Death Battle Predictions: Batman VS Iron Man

Batman, the caped Dark Knight of DC Comics.

Iron Man, the genius Armored Avenger of Marvel Comics.

Technology is a marvelous thing. While the average mind uses it for entertainment, but the smartest minds use it to build machines that help the planet or weapons of mass destruction. And those even smarter than that can build machines designed to rival gods. Whether they be apocalyptic warlords or celestial beings, for as long as they prove to be a danger to the universe, there will always be those who stand in their way. And if anyone is capable of building god killing tech, it’s these two.

The triumphant return of Bruce Wayne and Tony Stark will show that there is little limit to what technology can do when you set your mind to it. After fighting the likes of the friendly neighborhood web-slinger, the patriotic super soldier, and the king of Wakanda, Batman has had enough, and is entering the ring a fourth time, this time with every suit and every gadget he’s had at his disposal. And who better to compete than the Man of Iron himself? He may have been able to defeat the CEO of Lexcorp, but will Iron Man be able to handle the now powered up Dark Knight? Let’s find out who would win a Death Battle!

Background

Batman

“All men have limits. They learn what they are and learn not to exceed them. I ignore mine.”

Bruce Wayne was born as the only child of Thomas and Martha Wayne, owners of the large Wayne Enterprises business conglomerate. As the heads of a multi-billion dollar empire, the couple had a responsibility to not only raise their son properly and provide him with anything he wanted and needed, but to also take care of their home - Gotham City. Despite their lavish life, the Waynes took it upon themselves to rally efforts to combat the rampant crime and corruption which plagued the streets, and often reminded Bruce of the responsibility he would soon bear.

Whatever happiness the Wayne family enjoyed together came to an end when Bruce was 8 years old. On a night out after watching a play together, a common mugger by the name of Joe Chill held them up and shot Thomas and Martha in cold blood. The traumatized Bruce was left an orphan in the care of his family butler Alfred Pennyworth. Haunted with guilt over his inability to save his parents, Bruce swore vengeance and vowed to eliminate the evils that were responsible for their deaths by taking on the criminal element in Gotham.

Although he had the money to fund this venture thanks to his inheritance, Bruce believed that his mission could not be completed as the spoiled billionaire the public knew him as. He left Gotham as a teenager to travel and educate himself with the greatest professors and mentors on Earth, becoming a master in martial arts, detective work, various fields of science and strategic planning, just to name a few. Upon his homecoming, Bruce was ready to do battle, but questioned himself, wondering what he lacked beyond his skills and resources.

The answer came to him when a bat crashed through his mansion window. Remembering how his fear of the flying mammal had crippled him as a boy, Bruce opted to use that very emotion to fight criminals and fashioned a bat-themed arsenal to do so. By operating at night and exploiting the fear he saw in others, he came to be known in time as the costumed vigilante known as the Batman. Regardless of whether he fights alone or with the aid of his numerous sidekicks and allies from the Justice League, Batman continues to wage his own personal war against the forces of evil, pushing himself beyond the limits of any normal man and honoring his family’s wishes.

Iron Man

“I’m the most intelligent, capable person on the planet. I’m not playing god. All this time, I’ve been playing human.”

You may know him by many names. Tony, Mr. Stark, Tony Stank, and more. He’s a genius. He’s a billionaire. A playboy and a philanthropist. He is Anthony “Tony” Edward Stark, the son of Howard and Maria Stark… well not really.

So it turns out that Tony Stark is not actually the son of Howard Stark, rather he is the son of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, Amanda Armstrong and Jude. Jude was a secret Hydra double-agent which Armanda would later find. This led to a fight between the two that led to Jude’s supposed death. Deciding that Tony would be better off without her - she asked Nick Fury to ensure that her child would have a safe and happy home. Nick decided to leave the child at an orphanage in Sofia,Bulgaria. CEO of Stark Industries, Howard Stark learned of this and decided to adopt the child due to well..extremely complicated circumstances relating to his real son - Arno Stark.

Growing up without realizing that he was adopted or that he had an adopted brother in the form of Arno - he was raised by his adoptive parents. While he had all the money he could ever ask for - life in the Stark Family was less than ideal with his adoptive father becoming an increasing alcoholic and firing off verbal abuse at Stark which ultimately led to Tony turning electronics as a coping mechanism when he was five years old. Growing up, due to Tony’s love of electronics - he studied double majors in physics and engineering. While Tony was incredibly smart, he felt regular life was exciting and would take up dangerous hobbies as a way of giving him the excitement he craved.

His life would change at the age of 21 when Howard and Maria Stark were killed in a car crash. As a result of being the sole inheritor of Stark Industries, Tony inherited Howard’s business, In time, it would expand and develop under Tony’s leadership - turning it from a weapons manufacturer to a multinational corporation that dealt in all matters of sciences.

Life seemed to go back to some sort of normalcy for Tony until during a military demonstration of his technology in Siancong - he countered a booby trap that lodged shrapnel deep into his chest.Taken captive by terrorists, he was told that if he didn’t built weapons for the terrorists then he would not be able to receive the operation to save his life. He agreed to the deal and would meet Ho Yinsen. Rather than building the weapons that he promised the terrorists - together Yensin and Stark would built a suit of armour in order to escape the terrorist compound though in the fight though Yensin died before he could escape with Stark.

Returning back to the US, he decided to scrap his weapons manufacturing and decided that he wanted to become a superhero and decided to name himself - Iron Man as a means of fighting injustice.

Equipment

Batman

Batsuit

Knowing that criminals are a superstitious and cowardly lot, Bruce Wayne decided to don a costume meant to exploit those weaknesses. Deciding to draw inspiration from his fear, Bruce chose to become something capable of striking that same fear into the criminal underworld. Enter the Batsuit.

Composed of Kevlar and a small percentage of Titanium, the Batsuit is bullet-proof, resistant to most forms of attacks (explosions, blunt trauma, falls, etc.), and is also flame-retardant and insulated. The Batsuit is one of, if not, the most popular piece of equipment in Batman’s HUGE arsenal. The Batsuit has been repeatedly updated in order to reflect advances in technology. From his gauntlets to his cowl, the Batsuit contains a piece of equipment and gadget in numerous assorted areas useful to the Dark Knight.

Batsuit Features:

Utility Belt

As a superhero without superpowers, Bruce relies on his training and various gadgets, and what better way to store those gadgets other than his iconic Utility Belt. To prevent the belt from being tampered with, it’s lined with various defense mechanisms that include fingerprint-locking, a tracking system, electric shocks (50,000 volts), stun gas and its own self-destruct mechanism

The utility belt alone contains 140 unique gadget caches. While its exact contents and number of things it can hold is not known due to it continuously changing to fit the situation, some of his most important and standardly carried gear include:

Batarangs

While the name is inspired from the boomerang, these bat-shaped collapsible shurikens are one of the most distinguishable weapons in his trusty Utility Belt and while the standard Batarangs can knock people out with a single hit, he has several variations for a wide range of different jobs:

  • Explosive - Can create a small-big explosion when hit, can be remotely timed as well.

  • Electrified - Well electrocute or taze without their come in contact with or act as an EMP.

  • Acidic - Detonates a vial of acid that can melt through body armor.

  • Thermal - Able to heat the surrounding area, capable of solidifying Clayface.

  • Magnetic - Magnetize surrounding metals, pulling them in.

  • Sonic - Sends out sound frequencies that can rattle brains.

  • Remote Control - A batarang that can be manually controlled once released, has built in brakes.

  • Camera - Capable of remotely taking photos.

  • Fire - Acts similarly to a flare, voice-activated.

  • Energy Disrupter - Creates harmonics at random frequencies that’s capable of temporarily disputing the Ikon Shield (a defense system which creates a gravitational tidal effect).

  • Rocket Thruster - Sends out mini rockets that’s capable of sending someone across the town, voice activated.

  • Boomerang - Self-explanatory.

  • Syringe - Stores drugs that is capable of temporarily knocking out Killer Croc

  • Healing Negation - Laced with an Immune-Response Blocker that slows down healing factors such as the case with the Joker.

  • Silver - Self-explanatory; Made specifically to fight werewolves

  • Iron - Self-explanatory; Made specifically to fight demons

  • Kryptonite - Self-explanatory; Made specifically to fight Kryptonians such as Superman

  • Nth Metal - Made out of Nth Metal, a powerful metal native to the alien world of Thanagar. This metal can negate ghostly entities, magical creatures, and even break enchantments. Batman uses this batarang variant against ghostly enemies such as the Gentleman Ghost.

  • Pure Copper for maximum heat conduction - Capable of going up to 223 BTUs (British Thermal Units) and piercing diamond dust bonded skin.

Tranquilizers/Poisons

Since Batman tends to fight his opponents nonlethally, he would always carry knockout gas to incapacitate his opponents as quickly as possible. He usually carries knockout gas in grenades, highly localized pellets, grenade launchers, darts, and pistols. These knockout drugs are strong enough to take out heavy hitters like Clayface and Killer Croc. Batman’s tranquilizer darts carry a dosage strong enough to knock out two normal-sized men, and a dosage of three darts is enough to kill a human. However, Batman has also carried other drugs and poisons with him such as:

  • Paralytic Toxins - A special chemical solution designed to hypersaturate a person’s body.

  • Adrenaline Darts - Stores a drug that increases a person’s adrenaline to the point that they’re basically running on instinct.

  • Aerosol Chloroform - A smelling salt used to wake up an unconscious person. Batman has a super version with synthetic kryptonite.

  • Anti-Adrenaline - A drug that reduces a person’s adrenaline.

  • Morphine - Strong enough to take out an Apokoliptian God.

  • Nerve Agent/Toxin - Can put someone into a death-like state

  • Tear Gas Grenade - A chemical weapon that stimulates the nerves of the lacrimal gland in the eye to produce tears. In addition, it can cause severe eye and respiratory pain, skin irritation, bleeding, and blindness.

  • Mace Grenade - A deterrent and incapacitant when sprayed in the face. Batman carries a high potency mace that leaves no permanent damage.

  • Memory Erasing Spray - Erases a person’s memory.

  • Pepper Spray - A compound that irritates the eyes to cause a burning sensation, pain, and temporary blindness. Its inflammatory effects cause the eyes to close, temporarily taking away vision. It also causes temporary discomfort and burning of the lungs which causes shortness of breath.

  • Fear Gas - A toxin created by the Scarecrow. It induces involuntary and sometimes irrational fear in its victims' minds, driving them insane.

  • Military Grade Herbicides - Strong enough to kill Poison Ivy’s plant creation

Explosives

What would Batman be if he doesn’t have his explosives, used to either distract his enemies or hurt them in the most painful, non-lethal way possible. That or destroy giant monsters without having to break his moral code. The Dark Knight keeps a variety of explosives and grenades inside his utility belt, using them when the situation demands it. Low power explosives can knock back Red Hood or knock out Killer Moth. Lots of them can take out some Amazons. Mid power explosives can one-shot Killer Croc, destroy 3 Doomsday clones, separate a train, take out large robots, blow a plane in half, and take out a bridge. These mid power explosives can also blast through reinforced steel doors, bank vaults, and underwater submarines. Multiple of them can destroy a series of buildings. High power explosives can damage Metallo, destroy some of Nero’s constructs, hurt Lord Havok, blast into the Red Room, knock an amped Superboy off balance, and blow up a large ice monster. Batman’s most powerful explosives can destroy the tendrils of the alien WMD Z, blow up a Manhunter, destroy Kryptonian war mechs, hurt Titus in the form of an explosive dummy, hurt the Shaggy Man, send Captain Nazi flying through a building, and send a rookie Superman flying out of a building. Here are the types of explosives Batman kept and used during the course of his career.

Cryogenics

Batman carries an assortment of cryogenic weapons capable of freezing his opponents in place. He possesses liquid helium grenades that can cool down a room. Batman can drop a room’s temperature to -100 C by using a Co2 canister, freezing and killing any bugs in the air as a result. He can freeze people with a freeze spray or a freeze ray. Batman also carries a freeze gun to use against pyromaniacs and a grenade that can freeze people solid. Finally, he has a liquid nitrogen capsule that can affect beings with intangibility such as Ghost Soldier.

Foam

Batman carries on him capsules that contain a plastic foam substance that sticks onto people and hardens, incapacitating them in the process. Produced by Wayne Enterprises, these capsules take about 6 seconds to solidify and harden. It can be used to restrain a single person or an entire mob. A variant of this foam can also be used to suppress fire. In addition to capsules, Batman also carries his foam in a gun. Lastly, this foam is strong enough to stop an entire building from being destroyed by a building busting bomb by covering the entirety of it and can contain Black Canary’s Canary Cry.

Energy Weapons

Among Batman’s arsenal are various energy weapons that the Dark Knight uses to get himself out of a sticky situation or to use against heavy hitters that are way out of his league. Batman has various laser cutters that can cut through strong opponents such as Manhunters and Amazo. Other energy weapons that Batman has include a weapon that can hurt Clayface, an energy cannon capable of atomizing a large hole through more than 20 feet of concrete, an energy gun that can knock out a demon possessed Bizarro with one shot, and a gun that generates energy cages that traps people inside once they get shot.

Twin Blades

Batman carries a pair of long swords that are shaped like bat wings in his utility belt for combat. These should be his strongest bladed weapons. Previously bladed weapons Batman has used such as knives and swords were able to cut through a thick cable, a Servant of Order, and an OMAC drone.

Ultrasonic Bat Beacon

Bats don’t make the Batman, right? Nevertheless, he has a device that sends out an ultrasonic signal that can attract swarms of bats to the chosen area, these bats can even carry poison or antidotes in their fangs.

Man-Bat Serum

Desperate times call for desperate measures and if that’s the case he can literally become the very thing he embodies; the Bat. This serum distracially increases his aggression but also his physical capabilities making him strong enough to overpower Heretic who could survive lengthy falls and being hit with a tank shell. It also gives him flight, enhanced durability, control over bats and should give him all other abilities Kirk Langstrom possess such as sonar/echolocation, a sonic scream, superhuman senses, enhanced hearing and regeneration.

Magic Gauntlets

At some point, John Constantine won a pair of magical gauntlets by cheating in a card game with a demon. Because Constantine "doesn't like fighting with his hands", he gave them to Batman. These magic gauntlets allow Batman to fight non-corporeal beings hand-to-hand. A big example is when he used these gauntlets to defeat a hulked up Gentleman Ghost.

Nth Metal Brass Knuckles

With Doctor Fate’s help, Batman constructed brass knuckles out of Nth Metal alloy. Nth Metal is one of the most powerful metals in the DC universe and is native to the alien world of Thanagar. Nth Metal can physically interact with, as well as disrupt, the presence of ghostly entities, magical creatures, and even break enchantments. Batman uses these brass knuckles to fight back against an intangible interdimensional monster.

Hag Stone

The hag stone is a stone with a naturally worn hole through it, allowing Batman to see through magic such as magically induced invisibility.

Cloak of Erasure

At some point in his career, Batman saved Zatanna’s father from Neron. As a reward, she gifted Batman with the Cloak of Erasure, an invisibility cloak that magically conceals the user from sight.

Ro-Bats

Batman has ordered at least 1,000 robotic drones at his disposal from Wayne Enterprises in case a situation requires their use. These drones are based on Lex Luthor’s G.I. robots. For a man like Bruce Wayne, these drones are pretty cheap since they cost $5,000 per robot. A single Ro-Bat is capable of lifting 10-20 tons. The Ro-Bats can also casually tear apart and bend steel blast doors, and a dozen or so of them can lift a large cargo ship. These robots are also capable of flight, allowing them to travel at high speeds and blitz Man-Bats. The Ro-Bats are also pretty tough since they can take rocket launchers and machine gun fire head on.

Bat Nuke

A few years back into the past, the Joker had a nuclear bomb for whatever nefarious schemes he planned to use it for. However, Batman stopped the Clown Prince of Crime and took the nuke at almost the cost of his life. Since then, Batman has kept the bomb inside the batcave for world threatening emergencies, such as when he considered using it when Despero tricked an army of alien parasites into invading Earth and almost did.

Platinum Kryptonite

Inside the Phantom Zone is an impossible universe. Inside that impossible universe is an impossible planet. On that impossible planet is a small, impossible rock. That rock is actually platinum kryptonite. This variant of kryptonite has the effect of permanently bestowing the full range of Kryptonian super-powers to non-powered humanoids just by touching it. Superman retrieved it and gave it to Bruce as a gift. While Batman has yet to touch it, he still has ownership over the kryptonite.

Mother Box

(yes, he has figured out how to activate it

As Batman is Batman, he has many contingencies against pretty much everyone including the Justice League, and one his contingencies against Grid (an evil Cyborg Sigma thingy-ma-robot) is his own personal Mother Box. Mother Boxes are sentient, miniaturized, portable, autonomous supercomputers that were created from Element X for the gods of New Genesis. Since all Motherboxes are the same, any feat or abilities another one has done should be comparable to the one the Batman possess, these would include:

Yellow Lantern Ring

Batman has countless contingencies against the Justice League, and one of his contingencies against Green Lantern is a yellow power ring. This ring is the signature weapon of choice used in the Sinestro Corps. It uses yellow energy, a tangible form of pure fear, and takes the form of yellow light. Unlike a Green Lantern’s ring, a yellow power ring is fueled by fear instead of willpower. Afterwards, it functions similarly to power rings from other Lantern Corps. Other than the need for recharging, the only limitations of using the yellow power ring are the skill, knowledge and imagination of the user. By having a mastery over fear, a user of the yellow power ring can do the following abilities:

  • Energy Blasts - The ring can be used to fire blasts of yellow energy or create weapons such as projectiles.

  • Force-Field Generation - The ring can create various force fields of various sizes and shapes to protect the wearer and others around him.

  • Energy Constructs - The ring can form constructs of yellow energy as its primary function is to provide a weapon capable of transforming the wearer's thoughts into physical constructs through the wearer's mastery of fear. These constructs are only as powerful as the inspired fear of the user and usually reflects the ring wearer's personality.

  • Instill Fear - Wearers of the yellow power ring can manipulate the ring’s base of power, fear. An opponent's fears can be laid bare by delving into their minds, though this power only works on the direct emotion of fear. Depending on the user's awareness of their opponent’s fear, the ring’s attacks and constructs will be stronger or weaker. This allows them to create the energy constructs of an opponent's worst nightmare. Also, once that fear is exposed, the ring's ability allows the wielder to amplify the fear to the point of irrationality and true horror on the part of the victim and conversely empowering the ring wielder.

  • Fear Empowerment - Yellow power rings can derive great power from feeding on the residual fear of those whom they are enmeshed in terrorizing, essentially by using their greatest weapon to provoke the abject terrors of a victim. This increases the wielder’s power over time depending if they have enough individuals to garner incredible fear from.

  • Phasing - The power ring allows the wearer to pass through certain solid objects, such as walls.

  • Kryptonian Charging - The yellow energy from a yellow power ring can charge the powers of a Kryptonian or Daxamite.

  • Environmental Playback - Upon request, the power ring can recreate a holographic environment based on data in its memory banks. The ring wielder can observe events in a ghostlike state, but the ring wielder cannot alter the outcome of the playback.

  • Invisibility & Light Refraction - A ring wielder can render themselves invisible by willing the ring to bend light waves around their form as well as that of the power ring.

  • Energy Twin - The power ring allows the wearer to create an "energy twin" of themselves that can travel at far greater speeds than that of the ring wielder's physical form. While the energy twin is active, the ring wielder remains motionless. Their force is needed to guide the energy twin. The energy twin can not alter its surroundings and may only be perceived by another ring wielder as a yellow, ghostlike image. Any knowledge gained by the energy twin is transferred back to the ring wielder's physical form upon recontact with the body.

  • Energy Absorption - The ring can absorb and store most other energies. Unlike the Green Lantern power rings, a yellow power ring can replenish the normal store of energy the ring has. For example, a ring that needs recharging but contains a store of electricity could only discharge that electricity.

  • Flight - By the manipulation of anti-gravitons and directed molecular movement, the ring allows the user to fly at incredible speeds.

  • Wormholes & Spatial Warps - The power ring grants its wearer access to wormholes in space, enabling the ring wielder to rapidly cut time and distance needed for transport. Black holes can be navigated by experienced ring wielders.

  • Limited Cellular Regeneration - This ring has a limited ability to heal physical injuries, repairing the injuries in the wielder or others.

  • Electromagnetic Scanning - The ring has a wide range of detection abilities based on the imagination of the user. If one can conceive of it, they can probably detect it. Magical effects like clairvoyance are beyond the scope of the ring, but most normal electromagnetic phenomena are within the range of the ring, including radio, television, infrared, ultraviolet, and high frequency band communications.

  • Universal Translator - The power ring can translate virtually any language in the universe, facilitating diplomatic encounters rather than violent confrontations.

  • Material Alteration - A Sinestro Corpsman's uniform is created by the power ring whenever the wearer wills to wear it. It automatically appears over the wearer's normal clothing and vanishes when the wearer wishes to return to their civilian attire. The yellow parts of the wearer's uniform are usually very warm or hot to those who touch it, while the black parts are very cold.

  • Ring Duplication - Most power rings are capable of automatically duplicating themselves. Each duplicate typically shares the qualities and capabilities of the original ring and still requires to be recharged by a personal power battery.

  • Emergency Beacon - A wielder in distress can use their power ring as an emergency beacon. This alert can be directed to a yellow lantern's neighboring sector, or it can be a Corps-wide alert.

  • Homing Beacon - A homing beacon in the power ring can lead one yellow lantern to another. The power ring can be ordered to disguise itself to elude power ring wielding trackers. Most often ring wielders will allow the beacon to signal their location to others.

  • Mind Alteration - The power ring can be used to tamper with another person’s mind, though there lies a risk of catastrophic damage to the mind should mistakes be made. A ring wielder can use the power ring to erase portions of an individual's memories. The power ring can also be used to beam information from the ring wielder to another being.

  • Security Protocol - The rings can be programmed and can be coded to the wearer so as to make them unusable if stolen.

  • Preset Conditions - Commands can be stored in the ring to be executed at a later date, even if the bearer is not wearing the ring.

Black Power Ring

During a confrontation with the Batman Who Laughs and his allies, Batman revealed a Black Lantern power ring that he owns and used it to summon a small army of the dead. This ring is the signature weapon of choice used by the Black Lantern Corps. Unlike power rings used by the other Lantern Corps, black power rings are fueled by death instead of a light from the emotional spectrum. As a result, they wield the black energy outside of the Emotional Electromagnetic Spectrum. In addition, black power rings are wielded by the deceased. A wielder of the black lantern ring can do the following abilities:

  • Black Energy Constructs - Black Lantern rings can create constructs but are seldom created, except when the Black Lantern used to wield such abilities or certain weapons.

  • Flight - Black Lantern rings can allow their users to fly.

  • Reanimation - Upon latching onto a corpse, the Black Lantern ring will reanimate the body. The ring animating the person within downloads all the memories and superhuman abilities (if they had any) of their previous life, but not their souls. Instead, they are malevolent beings who seek to murder even those they considered friends. As demonstrated by Batman, a Black Lantern ring is also capable of resurrecting people other than the wielder.

  • Regeneration - Black Lantern rings will regenerate destroyed limbs to complete the appearance of the corpse. It is possible for the rings to fully regenerate the host to the point that they appear alive, but the rings usually settle for a decayed appearance to terrify the target.

  • Emotional Reading - The Black Lantern rings are capable of scanning a being's current emotional state and where it falls onto the Emotional Spectrum. They then attack the beings and attempt to remove their hearts. Once removed, the hearts are converted to energy.

  • Life Extinguishing - The Black Lantern rings are capable of taking hold of a person who had been killed and resurrected, putting them under their control, effectively killing them again.

  • Emotional Spectrum Mimicry - Surprisingly, the Black Lantern rings can mimic the Emotional Spectrum of the other rings.

  • Darkness Manipulation - Black power rings can generate a light devouring field of depleted photons, causing a massive black out effect which negates or greatly weakens the power of the Emotional Spectrum.

  • Spectrum Nullification - A Black Lantern ring can extinguish the light of the Emotional Spectrum by cutting off a ring wielder's power rings connection to their specific empathic energy field.

  • Empathic / Energy Absorption - Black Lantern Rings can also be used to leech off the raw emotion spectrum energy of another ring. However, the siphoning effect also works on other forms of energy like heat vision.

Miniaturized Omniversal Wormhole Bullet

Yup, this is a real thing. While the weapon has “omniversal” in its name, it is not a direct attack potency based attack but rather it’s a Omniversal Wormhole miniaturized and encased in Element X that is theoretically stated to be capable of teleporting the Totality outside the Source Wall

To give you an idea on how crazy this is, the Source Wall is the literal barrier that surrounds the DC Multiverse and beyond it space and time is irrelevant, and the void beyond the Source Wall is stated to be powerful enough to destroy the Totality, the living power core which created the entirety of the DC Multiverse and should be as powerful as the Seven Forces of the Universe and the Seven Hidden Energies Of Creation combined to a point where cosmic beings like the Quintessence, Mar Novu, and the Justice Legion claimed they couldn’t stop it.

Element X

Element X, also known as the Tenth Metal, is the purest form of creation itself and one of the strongest metals in the DC universe, capable of overcoming anything from the dark multiverse. It can be manipulated by thought alone to achieve nearly anything and is present in small quantities in every single thing, sentient being or otherwise in the Multiverse. Also known as the “fire of the Fourth World”, Element X is the very power source of most technology belonging to the New Gods, such as the Mother Boxes, Father Boxes, and the Miracle Machine. Everything within the multiverse is made from the Tenth Metal in its least concentrated state. He who dons this miracle substance has the power to rewrite the nature of reality on a totallic scale.

Batman’s Armors

Environmental Armors

Batman possesses multiple body armor variants designed to allow him to adapt and survive in different environments.

Medieval Armor

Batman also owns a full suit of medieval armor based on the batsuit. It is equipped with a sword and shield. The suit of armor and sword can hold up even after 37 years of constant fighting.

Defoliant Armor

This armor is designed to protect Batman from the mind controlling pheromones used by the villainess Poison Ivy. This armor variant is also armed with a powerful herbicide, made from a special concoction involving defoliant and napalm mixed in for the strongest and fastest effect of burning through being such as Clayface.

Haz-Bat Suit

The Haz-Bat Suit is specifically designed to quarantine Batman from hazardous viruses, toxins, wastes, etc and still allow him the mobility and durability he needs to fight crime. It’s able to withstand a big blast of fire from a meta human with pyrokinesis with no damage to the suit and uses tasers to take them out. The Haz-Bat Suit can also withstand the pull of a black hole and a powerful energy blast with only damage to the visor. Due to being made of a lightweight composite armor, the Haz-Bat Suit is designed to take a blast of heat vision from Superman. This is evident when it took a heat vision blast from Patient Zero similar to Superman’s. Other features of this suit include the medical scanning capabilities, enhanced thermal imaging, and can take tissue samples for testing.

Anti-Clayface Suit

This armor is designed to help Batman in combating the shapeshifting Clayface, a villain with a malleable but regenerative clay-like body. This armor can release a blast of hydrogen fluoride, a highly dangerous gas that forms corrosive and penetrating hydrofluoric acid upon contact with moisture. The armor also has electrical blasts known to hurt Clayface and freezing gas that can freeze parts of the villain solid.

Anti-Freeze Suit

This suit is designed to help Batman combat the icy villain Mr. Freeze who specializes in cryogenic weaponry. The Anti-Freeze Suit is equipped with a flamethrower that can spew fire hot enough to melt through a metal wall and a ton of ice. The Anti-Freeze Suit is also equipped with a geo-static cable that raises the core temperature of anything it wraps around. In case the suit gets frozen solid, it possesses a defrost protocol that allows the suit to heat itself up and melt its way out of being frozen solid. The suit is even strong enough to withstand the fire of its own flamethrower.

Batman Beyond Prototype

Batman recovered a prototype of the Batman Beyond suit that was thrown out in Wayne Enterprises. However, this is merely a prototype of the suit that Terry McGinnis would wear in his career as Batman. This prototype has wings for flight and can bust through steel walls. However, it’s unknown if it possesses other abilities Terry would use such as a cloaking device.

Stealth Suit

Superman once apparently asked whether it was possible for someone to be hidden from his sight. Batman took that question and answered it with the Stealth Suit. This suit is designed to operate along the full electromagnetic spectrum by sensing what’s being used to detect it and reacting accordingly. As a result, Superman can’t see or sense the Stealth Suit.

Retro Space Suit

While investigating a millennia old Kryptonian warship in space, Batman donned his Retro Space Suit that allowed him to breathe and travel safely in space. During the investigation, Batman and Superman (who appeared later) engaged in battle with Kryptonian war mechs. Luckily, this suit is equipped with missiles and a laser. The suit is also equipped with flight capabilities, which Batman used to avoid attacks from the war mechs.

Magma Mech

To rescue a scientist from an erupting volcano due to tremors, Batman donned the Magma Mech. This mech-suit is designed to withstand contact with magma and to move through magma freely. It can also bust through the walls of a volcano.

Subterranean Mech

During a mission with Green Arrow underground below the surface of the Earth, Batman donned the Subterranean Mech to adapt to the mission. This mech-suit is equipped with a large flashlight and is used to fight enhanced subterranean neanderthals with compressed ultra-rock armor. The Subterranean Mech can also fire batarangs.

Scarab Armor

While preparing for a rematch with the armored assassin Scarab, Batman donned the Scarab Armor with Stephanie Brown’s help. This mech suit is equipped with a laser cutter and an energy pulse that dismantles mechanized armors. In addition, the Scarab Armor is equipped with grenade launchers, gyro stabilizers, and reactive armor and can still withstand some damage.

Terminus Armor

At some point in the past, Batman defeated a criminal named Terminus. As a result, the villain gained a rare condition that required painful treatment to extend his life and vowed to spend the remainder of his life in pursuit of defeating Batman and show him as the true villain. Injecting himself with toxins to barely stay alive, Terminus led an army against Gotham and donned a power suit to fight Batman. In response, Batman donned his own mech suit that was stored in the Batmobile. In his dying breath, Terminus launched a warhead at Gotham. However, Batman used his suit to stop the warhead. The Terminus Armor is strong enough to tear apart Terminus’ power armor and even take hits from it. The armor is also equipped with thrusters, enabling Batman flight. An augmented version of this armor defeated a biker gang and is shown to be bulletproof.

Thrasher Batsuit

The Thrasher Batsuit is an exo-skeleton designed by Batman to withstand extreme conditions and climates. This suit is made of meta-aramid mesh fibers, a material that makes the suit tougher than Kevlar. It can withstand intense heat and intense cold as low as Arctic winters while containing weeks worth of oxygen. This suit was used to fight an army of Talons (who are undead assassins) and can take a beating from them. To take on the Talons, the Thrasher Batsuit can fire an electric charge capable of blowing their brains out and freeze batarangs that freezes their entire bodies until they break. The Thrasher Batsuit has also defeated a small military army, tanking their gunshots. The suit can break an airplane in half and is also shown to emit an EMP that can disable a magnetic rail gun.

Anti-Bizarro Suit

This armor is designed to help Batman combat Superman’s doppelganger Bizarro. While Bizarro has the opposite of some of Superman’s abilities and weaknesses, he still has the same physicality as the Man of Steel. This armor is strong enough to take multiple hits from Bizarro and can do well against him. This armor is equipped with a mega-voltage titanium mesh, batarangs grenades that can be fired automatically, and solar laser fisticuffs.

Nanomech Suit

After Superman got shrunk by the Prankster to microscopic size, Batman went to rescue the Man of Steel due to time moving at an exponentially faster rate in nanoscopic size. Before getting shrunk himself, Batman donned this nanomech suit. The suit is able to track Superman’s solar energy levels, allowing him to track the Kryptonian. At some point, advanced nanobots turned Superman’s body into a living bomb, amping his power exponentially but also negatively affecting his brain. As a result, Batman had to fight this amped Superman in his nanomech suit. The nanomech suit is equipped with a taser lasso and rocket grenades. It even has a blade capable of piercing the core heart of the advanced nanobots.

Magic Armor

When a group of evil Supermen and Batmen invaded the Justice League watchtower, it was up to Superman and Batman to fend them off. During the attack, Batman fought three of the evil Supermen by using backwards magic to create a mech-suit for himself to use. This mech-suit has a pair of wings possibly for flight and can shoot energy blasts capable of one-shotting Bizarro. The mech-suit was able to take hits from Ultraman and one-shotted him with a hit from its gauntlet.

Justice Buster Batsuit

Batman created the Fenrir contingency with the design to take down the entirety of the Justice League. Part of the contingency is a mech-suit known as the Justice Buster Batsuit. The armor of the suit is capable of repeatedly taking blows from individuals with super-strength, such as a Wonder Woman whose going all out, an all out, albeit slightly slowed down Flash, and Superman. The Justice Buster Batsuit is also designed with the superstrength and speed necessary to go toe-to-toe with these invulnerable individuals, such as hitting Wonder Woman and tagging the Flash at sub-optimal speeds. However, Batman doesn't predominantly rely on the mech-suit’s physicality (this was proven when the mech-suit got wrecked after a bloodlusted Superman dropped a skyscraper on it) and instead uses its specialized functions to combat his fellow Justice League members. The several mechanisms that the Justice Buster Batsuit is equipped with to eliminate key Justice League members are the following:

Insider Suit

When Batman returned to 21st century Gotham City after being sent to the past by Darkseid’s Omega Beams (long story), Bruce donned the Insider Suit as a disguise in order to freely explore Gotham and assess the state of things that occurred during his absence. Built with a different appearance than the traditional batsuit, the Insider Suit allows Batman to mimic a selection of super-abilities through the use of high-powered technology. However, the suit's power is limited and requires a recharge-time after the usage of each ability.

While agile enough for gymnastic manoeuvres, the suit has enough armor to protect the wearer from sword strikes, a missile blast from a rocket launcher, and hits from Geo-Force. The suit can recharge its power supply by either plugging into an external power source or by absorbing energy attacks that are directed upon it. It possesses a built-in grappling hook, and its exterior can release a powerful electric shock to knock out a person. The Insider Suit itself also has other abilities such as tracking signals, thermal vision, and hazard identification. The Insider Suit can mimic the following super-abilities:

Hellbat

Big, black, strong, full of edginess and at the forefront of this battle, composed of a shifting nano kinetic metallic composition, forged by the entire Justice League with each member charging it with their own distinct power, enhanced by Lex Luthor himself and can be voice or telepathy activated, its sole purpose was to be able to go toe to toe with large scale in extreme battle scenarios threats such as Eradicator, Kalibak and even Darkseid (at least for a short while).

It has a photonic cloaking system, high speed flight, electrical shock defense system, minor life absorption, monitor & tracking systems, energy beams and lasers, energy absorption and due to the substance the suit’s made of, the whole suit can reform to pretty much anything he wishes; shields, webbing or even an army of bats. It even has a Devastator mode which theoretically is as powerful as Wonder Woman or even more, but most importantly it has this.

However, one big glaring problem is that the suit drains the metabolism and life force of its user, and increased power usage, major damage, breaches or high energy absorption can hasten this effect, putting him in cardiac arrest and potentially killing him.

Final Batsuit

Saving Batman’s strongest suit for last, the Final Batsuit is exactly that. His strongest suit. During a conversation with Batman in an attempt to convince him to join him in creating a perfect multiverse of justice to replace the current one, Alpheus, also known as the World Forger, showed the Dark Knight a suit of armor that the latter would create a few months into the future. Batman would create the Son Box, a chair that was built from Element X. As mentioned earlier, Element X is also known as the Tenth Metal, the purest form of creation itself and one of the strongest metals in the DC universe.

Initially, the Son Box allowed Batman to look into people’s hearts. However, Alpheus stated that Batman would take it a step further by building the Final Batsuit around it. As a result, this gave Batman the capability of changing people’s minds by rewriting them cell by cell. In Alpheus’ perfect multiverse, Batman would use the Final Batsuit to rewrite the minds of the Justice League. This iteration of the League included Martian Manhunter, one of the strongest telepaths in the DC universe and is capable of successfully using his mind hax on characters such as Despero, Superman, and the Spectre. When Jarro nearly destroyed the Final Batsuit in the future, Alpheus took the armor and gave it to present-day Batman, who repaired it.

The Final Batsuit was later proven to be Batman’s strongest armor after Batman used it to take down the Justice League (Wonder Woman, Flash [Barry Allen], Green Lantern [John Stewart], Martian Manhunter, and Hawkgirl). In terms of durability, the Final Batsuit can take hits from Hawkgirl and a giant Martian Manhunter. In return, the suit has the physical strength to hit back against Wonder Woman and Hawkgirl. The Final Batsuit is equipped with electric net drones that it can shoot out fast enough to tag the Flash and Green Lantern and an electric net that it uses to take out Hawkgirl. The armor is also equipped with an energy cannon that is powerful enough to blast back the giant Martian Manhunter. Lastly, the Final Batsuit was able to match the psychic blast of Shayne J'onzz, the possible son of Martian Manhunter and Hawkgirl, and he possesses power that was so great, not even Martian Manhunter could understand it.

Iron Man

The Iron Man Armors

This is what makes Iron Man well… Iron Man, with well over 50 models, the Iron Man armors are numerous, each with its own unique premise and set of powers/capabilities. However, at base, the majority of the standard Iron Man suits are made from a tessellated Gold-Titanium alloy, Nitinol, which is strong enough to protect him from various environmental forces, can lift over 100-tons, directly powered by his Arc Reactor/Repulsor Tech Node  in his chest, can operate even when Tony is unconscious and comes packed with:

  • Helmet - This is the main tool in Tony’s arsenal and allows him to scan the environment for any potential concerns. It also allows him to monitor his vital signs/power output to make sure that he is able to keep on fighting.

  • Repulsor Beams - A high density muon shot as a physical blast of concussive energy which can repel attacks and injure foes.

  • Unibeam -  Tony can fire an extremely powerful beam of energy from his twist in order to incapacitate targets, it should be noted that in some forms of the Unibeam - it significantly drains his power so he can only use it a few times.

  • Lasers - Tony can fire these controlled lasers in order to hit multiple targets at once.

  • Smart Missiles - These missiles are fired from the shoulder.Often they are fired out by Tony in order to create a large explosion.

  • Flamethrowers - Tony can fire off a contentious steam of fire that can set buildings on fire or do significant damage to enemy targets

  • Force Fields - Tony can create forcefields that can protect himself against ranged weaponry as well as punches from some of the heaviest hunters in the Marvel Universe (shown in the Durability Feats)

  • Electro-Magnetic Pulse -  Tony can send out an electro-magnetic pulse in order to temporarily shut down any technology (that doesn’t have protection against EMPs.

  • Drones - Tony can send out these drones in order to tag people for arresting or to spy on people.

  • Jet-Boosters - These Jet Boosters are the main method of flight for Tony. These Jet Boosters are fast enough to break the sound barrier and allow him to fly into outerspace in a few seconds

  • Suction Discs - He has special suction discs in his boots and gauntlets that allows him to climb like Spider-Man, an earlier prototype of this can can climb down an entire cliffside.

  • Onboard A.I - Inserted into the suits via a chip card and can be changed out remotely or manually depending on the situation, notable A.Is that Tony has used includes:

Each of these A.Is have the general premises of being able to answer questions, supply information and recommendations… all the other basic things Siri does as well as things Siri can’t do like controlling and remotely summoning other suits even when Tony is unconscious, detect magnetic and energy fields, scan large areas, hack, rewrite & decrypt info with ease and even destroy other programs. If it really comes to it F.R.I.D.A.Y is able to pull Tony's consciousness out of his body into the 13th Floor, essentially allowing him to escape physical death and exists as a living holographic consciousness, able to download himself in bodies with a touch, however, he can only do this for a limited amount of times as it causes degradation to his nucleotide links.

More information about his earlier base suit specs can be found here

There’s far more to be said about the abilities his suit possess, however, they would be non-factors especially compared his notable armors, which include:

Hulkbuster Mark I

This add-on was designed to fight one of Marvel’s heaviest hitters - the Hulk. It is very unique from other Iron Man armors due to its modeler system (basically the different parts of the suit can be swapped out. Due to the Modular armor’s nature of individual pieces being swapped out with a combination of magnetic and hydraulic technology. In terms of its standard stuff - it has repulsors and a Uni-Beam in its chest as well as upgraded boosters allowing it to fly for longer. In terms of the different modules here are some of the most notable ones:

Hulkbuster Mark II

Ever since the last Hulkbuster was dismantled, Tony built a brand new Hulkbuster to compensate, this suit was not designed to contend with the classic Savage Hulk but also the even more powerful Green Scar and was winning until the military attacked causing him to become even angier but did last longer than characters such as She-Hulk, Ares, Invisible Woman and a Skrull Black Bolt capable of dealing massive amounts of damage to the Moon, in terms of abilities, it has all the standard Iron Man gear amped up to a thousand and has nanobots designed to suppress Hulks' powers (spoiler alert; it didn’t work).

Thorbuster

Designed for fighting against one of Marvel’s biggest heavy hitters - Thor, it is powered by an Asgardian Crystal which allows it to absorb and use Asgardian energy in combat, increasing his own power while at it. This essentially means it is powered mostly by Asgardian Magic rather than technology. Tony also decided to give it experimental repulsors to add enough strength to his punches in order to knock back Thor, blast away Mjolner and take hits from it as well, and keep up with the legendary God of Thunder (at least for a while).

Extremis Armor

During the Extremis storyline - Iron Man encountered Mallen who nearly killed him. In order to save himself he used the experimental Extremis on himself. This saved his life but also allowed him to fully integrate the man and suit. Tony with Extremis is able to integrate his armor with his very bony structure. It is also directed into his brain allowing him to manipulate his own armor with a thought. The Extremis armor is much lighter than previous armors making it far less bulky than previous armors. Out of being stronger, faster and more durable then Tony’s other armors. It also gives him a couple of news things. For example it gives him Technopathy aka the ability to control machinery as well as instantly hack almost any system. Giving him effective control over most if not all machinery. It also allows him to instantly control all of his other Iron Man Suits to aid him should the need arise. Due to integrating itself within Tony’s very bony structure - it also gives Tony a healing factor - being able to grow body parts back from within a day

Bleeding Edge Armor

This suit is based on the idea of Extremis but amped up to the tenth degree. After installing himself with a "man-made star" - the Bleeding Edge armor was born.Outside of having increased fire power due to the power system it is running on - it is also a lot more mobile then previous armors due to being made out of a neurokinetic user-controlled morphogenic nanoparticle bundles that reduces his weight significantly.

Iron Destroyer

After asking Odin to allow him to make himself a suit of armor that was capable of standing up to Mokk - Iron Man built this suit modeled after The Destroyer. This suit is forged from molten Uru which is a magic-absorbing metal (that created The Destroyer). It was then enchanted by Odin. This armor is durable enough to take hits from Odin who is strong enough to cause the destruction of several planets and suns whilst fighting the Forsung.

Phoenix Buster

Made during the events of AvX, the Phoenix Buster’s sole purpose was to defeat the Phoenix Force before it could destroy the planet. While it didn’t truly kill the entity, it was able to shatter the Phoenix into 5 pieces, causing notable damage and harm to it. This is more than what any other hero (outside of Scarlet Witch and Hope Summers) could do! Considering an avatar of the Phoenix could affect transfinite planes of reality and match Wanda Maximoff’s Chaos Magic (which itself can affect infinite universes as a baseline), this is quite impressive!

Model 42

A black and gold suit made with liquid tech, the Model 42 is one of the more versatile armors. Tony can summon the suit at will, allowing the pieces to fly to him, or via smart metals that align to an invisible exoskeleton. It can swap between different armors and has separate modules, such as a stealth module, or a heavy duty module. It even has a Hulkbuster module that lets him contend with the Incredible Hulk himself. Lastly, it contains many useful features just as an anti-telepathy system which allowed him to invert the telepathy that was controlling Hulk, medical systems in the case of any major injury, and illusionary capabilities that can work on Malekith

Deep-Space Armor

Created by Tony when he joined the Guardians of the Galaxy. This suit is specifically designed for travelling with space - with the suit having warp speed and sub-warp speed thrusters that allow Tony to fly much faster than his regular suits whilst in space. To deal with the fact that Iron Man is away from Earth - he built the "Stark Omniversal Multitasking Software" within the armor - allowing him to control other suits of armor located on Earth light years away (aiding him if need be).

Endosym Armor

Following the events of AXIS where Tony’s personality was inverted - Stark created a new suit that was much more high-tech then even his previous suits. The Endosym armor is made out of a liquid smart-metal which hardens instantly on connection with the user's body - it is based on symbiote biology and can instantly form and reshape itself based on the user’s needs though psionics (Tony is mentally linked to the Endosym armor). Basically if he wants to reshape it into a giant Hulkbuster like form - he can do so. Outside of your standard Iron Man arsenal - it has two main abilities that make it different from most Iron Man Suits, the first being its ability to absorb electromagnetic energy - being able to absorb the little of Storm with ease, this also allows Tony to drain power from other robotic suits if he so chooses. The second is that the user can manipulate the tendrils of the Endosym armor in order to hack technology. These two abilities make Tony’s Endosym armor one of the most powerful standard armors he has used.

Model-Prime

The Iron-Man Model 51 is perhaps one of Tony’s most advanced suits. It is made out of nanotechnology that is stored in Tony’s bracelet. When commanded the Model Prime can instantly shape around Tony (like the Endosym armor) and form into whatever he chooses. As such due to its flexibility based on nanotech Hexagonal Scales that are stored in a bracelet - Tony can then command the armor to reshape and form in whatever way he chooses using nanotech technology. Using this suit, Tony can create different types of weapons using nanotech technology’s shapeshifting function. The Hexagonal Scales of the suit can be reshaped to create weapons such as blades and cannons. The armor can also create a "zero-point energy bubble" which is mostly used as a form of containment. He can also shape the Model 51 into a much larger form - giving it a Hulkbuster mode of sorts. Finally it has a self-cloaking and stealth model if Tony wishes to remain hidden from his opponents.

Model 64

One of the armors designed after founding Stark Unlimited, this suit was used by Tony, alongside Captain Marvel to defeat Spymaster as he was infiltrating Stark Unlimited HQ. Tony also used it to defeat the hybrid of Wonder Man and Vision, at the expense of losing his duplicate A.I in the process, due to an EMP. While it causes his suit to shut down, and also fries his own brain, the Black Box Recovery Module allows him to completely reboot his soul and mind, as a copy of his brain with the same memories as before although the process “hurts like hell”. The suit can also shoot repulsor rays from its shoulders, and generate energy shields as most standard Iron Man suits come as well.

Ultronbuster

This suit was designed specifically to fight Ultron-Pym. It hasn’t been used though during a battle against Ultron-Pym - Tony fused with his suit becoming well… this. Despite the forced fusion he kept on fighting and would eventually break the fusion. It possesses the standard Iron Man Arsenal as well as an energy shield to block attacks from Ultrom-Pym. It should be physically stronger than most standard Iron Man suits due to it being specifically designed to fight Ultron.

Godkiller Mark II

The Godkiller Mk II armor was based off of the original Godkiller armor which was made by the Aspirants before the dawn of the omniversal iterations of creation in order to exterminate the first host of the Celestial race, nearly driving them to extinction. The Godkiller Mk II was used as a contingency when the Dark Celestials invaded Earth. It is a Celestial-sized armor with the physical power to temporarily fight a Celestial whose prowess dwarfed that of skyfathers such as Odin Borson. If all else fails, it can self-destruct and take out several Celestials in the process.

Godbuster

Big, red, strong, full of deicide and at the forefront of this battle, this suit was designed within eSpace which is Tony Stark’s Virtual Reality System - after the whole system got corrupted - Tony Stark had no choice but to fight the Motherboard. Formed out of pure imagination due to being in a Virtual Reality Space - the Godbuster is one of Tony’s most powerful suits - being able to fight and destroy the Motherboard - who had complete control over the E-Scape. Later Arno Stark would later create a suit based on the Godbuster using retrieved fragments of data of the Godbuster as well as his own tech and money to create the Iron Man Suit Model 67. The Iron Man Suit Model 67 has shoulder cogs that can whirl in order to attack the opponent,  the shoulder cogs can also retract their plating to reveal repulsor ports should Arno need a little more fire power and comes packed with the standard Iron Man gear that’s much more powerful now.

Virtual Armor

Perhaps the most unique armor of them all, the Virtual armor is not made out of anything - rather it is made out of purely solid-holograms made out of E-Space, the entire 13th Floor that is (that virtual reality system that was mentioned earlier). Its arsenal is pretty much unlimited due to the fact that Tony can pretty much create anything he can think of using holograms and that includes weapons. The Virtual armor also allows the user to travel between virtual space and the real world as well as trap opponents in a bubble that can force them to live out a virtual fantasy and project holograms that can fool both machine and human eyes alike. The suit. Finally in terms of feats - it is strong enough to overpower and rip apart the Iron Man Model 68 (Arno’s armor - which is based on the Godbuster aka one of Iron Man’s strongest armors).

Extrembiote Armor

Used during the King in Black Event, Tony managed to get a hold of a new symbiote and merge it with the Extremis Virus, formulating a plan - he merged several symbiotes together including a dragon symbiote with the symbiote that was wrapped around a Celestials that was brought to Earth. Creating the Extrembiote armor - this is perhaps one of Tony’s strongest armors to date. It gives Tony all the abilities of a Symbiote including the ability to manipulate its own Biomass as such it can shapeshift its body into any object of its choosing such as, like bladed weapons and shields. It can also shapeshift into a Dragon - leading to this awesome moment.

It should also be noted that when it biologically hacked into a Celestial it gained all of that Celestials abilities and powers. Considering as explained earlier - the power of Celestials - dwarfs that of skyfathers such as Odin Borson and has shown being fast enough to keep up with Odin who can fight beyond all time, space, and thought, this is impressive.

Though it should be noted that Tony no longer has the Celestial form after the King of Black event but Tony has kept the Extrembiote armor itself for safe keeping

Non-Suit Equipment

Briefcase

Best Iron Man Suitcase GIFs | Gfycat

A special briefcase that Tony has shown to be able to store his Iron Man armor for easy transportation, it can emit knock-out gas or self-destruct if there is forced entry and even includes a special relay siphon that hacked into the mainframe computer aboard a S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier.

Undersheath

Sitting in a metal suit all day is uncomfortable, therefore, this was invented. Stored in-between Tony’s bone marrow tissue (gross), this nano-network of superconducting plastic can actually be chemically summoned and acts as a emergency defense measure, reduce stress in tissue and joints, acts a magnet to his suits and can turn his nervous system into a dense non-traditional computer which increases his reflexes to that of a supercomputer and essentially turning his mind into a hard drive that can channel data, emergency signals, satellite reconnaissance, etc. directly into his head and allows him to be immune to psychic attacks

Extremis Virus

The Extremis Virus was created by FuturePharm as a way of creating a super soldier serum. Originally created by Adrian Killian - it would later find its way into terrorist organisations and later Tony Stark himself. While the regular Extremis Virus gives the user Superhuman Strength,Speed,Durability and the ability to breath fire - Tony’s variant of the Extremis Virus is a little bit different. When Tony used it, he became one with his armor - allowing himself to directly connect with his armor and enhanced his brain function allowing him to process and collect information at a much quicker rate. Like the old Extremis Virus it also gives Tony enhanced strength, speed and reflexes as well as a healing factor.

Ghost Tech

Taken right from his buddy Ghost, this multidimensional bridge teleportation tech can be equipped into his armors which allows his suit and body to be completely become intangible - passing through enemies as well as objects thrown at him and should be directly comparable to anything the person who invented it, as such with it he can phrase through soul-based and some magical attacks, however, it’s main drainback is that it drains repulsor tech meaning that if he is running low on energy it is unlikely he will be able to go into this state, scns, conducted multi-vibration repulsors, hacking, temporal-based machinery, real ghosts, Asgardian weapons and EMPs can cause the suit to materialize or touch it.

Digital A.Is

Stark has built several AIs that are based on his own brain waves. These AI are reconstructions of the real Tony Stark and have all his knowledge. These AIs can also think considerably faster then the real Tony Stark due to being artificial computers. They can also be used to control other Iron Man Suits - basically creating a whole army of Iron Mans.

eScape

A digital platform created by Tony Stark, it is basically a virtual universe that allows people to do anything and do everything - think every virtual reality video game but boosted to absurd levels. It was secretly developed as a way of testing to see if humans and AIs could co-exist. However, due to circumstances it was eventually shut down… as mentioned earlier, all of the Virtual armor is made out of holograms from EScape and thus he can use the EScape’s reality alternating properties to pretty much do anything with the Virtual armor. He can also use the Virtual armor to send opponents to a modified version of the EScape by applying the Virtual armor to them.

Thirteenth Floor

Created for AIs when Tony decided to join the AI Army - a group dedicated to the rights of artificial life forms, it is made out entirely of solid light that can only be accessed by pressing a certain button. It should be noted that it is only built for AI and it would be impossible for humans to be able to access it under any circumstances, recently this entire place has been under the control of F.R.I.D.A.Y and described as infinite, as mentioned earlier if it really comes to it, she can remotely pull Tony’s consciousness into this place but comes at a cost of degradation to his nucleotide links

Project Achilles

Due to the amount of collateral damage fights with Hulk level threats as one-on-one, this project was started to neutralise those threats before they could even have the chance to attack, these were utilised via nanobots injected from a adamantium needle, the same technology in power-inhibiting collars, essentially removing the superpowers of superheroes, however powerful enough opponents such as Green Scar Hulk can resist it entirely.

Microscopic Telepathic Tasers

To contend with Omega-Level psychics who are powerful enough to demolish his own telepathic defense in just 30 seconds, he is able to release thousands of microscopic tasers into the surrounding area which automatically shocks the victim whenever they try to use their telepathic abilities. The harder the thought, the harder the shock.

Nano-Sprite Clouds

In his fight against Ezekiel Stane, due to Iron Monger’s unreal power, Tony resorted to using a cloud made out of microscopic nano-sprites that can shut down his opponents lungs, however, they have to be inhaled to work.

Chest Transmitter

If Tony doesn’t feel like getting struck with energy blasts, he has a special transmitter that directly connects to his Arc Reactor and drains energy from it to send out frequencies to reverse energy from weapons, completely short-circuiting them. His Arc Reactor can substin enough power to reverse the energy of the Cobalt Ray which is said to be powerful enough to put the Army out of action with a single blast.

Unstable-Feron Mini-Bomb

A special vial of unstable freon just for emergencies, once hit it’ll freeze and solidify anything almost instantly, including the gas around the struck area, due to the sub-zero cold it produces it makes the area that has been struck brittle and incredibly easy to shatter.

Proton Cannon

(Here’s the big one!)

Yes, yes while this is only used in Marvel vs Capcom, it just didn’t feel right to not include. If the situation calls for it, Tony can bring out the big guns and manifest this out of nowhere and fire it at his opponent. The laser it fires is very powerful but can be dodged if you know that it is coming.

Reality Stone

The Reality Gem is the most powerful of the Infinity Stones. It was given to Tony to protect so that it wouldn’t fall into the wrong hands and rightfully so. The Reality Stone is extremely potent, being capable of killing the user if forcefully taken from its chosen place. It can passively change reality with a stray thought, causing devastation across the entire universe if not the multiverse! It is recommended to be used in conjunction with the Time Gem but is powerful even without it.

The Reality Stone contains within it a metafictional World Pool that’s overseen by Archivus, the chronicler of the multiverse. It contains a shard of the Nexus of All Realities which holds layers upon layers of infinitely unending narrative stories, viewing them as realities within realities. This means that it can control reality on all levels, including a narrative one if the will of the user is strong enough! Some abilities the Reality Gem grants would include:

Space Stone

The Space Stone enables a user to have complete control over space and the positioning and / or perception of any object. Distance would become no more than an arbitrary intellectual concept, as everything in the universe can be restructured to the will of the user. Thanos was able to use the Space Stone to take over Eternity’s role as the manifestation of the universe, essentially becoming omnipresent!

  • Teleportation - The Space Stone allows its user to teleport anywhere in the universe, including higher planes of reality.

  • Space Manipulation - The Space Gem can control all of space, creating space warps or bending the fabric of existence. It can even make portals to beyond the universe.

  • Omnipresence - A user of this stone can exist in multiple places at once, nowhere at once, and everywhere at once. Thanos used this stone to become one with Eternity, overthrowing the abstract entity’s role as the concept of space itself.

Abilities

Batman

Genius Intellect

Bruce Wayne is one of the smartest people in the DC Universe alongside Lex Luthor. This is due in part to his wealth of knowledge he picked up whilst training abroad including several Masters Degrees. He is an expert in Computer Hacking, Medical Science, Forensic Pathology.

Gadgetry,etc.

Nicknamed the “World’s Greatest Detective” by the likes of many, Bruce is also a master detective that recognizes which location of Gotham he’s at based on the water despite being drugged and exhausted and also easily piece together the schemes of his opponents - such as the Riddler’s. Even as a child, Bruce did some detective work such as discovering the location of the mysterious Court of Owls. He has been trained by numerous detectives such as Harry Harvey, Dan Mallory, and Henri Duncard.

He applies his analytical mind extremely heavily whilst in combat - by making deductions about his opponents while fighting them, doing so against Cassandra Cain, an alternate version of the Riddler, and an imposter of the Wraith as well as being able to make snapshot deductions on Justice League opponents, allowing his fellow teammates to gain the upper hand. During many DC storylines, Batman’s detective skills has provided a key turning point.

Peak Human Physique

Batman, while not being technically Superhuman (even though that is very debatable) is at peak human physique - able to perform feats that push the human body to their very limits. He is strong enough to leg press 2,500 pounds (very few like Joseph Holt and Ronnie Coleman can leg press more than 2,200 pounds) putting him physically stronger than peak athletes and bodybuilders. He is also fast enough to dodge Wrath’s machine gun, which is capable of firing 5,000 rounds per minute (this would be very difficult for any human). He has also powered through enough air pressure to kill a regular human. It should be noted that due to exposure to Dionesium, Bruce’s enhanced his peak physical prowess to newer heights meaning he should be even stronger, faster and more durable in current comics then he was previously.

Stealth Mastery

Batman is a master of stealth, and he uses it constantly during his midnight escapades to bring about an end to crime in Gotham City. Random thugs are no match for his stealth, and he’s even managed to sneak up and hide in places where any normal ninja would have been found, such as the time he snuck into a base belonging to that of The Spectre or the time he managed to hide for over an hour without any of the Justice League hearing him. The League members even included that of Superman, who’s known for his superhuman hearing.

Martial Artist

Batman is an expert at martial arts, having mastered literally every single one known to man at some point. He’s even capable of recognizing some of the less common fighting styles in the DC Universe and can recognize them nearly on the fly. His primary form of combat is a harmonious mixture of Jiu-Jitsu, Taekwondo, Judo, Muay Thai, Capoeira, Savante, Karate, Kung Fu, Boxing, Aikido, and Ninjutsu. He can recognize rare fighting styles and can even counter an opponent’s. One type of martial arts that Batman is familiar with is known as Dim Mak, an ancient form of martial arts where he can strike vital points of an opponent’s body which causes paralysis, intense and prolonged pain, and even death.

Pressure Point

Batman’s mastery of combat doesn’t just extend to knowing martial arts, however. He’s also capable of making use of pressure points in combat. This allows him to take out foes by making use of their nervous system in the process. Some good examples of this are the time he took out Green Arrow’s arm with a nerve strike or his ability to stop someone from breathing with nothing more than a single strike. With a simple nerve pinch, Bruce can also erase a person’s short term memory.

Batman has used his knowledge of pressure points to win against numerous opponents, defeating super steroid enhanced weightlifter whose impervious to pain, a cybernetic gorilla, a magically boosted Eddie Hurst, and Solomon Grundy. Bruce can identify different rare techniques such as the Chest Penetration technique and the Falling Leaf technique. Batman also modified lethal techniques to make them non-lethal in order to knock out opponents.

Expert Marksman

Batman has extensively trained in the skill of Marksmanship - he can pretty much turn anything into a ranged weapon - for example: he once took down someone just using a bottle cap by hitting them dead in the face. Though in terms of his most impressive Marksman Feats - he can take down helicopters by just using a single dagger by throwing it at a tail rotor - he also did the exact same thing with a ski racket. He is also quick enough to split arrows shot at him in half and stop projectiles such as shurikens flying at him with his batarangs. He doesn’t even need to look at you to hit you with his marksmanship skills in order to hit you.

Distance is another requirement of a marksman, being able to hit a light switch with a Batarang from afar and knocking out a sniper with a golf ball. Being an expert marksman, Batman is able to perform a number of trick shots to either save his allies, disarm opponents, damage their equipment, or knock out multiple people at once.

Escape Artist

Described as the “World’s Greatest Escape Artist”, Bruce Wayne has trained under many mentors such as Zatara and Max Dodge in escape artistry. He practices thousands of scenarios, doing each death trap ten times. He escaped from being chained up in an underwater vault, being tied up in a straightjacket on a chair while evading a microwave detector, and from being in a buried coffin while fatigued and drugged with Joker’s toxin while in a straightjacket. There were incidents when Batman had to use insane methods of escape, such as bombs, lowering his body temperature, and dislocating his arm to move it out of his sleeve.

Many of his rogues place Batman into numerous death traps. However, the Dark Knight would always escape them. He escaped Riddler’s “inescapable” death trap, Two-Face’s death trap, Ra’s al Ghul’s by using a breathing technique, Scarecrow’s death trap, and a death trap for Superboy while disguised as Hawkman.

Telepathic Resistance

Throughout his career, Batman has shown to be a powerful resistor to mind control and telepathy. It’s been stated that hypnotic powers can’t affect Batman, which is why many characters with mind control powers or telepathy couldn’t manipulate him. Thinker and The Cheat found that out, unable to hypnotize him and couldn’t sense any fear from him either. Powerful psychics such as Manchester Black, Nudge, and the demon goddess Mistos couldn’t enter Batman’s mind or psychically manipulate or imprison him, especially impressive on the latter two who were able to do so against Superman earlier. Batman is able to resist psychic assaults from Saturn Queen, Lump, Black Mask, and other lunatic telepaths capable of mind controlling masses of people. He can even resist mind control from high tech military machines, up to 26 hours straight. Bruce is always one of the last members to the Justice League to resist mind control and the first to break free from it. Even telepaths who successfully enter his mind are quickly forced into comas by him. Just ask the Synaptic Kid.

Sheer Willpower

In the DC Universe, willpower can be weaponized and used to fight crime. With Batman, his type of willpower is different. Using his willpower, he was able to ward a yellow lantern ring away from him when it tried to recruit him. He broke off a magical sleeping spell casted onto him by Manitou Raven. For several years on the dreaded planet Apokalypse, Batman was tortured nonstop by Desaad but never gave in. These feats are a general description of how strong Bruce’s willpower is. Willpower comes in different forms, and Batman has been shown to have a strong willpower when it comes to his physiology. He is capable of slowing down his bleeding after being shot, doing so unconsciously by his sheer force of will. Batman resisted the villain Anchoresses’ quantum manipulation of his brain. A metahuman even tried to turn him into a mind controlled zombie, but he resisted it.

Some members of his Rogues Gallery are experts with chemicals, toxins, and poisons, which Batman has been exposed to. However, the Dark Knight’s extraordinary willpower always helped him through. As a rookie, Bruce resisted the pheromones of the beautiful and deadly Poison Ivy. He has fought off the effects of Scarecrow’s fear toxin and a super version of it. Batman has fought off a hallucinogenic drug of the Mad Hatter and willed his way through the Joker venom after being exposed to it. Batman has even overcome a paralytic chemical through just his will alone and resisted the “world’s most potent truth serum”. There are times when villains such as Phobos, Antithesis, and Anger tried to possess Batman’s body, but he would break out of them with the help and motivation of his allies. However, there are instances where villains fail to possess Bruce or he successfully resists. Yurrd, the Horseman of Hunger, failed to possess him while his counterparts successfully did so against Wonder Woman and Superman. Batman even usurps control of Tharuk, a robot from the 30th Century that tried to assimilate him.

Bruce has fought off illusions before and destroyed them with his pure will.

Hypnotism

In his career as a superhero, Batman is shown to be a very skilled hypnotist. He can make his voice semi-hypnotic when talking and has used this technique against his rogues gallery. He can use hypnosis to get people to tell the truth as well as make people forget he was at their location, making him invisible to them. Bruce has also used hypnosis on himself, making himself forget that he’s Batman and has done so again to prevent Martian Manhunter from learning about his contingencies. He can also enter into a trance-like state, similar to a coma, and exit it at will. Batman has also used hypnosis against power enemies, such as the Shaggy Man and an Ape Superman.

Magic

Believe it or not, despite being known as a guy without powers, Batman does actually know how to use magic. While he does have a strong dislike of magic, Batman isn’t afraid to use a couple of spells if the situation calls for it. As a result, he has learned to use backwards magic, a type of magic that Zatanna is well known for. With backwards magic, Batman can reverse a possession and trap a ghost within a crystal. He also knows another spell that prevents the use of magic for another hour. However, the most notable example of Batman using backwards magic is creating a large suit of armor capable of fighting and knocking out Ultraman and shooting energy blasts that can one-shot Bizarro. In addition to knowing backwards magic, Batman has also spent 3 months learning how to kill demons and has shown to be capable of healing hyperthermia using mysticism.

Genius Intellect

Tony Stark is one of the smartest people in the Marvel Universe and is classified as a super-genius. Tony specialises in computing and technology as he uses all of his computing and engineering skills to create all of his armors that are years ahead of our current technology. Being a futurist - Tony tends to look at the feature to solve problems and build multiple contingency plans in order to help stop a problem before it gets worse. He is great multitasker as started by Reed Richards - being able to look at multiple situations and problems at once in order to find a solution which he tends to employ in combat - being able to employ multiple plans in order to find a means of victory as shown with the Avengers vs X-Men Event and the King in Black Event.

Tony also puts that intelligence to the business sector and has built up several multi-million dollar companies. He states that if he wanted to, he could give away his entire fortune and build it up again within a week.

Skilled Hand to Hand Fighter

Despite preferring to fight at a distance, Tony has been trained in several martial arts by some of the best fighters in the world. During the events of Demon in a Bottle, Tony asked Captain America to train them and that has paid off for him tremendously in the past as even without his armor on - he can still take down opponents with ease. He was also taught by the likes of Shang-Chi,Black Panther and Black Widow. His armor is also pre-programmed with a vast arsenal of fighting powers - allowing Tony to use a vast variety of combat techniques whilst on the field.

Skilled Marksman

Despite often relying on target systems - Tony is a skilled Marksman having been trained in the use of firearms. When the targeting systems of his suits are damaged or he is out of a suit - he will easily be able to take out multiple opponents at once with nothing but a gun and a few tools.

Telepathic Resistance

In a world with psychics like Professor X, Emma Frost and many others running around, and you being a multi-billionaire with hundreds of secrets, it would be wise to have some kind of countermeasure to them. He first started gaining immuning after Hank Pym biochemically immunized him and the Avengers to Ultron's Encephalo-Beam to a point where he could tank it head on or just its passive effects, this beam could comatose people. He was also able to resist Ultron's Mesmeric Ray (albeit with a lot of difficulty) which was powerful enough that it previously worked on the Scarlet Witch, this biochemical resistance should also scale to it’s creator Hank Pym who could resist being "roboticized"

Later on, he was able to overcome Black Lama's mind manipulation and combined with his already technological psychic / telepathic defenses, I don’t think you’ll want to mess with a mind like Tony Stark.

Batman

Ultimately at the end of the day, Batman despite being at the peak of human potential is still..well human meaning that while he can survive injuries that would kill most - he is not invulnerable and can be killed through human means aka being shot and being stabbed. He tends to rely his intelligence and smarts to get him out of trouble; it won’t always save him and led to numerous close calls with death on multiple occasions.

While we are giving Batman all the main prep gear he had over the years - it should be noted that Batman tends to use such equipment when it is only necessary and tends to rely much more on his standard arsenal then his big powerful suits giving him less experience in using his more powerful tools then you would think (fun fact: he has only used Hellbat twice and Final Bat-Suit once throughout his entire comic book run). Finally his paranoia can get the best of him at times which leads him to make extremely bad decisions (see Brother Eye).

Iron Man

When it comes to who is Tony Stark’s worst enemy, it is undoubtedly Tony Stark himself. Tony’s arrogance is legendary amongst the superhero community with characters like Captain America and Captain Marvel calling Tony out for it. This arrogance has led to him underestimating his opponents such as the time he fought an Extremsis Enchanced Super Solider and was nearly killed.Despite being one of the most intelligent people on the planet - he tends to make some extremely stupid decisions that come about as of a result of shortsightness.

Outside of Tony’s personality screwing himself more times then not - Tony like his opponent doesn’t really go for the big guns in terms of his armored suits unless the situation really calls for it (as his higher tier suits then to be for fighting specific opponents) - meaning he will often rely most on his base armor with occasionally Hulkbuster thrown in for good measure (giving him less experience with the more specific armours such as the  Celestial armor).

Finally there’s his biggest vice of all - alcohol, while he has stopped drinking it in recent years (outside of Superior Iron Man) - if he is intoxicated it will severely hamper his efficiency whilst in combat and he becomes more susceptible to drink when in high stress situations.

Welcome back, Death Battle Season 8! It’s been a very long time since Link VS Cloud 2 aired, and it felt longer since DBX wrapped up. However, we now have new Death Battle content starting with Batman VS Iron Man. Which of these billionaires will take the win in this iconic rivalry between DC and Marvel?

I will have to go with Batman. Here’s the thing, while I am fine with giving Tony the slight advantages in strength and durability, I don’t think I could say the same thing regarding speed. I’m not comfortable going with the immeasurable/infinite speed stats route for Tony as I prefer relying on both combatant’s quantifiable speed feats. And by looking at the quantifiable speed feats for the two combatants, Bruce has the edge.

The speed is important because this fight will come down to their strongest suits. The Final Batsuit is what will give Bruce the victory over Tony. This futuristic suit has the unique ability of letting Batman rewrite people’s minds.on a cellular level, which can affect even the Martian Manhunter. While Tony has shown resistance to telepaths on the same level as Martian Manhunter, the Final Batsuit is on a whole different level when it comes to mind hax. Even though some of Tony’s suits have backup memories or allows his A.I.s to take control in case his mind gets wiped, remember that the Final Batsuit doesn’t mindwipe people. It just rewrites their minds and emotions. Even if the A.I.s take control over piloting the suits, Bruce can force Tony to deactivate his suits.

In addition, certain items in Batman’s arsenal will also net him the win. First there’s the Platinum Kryptonite, which gives anyone who touches it permanent Kryptonian superpowers. Batman has had Krytponian powers before and while it didn’t last long, he was able to defeat most of the Justice League. Therefore, he should have the experience in knowing how to use them. Plus this time, the Kryptonian powers are permanent, and we know how strong Krytponians can be.

Next is the Mother Box, which Batman has kept and used more than once. This piece of technology can manipulate matter, molecules, energy, time, and technology in various ways as well as possessing other abilities. The Mother Box will be most useful in protecting Batman from the Reality Gem (if Tony is given it) and can hack Tony’s suits. Of course, Batman can also use the Mother Box to manipulate Tony’s atoms or absorb and redirect his attacks.

Third is the Miniaturized Omniversal Wormhole Bullet. As the name suggests, this bullet acts as a wormhole that sends the victim outside the Source Wall, where space and time is irrelevant with only a void existing stated to be powerful enough to destroy the Totality. The Totality is a living power core which created the entirety of the DC Multiverse and should be as powerful as the Seven Forces of the Universe and the Seven Hidden Energies Of Creation combined to a point where cosmic beings like the Quintessence, Mar Novu, and the Justice Legion claimed they couldn’t stop it. No way Tony can survive outside the Source Wall.

Fourth and finally is Element X, one of the strongest metals in the DC universe and the purest form of creation. Anyone who possesses this element has the power to rewrite the nature of reality on a totallic scale. Bruce can very well use it to advantage by amping himself and his suits to overpower Tony.

Overall, both combatants have very overpowered armors and equipment. However, Batman has the best suit with the needed speed to rewrite Tony’s mind as well as the right equipment to help him secure the win. At the end of the knight, Batman in his Final Batsuit will drive Iron Man batty.

Ninten

"When something is bothering you, eating it feels great!"

Hi. Hello. Wassup. I'm back here again (maybe). The thing about comic books is that it's a little difficult to get into them, just due to the sheer density of material it has. Researching this battle for the blog was able to help me get more of a foothold in Marvel and DC than I had before, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading them. Personally, I think I prefer DC comics in general to Marvel, but I do like both of these characters so I wouldn't be particularly mad with the result.

Anyways, I think this is probably one of the most debatable Marvel vs DC fights out there, and I had to manually review and think about key aspects of this fight for a while, but here are my opinions.

First of all, it has been pretty clearly established in this blog that Iron Man and Batman's strongest suits would match at least the herald tiers of their own respective verse. Marvel heralds are really powerful in their own right, with scaling to Hyperion surviving the incursion of two Marvel macrocosms, which could get up to about a hundred thousand times more powerful than the mass energy of our observable universe. Not only that, but they are shown to be incredibly quick. The fastest finite speed feat I have seen for them must be Valkyrie scouring every point in the ten realms in the blink of an eye, which could get three undecillion times the speed of light (that is 36 zeroes!)

However, this is not enough to match up against DC. Given the DC universe's size of a hundred trillion lightyears across, feats of universal destruction - of which suits like the Hellbat and Final Batsuit could scale to - could get to over a BILLION times greater than the total mass energy of the observable universe. Not only that, but Hal Jordan's SoS feat of sending probe constructs across the entire universe and back in a heartbeat could get over 37 duodecillion times the speed of light - which is at an even greater 39 zeroes!

Of course, if the story ended right there I wouldn't have called this one of the most debatable Marvel vs DC matchups. At his peak potential, the Iron Man can exceed these finite limitations with the aid of certain suits. Though, before getting into the why, we need to talk about the how.

The easiest way to ascertain a Marvel skyfathers power would probably be through Odin's battle with Seth, where his attacks were threatening the entirety of the Marvel multiverse. The Marvel multiverse has previously proven to be unquantifiably infinite in size, even extending upon several aleph layers of infinity, and contains an infinite amount of higher spatial dimensions. With this in mind, characters such as Odin and those who can reasonably scale to him could have attack potency that ranges upon infinite dimensional, or high hyperversal using VBW terms.

How could someone such as Iron Man possibly scale to someone like Odin? Well, not normally, that's for sure. However, granting him equipment such as the Godkiller Mark II in my opinion opens the door to such a case being made.

The GK II was based off of the original Godkiller armor, which was capable of defeating celestials. Tony used the GK II in order to fight against a new group of dark celestials invading Earth, who are more powerful than ordinary celestials. Compared to celestials, the all-father Odin was a mere ant.

Recently there has been some discussion regarding whether or not you can actually scale GK II to the dark celestials, so I want to spend some time building the case for this scaling chain from GK II to skyfather tier (and more particularly, Odin.)

GK II fought alongside an amped She-Hulk and Thor, as well as Robbie Reyes literally possessing a celestial, to fight against the group of dark celestials. They manage to survive hits from as well as fight and damage the dark celestials for a prolonged period of time. The main argument against this scaling comes from Stark saying that they are "not on their power level", but in that same scan they are able to knock down the leader of the celestial pack, who tend to be stronger than the others. Even though the dark celestials may be slightly stronger than the Avengers here, to suggest that they were being dominated or that they couldn't hold their own is preposterous and simply not how the fight went down. This leads me to my next point.

The GK II's self destruction was stated to be able to take out these dark celestials, at least for some of them. The self destruct mode for GK II is based off of the armor's own energy, so that should scale somewhat to it's basic capabilities.

Simply put, the fact that GK II was modelled off something that objectively did defeat celestials, was able to hold off and fight with the dark celestials for a prolonged period of time, one of the people he was fighting with was possessing an actual celestial (they both specifically worked together to knock down Obliteron) and that we know it's self destruction, the energy that the GK II uses, could destroy the dark celestials, it seems almost unfair to me to not grant the GK II this tier of scaling. Even if you were to say that GK II would downscale somewhat from the dark celestials, any downscaling would honestly be negligent given the tier of power that these beings are given. Not to mention, regular celestials downscale from dark celestials, and Odin downscales from that (and Odin particularly during his multiversal feat, when he was weakened, would downscale from even THAT!)

I think that I have sufficiently shown that the Godkiller Mark II has a very strong case to make for such scaling, and it's not much of a surprise that I'd use this in my verdict. So, is the Godkiller II the only Iron Man suit that can reach this level of power? Eh, probably not.

The main armor that is being presented for the Death Battle for Iron Man is the Godbuster armor. As some people have pointed out, the Godbuster doesn't have very many direct feats to pull from to justify a super special scaling. However, a while back, I thought of a theory that might get the Godbuster better scaling.

After witnessing the Godbuster, Riri's suit is able to indicate that it was radiating more power than anything she has ever seen before. Before this occurred, Riri had previously encountered Thanos, so we could use that as a benchmark for the Godbuster's power.

In base form, Thanos has battled Odin, fought Thor with the power gem, survived a blast from the cosmic cube as well as tank an attack that killed multiple celestials. I feel that Thanos even in base form should safely scale to this level of power, and by proxy so would the Godbuster.

And while this isn't technically a suit, the Phoenix Buster is also capable of shattering the Phoenix into five pieces, which should be a blatant example of skyfather level weaponry.

Ok, so maybe Iron Man is stronger with his best suits, but what of this Final Batsuit mindwipe stuff I have been hearing about? You may have asked. Well friend, I'm happy to talk about that, because there is a lot to say about it.

The Final Batsuit was invented by the World Forger's alternate universe Batman to rewrite the minds of the members of the Justice League who would have opposed his decision to lock away everyone that sided with the philosophy of Doom. Although we never see it in action, logically, it should have worked on Martian Manhunter, an incredibly powerful telepath. This means that the Batsuit's brainwashing is OP right?

Except I have my reservations about this scaling. Let me explain why.

In the same story arc, not even 10 issues before the Final Batsuit makes its appearance, Lex Luthor enters J'onn's mind and creates a barrier around himself to protect against his telepathy. Does this mean Lex Luthor has OP mind hax resistance? No, not really. What he did was make it so that his barrier would be specifically attuned to J'onn's telepathic waves so as to counter him. Also worth noting that the Final Batsuit was made to specifically tailor to everyone opposed to Batman, including Martian Manhunter. You can probably see where I'm going with this, but given that a more practical solution for getting past J'onn's mental abilities was offered in the same story arc, there is little reason to assume that the Final Batsuit just has a bazillion mental layers.

Layers? What are you talking about? I expertly predict you ask again, whilst sucking on your thumb. Tony Stark has proven to have mental resistances to pretty powerful mind benders in the Marvel universe, such as Ultron even in his older armors. Not only that, but his psychic dampeners have worked in defending his mind against Xavier's telepathy, and he has inverted Red Onslaught's telepathy.

Even if the Final Batsuit were to mindwipe Tony, the AI could always just reset Tony's consciousness. Or hell, use the suits to fight Bats themselves. Of course, none of this would matter if Tony were to just kill Batman before he could pull any of this off. Not only has Odin's attack speed proven to reach across infinite and extra dimensional space, but he himself has fought so fast he was fighting beyond time itself

All in all, Iron Man's absurd power, speed and counters are more than enough to put down the Dark Knight for good.

I am going with Iron Man

Akhil

(This is the closest Death Battle in a long, long, long time)

I’m back, as usual, for another comic fight and I’m super excited for this one! Normally, this might not seem very fair… because it isn’t. Take one look at Batman. He’s awesome. He’s badass! He has amazing drip… he’s BATMAN. Butttttttt that doesn’t really save him from Tony. That doesn’t really save him from most of his Marvel opponents. He still doesn’t beat Spider-Man. He doesn’t beat Black Panther and he shouldn’t have beaten Cap. If he can’t beat those three, how is he going to beat Iron Man? A powerhouse Avenger who easily goes up against universe destroying threats and does JUST fine. No kryptonite. Regular armor that isn’t laced with plot that can fire energy blasts. Yeah… Batman’s screwed. It’s a multi-city block level character fighting a universe level character who also blitzes him with a speed gap of at least a couple quadrillion times lightspeed. It’s not fair.

At least until you factor in what else Batman has in his nonstandard arsenal, and trust me, he has a LOT. The Hellbat alone can even up stats and even give Batman a solid advantage when it comes to pure speed, strength, and power when comparing it to one of Tony’s standard suits like Bleeding Edge. However, Tony also has plenty of suits that would not be normally accessible which would be fair to use now. He has so many “buster” armors, some of which are normally accessible but that being said, a lot of them flop. That doesn’t mean they’re not strong though. Hulkbuster Mk II can fight a suppressed Green Scar Hulk who needed to become angrier to actually beat Tony. Thorbuster can fight a Thor with the Odinforce and do relatively okay. Then there’s Ultronbuster which allowed Tony to match Pymtron for a significant period of time. That being said, it is plausible that Hulkbuster Mk II and Thorbuster would be defeated by Hellbat. They all do scale to the higher ends of heralds in their franchises but Hellbat’s feats are on a slightly higher level. Granted, if you argue that it doesn’t truly scale to Darkseid, you would be right to a degree but that being said, Thorbuster doesn’t 100% scale to King Thor either so neither would reach the skyfather levels of power required. When it comes to that, you can argue either way but I’m more comfortable with Batman because even when they’re both equally powerful, Batman has that good skill advantage.

As far as Justice Buster goes, I’m not even going to say that much. It was made to fight the League and the League only. Hulkbuster would tear it apart. I’m not even sure if it could beat the regular Modular Armor but that’s a topic for another day. Hulkbuster can trade blows with the Hulk, and more blows than the Justice Buster could take from Superman. Hulkbuster Mk II is even stronger and would absolutely decimate the Justice Buster.

There are multiple other suits that come into factor. The Endosym armor that Tony has is insanely powerful. It can absorb Monica Rambeau who’s one of the most powerful herald tier characters in Marvel, shield from attacks that come from powerful sorcerers such as Wanda Maximoff and Doctor Doom, and even “Hulk out” and become so strong that he once tore apart the Hulkbuster Mk II quicker than Green Scar Hulk did. Endosym has powerful telepathic defenses, can shapeshift, and is immune to EMPs. Tony can certainly tear apart suits like Justice Buster, beat Batman in the Insider suit, and there’s a chance of him outlasting Hellbat as well although that one is certainly debatable.

However, the biggest problem will come down to Batman’s Final Batsuit. Made around a Son Box created by Element X, the Final Batsuit can go up against the heaviest hitters on the Justice League. I mean characters like the Flash (Barry Allen), Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, and Green Lantern (John Stewart). However, I’m not quite sure if the Final Batsuit was what I originally thought it was. It is incredibly strong, don’t get me wrong. However, physically speaking, it never really reacted to Flash in the way one might think. It caught both him and Green Lantern off guard. It was able to knock around Wonder Woman though so it certainly scales quite high in terms of speed. How fast is Wonder Woman? Well, she’s at the very least quintillions of times the speed of light with plenty of infinite speed and immeasurable speed arguments here and there. But what I did want to point out was that even without the stats scaling it once had, the Final Batsuit still manages to rank as Batman’s most powerful piece of armor. How? Well, its telepathy. The Final Batsuit could rewrite the minds of some of the most powerful herald tier characters in DC. It bypassed the resistances of characters like Wonder Woman, Flash, and most importantly, Martian Manhunter, one of the most powerful telepaths in DC. He can reach across entire universes with his mind, mindhax Despero, and Aquaman considers J’onn 10x the telepath he ever was.

Hawkgirl says that Batman “can alter our minds with a single blast.” On its own, it doesn’t necessarily limit Batman to having to physically attack in order to rewrite their minds (especially with Hawkgirl not knowing the full capabilities of the Final Batsuit) but it does show that it’s an option. That being said, something to take note of is that Batman specifically says the Son Box was designed with the entire League in mind. That too doesn’t necessarily mean it just exploits weaknesses but something interesting is that Lex Luthor has a suit that’s specifically attuned to J’onn’s telepathy. This doesn’t mean Lex’s resistances are better than Manhunter’s but rather, it just means he has a direct counter. Could this have been what the Final Batsuit was developed for? Moreover, the Final Batsuit might not even HAVE telepathy. It might have MATTER MANIPULATION. Originally, it was stated that Batman could use the Final Batsuit to rewrite someone’s mind cell by cell. Is psionic energy really made up of cells? That doesn’t make much sense. Maybe he’s referring to the neurons that conduct electrical impulses which wouldn’t really be layered telepathy. It would just be matter manipulation. Layered matter manipulation since characters like Wondie, Flash, and J’onn resist normal molecular manipulation but that is a SIGNIFICANT change in wincons.

Not only can Tony resist telepathy from Red Onslaught, but he can also counter it. Red Onslaught was using the powers of Professor X whose telepathy can battle Dark Phoenix across infinite planes of reality simultaneously. He was also affecting beings with existing resistances to telepathy such as Thor, Hulk, and Vision. If the Final Batsuit’s power is frequency based, Tony’s telepathic inhibitors can stop it just like Lex was able to stop Manhunter’s and if he tunes it into the right frequency (which, let’s be honest, he can), he would be able to shut down that ability.

What does that mean Tony can do? Hulkbuster definitely dies to Final Batsuit. Endosym would lose as well, albeit, it would do better. Phoenixbuster, also known as Phoenixkiller would lose due to its mobility and lack of resistances (especially to matter manipulation). Even if its attacks are fast, it’s not the most mobile thing and it’s unlikely that the Phoenixbuster can get in that one attack to splatter Batman before Tony’s brain gets turned into a vegetable. Godkiller though… well, that’s a different story.

Ninten explained it perfectly above. Even if the Godkiller doesn’t scale to a Dark Celestial, it’s definitely not herald tier. Even if you say it doesn’t scale to Odin at his average, you need to know that Odin, while weakened to think like a mortal, was able to use his powers to affect every plane of reality in existence. In the Marvel multiverse, there are a transfinite number of uncountably infinite planes that spatially transcend each other. Odin has anywhere from multiversal+ all the way to high hyper and outerversal scaling. Even higher when he was actually worshipped like the god that he is. Tony does not scale to that but to say he scales far below a weakened Odin in the Godkiller is not a claim that can be supported. Odin also scales far above any finite speed imaginable. His fights can take place beyond space, time, and thought itself. Wanda, while not at the peak of her omniverse affecting power, was able to use her magic to boost Quicksilver’s speed beyond space, time, and all conventional reality. And then she also made herself that fast. That is much faster than the Final Batsuit (if you scale DC heralds to immeasurable, Marvel heralds would also scale to immeasurable through the same logic and skyfathers would upscale) and it is much STRONGER than the Final Batsuit which means that he could easily kill Batman before he gets the chance to mindwarp him. That being said, is it something I would rely on? Probably not. The Godkiller Mk 2 as powerful as it is, tends to break down at a faster rate and when it does, it can go into a nuclear meltdown which would be bad for Tony and anyone nearby.

Godbuster on the other hand is questionably skyfather tier. If it’s stronger than Classic Thanos, it would definitely be on the higher end of herald to around skyfather tier. If it’s stronger than current Thanos… it would be stronger than Godkiller Mk 2. If you don’t buy skyfather scaling, it would still be powerful enough to contend with the Hellbat. It was powerful enough to fight the Motherboard who had complete control over the eScape, an entirely virtual universe.

Can the Final Batsuit beat the Godbuster? I have no idea. If you buy it scaling to Post-God Quarry Thanos, probably not. If Riri’s scanning is passive, then the Godbuster would be around Thanos’ level of power, if not higher. Thanos at the absolute least should be multiversal+, even without the Infinity Gauntlet. Only if Godbuster had Thanos’ resistances to matter manipulation and telepathy. Then it would have been a bit less unclear.

And finally, we get to Tony’s most interesting hax and armor. The Virtual Armor. This is without a doubt the best counter to the Final Batsuit. It’s made up of the eScape. An entire universe! It’s not physical matter in the traditional sense. It’s holographic tech powerful enough to tear apart Arno Stark’s Godbuster armor which was based on Tony’s Godbuster armor. It also allows Tony to teleport into the eScape which would grant him nearly unlimited reality warping abilities. At that point, it’s unlikely if the Final Batsuit’s mindhax would even work. Matter manipulation certainly wouldn’t when you have complete control over an entire universe and all matter and reality within it. He could also trap Batman in a holographic sphere where he could simply live out the rest of his life in harmony, ending the fight that way. We are talking about Death Battle though so it certainly won’t end like that.

As far as other abilities go, Tony’s ghost tech allows for incredible phasing. They’re both great hackers although in that regard, I might have to give it to Bruce. That being said, Tony is known for his multitasking and with F.R.I.D.A.Y to help him out, he’s certainly putting up a fight. They both have good feats, such as when Tony used his Extrembiote to hack into a Celestial’s body which shouldn’t even really be possible. That being said, Batman’s hacking could be compared to that of Brainiac’s as his skill in hacking would be on par with that of Lex Luthor who could hack into Brainiac, although given time to do so. Brainiac 13 could download himself through time and the OG Brainiac could be argued to be even more powerful. He could process and sort the knowledge of over 490 octodecillion beings which is a ludicrous number if you think about it. Tony’s armors do reject outside signals through a sealed system though so it’s certainly not going to be easy for Bruce to hack him, especially when Tony himself is a master hacker and can counter it. Yes, Brainiac is connected to an abstract consciousness from a plane completely beyond the multiverse but technically… Celestials are too. They have their own true forms, their own M-Bodies, and they can shrink into the multiverse whenever required. It doesn’t matter whether you’re a god in Marvel or a god in DC. You’re gonna have a true form :)

For the smaller pieces of stuff? Batman has the Yellow & Black Lantern rings? Tony has the Reality and Space Stones. Infinity Gems > Lantern Rings. I will stand by that. The Reality Gem can accidentally wipe someone from existence with a stray thought. Black Lantern rings do not come back from that. Motherboxes are even more powerful though. Boomtubes are rather ineffective on someone who has control over all space. They can however protect against some of the Infinity Gems’ abilities. Reality and Space Stones do not power each other though. With all of them, Tony can kill Batman with a snap of his fingers. With only two though, I don’t see him putting Batman down. He can’t use the Reality Stone to the peak of its power without endangering himself. It’s not meant to be used by mortals. That being said, they can certainly protect Tony from being haxxed himself. Speaking of, they’re both two more counters to the Final Batsuit’s mindhax or matter manipulation or whatever it is. Reality is often disappointing and that’s a lesson Batman would need to learn if Tony gets the Reality Stone.

However, there is one more thing I haven’t touched on and that is the omniversal bullet. To say the least, this is a BFR bullet. When used, it was going to transport the Totality beyond that of the Source Wall. The Totality is the energy of the Source Wall taken physical form and so, when transported beyond the wall, it would have been destroyed. If Batman has some way to use this bullet, then I don’t see any of Tony’s things working on it. The Infinity Stones don’t work outside their own universe. There are many caveats to this like creating avatars to go into other universes (which Thanos has done), but even then, this isn’t just a universe or a multiverse. The Source Wall is beyond practically every major plane of reality in DC.

The energy of the Source Wall is also more powerful than the Godkiller or the Godbuster or the eScape or anything else in Tony’s possession. This wasn’t a simple emanation of the Source Wall at the edge of a universe. It was at the very edge of creation and it’s not as simple for Tony to escape it. If he’s transported beyond it, the Infinity Gems won’t work. The Godkiller would be decimated. Everything Tony has would fail to win him the fight. Even if you say the Godkiller Mk 2 is outerversal, it doesn’t nearly reach how high the Source Wall is in comparison.

That being said, there is a problem that Batman runs into. How is he going to fire the bullet? He never made anything to fire it so by Death Battle’s own rules, would he be allowed to use it? He can’t use a normal pistol to fire a bullet that contains an omniversal black hole. None of his suits would work either. Nothing Batman normally has can contain that level of power. This also isn’t a specific prep battle. The contenders only get what they’re already prepared for. They’re not specifically preparing for the other one. If they were, I have no doubt in my mind that Batman can win. This isn’t a small problem either. This is the deciding factor from what I’ve researched so far. If it’s simply a battle of suits, then Iron Man should win. He has several methods to counter the Final Batsuit’s mind rewrite and his own suits are physically stronger, faster, and more durable. That includes the Godbuster and Godkiller Mk 2. Hell, Phoenixbuster can one-shot if given the chance and Ultronbuster by all means can definitely put up a physical fight. And then if you include everything, you run into things like the Mobius Chair, Archetypal Bullet, and the Infinity Gauntlet which don’t exactly make this any easier.

So, in the end, what do I think? Well, this verdict is going to be published and there’s a good chance we find something else that could give the win to the other contender. Or maybe it’ll simply just be me changing my mind but as of now, I need to clarify that I believe in two outcomes. One is that if Tony and Batman are only given their suits, then Iron Man should win low - mid difficulty. If they’re given everything though (with the exception of things that aren’t truly theirs), then I have to lean Batman. I don’t think the omniversal bullet will be glossed over in that case and it is simply too damn powerful for Tony to do anything about it. Can he blitz before it’s used? Probably but I’m not really sure if Death Battle would go that way. I’m not really even sure if Death Battle would use any of this. I believe that everything shouldn’t be used because Batman simply hasn’t shown a way to use the omniversal bullet but I’ve given Marvel so much benefit of the doubt and I think I need to give Batman that chance too. He has a Lantern ring to fire it with. He created the contingency. We might not know the exact plans he had but it’s clear that a Green Lantern was a big part of it. I might be leaning into Ben’s statement too hard but even if I don’t think they should get the Motherboxes and Infinity Gems and Omniversal bullets, they’re probably getting them and it’s really the last one that makes me think Bruce has this in the bag.

MomoUra

(This matchup is unironically pretty hype)

Hello there. I’m back for another verdict. First off, Link vs Cloud was el mucho pog. Great animation, good updated analysis on the characters, and a stunning fight.

Ngl, I was very much expecting the next time after LvC to be Madara vs Aizen but low and behold, we got a Marvel vs DC fight that we probably should’ve expected from the beginning. Iron Man vs Batman is one of the bigger Marvel vs DC fights, so it just makes sense that we’d get it, especially in this season. (What’s really funny is I had dismissed it but brought up the possibility of it happening due to history, ended up jinxing everyone instead lmao).

But anyways, onto the actual debate itself. Iron Man vs Batman, but this time Bruce is getting his good stuff. At minimum he’s getting the Hellbat armor and it was said in the cast that they’re getting all their stuff, so going to be treating this fight as kinda like a “anything goes”, armor wise. Won’t be bringing up the IG for Tony or the Lantern Rings for Bruce though, I don’t think they’ll be considered for the fight.

So starting off with their base stats...do I really need to say anything here? It’s pretty clear that Tony has the clear edge. Bruce could survive an explosion that could get around city block, some versions getting small town. But, that’s absolutely nothing compared to Tony blowing up a rock the size of Manhattan feat, which can get teratons to petatons, much higher than any of Bruce or other DC Street tiers showings. And ofc Tony has consistent FTL to MFTL+ stuff while Bruce is sitting around MHS to Rela.

However, things get more interesting when their stronger suits are involved.

Batman has many herald tier suits, including

  • Insider Suit

  • Anti Bizarro Suit

  • Hellbat

  • Magic Suit

  • Final Batsuit

Tony isn’t very lacking in this regard either however, he has suits such as

  • Extremis

  • Bleeding Edge

  • Hulkbuster and Hulkbuster Mk 2 (as well as the Hulkbuster Modules that other suits can whip out)

  • Model 42

  • Endo-Sym

  • Model-Prime

  • Model 64

  • Thorbuster

  • Destroyer Armor

  • Ultronbuster

  • Virtual Armor

  • Godbuster

Yeahhhhh that’s quite a lot of herald level armors. However Bruce makes up for it with potency it said armors

Insider Suit can replicate other League members abilities, and is capable of one-shotting Geo Force. Anti Bizarro Suit is capable of standing up to Bizarro, Magic Armor can fight off Ultraman, and then there’s the two big ones, Hellbat and Justice Buster

Hellbat is pretty impressive, it lets Bruce fight off Darkseid temporarily, and can also fight the Eradicator. However it’s important to note it does have a limit to it, as it’ll eventually drain Bruce’s life force, and excessive use of the suit’s features will accelerate this process. It’s definitely not the most flexible suit and it could be outlasted, eventually resulting in Bruce’s own death

Justice Buster isn’t as impressive in the sense that while it can contend with league members, it has specific counters to each of them and is also a bit of a glass cannon, so overall nothing too special

Final Batsuit is by far the strongest suit Bruce has used. It has without a doubt the most solid herald scaling out of all of them, it’s the fastest and most mobile, and overall has some of the best hax implanted into it too. I’ve seen some contention on if this should be used, but let’s be honest; it’s more or less the same as Godkiller Mk 2 in that it’s used once, then destroyed, and from there they don’t have the same type of access to it. It’s going to be used here due to “anything goes” anyway.

The Final Batsuit was made by an alternate/future version of Batman when the league members opposed him. He built it around the Son Box, and the suit Is made from Tenth Metal/Element X, which is the purest form of creation, and is the source of creation for most New God technology. It can contend with multiple DC heavy hitters such as The Flash (Barry Allen), Green Lantern John Stewart, Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, and Hawkgirl. It can blast away Giant Manhunter, hold back WW and Hawkgirl, restrain Barry and John, and match Manhunter’s bean, and by the end of the fight was still on top. It’s a very powerful herald level suit.

So getting to the big question….

Why isn’t the Final Batsuit infinite/immeasurable speed?

Yup. I don’t think the Final Batsuit is infinite or immeasurable at all, and it’s most definitely not Multi+

I’ve discussed this with some other people and I can safely say that I think the feats performed that reach the tiering are either not scalable, or aren’t legit in the first place. A lot of the speed feats are done by really high tier heralds, or under an emotional peak.

Gonna go feat by feat for this:

For Hal’s feat, it shows him flying a green lantern construct Jet. He exceeds the limit of the “construct integrity”. Due to him exceeding the limit, it gives Hal a warning of the possibility of a speed force singularity being formed

This is used as Hal tapping into the speed force, when it doesn’t seem to be that way exactly. Hal is exceeding the limit of his construct, and it’s warning him of the dangers of it, it also explains that a speed force singularity may be former, which isn’t the same as traveling as fast as the speed force. Even if we do assume it is Hal tapping into it, why would that matter? Tapping into the speed force doesn’t make you Immeasurable, outrunning it does, or being faster than it, but not being able to tap into it.

Next is Diana’s feat, it’s used as Diana tagging Zoom while in stopped time, but that’s not what happened in this fight.

You see, Zoom had blinded Diana, and Cheetah had Wally restrained, but no mention of outright stopping or freezing time. Zoom is stated to be blinking in and out of the time stream at nearly the speed of light, but again we run into a problem with it’s like, why would this be considered infinite speed?

It’s just Diana using her senses, (specifically her hearing), to catch Zoom while he’ physically present and not through the time stream.

It’s not really an Immeasurable speed feat, she isn’t bypassing the factor of time altogether, and she also isn’t moving an infinite distance for Infinite speed. Even zoom did stop time, nothing implies if Diana’s speed is just beyond time or if it’s just an inherent resistance to time manipulation.

Next up, we have this feat from the Flash (Wally West). It states he’s able to move through time due to being connected enough to the speed force, and not through any sort of mechanical device. It’s simply the ability to time travel, nothing more, nothing less. Wally is also significantly above other heralds, and his feats such as outrunning the Black Flash, or racing Barry and disrupting the green, magic, the speed force, etc, are done under emotional stress or emotional peak.

Either due to a loved one dying/failure to save a loved one, or due to the emotional impact Barry had with his return from the speed force. It’s even shown in this issue, that when they’re at their fastest, Superman can’t even keep up with them. Neither this feat, nor Wally’s feat of “outrunning death” would be scalable to the Final Batsuit.

Lastly, there’s Pre Crisis Superman and Supergirl flying past infinity. This is definitely one of those infinite speed feats where it’s legit, but once again it’s not scalable. Mostly because it’s similarly done under an emotional peak.

Superman is desperately trying to find his cousin, and is worried, to the point where he pushes the limits of his speed and breaks the bonds of infinity. It’s definitely not something he would normally do in a fight, and Superman’s power fluctuates constantly. There’s no reason why the Final Batsuit would scale to this feat.

So what does this mean for the Final Batsuit? Well it means that it just shouldn’t get infinite to immeasurable speed. These feats either aren’t immeasurable or infinite to begin with, or they’re from heralds at their absolute peak, which Final Batsuit shouldn’t scale to.

Yes, it’s a very high tier herald suit, but you gotta keep in mind an important plot point in this story was Bruce holding back on his friends, due to wanting to convince them to join his side instead of just going all out and harming them.

Similarly, the league members wouldn’t want to kill Bruce, considering he's their friend. Neither side would want to be killing each other at all, and thus the claim that the Batsuit is immeasurable simply off tagging and fighting standard heralds, doesn’t really work here, especially when it mostly comes from el flash scaling, even though Barry is clearly not at his peak here (when he was, he would’ve blitzed Superman badly), and is also busy fighting his future self.

But not being infinite or immeasurable isn’t inherently a bad thing for the Batsuit. It can still tag Green Lantern and WW. Lanterns like Hal can casually cross the universe, which would get low quintillions. Hal is also capable of sending out reality seeking missiles that travel at 37 duodecillion c. Diana is capable of blocking the pieces of the shattered god, which also gets around hundreds of quintillions c

Final Batsuit is also NOT Multi+, for the same reasons stated for why it isn’t infinite/immeasurable. It’s mostly done by top tier heralds such as Superman when he’s extremely amped via sun dips, or just straight up skyfathers.

As for quantifiable AP feats, Kyle Rayner blocking the Big Bang, WW’s lasso can recreate entire timelines, Captain Atom destroying the universe, and many more universal feats would place the Final Batsuit solidly at this level, along with Multiversal depending on volume scaling.

So now that we've mostly covered Final Batsuit’s stats, what about it’s hax? Well, the Final Batsuit has a built in feature that allows it to rewrite and alter the minds of the Justice League members Bruce was fighting, cell by cell.

This is said to be able to affect Manhunter, and Hawkgirl states that the Batsuit can affect their minds with a single blast. This includes the previously mentioned Diana, Barry, John, Hawkgirl, and most importantly, Manhunter. Who’s telepathy and mind hax is potent enough to mind hax Spectre and Clark.

So clearly this mind hax is very potent. I know there’s this argument of the Final Batsuit possibly just attuning to the waves sent off by Manhunter that was brought up in the blog, but considering the mind hax is the literal alteration of one's mind, idk why this interpretation should be favored

Now that we finished up on Bruce’s side:

How powerful are Tony’s strongest suits?

Extremis can fight on par with a suppressed Sentry as well as match Dr. Doom. Bleeding Edge can fight Taurus and Thor, as well as Magneto. Hulkbuster Mk 1 and Mk 2 scale to Savage/Suppressed WWH. Thorbuster can temporarily fight King Thor, but ultimately lost (in a very similar manner to the fight between Hellbat and Darkseid), etc etc etc. These suits would scale to the universal feats from Hulk, Thor, and Hyperion. They’d also scale to Valkyrie’s undecillions c feat, and Thor and Loki’s quintillions c feats. But while Tony has many herald suits, he also has a few skyfather level suits, including:

  • Godkiller Mk 2

  • Phoenix Buster

  • Extrembiote Suit

Why aren’t the Godbuster and Destroyer Armor skyfather? Well the Destroyer Armor was pretty easily trashed by Odin, and Odin clearly wouldn’t want to kill Tony, and the Godbuster’s argument for scaling to Thanos’ skyfather feats is the Riri argument; Riri argument is basically taking her scanning Godbuster and deducing that it’s radiating the most power that she’s ever seen, and taking it as meaning Godbuster is > Thanos

I have a couple issues with this:

  1. Riri’s encounter with Thanos was very very casual. She charged at him and Thanos kinda just swatted her away like a fly. Thanos’ power could’ve been much lower than what he radiates at his peak, meaning that Riri wouldn’t have been scanning like, Odin or Celestial level power just off of that.

  2. It’s possible Riri scanned Godbuster in particular due to it being an armor, and the scanning doesn’t work the same way against just normal people, hence it not scanning Thanos.

So...how strong are the skyfather level suits? Phoenix Buster can split the Phoenix Force into five separate pieces, which then inhabit five hosts. It failed in killing the Phoenix but it’s not like this really matter too much? Splitting something into five pieces is still very impressive in terms of force and power output, it’s like saying splitting a large house into five, smaller pieces doesn’t scale to the house’s durability. It’s silly, and I never understood why this was argued against just cause “it failed”

Next is Extrembiote Armor which is what Tony used in the King in Black event. It’s a mix of the Extremis virus, and symbiotes, merged into one armor. It also merged later on with a Celestial, and those are consistently established to be skyfather level threats, given how Odin was like an ant to the Dark Celestials, and the OG Avengers were fodderized by them.

Finally, the big one, the Godkiller Mk 2. There’s been a good amount of contention over this suit in the past few days due to it not having the best scaling in the world

Despite that, the Godkiller Mk 2 definitely has precedence for being a skyfather level suit. It can temporarily fight off and punch Dark Celestials, knock them down with his energy blasts, and survive with minimal damage long enough (until eventually he gets his arm cut off, and proceeds to self detonate, resulting in an explosion that destroys the suit and nearby Celestials). It was also based on the original Godkiller, made by the aspirants to exterminate the Celestial race, which is decent supporting evidence for the Godkiller Mk 2 to at least downscale from the Dark Celestials. It’s also at the very least comparable in speed to these Celestials, given they couldn’t avoid his strikes and beams, so Godkiller Mk 2 would overall get ap/durability and speed comparable to that of Odin’s

How impressive is Odin? Very much, to say the least

Odin is capable of fighting with Seth, and in their fight, they are threatening every reality, as well as Dr. Strange stating that they are tearing apart the multiverse

Odin also has very clear infinite to immeasurable speed feats, not only were his attacks going to affect the infinite planes of reality, but he is also capable of fighting beyond space, time, and thought itself. So all in all, Godkiller Mk 2 + Extrembiote should be Infinite to Immeasurable speed, and downscaling from Multi+

So now that we have stats rounded up for both Bruce and Tony with their strongest suits….it’s pretty clear cut from here. Godkiller Mk 2 should stat stomp the Final Batsuit due to being infinitely stronger, and more durable, as well as being infinitely faster (it's worth noting, even if the Final Batsuit is given infinite speed, Odin’s feats are higher layered into infinite speed, so Tony would still be faster)

Phoenix buster can also be used to one shot the Batsuit, should anything go wrong, as well as the Extrembiote suit.

Before I wrap this verdict up though there’s a couple nonsuit related stuff to touch up on:

Thirteenth Floor

In a recent run, Tony has had his consciousness dropped into the Thirteenth Floor, by F.R.I.D.A.Y, essentially avoiding death, and then with her help, can create a new body and armor for himself, that being the Virtual Armor

It’s debatable if he’ll be able to do this in a fight, considering he needed a good amount of resources to regrow his body and create the armor, but still interesting nonetheless

Mind resistances

Tony does have some systems in place to protect against mind hax, including his own resistances (resisting the likes of Ultron, who was able to hax the other avengers along with Wanda, and Xavier). He also has anti telepathetic tasers that can work on Emma Frost meaning they should definitely work against the Final Batsuit, and lastly he has the telepathy inverter that can be used by his suit in order to reverse telepathy/mind control that’s being induced on a person (he used it to reverse the telepathy affecting the Hulk)

There’s also the black box recovery module, but that is more so for frying of the brain itself, rather than complete control over it.

Some of these are specific to certain suits, but Tony could always summon these suits to his location like he’s done plenty of times before. Granted that won’t be possible if Bruce has control over Tony but that’s assuming his resistances aren’t already enough, which I would say, they should be.

Omniversal bullet

This isn’t being included for the sole reason that it was used by GL, Bruce himself didn’t really even use it. So I’m not including it here. If it were to be included, I’d imagine the Infinity Gauntlet could counter it.

Hacking

They should be about even in this regard. Both are intelligent enough to hack some of the top tiers in the verse like Cyborg and Doom, and Tony can even hack into symbiotic possessed Celestials. I’d say they could both hack into each other if given the chance

Final Verdict:

I think this is a debatable enough match up due to all the factors implanted into it, but all in all I think it goes a little something like this:

  • Bass vs Base = Tony

  • Insider Suit vs Bleeding Edge/Endo-Sym = Toss Up

  • Hellbat/Justice Buster vs Thorbuster/Hulkbuster = Bruce

  • Hellbat/Justice Buster vs Phoenix Buster = Tony

  • Final Batsuit vs Phoenix Buster = Bruce

  • Final Batsuit vs Godkiller Mk 2/Extrembiote = Tony

Overall, since this is giving them their strongest suits, I would give the win to Tony Stark, the Iron Man. I think his strongest suits dwarf The Final Batsuit in stats, and Tony can likely resist, and counter the Final Batsuit’s mind hax if given the chance. Even if you give Final Batsuit infinite speed, Tony would have higher via immeasurable arguments and be layered higher into it via Odin.

Here’s to hoping this ends up being a great return to Season 8 for Death Battle.

Mal

(Brandon Yates’s latest song is a banger, check it out)

Hey everyone, with the second half of DEATH BATTLE starting up - can i just say that it feels really good. Don’t get me wrong - I enjoyed making the mid-season blogs but there is something even more exciting in working on a fight that you 100% know is going to happen next and see all the differences between the DEATH BATTLE and the G1DBFB version. Anyway enough rambling - you want to see who I think wins this matchup of brilliant billionaires.

First let’s get this one out of the way - base Iron Man vs base Bat-Man is a complete stomp - like it’s Multi City Block Level vs Island. It’s not even a competition (it’s probably why DEATH BATTLE has not done this fight till now). But the good thing is that this is not base Iron Man and Base Batman - this is giving them everything they have used over the years in a no holds bar beatdown and that’s where things get very interesting.

In terms of the Hell-Bat, it is undoubtedly  a Herald Tier Suit. Considering that it was built to take out threats equivalent to Superman such as the Eradicator, Kalibak and even Darkseid (at least for a short while). It also has a Devastator mode which theoretically is as powerful as Wonder Woman. It’s safe to say that the Hell-Bat even scaling to the Universe Level characters such as Darkseid Avatar who  traded  blows with New 52 Anti-Monitor, who is a casual universe buster (Metron also stated that Darkseid Avatar/Anti-Mointor’s struggle could destroy the Universe). Even if you argue that Hellbat doesn’t quite that high - the fact that he is able to match someone that powerful is indeed extremely impressive. Kalibek and Eradicator have also been shown to be comparable to Superman so it is consistent.

And that’s not even Batman’s only herald tier suit, we have the Magic Suit who has been shown capable of one-shotting Bizarro. The mech-suit was able to take hits from Ultraman and one-shotted him with a hit from its gauntlet as well as the Anti-Bizzaro Suit which has been  strong enough to take multiple hits from Bizarro and can do well against him. There’s also the infamous manlet - Justice Buster Suit that is capable of fighting against Wonder Woman who is blood lusted as well as the Flash, and Superman. The point is that Bruce has multiple Herald Tier Suits that are capable of fighting opponents who can blow up planets and fight opponents that the moon and suns. And that’s not even going into all the insane equipment that Bruce has (which some will go over later).

So if you give them everything then it would end up being a complete war for Bruce then? Well nope, while Batman definitely has several herald tier suits that he can use - Tony is also the exact same. Iron-Man also has several herald suits that are capable of extremely impressive feats. Tony with the Bleeding Suit edge has hurt the Red Hulk who has durability similar to Base Hulk (Savage Hulk can deflect a universe destroying attack with a thunderclap and has tanked hits from Carol Danvers who is strong enough to throw the Hulk out of orbit. He also made Sentry bleed with a punch - the same Sentry that is powerful enough to destroy moons and Fought Taurus who was able to knock out Thor. The Hulkbusters are capable of going to and to with the Hulk who destroyed an asteroid twice the size of Earth. The point is that despite how insane Bruce’s herald suits are - Tony has several suits that have matched Planet and Star Busters and that’s not going into the higher tier stuff.

So then, then who wins. Ultimately when it comes to this matchup i feel like it comes down to their highest two suits and their hax - who has the superior hax and who has the better best suit. In terms of the best suit - it pretty much comes down to Godbuster MKII vs the Final Bat-Suit. On the one hand you have the Godbuster MKII which was used when theCelestials invaded Earth. It is a Celestial-sized armor with the physical power to temporarily fight a Celestial whose prowess dwarfed that of skyfathers such as Odin Borson. It should be noted that it is stated numerous times that Celestials are strong enough to destroy a universe. One time a Celestial absorbed all the energy of the universe into her armour and sent all of her energy/being into that absorbed Universe/reality and took the form of a female. Scaling to Celestials who are capable of destroying up Universes - makes the Godbuster MKII - Universe to High Universe Level though you could make an argument that the Godbuster MKII is Multiversial. Even ignoring the Godbuster MKII there’s also the Phoenix Buster could split the Phoenix Force into 5 (an avatar of the Phoenix could affect transfinite planes of reality and match Wanda Maximoff’s Chaos Magic (which itself can affect infinite universes as a baseline) this is another Universe Level/Multtiverse level suit that Tony could use in this fight. The Godbuster and the Phoenix Buster are definitely at the highest tier in terms of what both of these characters are capable of - so that means that Tony should win this since he has the more powerful suits then. Well, honestly - no. I will explain my reasoning in a bit but I do think Bruce wins this DEATH BATTLE and that comes down ultimately to two aspects - the Final Bat-Suit and Element X.

Element X is really what keeps Bruce in the game when it comes down to say it. To say that Element X is broken would be a huge underestimation. Element X known at Tenth Metal is the very foundation of the building blocks of the DC universe - literally everything within the multiverse is made from the Tenth Metal in its least concentrated state and that also applies to Batman himself. In terms of what Element X can it warp reality to a way that it can make imagination - possible being able to make anything the user can think of and make it real aka Bruce can imagine something and using Element X he can make it real - for example when Bruce and the rest of the Justice League created weaponry, shielding and armor that was explity made out of Tenth Metal. He uses this substance on a Multiversial level considering that Bruce and the Justice League with Element X literally broke through the Source Wall, a solid barrier surrounding the Multiverse, beyond which lies the Source.

This absolutely broken, reality warping substance is behind Batman’s greatest suit of armour - the Final Bat-Suit. Considering that the Final Bat-Suit is made out of a substance that can completely change reality though - he can change people’s minds by rewriting them cell by cell. I know we have explained earlier in the blog that Tony is resistant to mind hax - however, i don’t really buy that for a few reasons - mostly due to the fact it’s less of the more traditional reality warping and more biological writing of someone's very existence cell by cell. Based on what I have read as well as the powers of even Tony’s top tier suits - I do not really buy that Tony could write literally biological cell reality warping. It should be noted the Final Bat-Suit affected Martian Manhunter, one of the strongest telepaths in the DC universe and is capable of successfully using his mind hax on characters such as Despero, Superman, and the Spectre. So it’s safe to say that the Final Bat-Suit’s hax is extremely powerful and it also has the strength to back u[p tp it considering Bruce used it to take down the Justice League (Wonder Woman, Flash [Barry Allen], Green Lantern [John Stewart], Martian Manhunter, and Hawkgirl). While this is not as high as GodbusterMKII - this means that Final Bat-Suit scale to some of the heaviest hitters in the DC Universe in terms of the heroes - several of which have Universe Level and MFTL feats such as

While i don’t think DC Heralds are stronger than the Celestials the fact that the Final Bat-Suit is even comparable means that while the Godbuster does take stats - the difference in power is not enough at least in my opinion for GodbusterMKII to just overpower Final Bat-Suit through sheer power alone.

That’s not factoring in GodbusterMKII’s biggest weakness when fighting the Final Bat-Suit, while the GodbusterMKII is huge it is also slow in that most of the attacks done by the Godbuster could easily be just dodged by the Final Bat-Suit and then Final Bat-Suit can just use Element X or its own ability to just destory Godbuser. And that’s not even factoring Bruce’s final weapon - the Omniversial Wormhole Bullet. This bullet is a Omniversal Wormhole miniaturized and encased in Element X that is theoretically stated to be capable of teleporting the Totality outside the Source Wall. The Totality is the living power core which created the entirety of the DC Multiverse and should be as powerful as the Seven Forces of the Universe and the Seven Hidden Energies Of Creation combined to a point where cosmic beings like the Quintessence, Mar Novu, and the Justice Legion claimed they couldn’t stop it. If it hits Godkiller MKII then not even the Celestial Tier scaling will be able to save it as it could simply teleport the Godkiller MKII out of existence.

At least to me, I feel that Bruce’s Element X and Omniversal Wormhole Bullet are enough to give him the win. This fight is extremely close and I could honestly see DEATH BATTLE going either way at this point. A fight like this has so many variables to it that literally when you give them everyone - there are thousands of different ways that this fight could hypothetically could play it but in terms of who i think would be the most likely to win - i think while Tony has stats with the Godkiller MKII, Bruce’s insane hax with Element X,Final Bat-Suit and Omniversal Wormhole Bullet give him the slight and i really do mean slight edge in this fight at least to me. While this is a very close fight - Batman’s hax is enough to put an end to the Armoured Avenger.

This was a fun verdict to make - I am pretty certain that not everyone will agree with me but these are my personal thoughts on this fight. I am really excited to see who wins this fight as it could honestly see it going either way. I do wonder what the next fight is going to be though - my guess is Korra vs Rey. Either way:

eXoRy

Hey y’all, eXo here and this my first time here, and let me just say that I’m really happy to be here, working alongside my fellow researchers. With that out of the way, I can safely say (despite my initial thoughts on the matchup) this is faaaaaar closer than probably everyone thought when this was announced and I’d argue Batman's best matchup behind Spider-Man.

While I normally do a standard verdict composing of a breakdown of the stats and abilities / arsenal, I want to do something different from what everyone above me is doing since it’s Batman’s 4th rumble to the death and considering the ridiculous amount of gear these two have (jesus christ), I’ll have Tony run the Batman Challenge Tower of some sort, before talking about their more absurd and broken stuff at the end, in depth, but enough with the jibber-jabbing, let’s begin!

Standard/Base Batman Gear

Yeah… shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone but Tony’s forcefields and defenses can literally counter/tank everything that’s in that Bat-Arsenal he has, it’s to the point where you can argue that his Mark One suit is able to beat Bats via Godbuster scaling, which is just hilarious btw.

Enhanced Batman Stuff

I guess a better name for this is “Batman’s mid-tier gear or his high-end standard stuff”. I do think Tony might have a bit of trouble dealing with this is his base suits (emphasis on ‘a bit’) but the stat gap is still waaaaaaay too big to argue a win-con for Bruce - MCB to Small Town & MHS to Rela+ vs City to Planet & FTL to MTFL. Even then Iron Man’s forcefields and other gadgets can directly counter Batman's stuff e.g. Project Achilles can straight up nullify the Man-Bat Serum and possibly effects given from the Platinum Kryptonite, energy weapons can be quite literally reversed via his Chest Transmitter and Extremis 3.0 allows Stark to overpower in close-quarter combat (ironic isn't’ it), td;lr Batman’s stuff here is just not enhanced enough.

A-Tier Suits & Gear

Now this where things actually start to be close, I call this section; “every one of Iron Man & Batman’s Armour that’s not the ones below”. He has a decent amount of suits that scale to herald like his Anti-Bizzaro Suit which can take multiple hits from Bizarro and actually do a decent amount of damage, his Nanomech Suit; took a hit from a bloodlusted Clark and finally his Magic Armour that beat Bizarro and Ultraman, these suits are definitely comparable and much more powerful than Iron Man’s base suits, however, one big problem these suits have is that they’re just unga-bunga stats and severely lacking in everything else (haxes & all that biz).

However, this isn't counting the other specutam of Iron Man’s herald suits, the Hulkbusters are very similar to the suits listed above as they’re designed to be unga-bunga and really nothing else. Even then he has suits like the Extremis, Bleeding Edge, Model-Prime, amongst others have the strength, versatility and the gear that the A-Tier Batsuits lack, effectively making them superior than Batman’s, however, Bats does have his Insider Suit which makes up for the lack of versatility and abilities the prior armours lacked with essentially just nerfed abilities of the other JL members, and comes at the cost of lower stats than the aforementioned suits. In terms of Batman’s A-Tier Gear, stuff like his Motherbox is really good with it’s BFR, however, Tony’s teleportation can make up it and it's technological manipulation can definitely screw over Tony's non-nano, holographic or sym based suits, the Yellow and Black Lantern Rings is also really good if Bruce wants to up the numbers, even the playing field and prevent himself from dying at the beginning, however, due to the strength of Iron Man’s herald suits being > (due to them not having good charge, therefore, not fully scaling to peak lantern rings), they’re probably going to get chopped off. In the end, this big wall of text is ultimately just a huge waste of time (to me and to you reading this) considering that this isn’t even the most powerful and broken equipment they both possess.

Justice Bust Deez Nuts

It sucks, it only has specific counters against the JL members that Tony does not possess, baseline hearld suit (aka see above), moving on.

Hellbat vs Godbuster

The posterboys of this matchup, from all the promotional material building up to this fight, this is what’s getting built up to, so who wins? Looking at the stats, Hellbat is a solid high-herald tier suit as it can contend with  Eradicator, Kalibak and even Darkseid, although you can argue that it doesn’t fully scale to Darkseid due to the low amounts of damage it did but nevertheless should downscale to these Superman-level threats, meanwhile, the Godbuster, while very vague should scale even higher as Riri Williams states that the Godbuster armor radiated more power than she has ever seen before and she previously has encountered Thanos, who has multiple skyfather level feats (although the scaling is admittedly a bit wack, almost as wack as Sex Pistols scaling Scary Monsters, but you can just scale it of the other skyfather suits which should < than Godbuster as it’s described as “his greatest creation” and it being able to fight and destroy the Motherboard - who had complete control over the eScape, that contains a entire universe), that’s not counting the Hellbat’s weakness of metabolism and life force drain of its user, while yes Batman has lasted more than 24 hours in the suit, increased power usage, major damage, breaches or high energy absorption can hasten this effect, potentially killing him, therefore, with the combination of House Party Protocol with various other herald-suits Iron Man should outlast the Hellbat but the isn’t to say, this is Batman’s most powerful suits, as it is…

The Final Batsuit

 This brand new suit has become the talk of the town so far, why you ask? It’s due to it’s insanely powerful telepathic abilities, as the Son Box (what the suit’s built around) has given Batman the capability of changing people’s minds by rewriting them cell by cell, this includes Martian Manhunter, one of the strongest telepaths in the DC universe and is capable of successfully controlling even the Spectre, and to further prove this telepathic scaling is true he was able to match a Martian’s Psychic Blast with his own. In terms of stats, it’s solid high herald tier as well from being able to injure the Justice League members with his attacks. So with these honestly broken mind abilities that can kill Tony before he can even land a hit, does Iron Man even have a way to counter this? Well let’s see;

  • Psychic Dampeners - These dampeners are apparently powerful enough to resist Professor X from reading Tony’s mind who can battle Dark Phoenix on infinite planes of reality at once, which should make it at Martian Manhunter level right? Well not quite, you see, there's not enough confirmation that it actually worked, due to how short the scene ended, for all we could know, it could have not worked and Charles just didn’t bother telling Stark (what a douche).

  • F.R.I.D.A.Y - Another one the newer abilities, in short, whenever there’s a near-death experience, she could pull his consciousness to the 13th Floor, allowing him to escape death and then put it back in, to could be a good counter if not for that fact it causes degradation to his nucleotide links, every time he tries it, so he realistically can only do it once or twice in this battle, and that’s not countering the fact he may not even have a body to get put back in if Batman completely destroy his body with Element X (which will be talked about in depth later).

  • Microscopic Telepathic Tasers - td;lr, it shouldn’t work due to the Final Batsuit’s helmet protecting him from breathing in these, even at a microscopic level.

  • Digital Clones of his consciousness - See the last point of F.R.I.D.A.Y section, plus, it could be counted as non-reasonable due it not actually being Tony Stark.

  • His own telepathic resistances - Yeah… It certainly can resist effects from characters like Ultron but even then he has a extremely hard time doing so, therefore, Batman can take advantage of this and kill him during this state or overpower his telepathic resistance due to his mindhax being layered (yes, it did affect Wanda but that when she was still developing her powers).

  • Telepathic Inverter - This could genuinely be way to resist the Final Batsuit (kinda), you see, the FB was specifically designed to counter the League, in previous issues Lex Luthor wielded a suit that contained a countermeasure similar to that of Tony', therefore, you could argue to what Batman was doing as well, however, this is not counting the fact that his rewriting works differently from frequencies as it rewrites on a cellular level, therefore, it might not work but it might work on the same time.

  • Black Box Recovery Module - A more reliable option than the ones above but not by a lot as it’s essentially Tony jumpings ships, basically he’s able to completely reboot his soul and mind, as a copy of his brain with the same memories as before, nullifying the mindwipe, however, the problem is it takes time to do so, putting him out of battle for a bit which Bats could take advantage of, but luckily due to the suits’ ability to pilot themselves even when blacked out, it should survive long enough before Tony takes control again.

  • Undershealth - By far the best counter against the FB’s mindwipe, it literally turns his brain into a hard-drive which is stated to be completely immune to psychic attacks, Bats really can’t do anything in this situation but hack it, however, due to Tony’s own hacking skills and the time it takes, I doubt he could successfully pull it of before getting Unibeamed.

So what we have learnt here, Iron Man does have counters against one of Batman’s greatest weapons in this fight, while not exactly good but it’s still enough to counter it, with Batman’s best suit out of the way, let’s talk about Tony’s;

Godkiller Mark II

This is arguably Tony’s most powerful suit, allowing him to fight the Dark Celestials whose sheer power dwarfed that of skyfathers such as Odin who could threaten every reality, as well as be able to tearing apart the multiverse, but why the emphasis on the ‘arguably’ part you may ask, it’s because stated to "not be on the same power levels" as them and lost 25% of its power within a ridiculously short amount of time, so does Tony actually scale (kinda), let me explain even though it did get significantly roughed up in the fight against those Dark Celestials, one thing to point out already is that the DC are actually much more powerful than average counterparts, who already are strong enough to destroy a universe and even with its power draining faster than a Nintendo Switch, it still was able to take out several Celestials during it’s self-destruction. Another very important thing to note is that GK II was modelled off of the original GK, which objectively does scale to Celestials, so yes he does downscale to skyfather level feats but should be on the lower spectrum when it comes to that. Why is this important? Because combined with his other skyfather level suits (Godbuster, Phoenix Buster, Virtual Armour, Extrembiote Armour, Iron Destroyer - I’m sure everyone else above me explained the reasons for them being Skyfather) and herald suits (Ultronbuster, Bleeding Edge, Extremis, Endosym, Model-Prime, Thorbuster, both Hulkbusters - which again I’m sure everyone else above me explained the reasons for them being herald) that he can summon and use along with him at the same time (that’s not counting the amount of unique abilities, AOE and range they each have to keep Batman at a range), it’s safe to say the Iron Man Armours >>> Batman’s Armours. But wait! That doesn’t mean that Batman is out yet as he does have a few more tricks up his bat-sleeve…

Miniaturized Omniversal Wormhole Bullet

This may come as a big shock to you all but Iron Man genuinely doesn’t have a reliable counter to it, you see, this bullet isn’t “omniversal” or anything but rather it’s a super OP BFR that can send people outside the Source Wall. Yes, you heard me right the Source Wall, there is no way Tony is getting back from that even with his teleporters as the Source Wall is the literal barrier that surrounds the DC Multiverse and beyond it space and time is irrelevant, plus, and the void beyond the Source Wall is stated to be powerful enough to destroy the Totality, the living power core which created the entirety of the DC Multiverse and should be as powerful as the Seven Forces of the Universe and the Seven Hidden Energies Of Creation combined to a point where cosmic beings like the Quintessence, Mar Novu, and the Justice Legion claimed they couldn’t stop it (several cosmic/skyfather beings arguably stronger than the beings Iron Man’s skyfather tiers suits can scale), there’s just no way Tony can survive out there. Why doesn’t Tony have a reliable counter for this, let’s see;

  • Forcefields & Suit Defenses - Doesn’t matter when it could teleport something way out of Tony’s league.

  • Ghost Tech - While I thought this could be a reliable counter at first, the bullet could teleport the Totality which distorts space and time and Ghost Tech has shown problems against temporal-based attacks and Herald - Skyfather level weaponry

  • Time Travel - Again, it teleported the Totality which exists at the same time of all of history.

  • 13th Floor/eScape - See my point on F.R.I.D.A.Y in the Final Batsuit section, Tony ain’t using eScape to escape this

  • Infinity Stones - They don’t work past their own universe as established in Thanos vs Darksied

So does that mean that Tony is completely screwed? Nope because he still has one counter, quite simple actually, dodging. Yup, a bit anticlimactic but Tony could just unironical just dodge the bullet as we never saw the bullet actually being fired, we have no idea how fast it is. Speaking of speed, some of you guys may think; “isn’t Batman faster than Iron Man, therefore, should land the shot?”, first of all the gun’s scale doesn’t scale to the user and second that’s only with quantifiable speed feats which yes, Bruce is faster from scaling John Stewart who is comparable to Hal Jordan, who has sent SoS probes across the entire universe in a heartbeat, that feat equates to 37 duodecillion c while Tony’s best quantifiable feat is scaling to Valkyrie, who scoured every point in the ten realms in the blink of an eye which only equates to 3 undecillion c, that Green Lantern probe feat is laughably higher than Valkyries’. But again with infinite to immeasurable speed scaling, Iron Man just has better reliability, most of DC’s infinite to immeasurable speed feats are either in the Speed Force, at their emotional peaks of power or time related, all of which is just dubious to say that Batman fully scales to unlike Iron Man’s Odin scaling where he was able to fight beyond space, time, and thought, is far more reliable.

Element X

This is probably Batman’s best win-con in this situation, it possesses reality warping capabilities that allows Bats to battle herald-skyfather beings, however, I do think stuff like Tony’s reality stone can match or even counter Element X due to it being able to grant its owner access to the entire multiverse, making it in the similar caliber.

Final Thoughts

So in the end, honestly, this could go both ways, a literal 50/50, but if in the end I do think that Iron Man has that 1% to pull though, he has far more reliable wincons then Bruce and given how he could resist pretty much all of Bruce’s haxes and has the literal power to put Batman down even in his most powerful suits, I do think Iron Man wins this in a ridiculously super, super, super close battle, unless I’m forgetting...

...something

Welp, looks like I have to change my vote now.

This has been really fun and hopefully the fight delivers the fun as well (and in terms of Marvel vs DC please do Ant-Man vs Atom next), CowHeadGod out.

Da Lunge Fish

Heya, Lunge here. And most of you probably thought they saw a paradox in their life, yet here you are, observing the dumbest creature in existence talking about some of the smartest humans in the history of the comics.

But we have a battle to decide here, don’t we? This the first time Death Battle gives anyone time for prep (unless you count Pingas vs Wahwee), which is unsurprising, given otherwise Baman’s win-loss record would be 1-3 (with his only W being inaccurate). But it’s highly likely it will be 1-3. Who knows.

Anyway, just as with them only having their standard equipment, Batman gets destroyed AP wise hard. Probably, even more so than if they had only the standard arsenal, as Tony has so many different  (insert OP marvel character)busters, it’s surprising he never had a TOAA buster at some point.

At his best, Batman could only scale to multiversal with his top armors, via being comparable to some of the higher end heralds in the DC universe, like Kalibak and Eradicator. Which is certainly very powerful, but not quite a match for the guy voiced by the actor from that shitty Dolittle movie being comparable to Marvel celestials, like the Phoenix Buster splitting the phoenix force, the Godkiller MK II fighting off Dark celestials, etc. Basically, the Final Batsuit can’t hope to compete with such a level of power.

Now, speed. This one is more interesting. With pure numbers, Bruce Banner blows Tony Woodward out of the water, with Green Lantern’s probe feat reaching 37 duodecillion c. Now, there were some problems with the feat, but I don’t believe they are absolutely correct. It was argued that Hal knew where the GLs were, but he explicitly failed to find any. Also, about his scanning capabilities lessening the feat, Hal explicitly searched the whole universe, and even if they had a solar system level field of you, Bruce would still far, far outspeed 3 undecillion Tony. But, those were just the finite speed feats. Immeasurable time. I should say that Tony being that fast probably has more merit, only if his scaling is more clear cut. The likes of Odin fighting beyond space, thought and time. Batman, meanwhile, has some too. Mainly superman time travelling with sheer speed, Shazam flying to the Rock of eternity (which is outside of space-time). Some might argue that Batman can’t scale to Superman, but for the time travelling feats, he isn’t really at the emotional peak, or anything. Unless Clark is at his absolute peak, Bruce’s highest suits should definitely scale to the likes of Kalibak, who could match him. Now, this is tricky. I feel like Batman’s feats are a little more direct, as it’s a bit more blatant, , while Stark has better scaling, although his feats are more vague. I feel that scaling to finite speed is better, as it raises less questions and is overall far more clear. With that, Bruce vastly outspeeds, but can he deal with being overpowered like that?

Well, here a magical word that every vs debater knows comes into play - hax. And Batman has a lot of it. The best of all is the element X, the one that the Final Batsuit is made of. It is essentially an insane reality warping tool, with that, Bruce was said to be able to mindhax the entire JLA by rearranging their brains. That’s something not even a mindhax resistance can deal with, as it’s more of a mix of reality warping and matter manipulation. Note that Batman would only need to do it to Tony himself, not his suit. And while the AI could reset Tony’s brain, it could never deal with it being rewriting cell by cell. And many of the JLA members do resist reality and matter manipulation in some way.

This is not all. There is the omniversal bullet, a crazy BFR device. Now, it’s not standard, but was designed by Bruce, so it’s worth mentioning. Or the motherbox that Bruce has kept, that allows him to have insane molecular manipulation, telepathy, matter manipulation, etc. Long story short, I think Batman’s got it. Speed+hax is a deadly combination, especially in the hands of a genius like Batman. I don’t think I need to explain what makes him such a tactical prodigy. In the end, Tony’s gonna be the one dancing with the devil in pale moonlight.

Oh, right, silly me, I forgot the best argument that seals Batman’s W.

Batman VS Iron Man (DEATH BATTLE!) Prediction

    1. [SPOILER]

They gave Iron Man the win. They neglected to give Batman Brother Eye while giving Iron Man FRIDAY. For some reason, Death Battle hates Batman. Not counting the Captain America fight, their reasoning always starts with "Batman is good, buuuuuuut..." while also forgetting to mention stuff Batman has that should've put him on par or better than his opponents. Tony doesn't control his arsenal, FRIDAY does. Brother Eye hacks computer systems as easily as a human breathes. So does Ultron, by the way, and even Iron Man couldn't figure out how to hack the robot with Ultron constantly rewriting his own firewalls every time Stark tried. Literally the only reason Iron Man beat Ultron at the end of "Age of Ultron" was because Wolverine and Invisible Woman traveled to the past and convinced Ant-Man (Hank Pym) to write a backdoor into Ultron's code.

And before anyone talks about plot armor, Marvel has had their dumb moments with it, like Hawkeye getting riddled with bullets and was on the verge of death. He was saved solely by plot armor: a random passerby seeing him bleeding out and calling 911 from a conveniently-placed payphone.

    2. Yeah, the hacking bit was kind of bizarre. Batman could easily hack one of Tony's suits just as easily as Tony could hack one of his. Their hacking abilities are at bare minimum equal, but they treated Tony's as a boon exclusive to him.

Maybe they'll address stuff like this in the podcast this week. I just wish they could've mentioned it in the episode proper.

      Delete
    3. I also found it odd they didn't bring in Brother eye considering it works just like Iron Man's usage of FRIDAY, though I don't see it changing much overall given how both are used.

Granted, both of them could still hack into each others suits and backup's, but I think what they their trying to say is that given Iron Man's greater tech achievements and specialties, he would've likely had made the first and final move in most scenarios. Like Smuckle already said, they will likely address this in their upcoming podcast (whenever that is).

    4. he dosen't matter. Iron Man don't even need to be there in the fight

      Iron Man can phase him
      Iron Man absorbs his powers
      Iron Man can Nanotect him

Iron Man have too much in his favour

batman have one chance to win(Final Batsuit and that's all)
when Iron Man have more chance to win than Batman

    5. Ok you don’t need to take everything death battle says as facts the blog show Batman having counters to that 😒

      Delete
    6. You also don't need to take everything this blog says as facts especially when we're shown and told on both here and Death Battle Iron Man having just as many, if not arguably more, counters to Batman.

    7. The only moron here is you sweetie. Just goes to show how little people like you understand these are nothing more then “prediction” blogs. Nothing here will be confirmed by death battle until they do it themselves, regardless if their right or wrong to begin with.

And no, this fight could not go either way. Batman needs more specific scenarios in order to win while Iron Man doesn’t. Simple as that.

      Delete
    8. No, seems the only actually buffoon here is you and yes this fight can go either way

      Delete
    9. No, it can’t. Batman can only win in a few specific scenarios while Iron Man doesn’t in order to win. Give a legit reason otherwise you look like a moron as usual.

    10. Batman need to have specific situations to win(final bat suit and Iron man have counter to that)

When Iron Man wins more often and don't need to be in specific situation to win

  5. Great prediction in returning for Death Battle. Truly went all out in research and I can not wait for the premire second half.

  6. Good Analysis. A lot of things covered here, which makes sense given how extensive Batman and Iron Man history is. Also helps that the deciding factor is a bit tricky depending on what gadgets and suits are being used here and how Death battle will analyze them.

Just saw the fight, and I agree with the overall results. Definitely one of, if the closest, Death Battle we got so far this season.

  7. While I'm happy Iron Man won (Though I wouldn't have minded if Batman won for the same reason I was rooting for Jason in Red Ranger vs Leonardo; the poor guy has taken so many L's), their reasoning felt kinda weak. It's true that this fight could go either way, but they left a lot of Bats's stuff out, a lot of it could have gotten him the win. No bullet, no Element X, no final batsuit, he only really got the Hellbat suit.

You could say that Tony had counters to the bullet and element x like some of the verdicts in the blog, and it'd be fine if they brought them up, but they just ignored those bits completely. Good episode either way, just felt the reasoning was kind of odd.

Next time is gonna be pretty damn crazy.

    1. Tony don't even need to there for the fight, he can just send suti fight for him. Mephiisto have better hacks than Final Batsuit. Tony have mind resistance too. Iron Man is too much for Batman. Batman lose again for 3rd time

      Delete
    2. Not really too much for him but yes it’s debatable he can win

      Delete
    3. I think the reason they ignored things like element x is because it's pretty iffy on giving Batman the automatic win. As the bloggers Nineten or Akhil pointed out above, Batman never uses Element X in any official capacity/has nothing that it works with so he can't really use it here. Plus, that mean's we would give Iron Man the Infinity Gauntlet, which basically counters/trumps Element X, so nothing would've changed overall.

      Delete
    4. Iron man have more tools to win than batman who have only one way to win with the final batsuit that's all

      Delete
    5. Yes, only one way, unless you can find good enough reasons to say otherwise. But by all means, keep deluding yourself by being a fanboy yourself.

      Delete
    6. Unless you’re trying to lowball Batman in that way

      Delete
    7. Batman ain’t being lowballed. Just nothing he has gives him an automatic winning edge over Iron Man.

    8. Iron Man wins more often than batman. Final Batsuit is not enough to be the deciding factor for him to against who Iron Man have to much tools and way to win agasint Batman

    2. Yeah, no kidding. The fact he/she hasn’t provided a legit counter argument besides crying out fanboy and calling us idiots just shows what kind of mind set people like him/her have. Nothing to show for it.

  11. This all started cause you couldn’t accept this was a close match, the only one here that is salty is you for assuming I’m salty over CHARACTERS I LOVE 😡😡😡!!!!(both Batman and Iron man) my goodness don’t even know why I try 😔, good day

    ReplyDelete
  12. You don’t seem to get it do you? This was a close match by the blog, but not by Death Battle. Only with the Hellbat and Final Batsuit is Batman going to be able to match up to Iron Man, and it’s still pretty iffy based scenario. Everywhere else, Iron Man does take this pretty easily.

This all started because you are the one that’s being so salty. The only counter argument you ever provided for Batman is literally calling us fanboys, idiots, etc. sure we called you that as well, but at least we actually give legit reasons why Iron Man wins. Until you provide an actual reasoning to say otherwise, you have no real say on who should win this fight. Hopefully you will learn this in the future instead of simply saying fanboy and insulting others over and over like that helps you.

And please stop posting the same thing like four times. It makes you look desperate and weak in trying to explain yourself. Honestly, I’m surprised I’m trying to explain this to you at all.

    1. Even death battle said this was close they literally stated iron man just had better tech and more versatility and Batman options were limited that’s all, and assuming I’m salty even though I like both is pretty stupid if you ask me, being childish just cause you can’t accept the fact that this was close, you know what just forget it’s obvious that this isn’t getting us anywhere, I really hate dc fans and marvel fans I’ll just leave you to your opinion I guess 😒

      Delete
    2. I was never being childish, nor was I ever being salty. Your the one who clearly was considering you expected Batman was going to win, but it turned out to be Iron Man. Then you started insulting others like me who were trying to correct you on your mistake.

There is nothing stupid about this other then how you keep making weak insults and excuses for yourself and towards others. If your going to make these kinds of arguments, have a legit reason as to why Batman should win since you obviously wanted him to.

You misunderstood Death Battle. They said the fight was close if Batman had Hellbat or Final Batsuit in the fight, otherwise he was pretty much outclassed without them. They explicitly said this in their video at the end.

You contradict yourself quite a bit in your new post. You say you love Batman and Iron Man, yet you really hate DC and Marvel. Unless those are the only characters you like, your just grasping at the straws at this point.😔

Yeah, I don’t know why I’m still arguing this with you. Especially since your not making any legit counter arguments back towards me.

    3. He will be happy if Batman wins agasint Iron Man for sure lmao.

  13. I expected Batman to win but didn’t care if he lost I’ve been telling you how many times I like both so I won’t care

  14. I said I hate dc and marvel FANS!!!! are you even reading my post or just looking for some reason to make me look salty

    ReplyDelete
  15. Yeah which they did give him hellbat which means it was a close fight your literally proving my point

    ReplyDelete
  16. When I first posted in this g1 blog that Batman who I thought won were like bleh for some odd reason which annoyed cause me you looked like a salty fanboy and kept doing, (and your point doesn’t make any sense, say Batman without his hellbat and final batsuit is like saying if tony didn’t have any of his suits he be stomped, even though this fight was heavily focused on the suits not Batman on his lonesome) why wouldn’t I be flustered right now if a guy who comes out of nowhere and tells me Batman got stomped then argues with me with no freaking evidence that this wasn’t close.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Sorry not flustered I meant to say frustrated

    ReplyDelete
  18. Okay, quite a few things you seem to misunderstand on my part or outright ignore. I'll explain each of them to the best of my capacity

First, you expected Batman to win because to you and the prediction blog above, this is a close match and Batman has had a pretty bad losing streak in Death Battle so far. However, once the fight came out with Iron Man winning and people like me revealing otherwise, you quickly started insulting us and for trusting "morons like Death Battle" for what happened. Even when we pointed out many reasons why this isn't true and why you were wrong on the assumptions of Batman winning, you continued with your childish insults and tantrums, calling us "Buffon's, idiot's, fanboys" etc. Ergo, you were (and probably still) being salty over what happened. Never once were we being salty because we didn't disagree with the outcome. That, by no mean's, makes us fanboys.

Second, you once again misunderstood Death Battle and my reasoning. Batman needs suits like Hellbat and Final Batsuit to go toe to toe with most of Iron Man suits, including Godkiller and the like. However, it is only in this scenario can Batman possibly pull a win here and there, and it's pretty iffy considering Iron Man can match every feat he has with his own (Mental resisting, defeating deities, etc).

Now, when we look simply everywhere else besides their trump cards, THAT's how this fight becomes pretty one sided. Iron Man's suits can fly, Fire overpowered missiles and rockets, destroy cities and mountains, form barrier's and shield's that counter a majority of Batman's gadgets, drain energy, phase through others, etc. Batman's got a good amount of things for his standard suits, but nowhere are they as advanced, powerful, or varied as Iron Man's. That's what Death Battle said and what we are trying to tell you; Only with the HellBat and Final Batsuit is Batman going to have a chance at winning, and it's not guaranteed. Not sure how I'm proving your so called point when I'm clearly proving mine and Death Battle's own (and I already provided legit evidence while you clearly have shown none).

Thirdly, that makes no sense. Why would Iron Man fight Batman without his suits? Of course he's going to lose, he always fights with his suits. Same with Batman. Sure, they can fight without their suits if they have to, but that's not standard nor how they fight a majority of the time. This fight focused entirely on their suits, but that's to so the obvious advantages Iron Man had over Batman. Plain and simple.

So yes, when you look at it, Iron Man does stomp here pretty easily. Only when Batman has Hellbat and/or Final Batsuit is this a fair fight, which should tell you what happens in nearly every other scenario; Iron Man takes it with little effort. That's what we are trying to tell you, but you ignore or refuse to accept that while claiming us all morons, insulting us, and claiming otherwise with no actual (and legit) evidence to back it up. Nowhere am I and others being salty, only you seem to be. Hope this help's.

(On another note, my bad. I didn't see the word "fan's" when posting that. Fine enough to hate the fan's I guess, but considering you love Batman and Iron Man, seems rather odd. Why?)

    1. Thank you. You sais everything i wanted to say to blaze. Blaze didn't even give a reason of why Batman winning.

The Iron Man vs Batman is Sanji vs Lee Gates 8 all over again

8 Gates Lee is only way Lee can match against Sanji. But that's not enough to give him the win.

This is the same thing with Final Batsuit(featless suit since he have only the Mind hax ability who can be counter by Tony Stark Mind resistance experience againt Mephisto and X Men)

Weaker version of the suit fought Celestials and Iron Man always Upgrade his suits

Soon Iron Man will have a new armor(Cosmic God Armor) this is too much for Batman.

Death Battle have to give 3 Minutes Anlaysis why a certain character wins. They can't said Final Batsuit only lmao. That's not how that works.

Iron Man wins 98% of his Scenarios fights against Batman
when Batman wins 10% of his scenario fights against Final Suit.

Death Battle is more a propability who winning than who winning for certain circonstances
