be manipulating the concepts or something, I think it’s because he’s actually hatred or whatever.

Energon

The food, blood, currency, ammunition, of Cybertronians. Energon powers everything on Cybertron, its weapons and its people, and Megatron is no exception. It's also useful to get away with violence in comics.

Dark Energon

But on the other hand, Dark Energon otherwise known as The Blood of Unicron, Sparks of Unicron and the Anti-spark is a corrupt form of Energon and supposedly a much more powerful form than the Standard. It has a bunch of radical effects and has many different properties, such as:

- Can give a power boost when ingested by those who are strong enough. (Best examples include Megatron and Starscream in Transformers Prime) It makes them much stronger, faster but also much more aggressive.

- It is capable of resurrecting and controlling the dead.

- Those who’ve ingested Dark Energon can be not only controlled by Unicron but can also prevent said ingestor from entering the allspark. (pretty much the afterlife)

- Dark Energon has shown to be able to bring the user back to life. However constant usage forces you to be stuck in a limbo existence.

- Megatron proclaimed after ingesting Dark Energon into his spark like a super smart person, that he could hear Unicron's thoughts.

- Capable of being created into various weapons such as hammers, lances, blasters, etc.

- Prolonged exposure to Dark Energon can cause weakness and possibly even death.

- A Dark energon withdrawal turns the user into a raving brute desperate to do anything for more. If the craving isn't satisfied, the user devolves into a beast-like state and eventually dies. (Don't do drugs.)

- Consumption/Exposure to Dark Energon can be fatal to organic’s as seen in Transformers Prime when Raphael was almost killed after Megatron attacked Bumblebee with Raphael inside in vehicle mode.

Unicron Virus/Influence/ Madness Manipulation

The Unicron Virus is an infection that drives the victim into insanity and madness. Unicron was able to do this to an entire planet while he himself was weakened. Even just being in an area where the Virus is at will instantly make the victim mad in a matter of seconds. The Virus can even be used to assimilate those into servants of Unicron, remaking their bodies in the process. However, that's not the only thing Unicron needs to drive his opponents crazy. For example, in Energon, Shockblast tried to absorb Unicron's energy which drove him mad. Even Unicron’s spark landing on planet Yst caused all of its population to go insane.

Angolmois

Another type of energy coming from Unicron, angolmois energy is a type of energy that can transform a person’s thoughts into reality. Angolmois Energy is able to create new bodies, turn regular animals into bots, resurrect the dead, change the entire climate of a planet, etc.

Size Manipulation

He beeg and can get beeger.

Creation

He can make things.

Energy Manipulation

Unicron is able to create large blasts of energy at an opponent, from either his eyes, hands or even his mouth. As shown in the gif above, even able to create energy Blasts that look straight out of Dragon Ball. Unicron is able to create lightning that can disintegrate people, and even surround his planet mode in it which can be fired to launch an attack.

Energy Protection

He’s constantly projecting his (feelings) energy onto others. Gaslight gatekeep girlboss.

(He shoots lasers)

Absorption

Unicron is able to absorb energy attacks, which is described as feeding him. Unicron is able to convert any attack thrown at him and convert the energy into his own body, which allows him to become stronger.

Matter Manipulation

He can manipulate matter.

…But in the eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeend! It didn’t even maaaaaaaaaaatterrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

Biological Manipulation

bi·o·log·i·cal

/ˌbīəˈläjək(ə)l/

adjective

1.

relating to biology or living organisms.

^He can manipulate that.

Shapeshifting

Unicron has a very nice shape. He can change it. It’s why he’s a Transformer I think (Wow!).

Telepathy

He’s gonna telepathy all over those other guys.

Precognition

Unicron senses things before they happen apparently.

Mind Control

Unicron is able to dominate the minds of those around him, even his very presence can drive lesser beings mad. And those that seek to serve him are completely enthralled to his will, losing all free will they ever had. Unicron was able to completely mind control an entire civilization, including Decepticons and Junkoids.

Possession

Unicron has the ability to possess other beings, notably in Transformers: Prime as he took over Megatron’s body as a host. As another example, he managed to control the likes of Rodimus, just by using their emotion.

Astral Projection

He can make astral projections (projecting again I see…..)

Summoning

Unicron is able to summon beings from multiple dimensions, which can affect the multiverse as a result.

Time Manipulation

He can time manipulate.

Time Travel

He can time travel.

Space Manipulation

He can space manipulate.

Dimensional Travel

He can dimension travel.

Reality Warping

He can warp reality.

Existence Erasure

As shown above, Unicron's mere presence can cause quantum shockwaves that erase even galaxies from existence.

“Regenesis” Ores

In IDW, Unicorn went on a path of destruction which resulted in him consuming the energy of the Ores Shockwave originally used as part of his Regenesis plan. Below are the abilities granted through them.

Ore-1: Time - Allows control over time, mainly traveling through it. It can also BFR people through time.

Ore-2: Death - Causes matter to decay and drains a victim of their lifeforce.

Ore-3: Size - Not seen on panel but likely controls size.

Ore-4: Gravity - Provides control over gravitational fields. It is also responsible for Victorian’s gravitational abilities, which could tear Devastator apart.

Ore-5: Combination - Not seen on panel but can assumably fuse things together.

Ore-6: Cold - Allows the user to drain heat from an object or person, being able to turn an entire planet into a permanent winter.

Ore-7: Change - Allows transmutation. It can turn matter into energy. It also allows for self healing.

Ore-8: Destruction - Creates radioactive crystals that eventually induce insanity. They are also highly explosive

Ore-9: Space - Allows teleportation throughout the universe, it can also work on others.

Ore-10: Deception - Allows reprogramming of a victim's mind.

Ore-11: Evolution - This ore mutates a Cybertronian into a stronger and more versatile form.

Ore-12: Protection - Creates a suit of armor around the user or others. This armor can adapt and change its form to suit the user's needs.

Forms

Galactus

Necro-Galactus

In an alternate reality, set thousands of years after Earth had become a barren wasteland, Galactus came back to consume Earth like he had attempted all that time ago. After a brutal fight with Rune King Thor, Galactus was eventually defeated when Thor attacked and impaled him with the All Black Necrosword. As Galactus began devouring Mars, the Necrosword, which Galactus had believed to be destroyed, manifested inside of him and corrupted him. Turning him into the Butcher of Worlds. In this state, Galactus devoured countless worlds with reckless abandon until eventually being defeated by Ego the Living Planet, who absorbed the Necrosword after being impaled by it.

Lifebringer

In the Ultimates Comics, Galactus was trapped by the Ultimates and had his very nature transformed. Now instead of devouring worlds, he could create and restore them. This was viewed as an upset in the cosmic balance by some, and brought before the Living Tribunal, but Galactus successfully argued that his new state could be one of great benefit to the multiverse, instead of one of danger, and was able to stay the way he was.

This being Marvel Comics, within short order this was reverted and Galactus was back to his planet consuming ways. In this form, Galactus at his best has access to the Wellspring of Life which theoretically has all the power of the 8th Cosmos.

Abstract Form

Galactus is a being of pure energy, contained in his bodysuit, but the state of his existence…is a little more complicated. Galactus is stated to be one of the abstracts, conceptual entities that embody the universe and do not have physical forms, as those are granted to them by the Manifestations, who give them M-Bodies, of which are infinitesimal compared to their true power. Abstracts are beings that exist and operate in the Superflow, the highest level of reality, with a hierarchy where the Living Tribunal serves at the top, and below him are beings described as the “four pillars of reality”; Eternity, Infinity, Death, and Oblivion.

During his fight with the In-Betweener, we learn where Galactus stands in relativity to some of these beings. Galactus was able to fight the In-Betweener while he was amplified by the Soul Gem, the In-Betweener being an Abstract that embodies the barrier and division between dichotomies, existing as embodying "a concept of concepts''. In the fight, Galactus is described in contrast as being devoid of these dualities, an “absence of opposites' that deviates from the In-Betweeners’ power over unions.

Furthermore, we learn Galactus is uncreated and untouched from the interplay between Death and Eternity as a result, as their existences are a dichotomy over the fundamental concepts of life and death, of existence and non-existence, and Galactus transcends their very nature due to his neutral alieness in the natural order of the cosmos. Thus, his role in the order of the cosmos is of its own, being there for the beginning and end of all things as the filter feeder on life to maintain this balance, all the while being unbound from the concepts and aspects of life and death that are wrapped around existence itself.

In this manner, Galactus would evolve to become the very energy that would create the 9th Cosmos after the 8th Cosmos would die, indicating that he would become more powerful than any version of Galactus throughout history at the end of creation.

Unicron

Planet Form

Note that while his main planet form is his own planet, he has also been one of Cybertron's moons and even the Earth itself.

Toy

Absolute unit (Obese Pikachu). Btw every toy of him is technically a part of the real Unicron. 🙃

Unicron Pig

angry bird (also an absolute unit)

Original Form

From the original G1 film, the original Unicron was nothing special compared to the other versions but paint the picture of what Unicron looks like throughout the series.

Ark Unicron

Raiders of the Lost Unicron.

Titanium Unicron

I can only assume this is Unicron but titanium.

Generations Unicron

Unicron but he plays Sonic Generations.

Armada Body

Throughout the universes of Transformers, Unicron gets a different body every time he's in a different Universe, but sometimes he gets different bodies in one universe. Such as the Unicron Trilogy, where he gets a new body every time. The body comes with small drone orbs which target anything on his body.

Cybertron Body

After his fall yet again in Energon, Unicron gains a new body by traveling to a planet and absorbing it, destroying its habitats during it, and gains a new body. Instead of transforming into a planet, this form lets Unicron transform into a tank. The body has an anti-proton pulse cannon, which can fire dense particle Beams. The body also comes with a matter stream projector which can shock and paralyze targets, and Energon Conduction Spikes which can absorb spark energy from the target. In this form Unicron’s Also capable of folding transdimensional space to give himself nearly limitless range.

Energy Galvatron Form

Unicron | Beast Wars Transformers Wiki | Fandom

Idk what this is but I’m assuming it’s something Galvatron related and also probably has something to do with energy.

True Form

Everything has a true form these days so he probably does too.

Cosmology

Marvel

Marvel has a vast cosmology. It starts out with a singular universe, infinite in size and then expanding into an infinite number of alternate timelines every quantum moment. With every subconscious and unconscious action and nonaction, an infinity of alternate timelines (universes) is generated. And then for every one of those universes, an infinite amount of alternate universes is generated over and over again, AD Infinitum. This simply starts from a single universe, turning into its own subsection of the multiverse. Each of these universes represents a manifestation body of Multi-Eternity. The greater multiverse is much, much bigger, already being described as infinite and even transfinite (an infinite series of infinite numbers, each greater than each other - this all starts with aleph-null, the baseline infinity). Atop the transfinitely-growing multiverse are an infinite number of spatial dimensions, even being referred to as planes of reality (of which there has been implied to be a transfinite number). And of course, Marvel being Marvel does not just have one multiverse, but rather an infinite number of multiverses and megaverses as well making up an omniverse.

This omniverse and all multiverses and universes within are kept separate by the multiversal Superflow which is conceptually transcended by the Superflow of Dreamtime or the “true” Superflow. This Superflow is a conceptual space that holds abstract, metaphysical concepts and archetypes that are beyond time, space, and form. The Superflow holds many layers such as the Microverse, Macroverse, Astral Plane, No-Space, and the Multiplane. The realm of abstracts, Overspace, sits within and atop the Superflow of Dreamtime. Otherworld sits separately from Overspace and contains pocket dimensions like Blightspoke which contains dead realities. Beyond the Superflow of Dreamtime would be the Neutral Zone which is also located between and beyond the multiverse. It is the edge of science but also so much more as it is an archetypal space for primal forms beyond that of the Superflow. Just as the Superflow views all underneath, the Neutral Zone views it. It is the final edge to the 8th Cosmos before it (Multi-Eternity of the 8th Cosmos) can be viewed as an infinitesimal speck within the Outside. Every iteration of Eternity grows more powerful than the previous one up until they ascend to their afterlife. The First Firmament is bigger than all though.

Transformers

The Transformers Multiverse is both vast and complex, with its own multiverse and dimensions to boot. To begin, each timeline is its own separate universe with its own “stream designation”. Stream Designation meaning in this context a specific point in time in which the universe itself sprung into being inside the greater multiverse. Also, related universes are grouped into what are called “Universal Clusters”, which in layman’s terms, is the fancy way of designating each unique continuity in Transformers media. The major Clusters are designated as follows:

Primax: Gen 1 continuity as well as the Beast Era

Viron: 2001 Robots in Disguise continuity

Aurex: The Unicron Trilogy continuity

Tyran: The Live Action Movie continuity

Maigus: The Transformers Animated continuity. To clarify, this is specifically for the show called Transformers Animated, and its designated media. Not all animated Transformers media in general.

Uniend: The Aligned continuity family

There also exists many other clusters including the Rovio cluster, where Angry Birds crossed over with Transformers. Or the Xobitor cluster, for the Robotix series. In short, if it involves Transformers in any way, it is a part of the multiverse. While at first glance incredibly dense and rather obtuse, thankfully for this writer the Autobot Vector Prime is here to assist. Vector Prime is Primus’s chosen guardian of time and space, and often travels the vast multiverse as needed to fulfill his duties. As such he is the foremost expert in these matters, and has explained it in depth. To share just one quote from Ask Vector Prime:

Interestingly, though there are an uncountable infinity of modalities for these universes to exist in, they tend to unerringly snap into one of twelve stable quantum-hyperwave endstates. Though I myself do not find it necessary to catalog each of these outcomes, I imagine Rhinox would choose to label them I through XII. Thus, one could travel to Primax 700.12-N4 Kappa IV, where Tigatron and Airazor are able to live blissfully together. Or one could examine Primax 1099.01-N6 Kappa XI, where Tarantulas led a battle fleet to prehistoric Earth, leading to disastrous consequences.

Sounds horrifying? Complex? Mind meltingly absurd? Good. But let's break this down into simpler terms:

Each universe has an infinity of modalities they can exist in. Every single action that anything or anyone takes creates a new Universe and Universal stream. These new universes then spawn new universes, which of course spawn more universes and universal streams, cascading indefinitely. Vector Prime also alludes to their being at least 17, possibly 21 dimensions that exist above the multiverse. Again, being a higher dimensional being whose sole purpose is to keep track of all this, there is no reason to doubt his information. Furthermore we have reason to believe that these dimensions are superior to each other from the translated Alternity story here, as the Story of Binaltech depicts the higher-dimensional metal Alternium as having a true form massively larger than its appearance in 3-dimensional reality. This is supported by the IDW comics, which feature the Warren, a quantum tunnel which spans both space and time. The Warren is in fact the corpse of a higher-dimensional being, which is stated to exist in every universe, with IDW having infinite timelines/universes, meaning a higher-dimensional being in Transformers is so big that their corpse spans infinite universes across both space and time.

At the highest end, all of reality is just the first sphere in the Tree of Life, a cosmological structure in Transformers with 10 spheres in total. The first sphere, material reality, is akin to a metaphor in comparison to the rest of the tree, directly stated to be like the surface of a mirror and only the tip of the iceberg compared to the larger tree. Each sphere represents an abstract concept, and at the top of the tree is the Godhead, the Allspark, where all Transformers go to when they die. As the Allspark is a part of Primus himself, this would represent the highest possible size for beings like him such as Unicron.

Scaling

Galactus

Galactus has fought… to be frank, a lot of heavy hitters over the years. From heroes to gods to satanic beings and beyond, he’s seen it all and has matched if not beaten them with ease. Making him applicable to scale to several characters on a similar level of power (he literally invented what a “herald” is if that’s any indication).

Silver Surfer

The herald of yours truly, Norrin’s feats of strength and speed should all be replicable by Galactus.

Heralds of Galactus

All of the heralds of Galactus like Silver Surfer have the Power Cosmic imbued within them due to himself, thus he should be capable of scaling to the feats they have performed.

Thor

Even one of Earth’s Mightiest cannot stand up to Galactus in sheer power, with the exception of The God Blast. Almost nothing Thor can do can make Galactus even notice his power.

Odin

Galactus has matched and traded blows equally with Odin until neither could retain the will to fight.

Dormammu

Galactus has, at one point, one-shot Dormammu. Damn.

Scarlet Witch

Galactus has defeated all Avengers at once on several occasions, this would of course also include the Scarlet Witch, who at her peak, is capable of feats like…

Celestials

Galactus has matched and beaten the Celestials before. While satiated, he was even able to one-shot a Celestial.

Mephisto

Galactus was capable of matching Mephisto in his own realm, despite ultimately falling short.

In-Betweener

Galactus was able to trade hits with and stalemate an Soul Gem amped In-Betweener in a prolonged fight.

The Living Tribunal

The Living Tribunal is considered an equal to Galactus as fundamental orders of the omniverse.

Eternity

As with The Living Tribunal, Eternity is another order of the omniverse and beyond that Galactus is relatively on par with in status.

Unicron

Unicron is consistently depicted to be above practically everyone in Transformers, besides Primus obviously. He scales to plenty of continuities via being everywhere and being on a higher level of existence.

Optimus Prime

Marvel Comics Optimus is the strongest version of G1 Prime via scaling to JG1, and unless it's the Matrix, Unicron is above him.

Megatron/Galvatron

Marvel Comics Megs has been able to fight Galavatron 2 who's crossed over to the JG1 universe and fights a bunch of characters. So we're going to talk about the ones they scale to

Alternity

Alternity is one of, if not, the strongest versions of Transformers. Unicron is considered above everyone in Alternity via Vector Prime

  • Hytherion was so big that he masked a quadrant of a galaxy

    • Is able to scream so greatly that it shook outerspace

  • An attack was so great that it's considered a knife slicing a galaxy

  • Megatron is stated to be able to destroy galaxies

The 13 Primes

Were the first transformers created by Primus and were each given certain abilities to battle Unicron. However that also isn't the only reason for scaling, as according to Vector Prime, Unicron is barely aware of their presence. Meaning that Unicron is likely above them.

Primus

Yeah don't think anything should be said about this lol

Autobots/Decepticons Throughout Continuities

Weaknesses

Galactus

As they say, the bigger they are, the harder they fall. And here is no different with our favorite purple man of massive proportions. Galactus quite often disregards and underestimates beings that regularly defeat him by outsmarting his plans such as his first issue against the Fantastic Four where he underestimates them and is defeated by The Ultimate Nullifier. His stature would also leave him open to attacks as there is more area to be covered with blows (even if it rarely affects him). His biggest weakness perhaps is that of his own hunger, as his power level is very determined based on how well fed he has been throughout his journey across the cosmos. Said power is also susceptible to being taken, such as when Dr. Doom took the Power Cosmic from him with the Power Cosmic Siphoner, and losing this power can put him at risk of turning back into lil ol’ Galan.

He also lost and got eaten by some zombies imagine lmao.

Unicron

Officially he has no known weakness besides a certain weapon which we'll explain in a bit. But as stated with Galactus, his large stature would lead to attacks being much more likely to hit. But he also can be defeated if you're able to match his power and have ways to destroy his singularity. Like when the Star Saber fused with the Terminus Blade, they are capable of affecting Singularities.

Most prominent among Unicron’s weaknesses is the Matrix of Leadership, which was made as a conduit for the power of Primus so that it may be used by the Primes and is the greatest thing Unicron fears most as it is the only thing that can kill him. It should be noted that while the Matrix of Leadership is the one thing that can kill Unicron, there have been some occasions where it did not do so. In the G1 cartoon, after the events of the Movie where Rodimus Prime used the Matrix inside of Unicron. In the third season of the cartoon, Unicron is revealed to still be alive albeit as just a head. In Transformers Cybertron, it is stated that the Matrix can temporarily disable Unicron which further proves that the Matrix isn’t always capable of killing Unicron. In Transformers Prime, Optimus Prime uses the Matrix to stop Unicron from reawakening and inadvertently destroying the Earth (as in this continuity, Unicron is the Earth itself.) However this doesn’t kill him but instead puts his body into dormancy.

Verdict

Stats

Galactus is one of the most powerful abstract entities in the Marvel universe. As far as stats are concerned, it’s safe to say Galactus is superior when considering the scope of Marvel’s cosmology. When you have a multiverse made up of a transfinite (greater than infinity—an infinite set of infinities) number of universes that are each infinite and ever-expanding, it’s safe to say that it’s gonna be difficult to get more powerful than that. Thankfully Unicron is… [insert Unicron arguments] but Marvel’s cosmology obviously doesn’t stop there. Each universe in the multiple duplicates and branches off into an infinite number of alternate timelines and universes every quantum moment and this goes for each and every one of the transfinite number of universes. Then you have alternate realms, dimensions, and higher planes of existence within the scope of the multiverse. The multiverse itself has an infinite number of spatial dimensions and there are arguments that each that singular universes themselves are infinitely layered upon themselves. But it’s not just one multiverse! There’s an infinite number of multiverses in a greater multitude of multiverses.

All of these multiverses and their higher dimensions of existence are held apart by the Superflow, which itself is layered to become fully abstract, conceptual, and archetypal. Essentially, at its best, the Superflow is merely a concept and its inhabitants are the very representations of abstract ideologies and platonic forms given a “physical” shape that you can “imagine.” Galactus is one such being. He is an abstract entity that represents balance within existence which alone would make his existence completely beyond the scope of any dimensionality in Marvel. However, he also has feats of fighting other abstract entities like the In-Betweener whose mere manifestation bodies represent the concept of concepts, layering his existence and power towards a more fundamental level. In his “true form,” within the Overspace (an abstract plane of reality likely representing the higher planes of the Superflow), Galactus would scale to the “true forms” of the abstracts which would be infinitely more powerful than their M-Bodies.

Beyond the Superflow and Overspace would be the Neutral Zone or the “Exo-Space,” a dimension where positive and negative matter co-exists. This Neutral Zone is also the outer edge of the omniverse, in that its final and peak layers are the final layers of Eternity before the omniverse meets the Outside, which is the total and complete nothingness outside of the totality of Multi-Eternity. Exo-Space houses predatory, primal concepts even beyond that of the Superflow to the point where the dimension is completely transcendent of the lower abstract planes. When plagued with a conceptual hunger by Logos—who was capable of killing the Living Tribunal—Galactus was shown to be capable of completely consuming all of Eternity down to the primal scraps of the First Firmament. As in, Galactus could consume the entirety of the 8th Cosmos and every single cosmological realm and their energies until all of it ceased to be. Given that Eternity is a meta-conceptual entity that holds numerous archetypal layers within to the point of forming the very foundational scraps of plot itself, that’s pretty impressive and more impressive than anything shown by Transformers cosmology.

Lifebringer Galactus at his peak would also scale to Multi-Eternity of the 8th Cosmos via being the Wellspring of Life within Eternity and therefore, theoretically holding just as much of an infinity of power as Eternity. Now yes, this is technically a theory but keep in mind that at the end of his story, Galactus becomes the very energy that forms the 9th Cosmos, which would grow and evolve to be even more powerful than the 8th Cosmos iteration of Multi-Eternity as described above. Even without this, a “base” Lifebringer Galactus would upscale from his normal state of power to the point he can scrap with Master Order and Lord Chaos without much issue. Questionable Living Tribunal scaling aside, this would mean he’d be able to fight the true, abstract forms of these entities by himself without much trouble.

And of course, there is the fight with the Scrier and the Other which threatened to destroy the 7th iteration of the omniverse/Multi-Eternity which, despite being less impressive than the 8th iteration feat, would likely still fall within a similar tier to Lifebringer Galactus scrapping with Master Order and Lord Chaos, showing that even in base, a “well-fed” Galactus is very much capable of threatening large portions of the Marvel cosmology when he decides to stop pulling his punches.

And as far as speed goes, yeah, Galactus might not have too many showings of what the average person would consider quantifiable speed but do keep in mind that he’s an abstract entity completely transcendent of the concepts of space and time. Speed does not matter to him and it’s very much irrelevant to this fight. Even so, characters like Thor and Silver Surfer have feats exceeding infinity itself and Surfer in particular has outraced the conceptual eradication of all possibilities and narratives within creation, including infinite probabilities of his own death. And yes, he has outraced himself just like Wally West and he only has a finite portion of what would be Galactus’ infinite power cosmic. Galactus is so fast that the concept of speed is irrelevant to him.

Unicron is also very strong and fast, but not as strong and fast.

Arsenal & Abilities

He has a lot of them. Unicron also has a lot of them. Galactus better so he win.

Tertiary Factors

There are a lot of them. That’s the end of the sentence.

Conclusion

"He did as I wished. For I required New Heralds -- Heralds of Life Itself. Heroes to fight the infinite crime and unchain the Cosmos. As a new reality dawns -- Will you save it? Will you guard the flickering flame of being against the Ultimate Darkness? Do you stand... With Galactus?"

Advantages:

  • Stats are far superior overall, thanks to Marvel’s cosmology

  • Potentially equal speed in immeasurable/irrelevant ends

  • Is more intelligent

  • Cosmic Awareness is incredibly beneficial in a fight

  • Likely has as much experience as Unicron, especially in fighting abstract entities like Unicron on a weekly basis whereas Unicron does not

  • The Ultimate Nullifier possesses potent erasure on such a level that Unicron cannot resist its effects

  • Is actually a character

Disadvantages:

  • Arguably slower by finite numbers

  • Absorbing Unicron's energy could potentially affect him

  • Powers such as time travel or space manipulation are ultimately meaningless due to Unicron’s similar form of abstract existence

"Thus will begin a new age. The age of Chaos!"

Advantages:

  • Arguably faster in finite speed

  • Potentially equal speed in immeasurable/irrelevant ends

  • Likely has as much experience as Galactus

  • Voiced by Orson Welles (the only person powerful enough to summon Leonard Nimoy)

  • IDW Design solos all of Galactus's designs

  • Looks like he has facial hair

  • Has been ignoring Galactus’ C&D letters (Ummm hello? Based department?)

Disadvantages:

  • Stats are far weaker overall with a lower cosmology

  • Less intelligent

  • Outclassed in battle experience, despite likely being as old as Galan

  • Cosmic Awareness will allow Galactus to know everything about Unicron, including his powers and how to best counter them…

  • No counters towards the Ultimate Nullifier

  • You can destroy his destiny

Galactus wins.

Final Tally

Galactus (6) - Akhil, Bang, Hippo, Why am I here, Soma, Discount Ginger

Unicron (4) - Huntimis, Pasbros, Spirit, Adam

Undecided (1) - Guruguru wa

Apologies again for the state of this blog, our volunteers really were super busy. It happens unfortunately, we move. And we’re thankful to the work that people did manage to put in during such a busy time. However…

Before We Go

That wraps up another year of Death Battle! Big thanks to everyone who volunteered or contributed to our blogs throughout the year, it was a great ride, and we seriously could not do this without y’all.

For those of you wondering about an update, our bonus blog Akatsuki VS Espada VS Shichibukai is still in production and coming along. Due to the nature of the matchup, it is naturally going to be a much more long-term project than any of our usual bonus blogs, and will be worked on outside of our usual schedule. In addition to analyzing the matchup as we normally do, we intend to write an entire narrative for the fight, as well as potentially commission music and art for it, to really do justice to such a gargantuan matchup that the actual show would never have the budget for. Unfortunately, due to this extreme amount of extra effort, on top of the fact that the matchup is highly complex to begin with, we cannot provide a release window at this time, nor promise that it will be out anytime soon.

That being said, for those of you who may be hoping to see bonus blogs during the season break? We have some good news! Cue the music.

  2. I'm happy Galactus wins, but I don't know, the conclusion and verdict prediction feels very underwhelming.

  6. Galactus claps. No surprise there.

"Comparable to Valkyrie, who searched the ten realms and every point in between in the blink of an eye. (1.5768 undecillion c, likely immeasurable)"

I pray for the day the G1 stops using this feat and just reads it. The text clearly states that Valkyrie arrived in the blink of an eye to the location, after searching the ten realms. You can read the double hyphen meant to separate the text and to show the blink of an eye was done after.

It doesn't change anything and there are plenty more immeasurable feats in Marvel, but please it's right there.

When Thor vs Superman becomes a thing I'm going to inevitably to read the Valkyrie feat and cry.

  7. Considering this season was already big, at least the blog came out as best as possible. Still entertaining and hyped for the finale.

As for the bonus blogs, they are very exciting to see and hope to help out if I can. The first one is gonna be cool to see.

Good blog overall to finish the year, and man was it a banger.
